"I don't want to see them." There was doubt in her voice. Of course she wanted to know her family! But... How heartbreaking would it be for them to find out that she had no idea who they were...? She wanted to spare them of that. "Keep them away. I don't want to see them." She repeated herself, head in her hands again, the covers hiding her entire body but her mass of long black hair.
She looked up from the covers though, as he explained her power. There must be more to it then that. Force Fields were barriers... They blocked things, protected people. "Is that why I can't remember anything?" Was it normal amnesia she had? Or was it her power blocking the memories?

"Alright, alright. Hazel and I will make sure they're not allowed to see you until you give permission."
He looked over at Hazel, giving her a small nod and a smile. He placed his hands gently on Rose's shoulders as she placed her head in her hands, showing her that he would help her out the best he could. When she looked up at him and asked if her powers were the reason why she couldn't remember anything, it struck Hank like a slap upside the head. He stood up, placing his chin in his hand as he thought.
"Yes...yes that could be a very good possibility. Though I've never known mutant powers to be the cause for amnesia, but anything is possible I suppose. It's definetly something to look into." he gave her a smile. They were starting to get somewhere.

Rose nodded softly. Good. She didn't want to hurt their feelings by refusing them admittance, but it would hurt them much more to see her. She had to make sure they didn't suffer as much. Even if she had no idea who they were.
"Powers can do everything imaginable, right? Infinite possibilities, right?" She might not remember anything, but Rose could still access the rest of her knowledge. Stuff learned in books she couldn't recall, classes she couldn't remember. The information was just there, it's origins missing. "Then... Did something happen? Like... A reason my power would... would stop me from remembering?" She wanted to know. What was stopping her from remembered? "What happened to me before... Before I woke up?" She didn't know when the last time she'd been awake was, after all.

"Well yes, powers have infinite possibilities. But to have a trigger that would enable powers to give someone amnesia would have to be something emotional. Like an experience a person wouldn't want to remember."
Hank tried to think of what could have happened to have Rose's powers give her amnesia. When Rose asked what had happened before she wound up in the hospital, Hank ran through the events in his mind until he came to his own conclusion. His eyes widened as he looked to Hazel, hoping she got the same idea he did. If he was right, Ian was the cause for Rose's amnesia, and that news would no doubt kill him. He sighed, looking to Rose.
"Rose, when I mention the name Ian Snyder, how does that make you feel inside? There's good reason for asking this question."

Emotional? So... Something had happened to Rose! Maybe not a physical injury... But.. Something had happened, something she couldn't explain. What would be so bad, that she would want to forget so much, that she erased her own memory?
She didn't like thinking that. That she had done this to herself. Why would she ever be so desperate to forget everything? Even who she was?
A name? Why was Hank asking her if that name meant anything? None the less, she closed her eyes, concentrating on the name, trying to get some sort of answer. Moments passed...
Rose shook her head.
"Nothing. Is he someone important?" She was a little curious now. Who was this 'Ian Snyder'? "Who is he?"

"Ian is someone who, before you lost your memory, was someone very close to you." he hesitated, trying to find a way to best explain what happened, "From what we were told, a man took him and turned him evil, then caused him to betray you. But something about you saved him and turned him back to good, we're not sure how or what exactly happened. My guess is that his betrayal caused you to be this way."
That had to be it he thought to himself. Hank was sure about the situation now. The closeness between the two no doubt traumatized Rose to the point where she gave herself amnesia. Outside the room, Ian had made it before Sky and Parker, opening the door in time to hear the story. He stood there completely stunned, unable to move and unable to speak.

Sky kept tabs on Rose at all times and knew immediately when she awoke, but something was different...Rose was confused and Sky dug deeper. A gasp escaped her lips and several students stopped and stared at her. Rose...had amnesia. Her sister had forgotten everything. Tears escaped from Sky, the pain manifesting itself now...Rose didn't even remember her own sister. She heard the conversation between the doctors and Rose and was hurt that Rose didn't want to see her, to add to insult to injury. But...Sky was too scared to see Rose. She stayed where she was and wandered the grounds, still monitoring what was going on.

As with Sky, Parker was also keeping track of Rose and when she woke up, he immediately ran for the infirmary. When he reached the entrance, Parker encountered Hank, blocking the entrance. His anger flared up.
"I want to see Rose. Now." He demanded. Parker breathed heavily, from running all the way across the grounds.

Rose didn't look at anyone as Hank told the 'story'. "It sounds like a little kid story." She admitted at last. She almost didn't believe it. How could something like that happen in real life? Betrayed her how? And how close was this Ian to her? "I'm sorry. It doesn't sound familiar." She kept racking her brain, for something that hadn't been forgotten. Something that had been left behind, even by accident.
Rose's gaze started to wander again, trying to answer her own questions once more. What were these Ian, Sky, and Parker like? She wanted to know. But if they saw her... They'd be hurt. Hurt that she couldn't recognize them, or remember anything about them. She only knew their names because of Hank. Right now.... She didn't want to see anyone. Let herself try and remember some things first, so they wouldn't be as hurt.

Hazel had left the room after Hank and herself had figured out why Rose had forgotten everything. The betrayal. She made sure to lock the door, so the students wouldn't be able to break the door down. But with Parker or Sky? THey'd just mind control her to unlock it. And as fate would have it, Ian AND Parker had just shown up. And Ian had heard everything...
"Ian..." She stopped, only when Parker showed up, anger oozing off of him. "I'm sorry Parker. She's specifically asked us to keep you and Sky away."

"It's hard to explain how this could have affected you, but I'm sure that's what happened."
He heard a noise coming from the other end of the room. He gave Rose a small pat on the foot before turning to see what the problem was. He stood in the door way in time to see both Parker's angry look and Ian's stunned and obviously horrified look. Ian saw Hank as well and started backing up.
"Why...why didn't you tell me?" Ian said, looking from Hazel to Hank and then back, "She can't remember anything...and it's my fault."

Parker just looked at Rose through the doorway. She was obviously confused and he rummaged through her mind, checking on what was going on. His eyes widened in surprise and horror. Amnesia...? His eyes narrowed in pain and he clenched his hands into fists, shaking just a little. You hardly got an emotional response from Parker, but Rose was a soft spot for him. A small tear left him. Parker had just lost his only friend...the only person he could really talk to. The former Rose knew his pain...but now, this Rose didn't even remember his name. Parker gritted his teeth in anger and turned towards Ian.
"This is your fault! She cared about you...Rose told me about you. She spoke so highly of you...and this is how you repay her." More tears, but Parker stared Ian down, a fire in his eyes. "Well, I hope you're happy." Parker then turned to Hank again, that passionate fire still in him.
"Please let me see my cousin." He demanded firmly.

"Parker!" Hazel's voice was harsh, so harsh it would make anyone flinch. She stepped forward, between the two boys, staring both of them down. "Ian, this is not your fault!" She'd already given him a prep talk about none of this being his fault! Yet he was sinking back into that slump already! "We don't know that it's intentional. The drug that Cain prepared, it could have been much more dangerous then we predicted." That was doubtful, but it was still a possibility. The drug had already worn off when Rose was back to the school, so they couldn't test to see what it was.
She turned on Parker though. "And you! I will not let you blame him for this, or start any fight. Apologize to Ian, now." The look she was giving Parker, it just dared him to argue with her, to go against her orders.

Rose had just sat on the bed when Hank left to the door, unlocking it and opening it. What was going on out there? She didn't recognize the voices. She knew one was Hazel, another Hank. The other two... Boys? Neither sounded familiar. But... They were arguing... It sounded like one of them wanted to see her. Slowly, Rose slipped off the bed, her bare feet silent on the cold floor. She wore a simple white night gown that touched just about her knees.
Crossing to the door, she lightly touched Hank, to let him know she was there, so that he might let her see more clearly what was going on out there.
The first thing the boys might notice was just how pale Rose looked from two months in a coma.
She spotted two boys. One looked her age, the other a little older. The one her age looked mad, and was obviously the loud one. The other... Looked like he just might run off in depression. No sign of recollection crossed her face. Who were they?

"I'm sorry, but there's specific requests from her not to see anyone right now." Hank said.
Ian just stood there, staring into the room where Rose was. He continued to back up, and quickly looked to Parker as the man shouted at him. He's right. Right about everything Ian thought to himself It's my fault she's like this. My fault she doesn't remember anybody. Doesn't remember Sky...Parker...or me. It's my fault.
"You're right...you're right..." he said, looking from Parker to Hazel as he backed down the hallway, "I'm sorry...sorry for everything."
Tears began running down his eyes, and he soon turned and took off down the hall. He could still hear Rose's laughter, see her smile, the light in her eyes, but it was all gone now. The bullet wounds in his leg still ached, but he was slowly getting back into his running speed. But even now it was too slow for him.
