There was no reaction from Rose for a moment as she watched him, still trying to figure out what to think about the Rabbit Boy. He obviously liked her, and they'd been close. Maybe, when she'd had her memories, this type of thing wouldn't be creepy. With out them? Yeah. Creepy, freaked her out, and just plain weird. "Yeah..... Still creepy."
She grabbed a hair tie, looping it through her hair several times to keep her braid together, before crossing her arms across her chest and staring at him. He looked like... He was just waiting for something, which was still pretty creepy. But what was he waiting for?
((XD The 'new' Rose is starting to think Ian is creepy! XD XD XD ))

(yeah thanks ) "Ok, no more creepiness from me then." He had to keep reminding himself that he and Rose weren't together, at least not how she was now. They were back to being friends, even a little less then that. He waited until she got settled before revealing why he was here. "Rose, we're not staying here for long. Xavier is having you live with a family and he wants me to be there with you. It's only temporary until your memories start coming back."

((^.^))
Rose doubted that. He'd end up doing something that would be just as creepy as before sooner or later. He'd forget that she wasn't the same Rose he'd known. He'd do something that only the 'real' Rose would understand, and just make this Rose think him even creepier.
With a sigh, Rose sat back down on the bed, keeping just a little distance between them, she didn't want him in her personal bubble after all!, and listened to what he said. Who was Xavier? She had to think. Hazel had mentioned the name, it was someone important here at the school... She couldn't remember exactly what had been said. Wait, we? He was coming with her? Why..? But, if that's what they wanted to do... She'd go with it. Finally she nodded. "Okay." She didn't care to much. She didn't know this place, couldn't call it home. If anything, now would be the best time to spend time away from the place, when she didn't have any attachment to it yet.

(and you're probly gonna have her remember the Nighshades first otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it)
He watched her as she moved back in her bed. He was really making her uncomfortable and that's what was eating him up inside the most. He saw the surprised look on her face when she said we, and couldn't help but realise she didn't want him to be around her that much. So he tried to think how it would help, then he got an idea.
"I'll be back in a sec." he sped out and came back a little while later, holding two small objects in his hand. He placed one by her side so she would be able to get it and held one up in his hand. He clicked a small red button and a light on both of them lit up, and when he took his finger off, the light turned off.
"It's a little device that You...I mean...Rose and I came up with when we first met. When you click that button the light will come on, and I'll be there when you need me. Okay?"

((*evil grin* Maybe. Or maybe I am planning something else! MUHAHAHHAHAHH. ))
It wasn't that she liked being uncomfortable around the older boy. She just... Didn't know him. And he was clinging to her like glue! It was unnerving and freaky, and creepy, and weird, and... Just about a dozen other things at the same time!
Then, he was gone. Ugh, his moving so quickly he near vanished was a little annoying. Sure, there seemed to be a little blur to it, so it wasn't exactly teleportation, but it was a lot faster then what the naked eye could follow. While it was gone, she was almost tempted to use what Hank had called barriers, what her power let her create, over the doorway just to see if he'd be able to stop himself before he ran into it. She stopped the thought. She'd experiment with her power later. Besides, that would seem to mean of her... He'd probably get annoyed and angry if she did something like that.
The strange device he set next to her didn't look familiar, didn't feel familiar, didn't spark anything. It was just a random techie thing that she felt no attachment to. A weird sort of walkie talkie that, instead of moving sound from one end to the other, just signaled a light in the other. Great. Seemed pretty useless. But Ian obviously thought it was important. "How would you know where I am, though?"

He watched as she looked it over curiously, cursing himself even more now since he was making her even more uncomfortable. When she looked it over curiously, he just sat there watching and didn't say anything until she asked how they would be able to find each other.
"It's a tracking device. The faster the light flashes, the closer we are to each other."
To prove what he ment, he picked up his device and walked out of the room. He walked all the way down to the end of the hall, then turned and faced the room. He clicked the device and both the light on the device in his hand and the one in Rose's hand began flashing with a steady beat. He started walking towards the room, the light flashing faster with each step. When he entered the room the light was a solid light. He clicked off the device and walked back to the chair.
"It doesn't make any noise either, so if you're in trouble, nobody will be able to know you're signaling for help."

Tracking device... So he could randomly just press the button and find her whenever he wanted? Yeah, that wasn't creepy at all! Rose almost rolled her eyes at her own thoughts. She'd just have to hope he didn't use it to find her any random hour of the day. Her thoughts wandered though as he demonstrated, not at all interested in how it worked. She was thinking about something else. Why would she need something like this? He thought she'd get in trouble with some people? Why? Why was everything treating her like someone was after her?! "What sort of trouble... Do you mean...?" What weren't these people telling her?! She hated they were keeping secrets from her. She didn't care if they were doing it to 'protect' her, she wanted to know what it was they were so worried about!

And then she asked it. The one question he was afraid to answer, but he knew that if she was going to trust him, the only thing that would help him out is being honest. He laced his fingers together, looking down and thinking of how he was going to explain things. How can someone explain that her family is out to kill her, or at least one member of it anyway, and how do you tell somebody that a lunatic is working with them to help get rid of her? He took a deep breath, looking to Rose as he spoke.
"From your cousin...and a lunatic named Cain." he sighed, then continued Xavier's gonna kill me for this, but she has to know, "Shadow...your cousin, s you because you're good, and she wants to kill you to get to Parker. I said I was your bodyguard, and I meant it, I'm your bodyguard against them. Cain tried to use me to get to you but failed, but it cost you your memories. You have another cousin, Sky, but she's good...well...as good as she can be. She'd do anything to help you."
And there, he told her. He was prepared for whatever reaction she was going to have. Either freaking out, him or running away entirely. He just hoped that either way, he had earned her trust even a little. He didn't want to tell her the fears of her memories coming back, otherwise she might not want to remember. No, that he'll face on his own when the time comes.

Her.... Family was trying to kill her? And so was some other random person with a stupid name like Cain? What sort of name was that?! Who feared a guy named 'Cain'? It reminded her of a walking cane, or a candy cane! That wasn't fearsome at all!
"'Cain' could have come up with another name. One that couldn't be slaughtered with stupid jokes." She finally said. For some reason... Rose didn't sound freaked out. Rather odd of her... If anything it reassured her. Now she knew what to look out for. Well, better then not knowing! Still... it wasn't entirely reassuring. The people after hew knew her. They'd take advantage of her being unable to recognize them... That was the scary part. Knowing your enemy, but at the same time, not knowing them.

He waited in silence to see what would happen. He expected her to freak out, cower in bed or just be silent and ask him to leave. The silence seemed to last for a moment before she finally spoke, and what came out of her mouth almost made Ian's jaw drop. She didn't seem worried at all, in fact, she just seemed to make a comment about Cain's name. The more Ian thought of it though, the more he could see how the name could be slaughtered with jokes as she said. He chuckled and laughed at her comment when he thought of this.
"Yeah, I guess a name like that doesn't sound so fearsome when you think of it," his smile faltered a bit, "He really is bad news though, we had to join forces with the brotherhood, our enemies, to find a way to beat him."

"Or maybe everyone just gives him a badder rep then he really has." Where was Rose going with this? "There's always someone stronger. You just need to find the person that's stronger then him. It doesn't have to be someone stronger class wise, I just mean, find someone Cain's power doesn't affect." She made it sound so simple, even if it wasn't. But, it was true. There was someone out there that Cain would be no match against.
"They must not have been huge enemies if you're willing to ally with them." That certainly was true. The X-men and Brotherhood weren't 'exactly' enemies. They had their disputes, they went after each other, but they weren't on a 'kill on sight' basis. If they were, Neither group would have considered joining the other.

"You know...you have a point there. If there's someone Cain's power couldn't affect, we could use that to finally bring him down and possibly find a weakness."
Ian smiled wide as he looked to Rose. Her having amnesia gave some benefits actually, she wasn't afraid of someone she didn't know, and that helped her think more rationally about things. He sat back, thinking for a moment I wonder what kind of mutant would be able to do that. I gotta tell Xavier about this, maybe he'll know, but he was brought back when she started talking about the brotherhood, noticed another valid point she made.
"Yeah, you're right about that, we're not really the kind of enemies that kill each other when we see each other, though some have died between the two factions." he sat back further in the chair, relaxing as he spoke, "They're more of the kind of group that believe mutants are better than humans and try to make themselves pretty much the humans rulers. We're basically the guys that stop them when ever they try somethin."

A look of 'Are you seriously that stupid?' crossed Rose's face as she looked at Ian. He'd never considered that? Seriously? No wonder no one had stopped him yet! Did it really take a teenager like her to figure out someone as simple as that?
Rose just shrugged the look away, someone probably had already thought of that, and just hadn't told Ian. Probably why he hadn't thought of it before. So he'd planned on just using brute force to try and take down Cain? Yeah, like that would work if all attempts so far had failed. Suddenly, she realized something. She had no idea what the guy was capable of. "What's his power?" The more you knew about your enemy, the better off you were in the long run.
"Not enemies, but not friends." Rose announced. That was their relationship. Depending on the circomstances, their 'feelings' towards the other group would change. In times of peace, they were enemies of sorts, one group trying to start a war, the other stopping that war. But when they had a common enemy in a true war that neither supported? They'd side with each other to get rid of their common thorn in the side. Then go right back to attacking each other. Didn't make much sense, but hey, Rose didn't understand grownups that well.

"Hey give me a break here, it's not like I fight guys like him all the time."
Ian noticed the look, a bit hurt by it. He kinda wished a little of the old Rose showed then, because she wouldn't give him that kind of look at least not serious. When she asked about Cain's powers, he had to think on it. He remembered David saying that Cain turned to stone, and he's seen Cain turn to metal.
"I think it may have to do with the elements. Whatever he touches, his body becomes the same material. Like, for example, if he touched metal, he can change his body to metal, or the same as if he touched stone." he then nodded at her comment towards the brotherhood, "Yeah, guess you can say was just tolerate each other."

"You make it sound like you do..." Ian really did. The way he had no real reaction to telling these things, it made it sound like this was everyday life for him. It sounded like it'd been everyday life for her before...
Why had she been so close to this guy? She still couldn't figure it out yet. Sure, he was nice, but he was a little annoying. Wait, they didn't know exactly what Cain could do? Why was that? "Well, isn't it making a mess of things? Shouldn't it be pretty obvious by now?"
Rose didn't bother with a response. Right now, the war didn't concern her. Maybe in the future, when she started to remember things. But right now, she didn't know these people, she wouldn't fight their war until she finally understood them, chosen to fight with them herself.
