She smirked at this and snatched her skirt away from him.
"Then you won't mind me taking this back."
He made his way towards her old house and she froze in her steps, swallowing back a large lump in her throat.
"Any ghosts we might meet in that house I've known before their demise. I know every corner, ever crack in the wall, ever leaky pipe. I know the beds, I know the furnature, I know the shorts in the wires. If you want to explore the Noam residency then be my guest, but I'll not yet set foot inside my house."
She tucked a long lock of her raven black hair behind her ear before speaking once more. "Will's house is at the end of the street. Just knock and say I invited you. Lorena should let you in."
Lorena was Will's mother. In all honesty were it not for her, Will would be a loose cannon ready to distroy anything. He had the temper of a two year old and he wasn't afraid to show it. Sookie and his mother were the only ones that were able to calm him down. She had a feeling with both her and Lorena there Remy would be more than welcome.

"I thought you said it didn't matter with your collection."
He smiled at her when she ed her skirt back, but when he was about to pull the door open, he heard her words about the house. Instantly that uncomfortable feeling came up on him, causing him to release the door. He then turned and headed down the steps and steadily walked up to her, pulling her to him and kissing her lips softly. He remembered the story he heard in the sewers, not wanting to step inside a house where was. It just wasn't like him at all.
"No worries, cher, I don't feel like exploring houses today anyway." he smirked when she mentioned Will's house, "You sure I won't wake up hanging by my arms or somethin?"
He tried to be humorous even in front of the abandoned house, knowing she needed to get her mind off of the past. He always did the same thing, staring at pictures of his home town, knowing he couldn't go back unless he wanted to start some trouble. He was happy right now though, wrapping his arms around Sookie and holding her close to him.

Sookie had to roll her eyes.
"Just because I go through clothes about as fast as I go through oxygen that doesn't mean that I don't like saving myself a little money and the world a little fabric and little sweat shop children a little trouble every once in a while."
He had kissed her...again. Now, she had to admit at least to herself, it was beginning to scare her. "Why do you keep doing that?" were they mindless lustful kisses then she probably wouldn't have minded so much but it seemed like, perhaps they had some...meaning in them. Feeling. Attachment. Perhaps even affection. This is what scared her.
She had to shake her head at this comment, a slight smile teasing the corners of her mouth.
"Will may be stupid and territorial, but he's not that stupid. He's fully aware of the fact that his mother would kill him or do something even worse if he pestered a guest in her house. He was teasing me the other day and she slapped him across the face. It was actually quite funny. If he did anything to you, she'd do it to him but thirty times worse and he knows this."

"Just commenting on what I see, cher."
He smiled after kissing her, seeing the look on her face. He didn't know why kissing her bothered her so much, but when she asked him why he kept doing it he couldn't help but smile. He was really beginning to like her, but he wasn't sure if she was feeling the same.
"You just seem irresistible, that's all."
He gave her one more kiss for good measure, then placed a few gentle ones against her neck. He then released her and looked her over, seeing a small redness on her cheeks, obviously from the attention he was giving her. When she talked about Will and his mom, he couldn't help but give a small laugh.
"Still, I should be careful as a guests. Maybe I can introduce him to a game of cards and see how he fairs at the table."
He took out a card as she spoke, causing it to spin on it's edge as it rested on the tip of his finger. He loved to use the energy of his powers to do minor tricks with his cards. It had a habit of impressing and even irritating a few people.

"One less broken hand for kids in sweat shops."
She stuck her tongue out at him playfully before waving her skirt around like a flag.
"Why would you do that?"
She questioned as he started kissing her neck. Why in the name of God had he chosen her neck of all places? She bit her bottom lip to keep back a pleasured gasp. One of the places you could go to get her going was her neck. It took a great deal of restraint to keep herself from planting her lips upon his once more, but she did it, swallowing hard. Sookie felt strongly for Remy, but part of her didn't want to. She knew that people had a way of disappearing and dying and she didn't need anymore wounds, but maybe she needed something to heal. Maybe Remy was that something. She didn't know.
"Will? Play cards?" she doubled over and burst out laughing. "Oh love, Will is by far the worst person you can try to get to gamble. He turned his life around a few years ago and now he's commited to god and music and according to him gambling is a sin."

"I suppose you're right, cher."
He smiled and touched her tongue gently as she stuck it out at him, giving her a playful wink. He could tell he was getting to her as she tightened up while he kissed her neck. He smiled at his torment, and as he stood back a bit after his comment towards Will, he smiled.
"Then I guess I am a sinner twice over. Once for ," he moved back to kissing her neck, speaking softly in her ear "and twice for ."
It was getting really cold out, but he couldn't help but work on heating up Sookie's . He moved in closer, kissing her neck lightly and letting his fingers drag down her back. He knew that if he kept pushing, sooner or later Sookie would break and fall for him. He wanted her bad, and he could tell by her teasing she either wanted him to, or was just playing with him. Either way, one must never play games with someone who's been playing games like this for years. After a while he moved to her lips and kissed her once more, hoping she'd kiss him back this time.

She was about to inform him that everyone sinned even if they didn't want to. Then he started tormenting her again. 'Serves me right, I guess. Why does karma always have to be such a bitch?' she thought to herself. Her body became so tense she could hardly even breath. She shut her eyes and pursed her lips together and clamped her hands into fists and she tried to keep her head straight. She liked him, she really did, but what if he was just looking for a piece of ass? A lot of guys were.
She managed to keep herself under control until he kissed her again. 'What the hell?' she thought to herself before shoving him forward into a tree and kissing him back feicely. She pulled away sharply to glare at him. "If you do that ever again I will rip off your head." Before he had a chance to reply, her tongue was tracing a vein in his neck up to his ear, which she bit lightly before pulling at it. She pulled away again and began walking down the road again, biting on her bottom lip, wondering what exactly she had gotten herself into.

He was enjoying himself as he teased and tormented her. He was taken by surprise when she slammed him against a nearby tree, teasing him with her tongued and biting his neck. He smiled when she threatened him, then turned to walk away. He looked at her with a look of surprise, but the look soon turned to a wicked smile. He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her from the side, grabbing and pulling her hair to the side to expose her neck.
"You might want to start ripping my head off then."
He then bit her neck and kissed along it up to her ear and down to her shoulder. He really did like her, and right now he needed her. All the tormenting and teasing she did to him in the sewers and just now was definitely going to be payback. He slid a hand up under her shirt to touch every inch of exposed skin on her.
"What's say you and I find a shady spot to get acquainted before we go visit your buddy Will's place eh? I'd like to get to this wild woman I've been needing since we met."

The kisses were one thing, but Sookie was...strange. Whenever he bit her she seemed to pop back into her senses, only to be pulled out of them again by a kiss. It was a strange feeling and she wasn't sure if she liked being put from hot to cold so rapidly.
"Don't push your luck." she grumbled with another bite, almost wincing with this one.
She froze again. This time, in fear. She scrambled out of his arms and turned to look at him. She knew he was serious. She could hear his blood pumping. She could even smell his hormones acting up. She shook her head slowly and took at step back. Sex complicated everything. And if he was advancing this quickly then that must have been all he wanted. WAsn't that the way it worked?
Down the road, something caught her attention and her head shot from one direction to the other, glancing back at him then back down the road again. Then, her eyes went wide. "Oh shit." she whispered to herself, jumping into the cover of the trees and dragging Remy with her, pushing him into the ground to keep him hidden.

"Look I didn't mean nothin by it, cher, I like you. I really do."
He tried to be nice to her and calm her fear, but he knew he came on too fast and pushed her away. He sighed inwardly, knowing he had lost his chance at trying out for actual romance. He was about to just walk out of the situation all together when he saw her acting strange. Well...stranger then usual.
"What's wrong?"
He looked down in the direction she was looking but didn't see anything. He gave a small woah when she grabbed him and pulled him into hiding with her. He didn't know what was going on or why she was acting strange, but he was beginning to think coming here was a bad idea. He was close to deciding that staying here would just be a one time thing.
"I'm beginning to think this runnin around is only fit for one person." he said, looking to her, "Wish you'd make up your mind on whether or not you'd like a chance at another, but I guess I'm just not really open to beleivin yet. Why we hidin?"

Sookie didn't answer any of his quesions, even though she wanted to. She wished that he would shut up for a second. He was making her even more nervous than she already was. She crouched down next to him, listening and waiting, holding one of his hands in hers, her knuckles white and her entire body shaking.
A loud noise pierced the silent night and it caused Sookie to jump and bury her face in Remy's neck. A shot fired again and she found the courage to whisper to him.
"Don't take it personally. I'm scared. I walk and talk tough, but I'm really a big scared freak of nature. And we're hiding from my brother. He's here...somehow."
Down the road she heard him bellow her name as he fired another shot into the air. She jumped and buried herself further into him.
"I'd be willing to give it a shot...if I don't get one first."
It was obvious that she was afraid of her brother. How had he even gotten out of prison? She didn't know or care, she just wished that it wasn't happening.
"I'm sorry."

He had almost pulled away from her, had he not seen her knuckles so white, her skin shaking from more then just the cold. A loud noise caused him to look in the direction it came from, but when she shot was fired, Sookie was clinging to him like a scared child. He placed his arms around her and held her.
"You're brother...the one who...?"
His eyes widened as he heard her name called, followed by another shot. Who ever this guy was, he wanted her, and he wasn't going to leave until he had her or alive. Well...not exactly alive. He narrowed his eyes at this, knowing that one thing he d more then someone messing with him or his home, was someone messing with a lady. He peaked up over the bushes, seeing her brother a little farther down the road.
"Stay here, cher, and don't come out until I say."
He knew the distance was far enough to where her brother would only see him as a drifter or newest member of town. He managed to settle her down and get her to stay down as he stood up, placing his hat on his head and his cane onto the ground. He stepped out and began walking down the street in the general direction of her brother, one hand in his pocket. The pocket where the cards rested.

"I've only ever had one brother."
She whispered shakily into his neck, clinging onto him tightly, each foot step Merrick took making her wince as if he were walking along her spine wearing shoes of needles. Through her head, she tried to change her course of thought, but all she could think was 'He's going to kill me, and I'm going to die, just like he wanted me to." She shut her eyes and tried to block it out, but another gunshot pulled her back into reality and she buried her face deeper into Remy.
He moved to leave and she clung to his coat. Sookie didn't want him to leave. She had never wanted him to leave. She planted a soft and gentle kiss upon his lips, figuring that she was probably going to die anyway so she might as well have. She looked down and blushed, embarassed by the words she was about to say. "Please don't kill him." another shot made her wince before she continued. "He's insane and wants to kill me...but he's still my brother."
Merrick was a man on a mission. He wanted his sister's head and he would have it. Once he got closer to Remy, he began to speak to him. "Hey, you! Do you know where the girl is who was singing in the band in the barn tonight?" he held up his gun and aimed it at Remy's head. "You better not lie to me." Sookie had a feeling that Remy wasn't in much trouble at that range. Merrick had the aim of a dead ape. She shifted into a feild mouse and moved forward under a bush to observe the scene.

He was about to step out of the bush and continue one until he was pulled back once more. About to object, he found himself in a gentle kiss, causing his eyes to close. When the kiss broke, he opened his eyes to see her embarrassed face, asking him not to kill her brother. He smiled and brought her lips to his once more.
"Don't worry, cher, I'm a fighter, not a killer."
He smirked as he continued down the road towards the man. His cane tapping lightly on the ground until he heard the clicking of a gun. He stopped and looked up at the man with the gun aimed at him.
"Do I know of the ? Sure do, sir, even know where you can find her."
Was he going to rat her out? Of course not. He tucked his cane under his arm and reached into his pocket, pulling out a deck of cards and shuffling them from one hand to the other. Blowing wind, steady breathing, and the shuffling of cards was all that was heard. A glance at a nearby window and Remy noticed Will and his group staring out but trying to look inconspicuous. Remy focused his attention on Sookie's brother.
"I'm not much for guns though, so I'll tell ya what. You play ? If you win, I'll tell you where she is. If you lose, you live this town and never come back botherin these folks."

Sookie was about to lose it when he said that he knew where she was, but she calmed down quickly when Remy challanged her brother to a game of cards. What was he doing? Her insane brother was pointing a gun at him and Remy was recomending poker!
To her surprise, Merrick laughed at this. He had been the one who had taught her how to gamble and he had a knack for it. She observed the scene, knowing that she could have easily snuck away and faded into the night, but she was too worried about Remy to leave. Her brother may have had the worst aim on the planet-he couldn't even hit a target from ten feet-but that didn't mean that he wouldn't inch closer and put a bullet into Remy.
"You wanna play the hero? Run in on your white horse and swoop my little sister off her feet and ride into the sunset? Where is she? Is she in the house? The woods? Tell me where she is and I won't put a bullet in you like I will to her! She's evil! A demon of satan!"
She had to roll her eyes and sigh at this. Again with the demon thing?
