"It's not stalking, cher, just pursuing a great interest."
He smiled at her, giving another small wink. He then watched as her friend gave her a hug and announced her leave, then told the gentleman she'd be walking home. The man gave him a threatening stare, which Remy returned with a half smile, and his eyes glowing red for only a moment before returning to normal. He then looked to her when they were finally alone, his smile still on his face as he looked to her.
"Cards have different meanings, just gotta know what to make of them. Like the queen, she can mean just your ordinary card or" he closed the distance between them, pulling her body against his, "something more personal."
He wrapped his arms around her then, not giving her a second to react. He then took off his had and closed the distance between them, pressing his lips against hers. He held her tight against him and deepened the kiss, giving a small payback for the teasing she had given him in the sewers back in America. He slid his hands down and grabbed her rump tightly before breaking the kiss and looking back at her.
"See what I mean?"

She crossed her arms and arched a brow at him. She seemed to do that a lot.
"Honey, all you did put stalking into a fancy new phrase. And you made it seem a bit more subtle. If it's really only a...persuit of great interest then you're stalking me. You're just acting nice about it. Now that I'm onto you you might want to be more careful."
She had to wonder, what was it about him and cards? She listened to his explanation, but before she could retort, their bodies-and lips- were pressed against each other. Her first reaction was to run away.In her experience, being close to people only led to being hurt by them, but in the end her hormones took over. It had been well over a year since she had been shown any physical affection aside from a hug or a kiss on the cheek.
With the kiss broken, she stared up at him, dumbstruck for a moment. She had to think back to the question of what it was he could have meant and she shook her head, still a bit dazed.
"N-no. Not exactly."
It was then that a familiar aroma filled her nose.
"Eggnog."
She stated bluntly and suddenly before a terrified expression crossed her face.
"Eggnog. Oh no! I forgot about the eggnog! Will's mom will hate me! I have to go."
She turned to leave, but stopped and glanced back at him.
"Do you want to come? There isn't an inn for miles and we're getting drunk."

He smiled at her term for his comment about persuing an interest. He could tell she was enjoying the kiss after a while, feeling her kissing him back. When the kiss broke, he looked in her eyes as she spoke nervously. He smiled a bit, but his smile turned to confusion when she said eggnog.
"Excuse me?"
When she mentioned about forgetting eggnog and Will's mom not being happy, he continued to stare at her in confusion. He was shocked when she suddenly said she had to go, but when she turned and invited him, he couldn't help the smile returning. She was inviting him to a place where she was staying and that her and her friends was getting drunk. He couldn't help a small laugh that came from that.
"Though I'm not one for alcohol, I can't deny an invitation to rest my head in a more comfortable area."
Granted he usually won a place to stay by either winning over an unsuspecing maiden or winning at a game of poker. Being a theif had it's advantages to, so when neither one worked, he would always just pick a lock and get himself a bed until the sun rose.

Sookie planted her hands on her hips when he said he wasn't really an alcohol fan. It was practically the law in this town to get drunk off eggnog a few days before Christmas, if not on Christmas. It was hard to believe how close the holiday was, even though the house she'd been staying in for the past three weeks had its halls throughly decked with bows of holly. Not literally, but Will's family did tend to go a little overboard with the decorating.
"Well if that's the case then I'll have to make sure you don't take advantage of me. However, if you do your share of drinking, that simply wouldn't be the case."
She winked at him playfully before jumping from the makeshift stage and onto the dusty ground, heading for the door. "If we don't go now we'll be late. I'm not waiting."
"However...about the head resting. I don't think Will's gonna want that and his mom would probably give you her car to cuddle up in." She paused, fighting with the words before they emerged from her mouth. "My house is empty. You could stay there if you like."

"I'm sure I can handle myself, of course I'd have no arguments if you were to be the one taking the advantage."
He smiled a bit when she winked at him, turning and following her from the stage to the door. When she stopped and turned to him, telling him that staying at Wills house would be a bad idea, but her house was empty. He didn't know her well enough, but he could tell something was wrong with her house, something she didn't like and didn't want to remember.
"I'm sorry, cher, I couldn't take such a generous offer to stay at your house."
He didn't want to tell her that he had put two and two together, though whether he was right he wasn't sure. He remembered the conversation in the sewers, telling him that her brother had went psycho and killed her entire family, though he wasn't sure of the cause. Something told him it had to do with her being a mutant, but to go so far as to kill a family that accepted it? He couldn't bring himself to even step onto the stairs of the place.

She couldn't help but to smirk at this. It was quite possible he had jumped to the same conclusion everyone else came to. The conclusion that due to her petite size she was a light weight. She was anything but. She could out-drink almost anyone she came across. However, Remy didn't need to know that.
She arched a brow at him.
"Alright. It's all maintained and everything, but if you don't want to I understand."
Once she was out in the cold winter air, she inhaled deeply, pulling the icy air into her lungs before pushing it out again. She looked back at Remy then to the empty road ahead of her. Her mucles became taut and the bit down hard on her lip. She wanted to run. Not to flee, but to run. Walking was so alien to her. Running was sort of another way for her to remind herself that she was alive. Sometimes she'd run for miles just for the sake of running or until she couldn't any longer and had to find a random spot to coil up and sleep. Were she alone, she would have, but she held herself back.

He followed her out, not really wanting to ask her officially about the house. He was curious, just to see if he was right or wrong, but he knew the story itself was a personal matter, and to bring the possible place up? Well that was just crossing the line in Remy's book. As they stood outside, he could see her tense up and biting her lip. She had that want in her eyes that Remy knew about, the kind that just made you want to take off and not stop.
"Nice weather eh?"
He smiled as he looked to her, wondering if he should just challenge her to a race or just start running. He looked back to the road in front of them, figuring that he could play with her just as much as she played with him. So without warning, he took off down the road in no particular direction, looking back at her as he left her standing at the barn.
"First one to the edge of town and back wins."
He laughed as he looked back ahead, hoping she would get the hint and start running herself. He had to admit with the way she can shift her form into different animals, and her animal senses helping with her surroundings, he wondered if she had any other animalistic capabilities. Only one way to find out right?

At the mention of the weather, Sookie looked up. The sky was clear enough and there was still some snow on the ground, but as a whole, for a winter night the weather was actually quite warm. Still, the air that came out of her mouth and nose came in the form of a thin fog.
"Under the circumstances, it actually is nice weather. Hard to believe, I know, but it's true."
Before she was even done with her sentance, Remy had taken off. She rose a brow at him and cocked her head to the side. Was he running or jogging? According to her, most everyone was still slow, yet it often occured to her that maybe she was too fast. Then came the challange. She smirked at him and dug her toes into the frosty earth, still allowing him some time to creep ahead of her.
"I hope you're not opposed to buying a girl a drink."
And then she was off. If she shifted she probably could have gained on him even faster, but she didn't need to be anything but herself to be agile and swift. Her pace was almost noisless, but soon she found her way behind him. Rather than passing him like anyone else, she leaped onto his back, pulling him down to the ground before scrambling over him, back on her feet in a matter of seconds, her feet moving faster than they had right to. She glanced over her shoulder and laughed, almost running into a tree, but she evaded it just in time.

He smiled as he continued to run, seeing the look on her face before heading down the road. Before he knew it though, she was on top of him, literally, sending him face first into the snow. He got up and kept running, glaring at her as she laughed at him.
"No fair, that's cheatin."
He continued to run as fast as he could and was able to keep up with her at his speed. He smiled at her, seeing a snow bank up ahead. He looked to her again and gave her a playful shove, causing her to fall into the mountain of snow. He looked back and laughed at the sight, seeing her covered in snow both funny and a little cute.
When she said it was a small town, she wasn't kidding. He at least expected the edge of town to be a few more feet down the road, or at least a block, but it was soon coming up ahead. He wondered how many people actually lived in this town, or how big exactly it was. Was there only one street going through the whole place or was he just in a small section of town?

She only laughed in return.
"No one ever said anything about this being a fair race!"
She bellowed back before he sent her into a snow bank. Before, she had only been joking. But now, he had started a war. It had only been fair that she set him back. After all, he had a head start on her.
"If that's the way you want it, then let the games begin."
She sunk into the snow bank and then sprung forth, gaining on him faster than he could think. Her new form was much lower than her own so she lowered her had and knocked his legs out from under him at a rapid pace. He had decided to play dirty so she was merely returning the favor. Her shirt still clung awkwardly to her body, but her pants and shoes were long gone. She was thankful that her shirt could double as a very very short dress if she needed it to be, but Remy had just as good as lost this race. Once she was at the end of the road she slid to a stop and turned to see him, but before he could get back up, she was running back to finish his challange and reach Ralph Greene's barn again. She jumped over him and in about ten seconds, she was back to where they had started, seated gracefully, her now long tail now sweeping around her feet. After all, it was physically impossible for him to outrun a cheetah.

He smiled and laughed when he headed down the road. He was almost there when he heard the padding of feet behind him. He didn't know what animal she turned into, but before he knew it he was on the ground again, sitting up just in time to see a long, thin cat jumping over him. He looked back towards the barn as the cheetah sat down and stared at him, wearing Sookie's shirt.
"Alright, cher, we can play that way."
He smiled and got up, brushing the snow off of him and picking up his cane and some playing cards that fell out of his pocket into the snow. He walked back towards the barn, stopping only to dig the rest of her clothes out from the pile of snow. He walked back to her but stood far enough to where he would be out of her reach. He held up her skirt, and undergarments, smiling as he did. He may have lost the race, but at that moment he had acquired himself a consolation prize.
"Now what can I do with this pleasant looking pieces of clothing?"
He smiled and placed them behind his back, planning on giving them to her, but knowing that if she wanted them, she would have to pay a small price.

She arched a brow at him as he searched for her clothes, pulling them out of the snow with a victorious grin upon his face. Did he really think clothes meant that much to her? She went through clothes faster than she went through oxygen. It was obvious that he was rather proud of himself, clearly thinking he had won at his own little game.
She yawned and arched her back in a stretch before making her way down the road at a listless pace, her new long tail swinging back and forth with each step. Then she leapt into the trees and began sniffing around until she found one of her many hiding places. She extended a long paw under the dying roots of a tree and dragged out a plastic bag with shoes, a skirt, and a shirt built in. She was surprised it was still there, for she hadn't put down more clothes. SHe had shifted and changed into her new outfit before Remy could make his way around her. Sookie had a feeling he'd be surprised to see her fully dressed after a shift.
"This is my home turf, love. I'm not as stupid as I seem sometimes."

He thought he had her, even as she trotted off, though he tried not to find any humor in a cheetah walking around in a tank top. He followed her towards the tree, coming around to see her not only in human form but fully dressed, the plastic bag by her feet. He shrugged at her words and tossed the remaining clothes in his hands onto the top of the bag.
"Never said nothin of it."
He smiled at her and looked around. All the houses looked the same, lights on and shadows of people walking around. He guessed at this hour they were having dinner, but a soft glow from some windows indicated that others were sitting by the fireplace. One house in particular caught his eye, not from the looks itself, but from how out of place it seemed with the others.
It looked old, it's age showing on the ceiling and parts of the chipped paint on the sides. Cobwebs hung in different corners of the front of the house, some broken by fierce winds where spiders were doing their best to fix. Snow piled up on the porch and steps almost to the point where they were barely visible. The lights were off, and even if they were they'd be barely seen through the dirt covered windows. As Remy looked, a chill went down his spine, not from the cold, but from the uncomfortable feeling that came from that place.

She laughed playfully. He obviously thought that he had won at least a little bit, but hadn't.
"Oh don't worry, love. I lose my clothes almost every day. You can't even imagine how many tickets I've gotten for public nudity. It's actually quite comical. You can keep my skirt if it'll turn that little pathetic frown of yours upside down. Maybe it'll cheer you up to know that...I'm not wearing any underwear. Or a bra. I never did understand why that's appealing though. A woman says 'I'm not wearing underwear' and the man thinks 'oh yeah, she wants it', but a man says the exact same thing and the first thing I think is 'so he can't do laundry?' I don't know. Genders are more like species at times."
Sookie followed his eyes to the only house that wasn't illuminated either by light bulb or fire. That house had been the Noam residency. People had recommended she burn the place after gutting it out, but she refused. She had far too many good memories in that house to turn it to ashes. She was just still having troubles getting rid of the bad ones.
"Le casa de le Noam. It's like the taboo of the town. I've even heard some people say it's haunted."
She had a feeling he would be confused, for she had never shared her last name with him. She couldn't help but to laugh slightly at the idea of her old house being haunted. As long as it kept the little ones out, she didn't care much.

"Thanks, cher, but I've never been one to have a collection."
He smiled a bit when she talked about how it seemed that men and women think different things when the same comment was spoken. He had to admit he really found her attractive and seeing that she had no undergarments on left him wide open for an imagination. He looked back to the house as she spoke about it being haunted. He was always one for adventure, and to hear that it was possibly haunted caused his curiosity to overrule the uncomfortable feeling.
"Well, one way to find out I guess, eh?"
He walked up to the house, shuffling through the large mass snow that lead down to the main road. He stepped onto the steps, his hand lightly touching the railing as he did. The stairs creaked and groaned under his weight on the stairs, as did the porch when he finally reached it. He walked up to the door and placed his hand on the doorknob. He then looked back at Sookie after kicking some of the snow out of the way that lead inside.
"Well, care to venture inside the haunted house with me? Or am I alone in this little adventure?"
