((well )) Ian was distracting Cain so much that the crazed mutant didn't see his captive escaping through the door. Ian did however, and when he was sure she was outside, he smiled and looked to Cain. "Well 'Candy Cain', my job here is done, so I guess it's time for me to go." "What are you talking about boy? You're going to die here." "Not likely, I have a dinner engagement that I don't want to miss. But just to make sure I've slowed you down..." Ian kept dodging Cain's metallic assault, only this time he made sure that the strikes landed on consoles and switches, causing things to overload, shut down, and even explode. He then stood by the doorway and looked to Cain, who was now standing in a destroyed sentinel lab, and not too happy. "Well, been fun hangin with ya, but I gotta run. See ya 'CC'." With a small laugh, he sped across the yard to the he rescued, picking her up in his arms and giving her a small smile. "You might want to hold on, this is gonna be rough." With that, he sped through the forest to where he would soon find Beast, who was just getting up from the blast from the sentinel. "You...you're alive? Is that her? What happened to Cain?" Beast asked, a little dazed. One thing he had to thank the X-Men for, the suits were almost hard to blast through. The Sentinel blast only singed through his uniform and left a burn mark on his skin. Ian just smiled. "Yes I'm alive, and I'm glad you are to by the way. Yes this is the , and Cain..." He was about to answer when a very angry and enraged yell echoed over the forest, "He's...preoccupied."

((Heh. You can't expect a kid to be able to hold her own against an adult. XP))
Meav just about screeched when Ian picked her up from behind, her flinch so violent it was obvious she thought it was Cain coming after her. Only when she knew it was whoever it was that had rescued her did her nerves seem to calm, though only a little. Who would have calm nerves after what she'd just been through? She just nodded, clasping her arms tightly around his neck as she was told. She squinted her eyes shut, not wanting to see the world go flying past them as he ran, his speed inhuman.
When he finally stopped, she let go, stumbling out of his arms and rubbing her eyes. The sunlight still hurt her eyes, but they were adjusting... Slowly. Finally she opened them, and just about yelped when she spotted the giant blue furry man. What was going on...? "Who... Who are you people...?"
Is that her? Suddenly she was extremely nervous and wary. What did that mean...? "What do you people want...?" She flinched when she heard the angry yell from the factory, her hands almost instinctively moving to cover her ears.

Hank couldn't help but feel a little proud of Ian. The boy had not only tangled the sentinels, but faced Cain and rescued the in the process. A smile grew on his face as he realized he was definitely looking at a future X-Man. It was then he grew concerned about what was going on in Tokyo. When he saw the standing in front of him feeling more then a little frightened. He gave her a pleasant smile.
"My name is Hank McCoy. I'm a doctor, and it seems like you need one, child."
"He's alright, just a mutant like us." Ian added with his own smile, "We were sent here to rescue you and stop Cain from doing...whatever it was he was planning to do."
"What's your name, child, are you able to walk or fly?" Hank asked.
"I think flying would be the better option. I doubt Cain's gonna wait to get even after what I did." Ian said, Hank nodding.

Meav flinched a little when the one named Hank smiled at her, a part of her to expect something bad to happen. When nothing did, she relaxed a little. "Why though...? How could either of you have known...? No one knew I was there. Her thoughts wandered a little, trying to figure out how the two men knew she had been there, that she had been in trouble to begin with. Unless, Cain had planned all of this, and these were two of his ally's trying to get her to trust them...
She shook her head, trying to clear her head, just in time to catch the end of what Ian wa saying and then what Hank said. Lowering her gaze a little, she spoke. "Meav..." She paused, glancing over her shoulder at her wings. "I'm not sure... Him and the Sentinels bruised them... To much flying could completely destroy them." Not to mention flying would be extremely painful right now, but if they told her to fly, she would.

"We have ways at our school that allows us to find mutants who we beleive would be in danger." Ian answered.
Which was the half truth of course. Xavier and Cerybro are able to find mutants all over the world, but they only knew about Meav because Crystal told them. Hank and Ian looked worriedly each other when she said that the sentinels and Cain bruised her wings, and flying would be a problem.
"We have to get you out of here, Meav. Cain doesn't seem to be one who gives up easily."
"He's not...trust me on that one." Ian said, his smile fading. He had to fight the urge to go back to the factory and confront Cain.
"Now isn't the time for hostility Ian. I'm certain you will get your chance with Cain." Hank said, "But for now the three of us must join the others and get out of here."

School.... A school had rescued her? What in the world.... Suddenly she remembered something. Did they mean Xavier's school? "Xavier's...?" She'd only heard rumors of the place from Black Cat, so she knew very little about the place.
Meav flinched again when they mentioned Cain not giving up. "What does he want with me...?" Maybe they knew, seeing as they had risked coming to save her. Certainly it was terrifying knowing someone was after you, but it was ten times worse when you didn't know why. She paused when they mentioned other. Slowly she glanced up again, gazing startled and confused at them. "Others?"

"Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. Yep that's it."
Ian smiled proudly at that name. He was glad to be a part of that school, but his smile was replaced by confusion when she asked why Cain was after her. In all honesty, he didn't know. Crystal didn't really fill them in on that part.
"You can ask some people back at the school if you want, we're not sure honestly. We just came cuz you were in trouble and Cain was causing trouble."
"The others are fellow members of the X-Men." Hank assured her, "They're friends."

Meav's gaze dropped to the ground when she was told they didn't know. So they just came with out knowing anything. Suddenly she froze, reality crashing down on her. "What happened to Tokyo?!" She'd been captured right before the attack, locked up with out a single way of knowing what was going on other then the sounds.
She suddenly twitched, looking left and right, extremely nervous. "Lets... Go find them then... If he comes after us.." They were still close to the Factory. Close enough that if Cain came after them, he probably wouldn't have any trouble finding, or catching them.

"Ian, take her and find shelter near the docks. The jet's obviously out of commission so we'll need to find a place. Take this," Hank said, handing Ian a small object, "We'll page you when we've taken care of the sentinels."
Ian looked at the object, it was a small circular item with an X on it. At closer look, a red button caused it to flip open, revealing it to be a small radio. He looked to Hank and smiled, giving a nod. Hank nodded back, then jumped into the trees and continued on towards Tokyo. Ian looked to Meav and smiled. He picked her up into his arms and held her close so he wouldn't lose his grip on her.
"He'll be alright."
He then sped off through the woods and heading towards the docks near Tokyo. He could see the fiery glow over the woods, and couldn't help but worry about the others. He hoped that they were alright, and if he would see them again.

Meav remained silent as Hank spoke of hiding near the docks, some jet, and the Sentinels. Hearing the word 'Sentinel' sent goosebumps up and down her arms, Meav looking away from the two men. Only when Ian picked her up, again, did she reluctantly look at him. "I didn't say I was worried..."
Even though he was running at blinding speeds, she could make out a few things. Smoke climbing high above the city, fires raging on. She looked away again, closing her eyes tightly, unable to keep watching. Tokyo, her home had been destroyed...?!
((Oh, right. ^.^ Just so we are both on the same page, it's a complete miracle Faith is still alive. Like extremely bad burns, several breaks, concussion, yada yada yada. More or less, if anyone but an experienced doctor(namely, only Hank or Hazel) tried to save her, she'd die. ))

(got it Ian had made it to the docks within seconds, but after taking a look at Tokyo as they passed, and seeing the pain in Meav's eyes, it felt like almost a minute. When they arrived at the docks, Ian found a small crate that Meav could sit in and hide until the rest of the group was there. He then moved to one side of the crate, used a small marker he had in his pocket and crossed a red X on the side of it. He then walked over to Meav. "I need to go help the others. Will you be ok here by yourself?"

Meav didn't move when he hid her inside a crate, but curled up a little when he drew something on the side, her arms wrapping tightly around her knees. Slowly she nodded, still not opening her eyes in case she could see any of the destruction. "I'll be fine..." She paused for a moment. "Just go make sure they all make it back..." She couldn't bear the thought of any of them dying just to come save her.

Ian smiled at Maev's words and understood her concern. Within seconds he was gone and speeding off towards Tokyo. Meanwhile the sentinels were making a full assault on the city, causing buildings to fall, cars to fly through the air and people to run in terror. Logan was beaten and bloody, his wounds healing on their own as always, but were quickly being replaced by others. Hank was on the sidelines with Faith, doing his best to tend to her wounds the best he could with what he had, which wasn't much with the jet destroyed. Ian appeared in time to see Logan bring down one of them, landing next to the young mutant.
"What took you so long?" He asked.
"Traffic." Ian said with a smile.
Logan smiled and looked to Hank who gave a smile and nod. They knew that if Ian was here, Maev was safe, and that's all that mattered. Now they just needed to take down the sentinels and get Faith to a safe distance until the survivors were safe.

"Looks like you guys could use some help." April's voice came from somewhere behind Ian, but she was suddenly gone, her appearing by Logan this time. "You know, if you stay here much longer you're going to get killed." She eyed Logan. "Well, everyone but him." April paused. "You better be happy that Professor Xavier sent me after you four, otherwise you'd be good as dead." Suddenly she fell silent, having caught sight of Hank trying to help Faith... Who looked good as dead to her. "Is she dead...? What happened to her...?"

"If we leave now then these people will die."
Though he was glad to see that April came to help out, he couldn't understand why she would want them to leave when half the city is being destroyed. A sentinel was coming up about to fire at April, but Ian had used his speed to distract it. In fact the boy had taken the matter into his own hands, which Logan was totally against, and tried to draw all the sentinels away. is that kid crazy? Or just plain careless. That thought was taken away when he saw that the plan was working and the Sentinels were heading into the forest. He smiled, then looked back to April.
"Get Faith out of here. She crashed the jet into one of the sentinels after it was shot down. She's alive, but barely. Beast is trying to help her but he can't do much here."
