The sound of the snitch crying out in agony really brought Freya back to her senses, finally breaking through the surface. At first, her first order of 'business' was to try and figure out what had happened. She must have passed out... Because she couldn't remember anything after when she'd tried to kill the man that had set them up. Then, she started to register just exactly what she was hearing, even if her head was pounding. She knew that voice better then anything. It was Rory!
She'd never heard him use that tone though... It sounded like he was interrogating the man, getting the answers they couldn't from the two they'd killed. "...R...ory...?" Her whole body felt like lead, making hard to move or speak.
"Still coming.... to investigate... why... alarm went of..." He could barely breath, choking from Rory's iron like grip, in so much she couldn't even speak when the pick was being twisted in his shoulder, torturing him. Why couldn't the man just take the information and go?! Or have the decency to kill him?! "Ten minutes... before they get... here...." Rory and Freya were running out of time...

Rory seemed to be giving off a sinister vibe as he interrogated the snitch. Usually Rory was the type of person that seemed intimidating, but now, it was far beyond intimidation. As he sqeezed the man's throat tighter, he heard a soft French accent behind him... Freya! He immediately wanted to let the man go and rush to her aid, but what he said next nearly stopped his heart. They were coming anyways?! Rory should have known that.
Ripping the climbing pick out of the man's shoulder, he slammed it down and pierced it into the man's lower abdomen, but not all the way before pulling it out. "You are going to die now, slowly... But not before they get here..." Rory paused for a moment, "When they walk through that door, tell them that if anyone touch's Freya Elensar again... They will deal with me, and I won't be as nice as I was to you." It was almost amazing how dark, almost evil, Rory sounded.
He immediately jumped up and ran to Freya's side. "Freya..." Rory said softly, all hatred gone from his voice, "We have to get ye out of here, no time to explain." He didn't take the time to untie her yet, he wasn't sure if she could walk anyways, he simply scooped her up in his arms and raced for the door and out onto the mountain again.

Freya's senses were still dulled from the drug, unable to really make out exactly what was happening, but at least it wasn't hard to guess. Rory sounded angry... What had happened? She thought back to the last things she remembered, the snitch.... Great, she must have missed.... Because she couldn't remember if she'd hit him or not. She tried to move a little, realizing instantly that her hands and feet were bound. Now she could see why Rory was so angry...
After Rory had finished with the man, he was at her side. Sluggishly she tried to look up at him, so exhausted from over use of her power as well as from the drugs. "Sorry... I wasn't there...." She smiled weakly as he picked her up into his arms, cradling her softly as he started to run. The movement was disorienting, Freya unable to keep up with what was passing as he ran. She knew when they were outside though, the cold made it rather obvious. She instinctively tried to heat up both her and Rory, and realized even that was impossible, so... She heated only Rory, as much as she could. It wasn't much, but hopefully it'd help even a little.

"Don't apologize... And don't talk, save your energy, Freya." Rory said kindly as he slid down the side of the mountain. It was almost impressive how quickly he was moving down the steep mountainside, while carrying a person, yet able to remain gracefull upright. However, all his thoughts were on getting Freya to safety and right now, he had no idea where that would be. So for now, he kept running, holding Freya close to him, hoping the heat from his body would keep her warmer.
Then he realized he was actually warm, not comfortably so, but more so than he should be considering how much of his skin was exposed in the tattered clothing. He knew why immediately though, "Don't you dare warm me Freya, use it on yourself if you have to, otherwise just try to not use your powers." The deed of her trying to help him despite how weak she was, was kind, but unneeded. Rory didn't care about freezing right now and it didn't matter if he did.

If she weren't as tired as she was, Freya might have responded, but he was right... If only a little. Not to mention that at the pace he was moving it probably wasn't advisable to distract him. She was a little aware just just how fast that pace was, and still managed to stay standing. She would have thought he'd at least stumble a little... Until she remembered this was Rory, after all.
Her eyelids drooped, barely even able to keep her eyes more then a crack. Warming up Rory's body even as little as this was starting to prove near impossible. "You need it more... then me..." A few moments passed, and Rory would feel the cold starting to bite at him again, Freya no longer able to keep it up. Her eyes shut the rest of the way, completely exhausted, to a point where she couldn't even keep herself conscious anymore...

Rory was starting to breathe a bit harder now, with how long and how fast he had been moving. Thankfully the night was clear and he could see where he was going fairly easy. Finally, he and Freya seemed to get a short break as the storms hadn't come in tonight. "No I don't Freya..." He glanced down at her momentarily to see her eyes shutting. He needed to find a place for them now. He stopped for a moment on the side of the mountain to look around.
The slope was already starting to be a little less steep, though Rory had no idea where he was or how far down the mountain he had moved. Looking around he saw a small outcrop of rocks, with a small cliff with what looked like a waterfall of ice running down it. Rory moved closer and could see that the wall of ice covered up a small, cave-like, shelter inside. This was better than nothing, so Rory moved inside and set Freya down on the softest piece of ground; meaning the one with the least rocks. Then began to untie her.

They might not have the window or a blizzard battering them, but the night air wasn't that pleasurable either, after all, it only got colder when the sun went down. Now if Freya were conscious with enough energy to spare, neither of them would have had to worry about it, But seeing as both of their large coats had been shredded to pieces.... Well, it was something to worry about now.
Freya must have blacked out again, because she didn't remember anything after what he said. She came to as she felt the bounds on her hands and feet loosening. Her eyes slowly opened again, smiling weakly as he untied her. "What'd you do to my coat..?" She didn't know why she was trying to joke, maybe to make him feel better. She didn't like that worries expression he was wearing.

After a few moments Rory was finally able to just snap the bindings on her feet. As he moved to loosen the one on her hands he saw her stir a little bit and paused. He smiled softly when she spoke, leaning down and softly kissing her cheek, "I decided to go for a punk rocker look." He said quietly, glancing at his ripped coat before breaking the rope on her hands.
He knew Freya couldn't heat them up, so he thought back to his training. Pulling the shredded coat off of him, he rolled it up as tight as he could then tied it tighter with the ropes that had been binding Freya's hands and feet. He wasn't going to ask Freya to use her powers, not now. So digging in his pockets he found his flashlight, though it was crushed, he could still use it. Taking it apart and pulling out the wires and batteries he turned to Freya, "How are ya, sweetheart?" Rory asked softly.

Freya tried to laugh when he spoke, though was only able to bring herself to softly chuckle for half a second. "Punk rocker definitely doesn't fit you." She moved a little when she was finally free, though wasn't able to sit up quite yet.
Instead, she just watched Rory do... whatever it was he was doing. She didn't know what he was up to, maybe trying to start a fire? She would have offered to start it, if it weren't for the whole so exhausted she could barely move. "Tired. Way to tired.." She sighed a little, forcing her eyes to stay open. "What are you doing?"

Rory smiled softly, "Alright, no more punk rocker then." With the coat now off of him, he realized how cold it was with barely anything on underneath. His pants were in tatters and the blood soaked sweater was also ripped. Needless to say, it wasn't exactly warm for him. He never shivered though, or said a word, he didn't want Freya to worry about him right now.
"It's probably still the effects from the drugs, I'm sure it will wear off soon." Rory said, though he was just guessing. He had dealt with poisons before and drugs, but it had been a long time, and he was always on the giving end, not the recieving. "I'm trying to make..." Rory paused, pressing two of the wires from the flashlight battery together near some exposed cotton on the tightly wrapped coat. A few sparks shot from the wires and hit the cotton, then with a soft blow from Rory started a small flame.
"Fire. Yeah, I know, it's a it old school by yer standards." He said with a small laugh, moving the now burning coat toward Freya and sitting down beside her. With how tightly he had wrapped the coat, it should burn for at least an hour or two.

Drugs?
So she'd been drugged... No wonder it was so tiring to stay awake! Curse it all, she wanted to go right back to that human and get her own revenge for what he'd done! As it was though she couldn't move more then a few inches at a time, and it seemed like Rory had already done it for both of them.
She smiled a little when he got the fire going, his comment making her laugh a little. "Old school works when it's the only option..." Freya's eyes drooped a little, then she realized something. "We forgot our packs..." Now how would they ever get out of here alive with out their supplies?

Revenge, that was an understatement to what Rory had done to the man; barbaric brutality was probably a bit closer. Rory only wished that he could have done more, too bad the man had pushed the alarm, whether he knew it or not that spared him from a bit more pain. "Yeah, we were in a bit of rush when we left... Don't worry though, we'll figure something out." Rory knew he could get down the mountain without a pack, might die along the way, but it was no problem. Once again though, Freya was the one he was worried about.
Glancing at Freya, he noticed that she was still too weak to move too much and laying on solid rock was never comfortable. He moved closer to her, and moved her slightly so that she could lay across him, then let one of his arms fall over her torso. "You know... If I didn't love you so much, we wouldn't be in this situation." He said with a slight grin, he didn't say out loud that he loved her very often, but it came off his tongue so easy now.

Great, what were they going to do without the packs? It had the map, spare clothes which Rory would definitely need, sleeping bags, food, everything. The way it'd sounded though.. It almost seemed like it'd be difficult going back for them. "I think we'll need them..." She definitely wasn't telling him to go back for them. "After I feel better..." They could both go back for them, not to mention he'd probably freeze to the point of being unable to move, so she'd have to be back at a hundred percent to go with him.
She lazily looked up at him when he moved her a little, smiling softly. "I love you to." She forced her hand to move, reaching up to softly touch his cheek. She wanted to sit up and kisd him, but any contact would do for now.

Rory shook his head slightly, "The snitch, the guy who kidnapped you, hit an alarm... That's why I was carrying out of there so fast." He said with a sight, looking up at the wall of ice in front of him that served as their barrier to the wind and snow. "It'd be to dangerous to go back..." Rory would have suggested that he go back alone, but he knew that Freya wouldn't let him.
He leaned his head into her hand slightly, it was amazing how quickly she could change his mood, "And... I wouldn't want to be here with anyone else... Or be, with anyone else." He said softly again, after how angry he was at the snitch, he was beginning to realize how much he really did care about her. As if he knew what she wanted, he leaned over and very softly kissed her cheek, then her lips.

Freya just sighed. "I hate alarms..." So that explained why Rory hadn't even stopped to consider getting their bags. He didn't know how much time they would have. And no wonder he'd been running as fast as he could in this terrain.. It explained everything. "We might be in trouble then..." How would they get back to the base of the mountain? Not only that, but how would they let the X-men know to come get them?
She smiled a little when he leaned into her touch, after a few moments though her hand had dropped back to rest over his. "We are thinking the same again." In some ways, they did seem like they were perfect for each other. No one had been able to deal with either of them before they'd met. Their so similar, and at the same time complete opposite, personalities seemed to make them the perfect match. Even something as simple as a touch could convey volumes between them. Again, she smiled as he understood her thoughts so well, leaning down to kiss her once on the cheek before moving to her lips. She leaned into it the best she could, before slowly breaking it. "I'm glad we got to do this. Even if we are being trouble magnets."
