Freya wished she could have gone to help Rory, her anger towards him gone at last. She didn't have time to be mad at him after all. And the only thing stopping her from getting that stupid bone creature off her boyfriend was this cement monster.
The cement monster wasn't exactly fast, but his regaining the arm she'd zapped off.... It wasn't all that reassuring. At least she'd done some damage, that was always good, it at least meant she could still do something! But now.... Now it just looked mad.
Freya stumbled, just about thrown off her feet when the room started shaking. She was so focused on staying standing that she almost didn't notice the spikes shooting up. Eyes wide, lightning leaped from her fingertips just in time to destroy the one that easily would have killed her, the others racking at her arms and legs, leaving deep gashes. She just winced, unwilling to make any sound in reaction. Now why was she the one going up against the guy that wasn't even affected by her powers?
With a stumble, she sent more bolts of lightning, aiming for the body and head instead of limbs. Hopefully that would be enough...

Each of Rory's shots would blow more of the bone away from the creature, and knock it back a few steps. Finally instead of running at him, it stood up and ran behind a wall of computers. Rory quickly took the break to drop the clips out of his eagles and reload. Just as he slipped the last clip back in, something slammed into the pillar he was leaning on. He looked over and only an inch from his head was very long, bone spike. He jerked his head back toward the computers to see th creature growing more of them out of it's palms, preparing to throw them again.
Leaping to his feet, he took of running, bone spikes flying by his head and sticking into the ground around him. Once on the other side of the pillar, he leaned against to catch his breath, and slipped out one of the four black packages he had grabbed earlier; attaching it to the bottom corner of the side of the pillar he was leaning on. With Freya barely able to scratch the rock man, and the bone lady almost unkillable by conventional means, plan B was looking better and better. When he glanced around the pillar to see where the monster was, it was gone. He paused for a moment listening, then called out,"Freya! Darlin', are you alright?".
---------------------------------------
Frustrated again that the woman avoided death, the golem slowly stood back up and began running at Freya. She may be fast, but there was no way she could avoid a tackle from him, and tackles from him ended in death. As he ran, though, a bolt of lightning slammed into his torse, leaving a large hole in his chest but it didn't stop him.
Just as he was about to reach Freya a bolt exploded into his head. The creature fell to its knee's, the momentum of it's speed keeping it moving toward her. As it's torso hit the ground, the multitude of rocks that made up its body collapsed and spread out across the ground. In all appearances, the creature was dead.

Freya really could have gone with out Rory distracting her, because she did happen to have a large, giant cement monster charging towards her. Her first strike had barely even slowed him, and her second didn't seem to either until it finally crashed to the ground, as if shattering. She stumbled back a little, gasping. There was a reason she rarely resorted to lightning, it was a lot more exhausting then just using fire.
"Shouldn't you be more worried about yourself?" She was starting to wonder, was it really dead? Or was it faking again. She sighed a little, wincing as her arms and legs stung. "I hate this though! You can at least know that!" Freya started to work her way through the rock field, avoiding what spikes were still there. If it came back, she didn't want to be in the middle of it...

Rory was getting antsy now with now sign of the bone creature. Holstering his Eagles, he pulled out the sawed off shotgun that was strapped to his leg. He walked around to the other side of the pillar, pulled out another black package and placed it at the base of it. Flipping a switch, a green light came up on it. By now, all three of the sides of the massive pillar had black charges on them, the last one he was keeping for himself just in case. Suddenly he heard the slightest noise above him, looking up the creature was on the side of the pillar lunging for him with its' claws out.
He jerked his shotgun up and fired both barrels, the creature hit the ground limp. Calmly, Rory broke open the shotgun and slid two more shells in just as the creature was starting to get up again. A second time he fired both barrels, blowing the creature backward and out onto the side where Freya was. "Oh, me? I'm jus' fine, lass." He fired both barrels again after loading them and as the creature looked up. Calmly he loaded the gun again, glancing at Freya, "It's gonna be a real drag when I run out of bullets though." He said with a grin, firing the shotgun at the bone lady again without looking.

So far, it hadn't come back. Thank God. She was out of the stone field, stumbling out to try and help Rory in whatever way she could. He was setting those charges he'd been carrying now, which wasn't all that reassuring.
Freya waited where she was, until the bone creature was suddenly thrown back her way. She smiled a little. Time to help Rory it seemed! Waiting a moment for it's attention to be on Rory again, flames suddenly erupting from her palms to engulf the bone woman. If she just kept coming back every time Rory did something, then she'd just have to make sure there wasn't anything left to come back with.

When flames burst up around the creature it acted as if it didn't notice at first. However, Rory shot it again with a perfect head shot. The skull exploded and the creature collapsed, by the time it started getting back up it was thrashing around at the flames, apparently in a lot of pain and/or dying. Rory let out a sigh, thankful for Freya's help, he only had two more shells left. It was going to take a while to burn the creature to ash though, considering how quickly it could heal.
After loading them he walked over beside Freya, avoiding the flames. He gave her a soft kiss on the cheek before holstering his shotgun and folding his arms. "You still mad at me?" He asked hesitently, as they hadn't just been fighting a major war in this room. Rory knew it wasn't over yet, not by a longshot, his gut feeling told him so.

Freya's expression started to look strained, it wasn't burning fast enough! With a deep breath she started to make the fire hotter, to end it as quickly as possible. Unless she got the bone woman burned to ash, this would just keep on going until neither of them couldn't move. Already though Freya was nearing that line. After using her power to keep them warm the whole day, on top of getting in a battle like this, and then having used lightning far more then advisable... The odds were just continually stacking against her.
She tried not to react when he softly kissed her cheek, but her flames did die down a little before quickly picking back up. "No, I just can't stay mad at you..." Even her voice sounded strained. Finally... Her flames vanished, leaving nothing left but ash... She just hoped the woman wouldn't come back...

Rory kept his eyes on the creature as it burned. Though his arms appeared to be folded and he appeared to be relaxed, a closer look would reveal that he was ready to pull out a pistol with each hand as both hands were resting on his holsters. When Freya spoke, he turned his attention away from the burning creature, he could hear the fatigue in her voice. After a little over a month of dating Rory had finally found a weakness, over use of her powers. Yet, he no longer cared, what worried him was the strain in her voice.
"Hey, are ye alright?" Rory asked, concern heavy on his voice. Though, even though the woman was dead and Rocky was apparently gone, Rory had a gut instinct that this wasn't over; and it showed in his stance. He wasn't relaxed and neither did he reach out to hold Freya like he normally would have, it was obvious in his tone that he was still ready to fight.

Slowly Freya nodded, trying to catch her breath. "Fine..." She wasn't to the fainting point yet. If things got worse, she'd conserve her remaining energy for that. After all, it was only exhaustion getting to her. "What about you...?" Rory and the now passed bone woman had been exchanging a lot more blows then she and whatever the man had been. All she had to show about the exchange were gashes from where the spikes had gotten her.
Freya sighed, shaking her head as if to shake away her exhaustion. "Why doesn't this feel like it's over?" Not only was she getting some unnerving feelings, but Rory was still on guard, ready to strike at any moment if something happened.

When Freya asked how he was, it just occurred to him that his chest was stinging. He grabbed the bottom of his sweater and lifted it up to the top of his chest. Across his chest and abdomen were about a hundred red lines, most of them dripping with blood. The woman's claws were as sharp as surgical utensils, they must have sliced through his shirt without him even knowing. "Well..." He said as he lowered his shirt, "I just found out why I'm light headed, so not to bad."
If he had been bleeding as long as he thought, then he had lost quite a bit of blood without even knowing and considering how deep every one of those wounds were... He'd rather not think about it now, he was alive for now at least. Before he could answer Freya the entire room began to shake again, and before he could react the ground between the two of them exploded.
Rory was sent flying back, unable to see that the concrete creature was getting back up between them. The creature glanced at the ash pile on the ground and the rage it felt became apparent. It slammed it's hands into the ground, and ripped out a massive piece of the concrete floor. Large enough that if he dropped it, you were getting out from under it. Then turned toward Freya and began walking toward her before throwing it up slightly, intent on dropping it on her.

Freya looked at him in shock. Did he mean... No, she couldn't worry about that right now! He was still there, and things seemed to be getting worse. Rory was just as uneasy as she was, but why that was...
Well, they didn't have to wait long, beccause before he was even able to respond the ground split between them. Rory went flying, more then Freya had. Today just wasn't their day it seemed. Groaning, Freya rolled onto her hands and knees, then back onto her feet. What the hell had that been? Looking over to see what had happened to Rory, she froze when she saw the concrete monster... Back. What? But how?!
And he seemed intent on her.
She stumbled backwards as he moved towards her, her mind reeling. Did she dare use the lightning again? It didn't look like she had a choice though, because before she knew it the slab of concrete floor was near on top of her. She dove out of the way, rolling into one of the 'sort of' holes the concrete man had made earlier, barely avoiding complete crushing. The only problem? She couldn't get out... Unintentionally she was now at the mercy of the man, unable to do a single thing about it...

Rory shook his head slightly as he got up, he had practically landed right on it. A bit dazed, and seeing spots, he got back to his feet just in time to see Freya about to get crushed by a slab on concrete. Luckily she had moved out of the way, but suddenly disappeared into a hole or something... And wasn't getting out.
The monster was almost ecstatic at where his prey had gone. It was an easy kill now. No amount of Freya's powers could stop him. Even if she destroyed this rock body it would simply collapse on top of her. The creature took a step forward toward the hole and lifted it's foot up, it's intentions obvious.
Rory had to think quick... Very quick. Then it hit him, he pulled out the last charge he had been saving. But he couldn't detonate it with the remote or all of them would blow and kill everyone in the room. There was always another way though. Rory ran closer to the giant and whistled loudly, "Hey! Look what I have!" As the creature brought it's foot down at Freya, it turned to look at Rory and as soon as it did the black package that Rory threw stuck to it's face.
Immediately Rory pulled out his gun and fired. The explosion was deafening, it was obvious Rory had spared no expense with how much explosives he packed into the black package. The beast's entire upper torse was destroyed and it fell backwards, busting into pieces as it hit the floor. This was far from over though. Rory ran to the hole where Freya was, moving as fast as he could despite how light headed he was getting. "Oi! What are ye doing? Takin' a break?" He asked with a laugh, holding out a hand to pull her out.

Freya flinched as she saw the large cement foot come crashing down towards her.... waiting for the final blow.
It didn't come.
She dared to look up, realizing that Rory had somehow distracted the creature, and he was now a bunch of rubble... again. Freya winced as she started to struggle out of the hole, just as Rory laughed at her and offered to help her out. With a sigh, she accepted the offer, finishing pulling herself free of the wreckage. She felt bruised and battered, which she was, but not as bad as Rory. How he managed to keep going astonished her. Slowly she looked over to what was left of the creature. "He's going to come back." She paused. "Every time I shattered him like that, he just kept coming back...." If they didn't think of something fast, the monster would be back, and both of them would be dead for sure this time...

"I know, lass..." Rory said as he pulled Freya out. He knew before he even blew the creature up... And he already knew what he was going to do next. The hardest part was going to be talking Freya into it. He knew she wouldn't be up to it, but it had to be done. Both of them were spent and Freya looked as if she were about to pass out any second.
When he pulled her out finally he let out a sigh, "Remember plan B... Well, I'm about to start it." He said with a nod to the packages on the pillar at the center of the room. Now came the hard part, "When this thing comes back... He has to stay in this room... So someone has to stay behind and I think that's pretty obvious who." Rory said, laying the plan out there and letting her know he was fully intending on killing himself to save her.
The only problem is that while Rory can come back from the dead, coming back from the dead under a mountain can be hard. "Ye have to leave, run for the exit now, before he comes back." Rory said, trying to to look her in the eyes.

When he mentioned plan B, all the color drained from her face. What? He was going to blow the place?! The more he explained though, the paler she got. She knew he was planning on killing himself in the blast... She just about yelled at him, telling him he could do that.
Something stopped her though, the seriousness of his tone probably. Rory was doing this so she could make it out alive after all... And he'd come back after this, right? She hesitated for a moment, before quickly leaning in to kiss him. She kept it short though, they didn't know when the stone man would come back. "You better come back, or so help me, I'll come bring you back myself." There was a seriousness in her tone as well. A few moments passed, before she took a step back, fighting the urge to tell him she wasn't going anywhere, before finally obeying his order of sorts. She turned and ran for the exit, not looking back. She wouldn't be able to leave if she did...
