Anya just laughed. A fight between them would definitely be interesting. He was bigger, giving him the advantage, besides the fact that his hands could be any weapon of his choosing. She might've been stuck with her hookswords, but she knew how to use them better than anyone else, and was much faster than him. And her swordfighting came from her, not her powers, so that meant she was probably more dedicated to it, too.
"Getting yelled at is not really something I want to get into right now. I don't suppose you have an idea for getting out of trouble, do you...?" she looked at him hopefully.

"Well...no, not really, but I'm working on it."
His cheeks reddened a bit as he thought about what he said. He hoped she had a small plan of her own, because he was doing his best to come up with some excuse or reason, but nothing was coming to mind. Which was another problem. Even though they would be able to fool some of not all the teachers, Xavier would definetly be able to see right through them.
"Let's just hope we only get a slap on the wrist."

She smiled then, "Well, we did get the information, so maybe that is all we'll get," she said. She knew she was always optimistic, and it drove some people out of their minds, but it helped her to look on the brightside of things.
"Lying would be pointless, though," she admitted, thinking of Xavier. "So we might as well just tell them the truth..."

"Well yeah, we did get alot out of it, so we may get let off easy."
He took another look at her jacket which now held the drive that was full of information. He looked back up the road as the mansion began to come into view. We can't let them see it though he thought to himself, Not until we get what we need about Cain. He looked to Anya again, smiling as big as ever. He couldn't believe he went round two with Cain and won, with Anya's help.
"We'll tell them everything, Anya, but not until we get what we want from what we've got."

She knew he was probably right. Once the X-men a hold of it, Anya and David would probably never see it again, let alone get information they needed from it. She sighed, "I must warn you, I'm terrible at keeping secrets, even for a short amount of time."
That was partially true. She was terrible at keeping her own secrets. Keeping secrets for others, she was a master at. She knew everyone's secrets, or at least the people she'd touched, anyway. Everyone had at least on dirty little secret, and she'd promised herself never to tell anyone any of the secrets she knew about those people. None of them.

"Then I'm glad we'll be gone before any secrets could get let out."
And that was it. The plan he had going on in his head since the moment he stepped into the computer lab to locate the MRF. He would find anything he had on Cain, from strengths to weaknesses, exploit it, and challenge Cain to a final battle. He looked to her, smiling a bit as he spoke, then looked back towards the gates. There was no turning back now, not after all they've done. This was going to be the last step to defeating Cain. No matter how small it was, there had to be an opening.
"We'll stop Cain, and then nobody will be scared anymore."

From looking into his eyes, she saw his plan. She liked the idea of finding Cain's weakness, but the challenging part? Not so much. She pursed her lips. She knew defeating Cain was the most important part of this. They had to stop this Insurrection thing, even though she still wasn't sure she knew what it was. But if Cain was involved, and he obviously was, it had to be bad. So it had to be stopped. And from the looks of it right now, they were the only ones who could.
But still, even if they won again against Cain, something in her gut told her he'd never really be stopped. He'd never really be gone. But she nodded, keeping a smile on her face and trying to cover her doubt, although she had a feeling she wasn't hiding it very well.

(I'll make a thread in the computer room for David and Anya)
Back in the city, people still crowded around the wreckage that once was the MRF. It seemed all was quiet, a few sparks from cables flying around here and there. Everything seemed normal, until the sparks around the cable began to grow more frequent, and suddenly began to connect to other open cables. People began to back up, some falling backwards, but none were prepared for what came. None stood a chance as the electricity shot from all the open cables and into everyone that surrounded the crater.
Screams and cries of pain grew loud enough to hear down the block, but it was quickly silenced. In it's place was a silence more horrible then , the smell of burnt flesh and electricity in the air. The source was a large amount of energy that shot into the air, landing a few feet from the massive bodies and forming into a figure. The energy began to fade, revealing the form of a twice defeated Cain. His eyes burned with hatred and anger, staring off in the distance. He yelled in rage into the air, continuing to stare off in the direction of the mansion.
"Twice those fools have beaten me, but no longer. I still have one ace up my sleeve, and soon nobody will stand in my way. I will kill them all, and burn this world to ash."
He then turned and started walking off into the distance. He had to get to Japan, back to the remains of his factory. There was one chance he had to become stronger and more powerful, the one thing that he had taken from Apocalypse's lab and used on Ian, Meav and Alex. He would use it on himself, and become more powerful then even the Nightmares.
