She kept quiet until he said she could lead and smiled, too. "Well, if you lead then you'll run us right into the wall in this darkness."
Anya was only going to explain how she could see where she was going if he asked. She wasn't really that worried about running into things. she could see clearly through her barefooted feet. She led him down a flight of stairs and down the long hallways and then stopped short after a while.
"We're here," she didn't exactly know where "here" was exactly, but it was underneath the facility and still dark. She picked the lock on the door and turned on a small overhead lamp once they were inside. There was a huge computer in front of them. But, like most fancy computers, they'd need a password. Great... she thought. Even if she could find her way into the men in her vision's thoughts, it would take a while password.

"True, but that's all a part of learning isn't it?"
He laughed a little as she lead them through the hall. He would've asked how she was able to see, but once again chalked it up to her powers. He had to admit she was becoming a real good help through this, both physically and emotionally. He would've been in a slight panic if it wasn't for her being able to "see" where they were going.
"Ok, but where is here?"
He asked when she said they were here. He couldn't see a dang thing, but suddenly heard some clicking as if someone was picking a lock. Anya knew how to pick locks? That's an even bigger plus. When the light came on, he had to shield his eyes for a moment. After they had adjusted to the brightness, he looked around. This definitely was the main computer, it was almost identical to that of the mansion. He looked to Anya when she made the comment about needing a password.
"I'll handle this one."
He said, lacing his fingers together and stretching his arms as if to crack his fingers. He smirked and walked over to the keyboard and began looking around. There was one thing he prided himself on, and that was getting into computers. He had learned the art of hacking from some people who had let him in after he saved them from a group of thugs. He just needed to know where to start, but it wasn't long before a bright green "ACCESS GRANTED" appeared on the screen. He looked to Anya and winked, smiling as he did.

She laughed once when he said it was learning, and once they were inside her eyes almost instantly adjusted to the light. She never quite understood how or why, but her eyes adjusted to light immediately, and every time. She wanted his fingers move across the keyboard and smiled back at him when the ACCESS GRANTED popped up on the screen.
She didn't know how good he was with computers till now. And he didn't know she could pick locks so well, so they both learned something through this trip. "Good," she said, "I'll let you handle the computer stuff from now on."
And with that she walked around the room, running her fingers over everything, he eyes closed. There was nothing interesting enough in her visions to tell him, though. Since he was working on the computer, she figured she'd use her own method of finding clues.

"And I'll let you handle the locks and swords."
He smiled at her as he watched her walk away. He kept his eyes on her as she walked around touching things, figuring she's looking for something else. He turned to the computer and began punching up information. His eyes nearly widened when he saw the computer files that were in here.
"There's so much here...I wonder if there's a way to save this information."
He looked around, searching the drawers and shelves as he looked for a disk. After a while he was about to give up when he came across a small flash drive. He smirked a bit, thinking how technology had evolved even for mutants. He took the flash drive and walked over to the computer, finding a small outlet to put it in. The option came onto the screen to save the information to the drive, and of course he clicked "yes".

She smiled at him when he said she could handle the locks and swords. It was true that she was very good with both of those things. But most people wouldn't expect it from her.
"I'm sure the idiots here left a disk or drive or something. From the visions I'm seeing, they're geniuses but they have no common sense," Anya smirked, her eyes still closed and watching memories from people who had been there before pass through her mind.
When he found the drive she turned and watched him save it. "Ok, we got the information... Now what?"

"Well from what dad use to say, there's nothing common about sense." David said, standing and turning to her, placing the drive in his pocket, "And now we get out of here."
He should've known it was too easy, should've known that things weren't going to be as easy to get out of as they were to get in. This was proven by a cold clapping of hands that sounded from the doorway. David could feel the warmth from his body leaving him as he turned, knowing what was coming next.
"Bravo. Bravo indeed." the voice spoke, David turning to see Cain, "And here I thought nobody would dare try.
David moved closer to Anya, putting his arm around her waist. From any other view it would've been like he was holding her to him protectively. However, his hand slipped into her pocket, dropping the flash drive into it. He took her hand in his, letting her see his thoughts so he didn't have to speak. She was faster then him, and he knew that Cain would be more focused on finishing what he started with David. Anya could get out and get the information to the others faster.

Anya froze as soon as David said "now we get out of here." She was still barefooted, so she not only could see a vision of Cain arriving, but she could almost feel the vibrations of his weight across the floor.
Fear wasn't part of her personality. She'd never really been afraid before, and even as Cain stood in the doorway, she still wasn't. She knew she should be. Her heart still beat at a normal pace, but it was harder and she could hear it in her ears. But not from fear, from adrenaline.
Then she felt David slip something into her pocket. She knew without him having to show her that it was the flashdrive. She was definitely faster than him, and considering the crazy scars that David had shown her that night on the beach, Cain obviously had unfinished business with him.
But what David hadn't considered was that Anya would never leave him there. Not alone with Cain, not ever. The thought that she might didn't even cross her. And even though her nervous stare had been broken when she felt the flashdrive, she was now staring at Cain again. This time there wasn't a trace of fear, because there was no fear to show.

"Anya, get out and get to the others. I'll stall as long as I can ok?" he looked to her, "Please, you're the only chance we have."
Cain chuckled and laughed as David spoke, shaking his head at the heroics. Did David really expect him to let either of them go so easily? He took a few steps forward, changing his form to the material that was now under his feet. David glared at him, changing his form into stone, which only made Cain laugh even more.
"David, do you really think to go against me a second time? I left you for earlier, now I'm just going to kill you." Cain asked with his cold half smile.
"I've learned a few things since then, Cain, I hope you'll be surprised." David smirked.
"Oh I doubt that highly." he returned.
"Anya, go. I can't worry about both of you at the same time. Get out of here. Now!"
David charged to Cain, tackling him into a nearby shelf, causing different liquids and items to fall to the floor. Cain drew back and punched David in the stomache, sending him flying across the room. Cain stood and smirked, watching David get up with a chunk of rock missing from his sides. He must've been good at acting, because when David stood up, he struggled, but then stood straight and smiled. Cain's smile vanished to a look of curiosity, but soon turned to interest as he watched the missing stone being replaced by more.
"So you've learned to heal yourself. Impressive." Cain said with a smirk.
"Glad you approve."

Anya looked at him like he was crazy. She'd known from making eye contact with him that he'd learned a few things, but he still stood no chance against Cain. Not alone. But then her eyes were glued to Cain again as he laughed and shook his head. She'd never actually seen him in person before, let alone hear him talk. He was a lot different than she'd expected.
Then David was telling her to leave again. She glared at him now, "I'm not going anywhere." She gave him a look telling him that he didn't have to worry about her. She could take care of herself.
But before she could even do anaything, David was charging at Cain and knocking him into the shelf. Then, she spun around to watch him as he flew across the room and struggled. She knew he wasn't really hurt. His eyes gave it away, at least to Anya they did. Her hands dropped to her sides as Cain commented about David's healing, and rested on her belt where her hookswords were.
She was always underestimated, even David underestimated some things about her. She knew he did from his eyes. Her height and small frame made her look weak, but she was a lot tougher than she looked. She looked back at Cain, then, her expression emotionless.

Dam, why isn't she running? he thought as he looked to her. He watched her hand reach for her sides and then he knew. She was going to fight to! He gave an inward growl, wondering why and how female stubbornness seemed to outweigh even males. Cain followed his gaze, and smirked at Anya. There! he thought, seeing that he had caught Cain off guard.
"Wrong move pal!"
David charged again, his fists turning into what looked like the heads of sledgehammers. He brought them together just as Cain turned back to him. It was Cain's mistake, as the man was sent sprawling to the ground. Even as metal, Cain was a bit stunned by the impact, and this gave enough time for David to make his way to Anya's side.
"Fine, if you really want to do this, then at least make sure the drive doesn't get damaged." he spoke softly to her, "And be careful, Cain takes the form of whatever material you hit him with, so watch where you hit with the swords."

She couldn't help but smirk slightly as she read his mind again. Females were definitely stubborn. But even she was impressed at he knocked Cain to the ground.
Then he was back by her side again. At least he wasn't going to tell her to leave him there alone anymore. "I'm always careful," she replied. Even though her tone was emotionless, this was true. She was probably the most careful person David would ever meet.
She pulled little circular handles out of her belt and hooked blades came shooting out when she ignited them in unison. Most people had never fought someone with hookswords. Most people fight with regular, straight swords. Not only did Anya want to be different, but you can do a lot more with hookswords than just swordfight. She'd even invented her own technique.

Cain was getting more and more irritated at David the more he fought the boy. Something had changed within him, something Cain had missed. There was no anger or fury, no reckless attacks, David had been expecting this. Cain's eyes widened as a realization hit him. David hadn't been expecting it, he'd been planning it.
"Dam...I seem to have underestimated your potential, boy."
Cain struggled to stand up this time, but soon turned and looked to the two. The dents David had left in him were gone within seconds, and he now stood smirking. He watched as the girl took out the hook swords from their hiding places. He chuckled, his arms extending and straightening out into swords of their own.
"Very well then...let's play."

She'd been only slightly surprised that Cain would underestimate David. But a lot had happened since their last fight. Anya herself had convinced David to let his revenge go against him, so now he was only fighting just to stop him. And then David's new tricks came in handy, too.
She also wasn't surprised at his sword-arms. She knew his powers were like David's, and had been expecting it. Cain was ready to "play" now, but Anya never makes the first move. Fear wasn't in her nature, and neither was violence. She didn't know who he would charge at first, or he might just charge at both of them, but she had a feeling he would come after her first.
Girls were prime targets, it seemed. Especially the thin, petite ones that look helpless. Anya fit that description perfectly. She held her hookswords firmly, angled slightly in front of her. Adrenaline pumped through her viens, and she knew that always made her better. She didn't know how long it would last, but maybe it would last long enough to get out of there. So she stood, almost frozen in place, and waited for Cain to make his move.

"Anya, at least promise me that if things get too rough, you'll get out and get that to the others."
He watched as Cain's arms lengthened and turned into blades. He couldn't help but glance at Anya, hoping she was as good with the swords as she had said. He looked back to Cain again, flexing his fingers as he readied himself for the fight of his life. He barely got away from Cain the firs time, and that was out in the open. This time they were in a closed room with almost zero mobility. This was going to get rough.
"Fool, do you really think I'll let either of you leave alive?" Cain said with his usual smile.
"Maybe, but I'm willing to give it a shot."
"This time you die!" Cain said, then started his charge.
"We'll see about that!" David charged as well.

Anya didn't reply, but he should know by now that she wasn't going to leave him, even if she could get away. But she had a feeling she wasn't going to get the chance to.
She glanced at him though and saw a glimpse of him thinking about her swords. She was as good as she'd said before, but he didn't know that. And to anyone who didn't know her, she didn't look like a professional swordfighter. Cain probably didn't think she'd stand a chance against him.
When Cain smiled as he said he wouldn't let either of them leave alive, she didn't say anything again. David was already replying. But she did think, Not intentionally. But before she could think about anything else, Cain was charging toward them, and David was charging back.
She wasn't one for charging, so figured she'd wait. If David needed her help, she'd be right at his side. But for some reason she thought it would be better if Cain and David had their face-off without her. So she just watched and waited, her eyes glued to them as they charged.
