*Noticing that she was limp Shakaku rolled his eyes. He raised the hear around him, trying to make him conbust. Unfortunately he had never done that before so he wasn't sure that he could. Once the man was unconscience on the ground Shakaku came out from behind the tree. He walked to in front of Nezumi and picked her up. Luckily he knew his was out of the forest.*
*Nezumi was heavier than he thought she was, but he still carried her to Hazel's office. After dumping her on one of the beds Shakaku, with out a word, left. He didn't want to be known as the "hero" of the day. Then maybe his pray would stop being so afraid.*

At one point, Danielle finally did black out again, it must have been before the Bounty Hunter was taken care of, because she couldn't recall anything after the man falling to the ground. The next thing she was really aware of was being set down on something, a bed probably, a little rougher then she would have expected.
Hazel hadn't been all that surprised by Shakaku's rough handling of Danielle and quick escape, he'd done near the same thing with another young woman some time ago. As she looked Danielle over, two things became apparent. The first being she had a concussion, and the second that none of her injuries were from Shakaku. It looked like she'd run into one of those bounty hunters, actually. So then how did Shakaku play into this? Had he, dare she say it, saved Danielle?
Danielle head was treated with ease, Hazel giving her something to fight off the headaches, and then was ordered not to fall asleep. Hazel wanted Danielle to stay in the infirmary for the night, which didn't sound all that much fun, just so the doctors could keep an eye on her. Deciding she'd better not argue, she reached down for the small bag she'd been carrying over she shoulder, but only air. Her eyes went wide as she looked down to see it missing. Again... Her book was gone.... Probably back at where that Bounty Hunter had her...!

*Shakaku was tired, but he did think of the book that she had when she stormed off into the forest. So he thought he would send Furai to investigate. She was a good pet, and not as noticeable as a young Japanese mutant walking around.*
*With Furai's return she nodded at the fact that a bag with something that looked like a book was there. Shakaku sighed. Nezumi was much more trouble than a little mouse. But nonetheless he went. Retrieving the bag, being careful not to be seen by any one, hopefully. He made it back to his room. Hopefully Hazel would tell Nezumi that Shakaku had brought her there and she would come and ask him. But in the mean time Shakaku started to bury himself in a manga he had just been sent to him by his parents.*

Danielle was there about two hours before Hazel would finally let her go find her book, but before she'd mentioned who it was that had brought her there, in case that student had her things. Shakaku. Now who the hell was Shakaku? Pushing it a little more, she was horrified to realize that it was the Asian bully Oh, she'd rather be smote with Lightning then go to him looking for her book... Again! Why did he have it?!
Or more exactly... Why had he saved her?
With more pestering Hazel had finally decided to tell her where Shakaku likely was, his room, and even his room number so she could go find it. Of course, Hazel also warned Danielle about Shakaku's bullying. She just frowned, knowing all to well. She near ran to the room, dodging around people that got in her way, her mind reeling. Please don't let him have burned it! Or torn it apart.. Or ruined it in anyway! Reaching his door she near pounded on it, though only let herself slam her fist against it three times. "Give it back!" She raised her voice just enough he'd be able to hear if he was in there, a furious, though still very disoriented expression on her face.

*Shakaku was on the fourth book of the series, and was enjoying the piece, that was until he herd banging at his door along with a fairly furious Nezumi's voice. He sighed and closed his book. Setting it on the bed he got up. Walked over to the door and cracked it open.*
I see your awake Nezumi.
*He knew that she was there for the book but why just give it to her. It was much more fun to make her mad. Plus she should say thanks for saving her life. He knew that she wouldn't but it would be nice.*

Danielle's scowl deepened when he answered as if nothing were wrong, or had happened. Sure, her headache was already starting to come back, but she wasn't going to leave until she got her book back. He had no right to have it!
Then again, he had rescued her from a Bounty Hunter. That deserved a little credit, right? "Thank you... For earlier.." She had to force those words out, obviously not at all happy about having to say them. "That doesn't mean I like you though! I want my book back! You're the only one that could have seen it last, and I want it." Not to mention he knew it was important to her, so he'd have a reason to pick it up, just to irritate her.

*Shakaku sighed, she meant business. He swung open the door ((his room looks like this: eternalnight12.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=3rdfloor&action=display&thread=1833 )).* Come on in. *He reluctently spoke. She wasn't sure if she would come in or not, but he didn't care. He walked over to the desk where her bag was, The little creature, Furai, had made herself comfortable on it. Shakaku carefully picked her up and set her down on his pillow. He then turned back to the bag and picked it up. He handed it to Nezumi, expecting her just to leave in a huff.*

The fact that he invited her in completely took her by surprise. Had he really just said that?! Never had she expected anything like that to pass his lips. A little reluctantly, she stepped in, keeping close to the door though if she had to make a quick escape. No way was she going to let him trap her in here!
Her eyes watched him as he moved that little Squirrel off her bag, why was the squirrel sleeping on it anyway? For a moment though, her thoughts of him changed. He was so gentle with the small creature... He couldn't be all bad, right?
He was handing her bag back to her then, which surprised her even more. Why was he so willingly giving it to her? No snappy remarks at all! She was about to leave, when something stopped her. "Why did you do it?" Her words surprised even her, as she gazed at him, little emotion on her face. She had to know, why had he saved her?

*Shakaku shrugged. He knew that he had gotten possessive, but he was in such a lazy mood. He just wanted to get back to his manga.*
Don't be shocked. It wont happen again.
*He paused, looking at her, with a fairly mischievous.*
Plus, if anyone is going to be tormenting you, it would be me.
*He had really loved having fun. He had even giving her a name. Well nickname. Witch might actually change real soon.*

Ugh! He was so frustrating! One minute he was acting one way, the next he was acting completely different! He couldn't even answer a single question! She really wanted to hit him, or throw something at him... Or something! But held herself back. He wasn't tormenting her right now, and didn't want to give him a reason to start!
"You already let it happen once." Her accent was getting thicker again, and obvious sign that she was getting angry, one that Shakaku would recognize because it'd happened before. His next comment though... Well wasn't exactly what she was expecting. "So you only did it for your own sick humor? Is that all you care about? Making other people feel bad just so you can feel all powerful?" Danielle was so frustrated, and angry, and... well depressed! She almost looked like she might cry! She couldn't understand it. How could people ever act like that..?

*Shakaku shrugged. She was getting mad at him...and he wasn't even trying, this time. Was this a good thing? Maybe. Shakaku kept that mischievous look on his face.*
Something like that.
*He wasn't all bad, but it wasn't like he wanted people to actually know that. He wouldn't let those stupid Hunters get a hand on any student. He knew that he was good. And he hated the hunters more than anyone, well not more than the brotherhood but pretty close. If he knew that burning down the forest would kill all the hunters he would do it right now. Just because he only had one friend in this entire school doesn't mean that he was all mean.*

His answer was both expected and a surprise. She shouldn't have expected any other response from him, especially after everything else he'd done, but for some reason.... She'd at least hoped he'd surprise her, by denying it or something!
"You really are as heartless and cold as everyone else. Why I ever thought you might be different..." God, she really looked like she was about to shed tears, her eyes almost brimming over with them. "This is why I hate people." She didn't go into specifics. She didn't need to. She hated everyone, and Shakaku hadn't helped that hatred at all. Danielle turned and ran from his room, not bothering to say anything else, or wait and see what he might have to say. She didn't want to give him the satisfactions of making her cry...

*Shakaku did feel kind of bad when he made her, almost, cry. But why had she never shown that side before. He wasn't all bad, just for some reason he just had to seem more like the bully in every way. With a heavy sigh he closed his door and went back to his manga.*

Danielle returned to her own room, ignoring all the strange looks she got from the people she passed. She didn't care. All that mattered was getting away from all these people as soon as possible. She just near slammed the door of her room shut when she was inside, proceeding to curl on her bed and just lay there, letting those tears finally fall. She hated this. How the bully, Shakaku, was such a heartless idiot, who only cared about tormenting and torturing others. How when he'd finally shown a side not all that heartless, he just turned it right around to make the situation even worse. She hated everyone at the school.
She hated how he thought he was so much better then everyone else. She hated how his power couldn't nearly kill him. God, she just hated him! He hadn't shown a single trait that she might like! Sure, he'd saved her, but as he'd admitted, only for his sick humor so he could continue tormenting her...

*Shakaku read his manga for only a minutes until he had to go. Just that look of that annoying girl, crying just bugged him. So he went to a paper and wrote a message. Making his way to Hazel, she would know where Nezumi was. She most likely told her where his room was. Once he was down there he asked Hazel. He had to describe her, but he did gain something valuable. Her name was Danielle. He liked Nezumi better. But she did still remind him more of a cat. He made it to her room and slipped the note under her bed, followed by a nock. He wasn't going to congront her because if he did he would probably give her a slide remark if he did.*
*The letter wrote* Dear Nezumi.....Danielle, I'm sorry for making your cry, I was out of line. I saved you not only for my selfish pleasures. I'm not all that bad of a guy, atleast that's what Furai thinks. Shakaku
