she flinched a little when he touched her neck at first some of the old scars being touched. when he went up again her large green eyes opened as he stroked between the ears and the neck before she closed her eyes again. she looked up when he said not to yawn tilting her head a bit and layed back down when he yawned resting her head her ears twitching lightly. she stirred a little when he moved a bit before she stopped for a bit resting for awhile. she layed there for a wile before she shot her head up and looked around there wasn't something quite right in the air right now she hoped down and trotted off into an ally way and hide underneath a large trash bin before it started to lightly rain.

He was getting comfortable sitting on the bench, so comfortable in fact that he even caught himself nodding off. He would've fallen asleep completely if he didn't feel her getting jumpy. When she hopped off his lap he watched as she ran off down the alley.
"Hey, where you going? What's wrong?"
Deciding there was nothing else he could really do, he followed his feline companion into the alley, looking around at where she might be hiding in, on or under. It wasn't until he was halfway in that he felt a few raindrops on his head. Looking up, he noticed the sky had gotten exceedingly cloudy during their time together.
"Well that explains why the little one ran off. Now I just gotta find it then find us both shelter."
He continued to look for his furry friend, even as the rain began to come down a little harder and the wind began to pick up. Storms in New York can get pretty intense apparently. He hoped he could find the little cat then get them both to some shelter. A stray in the storm never lasted long in his hometown, so it wasn't a surprise he was worried how long a cat would last out here.

Kritsty hid under the trash can as the rain started to pour down getting worst and worst by the second her eyes scanning around for any way to get back home were it was safe and dry most importantly dry. when she saw the mans feet she poked her head out form under the trash can her ears down maybe this wasn't the best place to hide anyway it smelled really bad. She ran up to him and pawed at his pant leg making a small mewing sound as she started to get wet with the rain her short black fur sticking to her skin. She really hatted getting wet and bad smells so she rather be anywhere but here right now well maybe not anywere else she could think of a few places that she rather not be that were worst but they all involed the freak show.
She looked up at him her large eyes pleading for help to get out of the rain as she pawed him almost like a little puppy begging for a treat.

The rain was coming down hard, drenching him to the point of his clothes almost running through. The only thing that kept him warm and dry was his jacket. Thankfully there was extra insulation so it was hard for it to get wet. Didn't help the cold wind that began to blow though, which sent chills down his skin. He sighed and turned, about to give up when he felt something tug at his leg. Looking down, he saw his feline friend, looking up at him with pleading eyes, it's fur wet and matted down.
"There you are." He said with relief, "I've been looking all over this alley for you."
Kneeling down, he picked the little animal up and tucked it under his jacket. After making sure the kitten was warm, he looked around for a warm place to hide from the rain. After walking out of the alley and looking around, he noticed a nearby restaurant with people hiding inside. Knowing it would be a bad idea to bring an animal into the place, he decided to shelter the cat inside his coat more and ran for the restaurant. Opening the door, he found a place in the corner and sat down.
"Hope you can keep quiet, little buddy, otherwise we'll both be out in the cold." He whispered into his coat, making it look like he was looking for his wallet.

Kristy made a little purr when he said he been looking all over for her she hadn't ever really had someone try to find her who was nice about it and not wanting to hurt her.She curled up into a little ball when he tucked her away under his jacket she squirmed a little in the dark when he started to move just wanting to see were he was going when he told her that she had to keep quiet though or they get kicked out she hide more into his jacket her ears down and didn't make a sound at all. it was warm in the coat and she was starting to get dry again she only moved one more time to get a little bit more comfy as she started to nood off again the smell of the food in the restaurant seemed almost warm to her she wanted to make a small purr but kept quiet knowing that if she made to much of a racket that she be kicked out again and what was stopping the man from just dropping her outside and then walking back inside were it was warm.

He sat there at the table, feeling her squirm around under him. He shifted around himself, trying to make it look like he was digging into his pocket for something each time the kitten moved. He looked around at all the people, some glancing at him as he sat in the corner, and he just smiled and gave a nod as they looked. Some turned away, while others made small conversation with him. He loved to talk and meet new people, and he was glad that others were willing to talk back to him. He was getting a little nervous as they looked his way, but they just seemed to want to chat a little or see who the newest entry into the restaurant was. He had one arm under the cat that hid inside his jacket to support her, and another arm tucked into his jacket to give his new friend some attention around her ears and under her chin. He felt her purring softly and realized she was starting to fall asleep. He couldn't blame her, the ride into New York, the exercise chasing his new friend around, and the comfortable atmosphere of the restaurant was making him want to take a small nap as well.

Kristy blinked a little when his hand came to pet her a bit this man was a bit funny she dint need to be petted all the time but she wasn't going to complained as long as he didn't hurt her. She moved her head a little so his large finger was under her little neck to scratch her chin she tried not to move to much at all. she closed her eyes a bit this was the one good thing about her power she could be somewhat normal and people could not think she was scary every once and awhile. She nodded off a bit she stirred a bit only to hold his hand with her paw like it was a teddy bear her small teeth nibbling at his skin as she feel a sleep not in a mean way more playful and she was a sleep now she she didn't really know what she was doing. Her dream was warm and friendly she didn't know were she was it felt friendly but she wasn't sure someone holding her singing some old song a small little one.

He smiled and looked down at his jacket which hid his companion who was resting her head on his thumb. He felt her head getting heavy in his hand, and realized as she took his finger in her paws and nibbled playfully, that she was settling herself down to sleep. He settled himself into the booth and watched the rain hit the window. The water moved down the glass like small rivers finding their way down to the bottom. He had to admit he was a little homesick, feeling alone in a big city.
He must have nodded off a bit, because the next thing he knew, he was opening his eyes to a sunnier atmosphere. The sun was shining and the sky was blue, as if it hadn't rained all. The only evidence of a downpour was the raindrops on the window and the wet ground that awaited him and his furry friend outside. He took a peak into his jacket, seeing that she was still sound asleep. He decided to wait until she had woken up and given him a sign that she wanted to leave. He was beginning to get the feeling that she wasn't just some ordinary cat, mainly because she didn't act like one.

Kristy opened her eyes a bit and yawned a bit when the coat opened a bit she looked up at him with a small smile on her face she looked down at the finger she was nawing on in her sleep and licked it a bit she felt bad that she had bit him so much she was a kitten she needed things to play with and she didn't have that very much. She licked it for awhile as if she was trying to make it feel better . she didn't make to much movement mostly because she hadn't gotten the o.k to move from the man yet and she could still smell the warm rolls in the restaurant that they were in and could hear the other people talking taking orders she wanted to see what it looked like this was her first time in a restaurant at lest more then 1 minnet before she got kicked out the idea made her stir a little she wanted to see what all the people did in there she chould smell all the food and people but what did they all do in there. did they stand and eat did the workers have hats? she stirred a little more and tried to get a good view of what was out side the jacket.

He felt her stir and looked into his jacket just in time to see her look up at him and smile. Wait...the cat smiled? He saw her lick where she had nibbled his finger, he couldn't help but feel she was apologizing. He smiled and stroked the fur between her ears softly.
"Don't worry, you didn't hurt me at all."
He spoke quietly so not to have people wonder who or what he was talking to. When she began to stir, he felt it was time to step outside and get some fresh air. Granted you can't really call city air fresh are with all the stuff that's floating around in it. He stood up, holding his friend close to him. He then headed outside and turned to look in the window, seeing people eating and ordering food. He couldn't help but wonder if he could get a job in the city somehow, but first he'd have to find a place to stay.
"Well, guess I better go find a place to stay before I figure out what I'm going to do out here. Maybe I can find a hotel somewhere." he opened his jacket and moved the cat out into his arms, looking at it with a smile, "Want to come with me?"

She shock her head a bit as he stroked her fur with a small purr still wanting to see what people did in restraunt and what the food looked like that she was seeing or taste like the idea was driving her mad she jump out as soon as they where out of the restraunt and sat on his shoulder almost looking like she was pouting her ears down as she looked threw the window at the people. She wanted to be inside but she knew she never could.
She tilted her head a little when he asked if she wanted to go with him she didnt have anywere to go and did he say that he didnt have any were to stay didn't most humans have a place to stay, well expet the smelly ones who lived in alleys at night and stood on corners asking for money she licked her paw a bit. She never been in a hotel the manger of the freakshow had so she knew what they looked like on the outside but what did they look like on the inside did they have a huge hole in them did only adults go there what did the people with funny hats do there. She made a small mew sound and clawed at his shirt a bit getting exsided she didnt know what to look forward to it was a human thing and this guy was going to take her to it.

He could tell she was getting excited when he asked. He couldn't help but laugh at the way she was acting, like a child who got asked if they wanted to go to the circus. With a smile he gave her a small hug and started off down the walk, looking around for a hotel that he could stay the night. He didn't have a lot of money, but he had enough to hold him over for the time being, at least until he was able to find some work and then upgrade to an apartment.
"You know, call me weird but I just thought of this." he laughed a little, looking down at his companion, "I'm new in this city, so I wouldn't know where to find a cheap hotel if I tried."
Giving a small shrug, he looked around until he saw what looked like a map on the side of a nearby bus stop. He walked over and began to study the map, wondering if he could find a town hall and start from there. He then wondered if this city had a town hall or if it was called something else in the city.

Her ears drooped a little when he said he dint know were he find a cheep hotel for the night she nipped his ear a bit bugged that he didn't know what did he expect for a house to fall form the sky.
She hoped down when he looked at the map and looked up at it trying to study it she couldn't read at all but maybe she could get the picuter her eyes scanned it for a little bit when she looked over at a another picher that was on there of ..her..she blinked at little at it not understanding what it was but it wasn't a nice pitcher it made her look mean and scary.
If she would of been able to read she would of known it was the freak show posting a reward to find her and telling people how dangerous she was so to be careful and that the reward was for 15,000 dollars.
she looked away form it and back at the map and then pawed at a part that she knew there was a bunch of torest that slept at night in buildings making a small mew as she pawed at it. she wanted to see what one of these things looked like on the insides really really baddy she be home soon after she saw she was sure.

"Hey." he said, rubbing his ear, "Give me a break, huh? I'm new to the city."
He watched as she hopped down and looked at the map with him. What was with this cat? It was like it was more than just some average feline and even understood what he was saying. After all, how else would it had helped him out along the way so far. He saw where she pawed and looked at the spot. Giving her a small look, he shrugged and picked her back in his arms.
"Well, guess we've got no other choice huh?"
He started to walk around the map when he noticed the poster of a cat-like female. Reading the poster over, he couldn't help but give the reward post an odd look. Something about it didn't sit right with him. If she was dangerous, why would they not keep an eye on her and allow her to escape? Why offer 15,000 for her capture and return.
"Capture." he said with small disgust, "Even a freak show treats their people like animals. So much for finding people who'll accept you for who you are."
He gave a small sigh and began to walk towards where his furry companion pointed.

Kristy ears twitch when he said freak show and looked at him tilting her head a bit. Her ears dropped when she figured out what he was talking about. They were still looking for her, why she hadn't hurt anyone snece she got out well not that she knew of but she didn't know much.
She pawed at his legs until he picked her up again. She shock a bit in his arms she still was worried she didn't want to go back to the cages and shows. She didn't move as they walked until they got closer to were the hotel's were she piped up here ears up ready to see what everybody else gets to see
