A cool breeze rustled through the tree's of the plaza in North Salem. Bonfires were lit here and there all over, small crowds of friends gathered around each of them. Chatter and laughter filled the cool night air. It was a calm evening, a beautiful starlit sky overhead and the smell of snow on the air, mixed with the smell of barbeque, was enough to really wake anyone up. Altogether it was an absolute beautiful evening, and considering the coming winter, would probably be one of the last ones for quite a while.
Almost everyone in the plaza was either surrounded by friends, or had a date hanging from their arm. Well, everyone that is except for a lone man sitting on a bench in the middle of the plaza. Wearing a simple pair of jeans and a black button-down shirt, he would have looked like one of the crowd were in not for the incessant fidgeting he seemed to be doing. It was obvious from a distance he was just a little nervous about something.
You see, the man on the bench was Damien Mercuria, and he had good reason to be a little nervous. It had been about two days since he and Reverie got caught in those tunnels under the school. Two days since they kissed, and since they had... Well, had a first for a lot of things. Almost immediately after they had left those passageways, he had gotten caught up with practice sessions at the school and hardly got to see her or even speak to her.
So to prove that it hadn't been just a fluke, he invited her out on a date in the plaza. It was a simple enough thing, but he was left wondering if she would even show up, and if she didn't, what then? Well... This place was a hotbed for criminal activity so if she didn't show up he was sure he could find something to amuse his time. No, this was about Reverie, he had to stop thing about being a hero... at least for a bit.

To be honest, Reverie had seriously started to wonder if that time in one of the secret passageways had been a one night stand. Ever since, she’d only seen Damien once or twice, and even then it’d been a small glance in the hallway. Basically? Ever since they did… you know what, the two basically hadn’t even had a conversation. And when you were as insecure as her? Well, you really started to doubt yourself. Even if she had been able to read his thoughts, and knew for a fact he liked her, she’d started to worry she’d heard wrong. Or that they had somehow been fake thoughts, because he knew she could listen in. It’d make sense… To a point…
So, you could imagine her surprise when he asked her out on a date. Not a friends going out date though, a date date. Her first date ever. Talk about nerve wracking! Anyway, you’d think she’d stop being incredibly embarrassed and shy around him, especially after everything they’d done. Sadly, it only seemed to make it worse. Since the tunnels, just seeing him in the hall had made her blush a little! How the hell was she supposed to last a whole date without fainting?!
Reverie had probably stopped a dozen times on her way to the Plaza, nerves getting the better of her. For some reason, she was convinced that something would change in the ten or so seconds she’d walked. Several of those stops was to make sure her clothes hadn’t miraculously changed on her. Speaking of which, now was one of those times. Glancing down, she double checked once again, making sure she still wore her dark wash jeans, a blue long sleeved shirt and a brightly scarf of multiple colors. If asked why? It made her a bit more noticeable, so, you know, cars were less likely to hit her. At least, that was her excuse. She just really liked it, to be honest. And, as always, there were the ever present ear buds in her ears, her ipod playing in her pocket. Seriously, it was for her own sanity. To many people to eavesdrop on in town.
Letting out a sigh of relief, she looked up once more, her gaze scanning the Plaza. There were a few stationary people, so she could tell it wasn’t overly crowded, but not empty, she searched for Damien. He’d likely be trying to stay as still as possible considering her eyesight. And finally… She spotted him. Unintentionally, a soft pink touched her cheeks, enough to be called a blush, but nothing extreme. With a deep breath, she managed to get her cheeks almost back to normal (not quite gone though, there was still a hint of pink visible.). A few more deep breaths, she managed to work up the nerve to actually approach the guy. As she walked closer, she pulled the ear buds out… and flinching instantly. Not enough people to seriously hurt, but enough to make her twitch. Trying to ignore it, she stuffed them in her pocket. ”H-Hey.” She smiled that shy smile of hers that always seemed to make her blush a touch.

The longer that Damien waited on the bench, the more he began to wonder if this was a good idea. After all, when he asked her to come tonight he'd made it fairly clear with how he said it that this wasn't a date between friends, but that it was an actual date. As in, spending time together alone, preferably within very close proximity to each other. The interesting thing was, however, that Damien had been on a lot of 'dates' (mostly as friends) but never before on a single one of them had he ever been very nervous... The same couldn't be said for this one.
Every since they had... Well, done everything that they had done, it truly had been hard for him to see her at all. Though, the few glances of her he got here and there at the school, he always caught her blushing slightly as they made eye contact and to be honest... He had felt a rush of nerves every time as well. So, he figured since they couldn't find time there, he would make time. Now he was beginning to wonder if she would show up. He said to meet at eight o' clock, in the plaza, it was eight o' five right now! Ok, perhaps he was being a little strict but hey... He was a perfectionist, could you expect anything less of him?
Though, after twenty minutes past the hour, it turned from perfectionistic nerves to actual nervousness that she bailed on him. Great, he should have figured this would happen. Just as he was about to stand up though, he heard a timid, sweet, Scottis accent just to his side. Almost immediately, a grin spread across his face, though he tried to restrain it, as he turned to look at her.
The moment he saw the odd color coordination of blue, blue, multiple colors a slight pang of OCD hit him. The color match up was a little off and that annoyed him. The moment he saw her face though, what color her scarf was, or what she was even wearing melted away and honestly... he didn't care anymore, "Hey... You look gorgeous, Reverie." Considering he couldn't lie... Yeah, it obviously didn't annoy him anymore.
The slight twitch she made a was immediately evident to him, glancing around her turned back to her, "I was trying to pick a fun place with as few people as possible. Sorry if it's too many..." If she wanted to go somewhere with less people, he would be more than willing. The longer he looked at her, the more sweet he realized she looked and he felt a slight urge to give her a kiss but was afraid it might be too forward (odd considering what they had done)... Damn his proper upbringing...

Reverie really, really, felt bad for being late. It wasn’t something she’d intended on, but she in the rush of getting ready, she had completely forgotten to factor in one, tiny, but very important detail. How long it would take HER to get to the Plaza. If she was normal, she would have been able to make it in time, probably with time to spare. BUT, considering her eyesight, Reverie had to go out of her way to avoid as much movement as possible. That meant taking as many back roads as possible to avoid heavy traffic. They’d see her, but she wouldn’t see them, and crossing a busy street… Not the easiest thing when you didn’t have a sight dog. You know, she should probably invest in one of those someday… It’d make her life a whole lot easier…
Somehow though, she managed to overlook that she was late. Which was probably a good thing, how do you think she’d feel if she realized she was twenty minutes late?! She’d die of shame! Not to mention, she’d really worry about him getting bored and leaving before she got there… Anyway, her smile brightened a little when he turned to look at her.
By some sort of miracle, she managed to miss his OCD moment about her outfit. If she had heard it? The poor girl probably would have wanted to hide. Maybe the location was a good idea, she managed to miss the one thought that would have made her beyond self conscious! So, when he said she looked gorgeous? She had no reason to think he’d ever thought something else beforehand. Unwillingly, her cheeks flushed a deeper red, but not nearly as bad as other times. ”Ah…. Uh… T-Thanks…” Curse her tongue! Why must it be tied right now of all time?! She absolutely hated how her body was out to make her look like the biggest fool possible around him!
The blushing went down a little when he spoke again, a look of surprise instantly replacing it. Obviously, she’d never had someone act so…. Concerned before. Usually, they told her to suck it up, or just keep the voices out. ”Ih’s no’! Donnae worry, ah just wasnae ready fur ih, is all.” She was actually happy that he cared enough to worry about that! But no, she could handle this crowd, their voices had just taken he by surprise. He’d know without a doubt if there were too many people, because she’d be withering in pain. Still smiling shyly, she sat down on the bench next to him.
His luck didn’t last though, because unlike his OCD moment, she heard that sudden urge to kiss her. Unintentionally, she blushed a little, giving away that she’d heard it. But, the girl offered no protest. If he wanted to kiss her, he could go right ahead. In fact, she’d welcome it, even if… well… People would be watching…. It was a good thing she couldn’t see most of them! That’d be embarrassing…

As she spoke, that soft and sweet Scottish accent floated through the air and immediately made Damien smile a little more. The thing was, he really did like her accent. It was different, unique... Very attractive, at least to him. Funny enough though, every time he had heard the Scottish accent before, it was always very gruff, short, and always made him think of someone with a huge beard and lots of muscle. Basically, the average Scotsman that everyone thought of, big, burly, and tough. Before he met Reverie, he would have never guessed that it could sound so... well... Beautiful, hard to understand on occasion, but still just as good regardless.
"Well, if it ever gets to be too much, just let me know and we can go somewhere quieter." Actually, the thought of she and Damien alone was... No, he stopped himself before he let the thought go too far, hopefully she hadn't heard it. While it wasn't exactly 'bad' in nature, he didn't want her to think that was the kind of things he thought about. Not to say that the thought of what happened in those tunnels hadn't crossed his mind... It was just... Great, now he had to change the subject in his mind before she heard his nervous rambling thoughts...
Everything seemed to get a little more coherent as she sat down next to him though, his thoughts streamlining once again and he calmed down. She was here, she actually came, and she sat down right beside him... He seriously needed to stop worrying. In fact, he needed to try being a little braver around her, he could fight bad guys all day and never be afraid, why was this any different. So, with a soft smile, and a racing heart, he leaned over and softly pressed his lips to hers. Considering his personality, and the fact that they were in the public, it was VERY forward for his general behaviour but tonight... he didn't mind.
After a few minutes (and truly several minutes, he hadn't meant to kiss her that long but... it just happened) he finally broke away and cleared his throat nervously. "There was something I wanted to show you, it should be just starting." As he spoke, his hand slid over and wrapped around hers, before standing up and pulling her to her feet with him. Only, he didn't let go of her hand as he started walking, in fact, he seemed to grip just a little tighter. As he walked through the plaza, the crowds seemed to be getting thinner and thinner as they made their way to the center of the area. Slowly, up ahead, a stage could be made out with people standing on it; actors...

Damien wasn’t the only one that thought her accent was a bit off. Okay, not off, but had a certain point of view of the accent before meeting her. Like he thought, most people believed the accent belonged to big, burly men with long beards. As sad as it was? Reverie knew quite a few Scotsmen like that… Actually, she had quite a few relatives like that, including her dad! Basically, his original expectation of the accent was justified. It was always strange to her though that people never thought about girls having the accent…. Only men. What was up with that? Anyway! Moral of the story? It made her really, really happy that she’d changed Damien’s mind about Scots.
She smiled a little brighter at his concern, quickly nodding her head. ”Ye’ll know if ih gets bad.” Oh, he’d know. Like she’d thought before, she withered if it got bad. Literally. Only an idiot wouldn’t realize she was in serious pain. So when she said it was just a mild irritation, she meant it.
Hearing his next series of thoughts, she blinked, almost in surprise. Almost instantly she blushed, like every other time she’d heard his thoughts (or her own) wander to that time in the tunnels. It wasn’t an ashamed blush though, it was the ‘oh my god, I can’t believe a guy would like me that much!’ blush. So, yeah, she was a little embarrassed by his thought, but all because she never would have thought such a thing was possible before now.
So, still tuned into his thoughts, she blushed a little more when she heard that second urge to kiss her, but instantly smiled. She couldn’t help it, she liked the guy after all! With that thought in mind (and trying to ignore the nagging reminder that they weren’t alone!), she leaned into the kiss, softly returning it.
They kissed a lot longer then she thought they would, but the girl didn’t mind at all. The longer they kissed though, the easier it was to ignore everyone else’s thoughts. Talk about a good distraction! When he pulled away though, the background noise returned, and instantly she knew there was more than one person watching the pair kiss. That…. Made her blush once again.
”Just start’in?” To say she was confused was an understatement. His thoughts didn’t give away what he was talking about, which didn’t happen often. Obviously, he was intentionally making sure he didn’t think about it so he didn’t accidently give it away. She was about to mention that he’d have to take her hand and lead her there (The intention not being just to hold hands, but it could come off as that….), because she wouldn’t be able to follow, when he did exactly that. Seriously, wasn’t she the mind reader? Smiling brighter, she followed, holding onto his hand tightly as he lead her off. Almost instantly she noticed she couldn’t hear as many people. And then…. Suddenly there was a stage before them. And, when they were stationary, a stage. In surprise, she glanced at him, or, where he would be if he wasn’t moving.

As always it seemed Reverie was in a constant state of blushing. If Damien thought something about her, she blushed, if he did something to her, she blushed, if she saw someone was watching them, she blushed. It seemed that her first reaction to any situation was to blush, instead of 'fight or flight', it was 'blush or blush harder'. Though, to be completely honest, he really liked it. Every single time she blushed it was... Well, adorable, it made him want to kiss her again for every blush (and considering just how much she blushed, that was A LOT of kisses).
Though, considering how bad she blushed when he started thinking about the tunnels, it was obvious she was listening in. The strange thing was, she neither said she didn't want him to think about that, nor did she seem ashamed at all. In fact, she almost seemed... Happy? He wasn't sure, but it seemed like she almost liked him thinking about that. Either way, with how hard she was blushing he would try to not think about it, or at least change his thoughts when she did.
To be honest, Damien felt almost childish around Reverie. It was like everything she did made him excited and giddy. She kissed him, and he loved it, she'd hold his hand, and he'd get nervous... Why was he like this? It was embarrassing that he couldn't keep his embarrassment under control. Though, the fact that she was just as nervous honestly kind of helped keep him calm. Either way, when she squeezed his hand as he squeezed hers, a small smile spread across his face, he definitely wasn't letting go now.
"Yep, just starting... I hope." It said it started at eight-thirty after all. As they made their way to the center of the pavilion, a small crowd was gathered around the stage as a group of actors acted out a play. "Well, here we are... A play!" He said as the actors recited out their lines. At first, it seemed that Damien had just brought a blind girl... to a play... Smart thinking.
After a few seconds though, sudden clapping erupted from the small audience and the actors took a bow... and got off the stage. Seconds later a band moved up onto the stage, where instruments were already set up and immediately began playing, "Or at least it WAS a play.." A smirk spread across his face. He knew she couldn't see movement, and was effectively blind, but you didn't need eyesight to hear good music and on top of that, he had noticed how she always was listening to her iPod and seemed to focus more when it was in. So, a live band with loud music would be even better, right? At least he hoped so...

It wasn’t that Reverie liked blushing so much, it was just a… a reaction. She honestly couldn’t help it! It just really sucked that most anything made her blush… Especially if Damien was involved. He’d somehow turned into an instant blush magnet for her. She just couldn’t not blush around him!
”Huh?” She gave him (or his direction) another confused look as he pulled her closer and closer to the stage. When she heard that thought about the time, she was even more confused. It didn’t give anything away, just that something was going to happen at eight-thirty. But that was all she got. The closer she got though, the louder the voices got. Yeah, those were definitely actors. She could hear the lines running through their minds before saying them.
Okay, now she was really, really confused, especially after he announced it as a play. Sure, she could see some parts of a play, but actors had issues staying still. So the few times she had gone to one, she’d been lost and confused more than half the play. Honestly, like movies, plays were meant for people who could see perfectly. ”A…. play…?” She gave him a weird look, as if trying to figure out why he’d thought of that. But when she heard the applause, and the actors minds moving away…. Something was definitely up.
Suddenly, she heard music. Unable to stop herself, she started to smile, and then grin. So he was paying attention? Noticing she was almost always listening to music… Okay, now she felt really, really flattered.

The moment they got close to the stage and the actors began to take their bows, Damien began watching her very closely as he stood there. Her confused expression almost made him laugh a little, it was probably very, very strange to have to watch a play and not be able to see movement. Not to mention she was probably wondering why he took her on a date to something she couldn't experience. Seeing her expression made Damien feel almost... Devious, with his planning... Now he knew why his sister enjoyed trying to trick people so much, even though his tricking had a much better intent behind it than hers EVER did.
Either way, his small smile broke out into a grin as the band started playing and her look turned from one of confusion, then surprise, then... Wow, that smile... It was absolutely beautiful. He watched her for a moment, she really was sweet... Oh great, was he falling for her? Sure they were dating but if he didn't slow himself down he was going to fall hard, faster than he wanted. He shook his head slightly and brought his thoughts back to the real world.
Damien chuckled a little, "I hear this band is pretty good." Though he felt like his mission was accomplished, deep down, he was just hoping that all his assumptions about her iPod and music were correct. Softly squeezing her hand, he began to lead her to a pair of chairs at the corner of the stage, when something suddenly caught his eye.
Off in the forest there was a strange flash of green light through the trees behind the pavilion and then it disappeared. Damien froze for a moment and stared off into the trees, every feeling in his body turned to "hero" mode and immediately wanted to investigate... But the soft and tender hand in his, brought him back to reality, he shook his head slightly and continued leading Reverie toward the chairs, though he was still focused on where the light was, "You know, I'm really glad you came tonight Reverie. Sorry if I haven't been able to see you much at the school." Damien had to speak at an almost yell over the music.

When Reverie was younger, music had been her escape from people’s head. She only listened to it to keep people out. AS she got older though, it became an almost…. Obsession. Kind of like a safety blanket. She just didn’t feel right without music playing in the background, or at least her ipod in her pocket. Basically? She got a little fidgety if her ipod wasn’t attached to her hip.
So, miraculously, she wasn’t tuned into his thoughts as the music played, so she managed to ignore most of what he thought. She was slightly aware of his reaction to her reaction though. Instantly realizing she had reacted in such a way, her cheeks turned a soft pink. She didn’t mean to act like…. Like a nerd, for lack of a better word. But, she couldn’t help it! The girl listened to everything imaginable, so he could take him to any concern, and she’d likely know, and love the music played. So, unable to stop herself, she could feel herself getting a little…. Well giddy. ”They ur….” She said one thing, but it sounded more like she was trying to say ‘oh my god, I know this song!’. Yup, serious nerd.
Still smiling, she let him pull her along to a place to sit. Even with a harder time tuning into his thoughts, she instantly caught his unease, like he’d seen something… She stopped to, looking at him with almost concern as she tried to figure out what it was. But, quickly she hid her own reaction, if only so he wouldn’t worry. ”Ah’m glad ah came too!” She sounded just as cheerful as she’d acted, but like him had to raise her voice a little so he’d hear her. Still, there was that nagging feeling in the back of her mind that something was up. So, not wanting to yell, she intentionally reached out with her own mind to his.
What’s wrong?

Like Reverie, Damien was an absolute music nerd too. So she really had nothing to be ashamed of. He noticed right away how excited Reverie was about the band, and how she seemed to both know them and the song. Admittedly, Damien hadn't heard the song but he had heard of the band, they were a bit more rockish than he was used to listening to but he had heard of them just the same. Either way, Reverie shouldn't have felt like a nerd simply because of how much Damien knew about music as well. Though you couldn't really blame him considering who his parents were.
Anyways, tonight wasn't about his parents, or his sister, or anything that was related to them. Tonight was about Reverie, and spending time with his... Girlfriend?... Yes, she likely was his girlfriend. That was quite an interesting thing... Speaking of Amber, it would be very bad if she EVER found out about Reverie. Damien made a mental note of that as he lead her to a seat by the stage, "Yeah, they aren't too bad. This is song is off their new album if I'm not mistaken." Damien said somewhat absent-mindedly in reply to her.
"I have been looking forward to... well.. Being with you ever since... Heh, yeah." His face blushed slightly. Not only was he not that great at intentionally flirting, but then to bring up that day in the tunnels, well... You couldn't blame his blushing. Almost insantly though he felt her voice, not heard, FELT... She was in his head, well, she was always in his head, but apparently she had heard his thoughts.
Damien fidgeted slightly, Nothing, just thought I saw weird... Don't worry, I'm not leaving you, or the band. Though he meant the thought to be comforting, he still had that burning urge to investigate. When the finally got to the table with the two chairs, Damien stopped and held the chair out for her to sit in, standing perfectly still as he did so... Though deep down, he wanted absolutely nothing more than to go see what that was in the forest right now, but he really didn't want to leave Reverie either... Quite the pickle he was in.

Reverie listened to anything and everything she could get her hands on. Classic, rock, pop, international, everything. Her ipod had at least one cd of every music variety in existence. So, it was no surprise that she knew this band, and this song. Sadly, she hadn’t gotten the cd the song was on quite yet. It was on her to-do list though. ”Ih just came oot.” Miraculously she’d managed to avoid him thinking about his sister, otherwise she might be a little curious what he meant by it exactly.
His next comment tore her from her own thoughts. She quickly glanced at him, or where he should be with one of the most stunned looks she’d given so far, before her cheeks flushed even redder. She wasn’t protesting, obviously, or denying that she felt the same way. It was just the way he’d put it…. And by put it, she meant actually hinting at it out loud. It really brought out that shy side of her. ”Y-yeah…” She didn’t mean to stutter, it’d just taken her a little off guard. But, at the same time, she was absolutely overjoyed that he’d…. well had thoughts somewhat similar to her own… Even if they were more than a little embarrassing.
Her head tilted slightly as she heard his somewhat strained thoughts. She knew he wanted to go investigate, the ‘Prince Charming’ side of him showing. But, at the same time he couldn’t lie, so he meant it when he said he wouldn’t leave her. It almost made her feel…. Bad, to be honest. She was deep in thought for several moments, at least until they’d reached the table and he had her chair pulled out for her. Unable to help it, she smiled, quickly taking her seat.
There was still that nagging feeling in the back of her mind, telling her that he really wanted to go investigate whatever it was he’d seen. For several moments, she was silent, listening to the music, and trying to decide what to do. Finally she glanced at him, still smiling. ”We can go look, if ye want.”

As Reverie took her seat, Damien grabbed the chair on the other side of the table and moved it beside her, sitting very close. After all, they had been holding hands and kissing, so he felt like it was alright to be this close to her... Besides the fact that he actually liked being this close to her, funny considering he wasn't really a touchy person. He didn't like people touching him, he could touch other people, but not the other way around. It was likely part of the OCD in him as it really had no explanation at all but Reverie seemed to be excluded from that annoyance. She could touch him and he... really liked it, strange.
When they had been sitting for a few minutes, Damiens head slowly turned back to the forest. What was that strange green light, and if he wasn't mistaken, he could've swore he heard screams as well coming from within the forest. He hadn't even noticed, but his thoughts had become lost in the desire to go investigate. So lost in fact, that he hadn't noticed that two or three songs had played before he suddenly heard Reverie's voice.
Jumping ever so slightly, he turned to her, a small smile spreading across his face as what she said sunk in, "You really wouldn't mind?... Alright, we'll go for just a minute, I promise." He said, a little excited that he was getting to go and quickly jumped up from his seat and began walking toward the forest. He had only taken about four or five steps when he suddenly remembered, Rev couldn't see where he was going. Quickly he ran back and grabbed her hand, "Sorry about that, come on!" He said with a slight laugh, kissing her on the cheek before grabbing her hand and pulling her toward the forest.
The edge of the forest was only about a five minute walk from where they were, but as they got closer, Damien could make out what looked like... Lights, off in the distance of the forest, and more screams. He gripped her hand tighter before pausing slightly at the edge of the forest, "You sure you want to go in with me?" As he spoke, another batch of faint screams could be heard coming from the multi-colored lights deep in the forest.

Seriously, Damien was a gentleman. A serious gentleman. Moreso then she’d ever met before. It was so sweet… It made her blush just a touch. But she really, really, loved it.
Focused on her thoughts and the music, she’d managed to ignore his thoughts until her own had brought her back to him. Somehow, that meant several songs into the performance. And when she dragged him out of his own thoughts? She was honestly surprised by his enthusiasm, but it made her grin. ”ah wouldnae mind.” Honestly, it was really cute how excited he seemed to get.
And really funny that he seemed to forget about her for a few moments. But it was understandable, he was very enthusiastic. When he returned, she couldn’t help but laugh. ”Well, ah’m glad ye came back! Woulda been hard ta follow ye otherwise!” Impossible, actually. Somehow, she managed not to blush when he kissed her cheek, just grin brighter, and hurry to keep up.
While she couldn’t see the lights, she could hear his thoughts. And, with a little more focus, hear… screams? She wasn’t sure if she should be worried or confused… ”…” She stared at the woods for several seconds, as if trying to decide, before glancing at him. ”Ye cannae go in alone, so yeah.”

"Well, considering I don't know where I'm going, I guess you could say the blind is leading the blind here." It was a very corny joke, but he chuckled a little all the same. It was a little true if you thought about it. After all, he was headed into a dark forest he had never been in before, so he had no idea what he was doin, not to mention couldn't see in the dark... Still a corny joke though.
As they got to the edge of the forest, Damien couldn't help but hesitate for a moment. It was very dark, and the screams only made it more haunting.Though oddly enough, Damien was more nervous about holding Reveries hand than he was about entering the dark scary forest. His only real hesitation was in case something bad happened, he didn't want her to get hurt, "Well, glad to have you by my side then." A soft smile accompanied the comment, and it came off far more flirtatious than he meant...
Either way, now was the time. He squeezed her hand a little harder and headed toward the lights. Random screams began to get louder and louder and shapes could be seen moving around the lights. As they got closer, what looked like tents, could be seen as well, the random screams getting louder along with... laughter? Yes definite laughter. When Damien finally stepped through the trees and into what was causing the light, he saw massive tents erected, a few rides here and there, side-shows and attractions... it was a carnival, hidden in the forest!
Small crowds were moving about here and there as Damien led Reverie into the middle of the tents, a smile breaking out, "Wow..." Wow indeed, it was like a small city erected in the middle of the forest. Trying to decide what to look at first, he suddenly realized how the crowds were probably affecting Reverie... Without saying a word he looked for a quiet place and immediately found a potential place... Oh great, this would embarrassing.
Leading Reverie through the crowds he made his way to a giant sign that said "Tunnel of Love". Glancing down at Reverie he blushed slightly, You want to? Damien thought, knowing she probably wouldn't be able to tell his voice over the large, and loud talking, crowd all around them.
