Alucard had gotten the stand all set and ready to go. All the food stuff was prepared and ready to be cooked at any moment and all to Alucard's liking. He hadn't seen any business to his stand once he had gotten it up and going. He didn't mind it all that much though, less work and more time to read for him then. No one seemed interested in coming to his stand at all. A few people had shown up and looked at the name, but decided they would rather go some place with people actually getting food. Things weren't busy for Alucard, and he was enjoying the fact he wasn't having to move as fast as his body would allow. He wasn't scrambling to greet people, take their orders, cook the food, serve the food, and then repeat the whole thing all over again from scratch when the next people got to the stand. He truly was enjoying not having to be so busy and interact with random people.
Alucard just sat behind the stall corner reading one of the stack of books he had brought with him in a new satchel he had boughten. This one was crimson with dark green leaves floating across the front of it.

It might sound strange that Yuki loved to go to these types of things because of her super shy personality, but she did. She loved to just sit and watch how all of the other students interacted with each other in this kind of environment, and because of her personality she was able to blend into her surrounding and with all the other things going on with no one even noticing that she was even there.
After awhile though all the noise and people started to overwhelm her and she decided to start to move over to a place where it would be less crowded. After moving through the crowd she soon found a food stall standing all by itself with no one else around. Assuming that the stall closed she decided that it would be the perfect place to sit down and catch her breath before heading back to the overwhelming crowd of students at one of the busier stalls.
Taking a seat at one of the tables that surrounded the tiny stall Yuki took a deep breath before placing both elbows on the table, turnnering her attention to the clouds, losing touch with what is around her.

Alucard was just sitting there enjoying his book, when he heard someone walk up. He glanced over and saw girl who was around his age, perhaps slightly younger then him, walk up and sit at one of the tables. She just put her elbows up on the table and began to look at the stars. He could tell she was looking for a breather, and normally would have gladly let her do so in silence, but he had to at least attempt to sell something or he wouldn't be keeping his word to help the stand out.
Alucard reluctantly closed his book and stood up. He grabbed the pen and untouched pad of paper he was going to use to take orders and walked over to her. He wasn't sure what to saw to her, or if she even understood French, but he might as well greet her like he had planned on greeting everyone.
"Bienvenue fleur perdue, comment puis-je vous servir aujourd'hui?" Alucard asked her as he got to her. " Welcome lost flower, how may I serve you today?"
Alucard waited to see what she would say and wondered what she was going to say to him. Was she going to just want some space to catch her breath or was she going to end up ordering?

Because Yuki had put all of her attention in to just watching the clouds Yuki didn’t hear Alucard approaching at all, in fact she didn’t even know anyone else was even in the same area as her seeing as no one had been here when she had arrived, or so she had thought, that until he started to speaking to her she thought she was alone. Coming quickly came back to earth she almost gave herself whiplash in trying to turn to face where the sound was coming from. Upon seeing Alucard Yuki’s breathing quickened and she almost fainted then and there. She hated it when people surprised her, it was even worse when it was a boy around her age that had surprised her.
Trying to gather her scattered wits Yuki started to answer him in the language that came naturally to her, Japanese. “Atashi….Atashi…” Yuki took a breath trying to calm her rapid breathing, though it didn’t really help. Trying to answer him again Yuki said, “Ano…I mean um…” Having no idea how to answer him because her brain didn’t seem to want to work Yuki just took a quick look at Alucard before quickly ducking her head, her bangs covering her eyes.

Alucard watched her freak out and get all nervous after he had spoken to her. She had hidden her face in her bangs. So basically, he was going to have to wait for her to figure out what she wanted. He stood there looking at her for a moment before he walked back to the stand. He put some bottled water and ice into a large plastic pitcher he had gotten for the place as well as a plastic cup. He walked back over to where she was still hiding under her bang at and set the cup and pitcher down in front of her. He stepped back to give her some space.
" I will come back in a moment to see what you want, feel free to use the pitcher as much as you want. Take as long as you like to order, I don't have anything else to do anyways." Alucard said to her before he went back to the stand.
Alucard got the cooking utensils out and ready to go before he sat down and continues to read where he had left off earlier. He was going to give her some time to calm down and look the menu over before he asked her again what she wanted.

Order? She didn’t even think this place was open when she had come over here. Heck she didn’t even know what kind of food this place had to offer. Trying to find something to distract her Yuki grasped at the pitcher like it was a lifeline, quickly pouring herself a drink. After she had finished her cup of water Yuki took a few deep, calming breaths. Now that Alucard wasn’t in the immediate vicinity she was able to calm down slightly, while having time to try and gather her thoughts.
After a few minutes, and a few more deep breaths, Yuki felt that she was clam enough to try and process what she needed to do. Quickly looking over the menu as another way to distract herself Yuki quickly looked to see if there was something there that she would like to eat. Being from Japan Yuki was used to Asian food and as such wasn’t familiar with the kinds of foods that this sort of stall had to offer. As she continued to scan the menu Yuki became to realize that she had no idea what any of these dishes were and was becoming more and more confused the further she went down the list of items available.

Alucard had finished the chapter he was reading and set the book back down. He grabbed the pad of paper and pen again and walked over to where the girl was looking at a menu. She seemed to be confused by what she was looking at and couldn't figure it out at all. He watched her for a moment before he decided she wasn't any closer to figuring out what she was looking at.
" What might you be use to eating? I'll make it for you if I have the stuff to make it. So just say anything you might want." Alucard asked her as she was still looking at the menu. " Anything at all, really."
Alucard waited for her to tell him what she wanted and then just gave her a nod in reply and headed back to the stand. He looked at what he had, and amazingly had what was needed to make her dish. He wasn't sure why that was, but he had it all so he actually could make it for her. He started getting everything cooking and became lost in making sure it was perfectly cooked. He had gotten it all cooked faster then you would have expected he could. He got it on a plate and took it out to the girl waiting for her food. He set it in front of her with a pair of chopsticks he had randomly in his satchel, probably because he was curious about trying to eat with them or something.
" Here is your order, please enjoy your meal." Alucard said to her. " Let me know what you think of it."

Yuki was more prepared for Alucard’s arrival this time since it wouldn’t exactly be a surprise like it had been the first time he had approached her, that time he had completely taken her by surprise, though that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t be shy. She would still shutter and her breathing would be quicker then normal, but at least she could respond or at least she hoped she could respond. He seemed like he was more patient then other people their age when dealing with her personality.
As soon as Alucard arrived Yuki gathered what she could of her courage so that she could hopefully answer him in English. She would probably stutter as she could never drop that habit when around people she didn’t know, but at least it would be in a language that they would understand.
Taking a deep breath she told him one of the dishes that she would eat often in Japan. It was a simple dish and he would most likely have the ingredients for it so he should be fine. As soon as he placed it in front of her she took the offered chopsticks from his hand and started eating.
When she came here she hadn’t been planning on getting any food but decided to order some anyways because he asked, but as soon as she took a bite she realized how hungry she actually was. Maybe that slight panic attack made her hungry? She just shrugged, or would have shrugged if she had been by herself. After a few more bites Yuki found the courage to actually look at Alucards face. “I-It’s g-good. Th-thank –y-you.”

Alucard stood back and waited for her to eat some of the food and hoped it was alright. He only ever cooked for himself so he always made food the way he thought it tasted the best without thinking about someone else eating it. That could have been good or bad since according to his family, he had weird taste in food. He wasn't sure how this girl would like it, but he hoped she did. He had noticed how shy she was, and he was kind of glad he could feed her at least instead of having to cook for the flock of mindless sheep that had thankfully avoided his stand. She said she liked it after eating some of it.
" I am glad then. It has been a pleasure serving you, so please feel free to ask for anything else you may require." Alucard said to her with an attempt at a smile.
Alucard had tried to smile, but he pretty much failed at it. He wasn't so sure how others would have seen it though. He could have seemed to smirk or to not be saying how he felt or what had happened of him not doing a good job at it since he rarely did.

Yuki continued to eat her food, enjoying the surroundings around her. It was nice here; even with all of summer fest going on this area was quite. Kind of like its own little world inside of all the noise and commotion that made up the summer fest. Because of the calm and quiet atmosphere Yuki was once again surprised when she was once again reminded that she wasn’t alone, that there was in fact another student with her, though she wasn’t as surprised as she had been the first time. In fact the more time she spent around someone the more she relaxed around them.
Yuki just nodded in response to his question not planning to really say anything. She was just going to stay here and enjoy the quiet for a little while longer when she realized something, she didn’t know his name and he certainly didn’t know hers. Gathering up her courage one more time Yuki proceeded to ask him what his name was. “A-ano Namae wa nan desu ka? It took a moment for Yuki to realize that once again she had spoke in Japanese. So trying again Yuki asked again, this time in English. “Um..W-what’s y-y-your n-name?”

Alucard waited to see if she was going to ask him for anything else for a moment after she had given him a nod in reply to when he asked. He was about to head back and read when she suddenly asked him something in what he guessed was japanesse. He wondered what she had asked for a moment before she asked him again in English. She seemed to want to know what his name was.
" Ah yes, I should have told you first thing. My name is Alucard. And what might your name be my young rabbit?" Alucard said to her in reply. " If you don't wish to tell, you do not have to."
Alucard waited for her reply, and he honestly didn't mind if she didn't tell him. He already had a name for her as it was anyways, so even if he knew her real name it wouldn't help him much unless he needed to ask around to find her for some odd reason. The likelihood of Alucard looking for anyone by asking around was low truthfully. He just didn't like talking to the sheep and getting two different versions of each story from every individual person.

Usagi? Why did he call her usagi? Yuki slightly tilted her head when Alucard called her rabbit. Was this an American thing that she didn’t know, nicknaming people you didn’t know as animals? Yuki decided to just shake it off as some sort of strange American custom. Yuki then proceeded to answer his question. “I-I’m Yuki.” Yuki was proud of herself. She was actually able to answer one of his questions the first time in English. So what if she still stuttered at least it was in the same language.
After she told him her name Yuki went back to watching the clouds, thinking about what had just gone on. This was probably the most she had spoken to someone she didn’t know at school. Usually when a situation like this happened to her she would hyperventilate so bad she couldn’t speak, sometimes she would even pass out when someone tried to get her to say something. Although when she thought about it the reason she probably could say so much to him was because he didn’t seem to expect her to answer. Whether she answered or not seemed to be up to her, and if she didn’t he didn’t care. Thats probably why she felt more comfortable around him then some of the other people st the school.

Alucard waited for the girl to tell him her name, if she was going to. She was still as nervous as ever, but she told him her name in english the first time around this time. He didn't care if she had stuttered it, but she had told him her name was Yuki. He thought that was a nice name, but he was still going to refer to her as rabbit. He adjusted the name he had first given her and decided to go with shy rabbit since she was far more shy then he first thought. She started to look up at the sky again. He figured that was his queue to go back to his stand. He looked at her for a moment though.
" I hope you enjoy sweets Yuki, because I'll bring you back some dessert on the house." Alucard said to her. " If you need anything else while I'm getting it ready just let me know."
Alucard went back to the stand and started getting the batter to make something he had invented for the stand using the idea of crepes as a base ready. He mixed up the batter and started to get it cooking on the flat iron top. He pulled out some filling and mixed cherry, strawberry, and grape together and put it on one side of the cooking batter and then flipped the other side over it. He let it cook for a moment before he flipped the whole thing over to cook on that side. Once he judged it to be done, he got it off and put it on a plate. He grabbed a plastic fork and put it on the plate and took it out to her. He set it in front of her.
" Hold up one moment before you dig in." Alucard said to her. " Now then tell me when there is enough powdered sugar on top to your taste."
Alucard started to sprinkle powdered sugar on the top of it till she told him there was enough. He just gave her a nod this time and left her to eat her dessert in peace as he went back to the stand to read.

Post by Hadley Van Horn on Aug 21, 2011 22:40:48 GMT -5
Hadley was out in the middle of summer fest, as usual she had a soccer ball tucked securely under her, she could always be found with some sort of sports object on her person. She was currently making her way through the many crowds of summer fest looking for a not so crowded place to play soccer, one of her favorite sports second only to track. She was looking for a place that she could at least play around and maybe get some practice in.
That was one thing she missed about her old school, the one before she came to Xavier’s, unlike here they had a soccer team, and a track team. Oh well she could still play around even if she couldn’t be in a real game.
Finding a nice secluded spot Hadley looked around, and seeing this place mostly secluded, there was only a girl behind her to the right. Hadley placed her ball on the ground, taking a few steps back Hadley then ran forward and kicked the ball as hard as she could, right into a wall. The ball bounced backwards towards her and she ducked causing the ball to fly right into an open stall. Crap.

Alucard had gone back to the stall and started reading when he heard a loud thump. He glanced up to see a ball come flying towards his nice and neat kitchen and about to ruin it. He reacted to the ball and managed to catch it with one hand before it could fly into and mess everything up. He walked back to where he was sitting earlier to set the ball down on the ground before sitting back down to read again. He was a little annoyed someone would do something as stupid as kick a ball in this area. It was obvious nothing good would happen if you did, so whoever did it was lucky nothing had happened. He knew whoever owed the ball would come for it eventually. He was just going to have to wait and scold them when they came for it.
Alucard was just sitting behind the stand reading a book and his stand was perfectly fine. There was no sign anything bad almost happened to the stand and that he had to move earlier. The owner of the ball would have to approach the stand though to even notice that the ball hadn't done any damage.
