Like Shakaku, Gisli was pretty dry, especially for being exposed to the rain for as long as she had. Being close to a pyromancer certainly had it's advantages. Still, she'd been out in the rain so long that she'd literally been chilled to the bone as hypothermia started to set in. With Shakaku around though, there wasn't much need to worry about the condition as long as he was paying attention.
The teenage girl had gone deathly pale from blood loss, but it seemed she might be on the road to recovery now that she was getting the medical care she needed. The next hour was spent getting her in the clear, the whole time Hazel letting Shakaku stay and be by Gisli's side. The older women knew how he must be feeling, and separating them would only worry him even more. Actually, he might even get dangerous if he was separated from Gisli.
Finally, Hazel moved Gisli, and by default Shakaku, into one of the private rooms they used for longer term patients. She left the door open a crack, in case she were needed, then left, giving the teenagers some space.
Gisli remained unconscious the whole time, even after Hazel gave her a medication to help with the shock. Her breathing and heart rate had regulated, her trembling finally stopped. The machines in the room were set up to monitor her heart rate and blood pressure, an IV set up, steadily replacing the blood she had lost.

*Unfortunately Shakaku knew that there was no true way of him staying forever. He had to go to class…witch he would probably sluff anyway. He had lots to think about. Once in the room alone with Gisli Shakaku stood looking down at her. He softly kissed her forehead. He stayed focusing on her body tempereature but released her hand. He moved into a croner. Crouching on the balls of his feet, placing his head behind his bent knees, wrapping his arms around his legs.*
*He wondered what would have happened if he had gone out before. What would have happened if he confronted the one who did this to her? Would he have gotten in bad condition too? With himself and Gisli left for dead? Now he really didn’t know what to do, other than keep Gisli’s body at a safe temperature. But neglecting his own temperature. His was a little higher than his normal temperature but that wasn’t a big worry for him. He was fairly use to “being hot.”* *He wondered what Freya would do if she knew where he was and what he was doing. He wasn’t sulking…he was trying to focus. For an obvious reason, seeing Gisli like that just make him want to…to…to kill something…or someone.*

If Gisli were conscious, she’d actually beg him to stay, tell him to ask Hazel to excuse him from his classes so he could stay with her. Even unconscious she was terrified. Every once in a while, even Shakaku might be able to tell that as the monitor would pick up her heart racing for a few moments before settling down once again.
Somehow, the girl seemed to know when Shakaku wasn’t right by her side, her heart beat picking up a frantic pounding. Unlike before it didn’t return to normal, but at least it wasn’t beating fast enough to be dangerous… Just a simple sign that she was more than aware of suddenly being alone. Her sudden increase in fear was enough to make her mind reach out to touch the nearest possible person, Shakaku obviously, and start to share her fear.
It was… Intense to say the least. Shakaku’s heart would feel like it was going to pound straight out of his chest. He would feel like… Like he was running for his life, that someone was after him that he couldn’t stop, and this person had a taste for his blood… The emotion was probably foreign to him, but he’d know that he was experiencing Gisli’s own fear…. Probably the same fear she’d experienced before he found her…

*Shakaku thought it odd that the hart monoter was beeping quicker than it used to be. He looked curiously at his sleeping girlfriend then at the door, wondering if he should get Hazel. But he thought it was fairly normal. Her heart rate would slow down again soon…right?*
*When Gisli’s heart rate stayed at a quick pace he stood up, instantly feeling the strange emotions. He knew it was her. He quickly moved up to Gisli and moved a chair closer to the bed. One of Shakaku’s hands grabbed his chest trying to cool down his hart, anything to slow it down. Stumbeling a little as he did, but finally sitting down he grabbed onto her hand once again.* Gisli, it’s alright. I’m here. Don’t you remember? I told you I wouldn’t leave you. *Thinking back on the imotions that he felt he had a feeling that Gisli had known that she was going to die, also that she was spontaneously attacked. But he tried not to dwell to much on the emotions, they made him want to destroy something, let loose just once. Where was Freya when he needed her?*
*He focused, waiting for her power to release him. He kept almost perfect control of the temperature around, even Gisli’s and his own. Taking a few deep breaths he clamed himself down, his hands still shaking.*

Even with Shakaku back it took longer then expected for her heartbeat to finally return to an acceptable pace. Sadly, it took even longer for her emotions to get under control. Actually, they didn’t seem to be calming at all, as if she were far to wrapped up in them to break away. Only when she heard Shakaku speak… Did a change seem to happen. The emotions were weaker, but still remained. They were manageable, but still present… And probably would be for a very long time to come. After all… Gisli didn’t handle stress like that very well. It would haunt her for who knows how long!
Finally, her power seemed to let go of it’s hold on Shakaku. Slowly… Very slowly, she started to come to. At first it was just the hand he held twitching a little before weakly returning the hold. A few moments later, her eyes reluctantly fluttered open, her gaze unfocused as she stared up at the sheet white ceiling. At last though, she moved again, her head turning just enough that she could look at Shakaku. She smiled weakly when she saw him. “… Hey…” Her voice cracked a little. Her smile vanished, as her eyes closed, a few tears escaping. “I’m sorry…. That I’m so weak..” This wouldn’t have happened if she’d just been stronger…

*Shakaku did his best to ignore Gisli’s power, he had to stay calm. He knew that it she were to wake up and become more calm she had to see that he was calm. Unfortunately Shakaku knew how Gisli handled stress. She may never trust that type of person again. Even the gender of the body type, she may shy away from….maybe even for the rest of her life. He wanted to be there for her. Help her through this as best he could.*
*Letting a soft sigh go as the power vanished completely. When he felt her hand hold onto his he squeezed it softly. To let her know that he was here. That was stupid…She already knew that he was here, why did he do that? He was such an idiot.*
*And then her eyes opened! He gave a small, some what mischievous looking smile. He was glad that she was awake. He was feeling a little awkward talking to a sleeping body.* How are you feeling? *That too was a stupid question. He knew how she was feeling. She had just been jumped by some stranger, then thrown over the gate and left for dead.*
Don’t be sorry Gisli. It’s alright. I’m….I’m just glad you’re alright now.

Shakaku was right in assuming she would probably never openly trust anyone remotely similar to that man. Sadly… Logan was somewhat similar, so even he would fall victim to her mistrust. Wait… Logan… That’s who the man had been looking for…
His presence was far more then reassuring. Hazel probably would have had to sedate the small teenager if he hadn’t been there. She wouldn’t have stayed calm alone. And seeing that smile of his…. The one she had become so familiar with.. Made her smile a little again.
How are you feeling?
His question made her smile vanish again. She wasn’t supposed to be alive… He’d left her for dead… But… How? How was she still alive? “How am I alive…?” Of course she was glad to be alive! It’s just… Well, when you are so convinced that you were going to die, like she was, you tended to be a little shocked when you didn’t. “How did I get here…?” She couldn’t remember anything while she was in shock, him finding and carrying her… Nothing.
She must have been on some pretty heavy drugs, because she still felt pretty numb. She could imagine though, that if she hadn’t been drugged that she’d be withering in pain right now.

*Shakaku was glad to see Gisli smiling but it quick to vanish as he asked the question. He knew he shouldn’t have asked that. He could be such an idiot. Gisli's smile was one of the best things that Shakaku could think of right now. He looked down, not wanting to make eye contact. He was worried that if he mentioned to much then she may go back into shock.* Hazel stitched you up and gave you some pills and such. *He wasn’t exactly sure what she had done, but it had worked.* Your phone called me and I ran and found you. I then brought her here to the infirmary. * Gisli’s eyes probably weren’t to focused on detail or she would have seen Shakaku’s shirt stained with now dry blood. It had come onto the front of his shirt, but it was mostly on the back.*
*Shakaku hoped that she didn’t feel to much pain, if any. Those were some pretty nasty wounds she had gotten from the stranger who hand done this to her. Maybe he would find out by observing who she shied away from. She would for sure be terrified of people like the jumper.*

“…. Oh….” Gisli wasn’t to sure what to think of that, other than relief. Pure relief. She couldn’t even express the strong emotion. Sadly, she couldn’t share it with him either, seeing as her power only let her manipulate negative emotions, and relief wasn’t negative… When she noticed that he wasn’t looking at her though, she blinked, trying to figure out why. Slowly she reached over with her free hand to lightly touch his cheek. “Am I really in that bad of shape..?” She smiled softly again, knowing he’d probably look at her as he tried to convince her otherwise.
She saw the blood on his shirt. There was a lot, more then she thought would have been possible. That was all hers? Slowly she started to take in the rest of the room. The screen monitoring her heart rate and blood pressure, the IV… Okay, she really was in as bad of shape as she thought…. “It’s times like these that make me want to believe in God… Then I remember how much work that would be, and decide not to…” Oh yes, she was most definitely drugged. Gisli wouldn’t have said that otherwise! It was actually kind of cute. Drugged, random, Gisli…

*Shakaku happily accepted Gisli’s hand on his face, and looked up at her.* No, I just can’t believe that this happened to you, and I couldn’t have been there to protect you. *That thought made Shakaku angry, passionately angry. But he would be a good boy…for now. Being with Gisli made all the devilish thoughts almost all the way disappear. But to be honest, she did look pretty bad.*
*Shakakuk smiled. He didn’t believe in a higher being, but he was fine with people who did believe. But he knew Gisli well enough to know that she was probably high on the pain killers that Hazel had given her. But she was really cute like this. At least she wasn’t hurting.*
*Shakaku really didn’t know what to say to make Gisli feel better. He wasn’t good at this. He was never good at this. He was better with over blowing and beating someone up. Breaking bones, giving burns, things like that.* You should get some rest. You need that energy to heal it yourself. *He leaned forward and softly kissed Gisli’s forehead. Sitting back down and softly smiled at her. True she looked bad, from the injuries, but she was still beautiful.*

Gisli smiled a little. It looked far to cheerful then it should, but that was the drugs. "You'd be in just as bad if you were, and then we'd both be left for dead." Shakaku might think she was exaggerating, but she really wasn't. That man...
She looked deep in thought, trying to recall what had happened. The drugs made it difficult. "There was.... Something important..." She strained, in so much that she'd probably give herself a headache. "Dammit.... Why can't I remember...." Stupid trauma. It made her remember the attack far better then what had been said. She was silent for several moments, still straining. "Logan... Something to do with Logan..." A few more moments of silence. "I think... He wanted to make Logan angry...." Either way, it sounded like even if Gisli hadn't been attacked, one of the students would have. This man had come with a purpose.
Gisli scowled a little when he kissed her forehead, much like you would a child. Sure, she didn't look all that old to begin with, and wasn't all that against forehead kisses.... But this was her boyfriend for crying out loud! She'd much rather get a real kiss from her. She fixed him with a stern stare, not saying anything, but it wouldn't be hard for him to figure out why he was getting mentally scolded....

*Shakaku sighed, knowing that it was a true fact. But on the other hand, if they both had survived, Freya would likely finish Shakaku off, for not being able to handle the mutant. No matter the situation…well maybe. He trusted Gisli, she knew more than he did and he wouldn’t doubt her for one second.*
*He let her think, figuring that it would be something important that if he spoke, it would ruin her train of thought. Hearing that it had to do with Logan he got up and went to the door. Telling Hazel what she had told him. Telling her that the mutant that attacked Gisli wanted to make Logan mad. He knew that there was nothing that he could do right now, except stay by Gisli’s side, but maybe Hazel could use this information for some good.*
*Shakaku saw Gisli’s glare as he pulled away. He knew he shouldn’t have done that. It was stupid. He was so bad at this. He had never had a girlfriend before Gisli, and was never really good about keeping good friends. Kaitou was his only friend other than Gisli. But thinking for a little bit he thought that Gisli was probably not bad about the kiss, but about the place. As an apology he leaned forward, getting close to Gisli’s face and kissing her gently on her lips, is body temperature warmer than normal, even for him.*

Even without him saying it, Gisli knew he was ‘somewhat’ agreeing. He might be a pyromancer, but he was still inexperienced, and wild. He’d probably have gotten way to hotheaded in the heat of the moment. But… At least he could have done some serious damage to the attacker and not just messed with his emotions….
It seemed to take Shakaku longer than expected to figure out just what she was trying to say. She might be pretty dense, but sometimes? Sometimes he could be even more so. It seemed like he thought she was mad about the kiss in general. It made her scowl for a moment longer. In the end though, he finally seemed to figure it out. How it’d taken him so long, she’d never know. She wouldn’t ask either, her shy nature stopping her from asking something so bold.
Gisli softly kissed him back when he finally took the hint. Of course she noticed his almost…. Well feverish temperature. It was kind of hard not to! When they broke it, she just stared at him, curiosity and…. Slight concern on her face. She might be in pretty bad shape, but after realizing how warm he was, she was worried. Slowly she reached up again, this time pressing her cooler fingers to his forehead. “Do you have a fever…?”

*Shakaku thought it was funny how Gisli always got what she wanted, even thought Shakaku was the “bully of the school.” He always did what she wanted. He wasn’t complaining, he just thought it was funny. If it were up to him they would be spending as much time, alone, with each other as possible. But Gisli was a good student, so she actually went to all her classes, and she even paid attention. This was very unlike Shakaku, he barely went to class, was tardy all the time, and when he was there, he was doing his own thing. His grades were…less desirable, but it was funny that a good student like Gisli was with an almost failing student who was “to lazy to do his homework.” *
*Shakaku wondered why Gisli was looking at him that way… was it because his temperature was a little off. He was getting better with his temperature control, but he wasn’t the best…yet. He pulled slightly back, feeling the cold touch of her fingers on his skin, but moving back allowing her to touch him. He snickered at the irony. He had always asked her that when he was more…naive. But in all actuality she was blushing. It’s just he could sense the heat in her face, he was…well naïve. * No I don’t have a fever Gisli. I’m fine. *He just thought it was the fact that he was so close, and was being passionate ot Gisli, he lowered his temperature back to his normal and smiled at her. * See, it was just me forgetting to keep complete control over my power. *
*But then he thought of the time he was practicing temperature control a few nights ago. He left the window open, and it was a fairly cold night. He, for the first time, actually started to shiver once or twice. *

It wasn’t that Gisli ‘always got what she wanted’, quite the opposite, actually. Shakaku was just much more accommodating then everyone else. He did basically everything she asked just to make her happy, just like she’d do just about everything he asked to make him happy. Strangely though, he didn’t make many requests.
Shakaku wasn’t much of a blusher, so she didn’t think it could be a blush bringing on his sudden feverish temperature. Of course, he was a Pyromancer… So maybe he was just keeping it higher then he usually did? But he was pretty good about keeping it at a reasonable level! Just like that though, he lowered it as soon as he seemed aware of the ‘fever’ he’d created. Maybe it was just a coincidence….. “Okay…” Or, maybe he really was sick. Either way, they’d find out soon enough.
A few moments of silence passed, and she let her hand drop from his face and onto one of his hands. It wasn’t nearly as graceful as it should have been, hinting at the drugs trying to bring her back under. But she wasn’t giving in, not yet… She’d only been awake a few minutes after all!
