He saw that fury in her eyes and it only made him grin more. That was the reaction he wanted out of her. And it would be a reaction he'd hunt her down for in the future. Oh he wasn't lying..he didn't leave someone alive for nothing.
He withstood the struggle, the hits and kicks she gave to him...well it was annoying. But he got to do what he wanted and that kept the evil grin plastered on his face. He stepped away from her then, letting her stand on her own. He took a step back and rose his hands in the air as if he was surrendering...though she couldn't see that. "I do say....Can't change a mark like that Dearie." He chuckled deeply. The fact that she could never forget him...that she would be plagued by the thought of him anytime she saw or felt that scar that would surely develop. Oh that torment alone made him the happiest psychopath on earth. But even he wasn't sure how exactly she'd react to that...other than the obvious pissed look on her face. But a wound like that wasn't going to help her in terms of revenge...at least at the moment.

Even with out seeing him, she could almost sense his satisfaction. If she'd known this was exactly the reaction he'd wanted, she would have forced herself not to react, just to spite him. Strangely though, if she'd known he'd track her now, and not the opposite, she actually would have relished the challenge.
When she was released, she scowled slightly. She didn't do anything though, because, unlike him she had to worry about what injuries she got. And from experience she knew that this current injury wasn't life threatening... As long as she took care of it quickly. Otherwise it could cause serious problems, if only because of blood loss. Hearing what she said, she kept scowling. "Is that what it's for then? Proof that I'm yours?" The idea was.... foreign... But it definitely irritated her. Intentionally marking her as a forever reminder...
After a few moments though she smirked, and shrugged. "Well, if I ever get fed up with it, I could always get a tattoo over it. Wouldn't be the first." Not the first tattoo at least. Actually, she had quite a few, including one on the side of her face that happened to be covered with a very good concealer...

"Tattoo that all you want Bunny. Still isn't going to hide it." He smirked and took a step towards her again, but this time he reached for her arm. Strangely he was rather gentle as he moved his hand down to her fore arm and pulled her from the wall of the cave. He was satisfied with his new triumph and decided to be nice. Has hell frozen over? He let go of her arm once she stood away from the wall and put his arm under hers but leaving his arm in the middle of the air. This way she still could use him for balance, if she so chose, but didn't have to basically use him as a crutch. Not to mention he was a little tall for that.
He started to lead the way back out of the cave, letting her use his arm. He knew she wouldn't let him either carry her out of the cave or give any real assistance...so he just let her use his arm for balance if she desired. After all a wound like that would have her at least limping, and if she didn't tend to it soon...that could be one nasty infection. And then of course that would lead to a long time without being able to sit. Seeing that would just make Victor laugh though.

He.... Had a point. A tattoo would only do so much.... Still, maybe getting one would be fun, if only because it'd be her way of mocking him. "Who knows, we'll just have to see, wont we?" She heard that step, and waited for whatever it was he planned to do this time. Pulling her away from the rock though.... That wasn't expected. Especially how careful he was. It looked like this psychopathic giant did have a gentle side... Even if it was buried very deep inside him.
She instantly tested the leg, seeing if it would take the weight. Pain shot up her leg, yet it held, and she refused to show any sign of the pain. She closed her eyes for a moment, reaffirming her resolve to stay that bone cold she'd been taught her whole life. Never show pain or weakness. Her eyes opened.
As he started to lead her own, she refused any help he offered. Help meant weakness, and the weak were killed in this world. Of course she limped, not nearly as much as would be expected, her resolve forcing herself to hide most of it. She'd fought through broken bones! A few scratches were nothing....

Well she couldn't say that he didn't try to be nice. He rolled his eyes a little as she refused his help and he went on ahead. If she didn't want his help then she wasn't going to get it. He walked down through the cave, reaching the entrance before he turned around to see how well she'd manage. He had faith in her but stubbornness was easily a trait that got people in trouble.
He folded his arms across his chest as he waited for her to wander out of the cave. He assumed it would take awhile with the limping and all. But while he waited he had to decide what he was going to do with her now. Would he just leave and go back to what he was doing? Or would he try to help her a little more? She obviously wouldn't take it...and really he didn't want to give it. As much as there was a nice side somewhere in that psychotic brain of his, he was far from the hand holding type.
"You gonna be all right Bunny? Hate to find you dead in the forest somewhere without me being the cause of it.." Well...he technically would be the cause of it...but he liked to be a more...direct cause of such things.

Merfonde just ignored him as he passed on, heading out first. She was fine with that. His help was unnecessary, after all. It wasn't that she was intentionally heartless about the whole thing, she'd just been brought up in a fashion that told her to only rely on herself. Most definitely, she wasn't one of those Bounty Hunters that chose this career because they were good at it. She was raised to be a Bounty Hunter, plain and simple.
She was faster then you would expect, especially when she was able to see again. And there he was, waiting outside for her. His question made her smile a little. "You really think I'd die from this?" Just to prove her point she glanced down at where she knew the wound was, instantly seeing ripped jeans.... That had been dyed red from the blood. "I'm not that easy to kill..." With out even thinking, she unconsciously reached up to touch the long, thin scar at the base of her neck. Someone of his... expertise would recognize it was from an attempted decapitation. She wasn't kidding about being hard to kill... It wasn't often someone could walk away from that kind of wound.
Her hand suddenly dropped as she looked back at him, smirking. "Are you that worried about my wellbeing?" Probably he was more worried about her dieing on him before he grew tired of her.

Victor remained in that spot with arms folded. He watched as she walked out of the cave then gave a shrug to her. "I know that you're tough, but gangreen isn't pretty." He chuckled to his bad joke. "Though if you want a prove a point I could always give a matching mark to the other side." He grinned to her, he liked that idea afterall.
"But unless you want to 'play' some more..." He gave a very suggestive smirk to her before he turned to the direction that he had left his jacket. He wasn't going to leave that behind. "I'll see you around Bunny." That wasn't a threat either, that was a promise. He'll just have to add her to the list of visits he gives people he 'loves'. Logan of course was on the top of that list. Which reminded him, it was almost the Runt's 'birthday'. He'd leave her to her own devices. Whether he'd keep an eye on her while she was still in the forest or not was something he'd keep to himself. He walked away at a non-hurried pace so she had every opportunity to stop him if she so chose.

Merfonde suddenly scowled. "I won't get gangreen." Maybe she was overly stubborn about this, but she seemed like the type of person who didn't let things like that happen. Ever. "I think one set is enough. Not to mention I doubt a second would be as pretty as the first." She smiled, her tone sarcastic again.
Unlike before, she stayed silent. Of course this wouldn't be their last encounter. She had a score to settle, after all. And he didn't seem like the type to give up the chase after only one encounter. Finally though, she smirked, shaking her head. "I'll be waiting." And she would... She'd most definitely keep an eye out for him.
They were done for the day. She had this wound to attend to, and he had... Who knew what. Whatever he'd come here for. He was heading in one direction, and she headed in another, off to where she'd stashed her pack. She didn't bother going back for her dagger. He could keep it as his own souvenir, if he wanted it. She didn't let herself relax as she returned to her starting point, pulling the tan bag from the brush she'd stuffed it in and swinging it over her shoulder. Slowly, she left to get her injury taken care of.
