Okay.... That.... Didn't go according to plan. At all. She hadn't taken his pain tolerance into consideration, and simply cracking the bone didn't do any good. Even worse was that once you took the healing factor into consideration, he could recover from it far to quickly for her taste. Still, with a power like his, it would definitely keep things interesting....
"Apparently my fangs aren't sharp enough..." His grip suddenly tightened, followed by another faster then normal grab, this time for her neck. With that grip on her hair it wasn't possible to avoid anything. She scowled, gritting her teeth as she was lifted off of her feet, her gaze dark as she glared at him. She'd been right to worry about his size and strength...
He was moving, off towards the lake, his hand on her hair finally dropping. Her own hand released his, her mind reeling with possibilities for escape. Finally, she decided. Twisting slightly, she bent one of her legs back, the one with the hidden dagger, so she could yank it free with the closest hand. With no hesitation, she drove the blade up and around, right into the muscles of his wrist. It wasn't just a quick swipe though, she jabbed it with the intent, and the force, to sever the muscles, and hopefully render the hand useless a time.

A roar came from him as he felt that metal slide through his wrist. The girl had some determination, he'd give her that. The pain in his wrist was enough to let her go, dropping her to the ground as he took a step or two back himself.
He took the moment to recover only so that he could actually pull the blade from his wrist. But now he had her weapon. He smirked a bit as he watched the blood pour from the wound while it worked on healing itself. He threw the dagger down, letting the blade sink into the dirt. What did he need with it? His claws were million times sharper than that measly blade.
"Not a bad move...but at this rate I think you're just flirting with me." That smirk remained on his face as he moved to go after her again. Quickly closing the distance between them so that he could grab her again. But instead of doing any really damage he flung her...straight for a tree. At this rate he was probably going to have to claw her up pretty good...and what kind of pretty corpse would that be? And that wasn't a very suitable present either. Hmm...maybe he'd have to let out some sexual aggression first...then kill her...

The first thing on Merfonde's mind once she was dropped was put a small distance between them, so he wouldn't be able to get another grip on her, at least not easily. She'd underestimated his speed once already, she wasn't going to do it again. Her mind was hard at work already. Getting free had cost her her only dagger. Smart. Even worse? Hand to hand had already been ruled as only an inconvenience for him. It would only be effective to a degree. Not to mention he was healing faster then expected...
Still, Merfonde didn't look worried. A determined glint was in her eyes, a small smile on her lips. "Flirting? Interesting. I stab you and you call it flirting..." She chuckled. Perhaps this was what he considered as flirting? A dangerous dance...
Dammit! That speed still through her off! With out enough distance she'd only moved a few feet before he was on her. This time though, instead of that choke hold he'd used before, he'd thrown her. Ugh. She felt like a rag doll. She twisted her body so she would hit the tree with her palms, absorbing the shock. She rolled away from the tree and into a crouch, suddenly she was smirking even wider then before. Her hands were a little scrapped up from the bark, but otherwise seemed completely fine. "If this is 'flirting', shouldn't you be trying to catch me? Instead of giving me the opportunity for escape." Her eyebrows lifted in a taunting manner. The way she spoke, that look on her face, it actually looked, and sounded like she was having fun. With out any hesitation she bolted, darting into the thicker brush. He might be fast, unusually fast for someone his size, but her smaller frame made her agile. Like he had nicknamed her, she really was a bunny, weaving through the trees, retreating into thicker and thicker foliage.

He arched a brow as she mentioned not letting her escape. "Something tells me you aren't really trying to escape doll." He smirked as well, mostly speaking to himself since she was already running away. He made no real attempt at a chase just yet, letting her have a nice head start.
"I think I'll deserve a prize when I catch you Bunny. And I will catch you..." This time he spoke louder, knowing she'd hear him as he followed her trail. That scent was unmistakable and he would follow it easily. He smirked as he took his time. Once he entered into the brush of the forest he went on his hunt. Lowering his torso down so that he could begin a run, except this run was on all fours. If she thought he was fast before, he was even faster now. He lept up an used trees as bouncing platforms from one to another as he followed her trail. It wasn't long before he scaled a tree and started to leap from tree to tree. Once he caught up to her he'd stay quiet, letting her feel like she had lost him before he would drop down to the ground again. "Hello Bunny."

If she'd heard his first comment, she would have grinned and agreed. Of course she wasn't trying. If she'd been trying, she would have gone off in the direction of her pack, so she'd have weapons to stop him from catching her. Sure, she couldn't kill him, but he'd made it plain as day that pain could stop him... For a time. That, or she'd take a route that would let her hide her scent. Perhaps by water....
His second comment, the one he had said loud enough that she could hear, made her laugh. She didn't try to hide it. "We'll see!" She didn't have to yell. Not when he had ears like that. He'd hear it, she was sure.
She continued her quick pace, never looking over her shoulder, never trying to see if he was close or not. She wasn't stupid, looking for him would slow her down. And knowing how fast he was? She couldn't afford to slow down.
At some point, she finally did slow her pace to a walk, just so he would have the chance to catch up. There wasn't much fun if she lost him, after all! A few moments passed, the only sounds being that made by the forest itself. Until she finally heard that voice.
An entertained smirk touched her lips as she casually looked over her shoulder, taking no time at all to find him. "Greetings don't count as catching." Still smirking she trailed her fingers across the rough bark of the nearest tree, as she circled the tree, stopping just before she vanished from sight, her gaze never leaving him.

If that wasn't a 'come hither' look he didn't know what was. But he wasn't dumb enough to think with that 'other brain' first. He'd follow after her slowly, a wicked smirk showing off a fang as he did. "Oh I told you I'd catch you."
And in a moment he sprang forward, counting on catching her off guard before she could react to his movement. But he'd let her run still, curious to see if she'd pull any tricks out for him. But as he moved passed that tree she was sauntering around he used his hand to push off of it. When he did that those adamantium claws dug into the tree and left a deep claw marks against the bark. Just a hint at what those metal claws could do.
Another little chase could ensue but he was getting tired of running. As fast as he was and with how much stamina he had...still didn't add up to being bored. So as soon as he had the chance he leapt for her...planning to tackle her to the ground. Of course such a leap didn't always work out as planned.

"Saying and doing are two completely different things."
Merfonde could be flirtatious, when she wanted to be. That didn't mean she'd give up the fight though. Quite the opposite. Her distaste in men before now had been infamous, and those rare few who got past her initial hatred had to work for her affections. True, it could be cruel, but Merfonde just called it tough love.
Still smirking, she vanished behind the tree, her hand dropping to her side as she stepped away, expect to to see him follow. And soon enough, there he was, digging those claws of his into the tree. Another friendly reminder at just how easy it would be for him to rip flesh, if given the chance... Would he though? Merfonde wasn't sure. Part of her expected him to, while the other part only remained wary, reminding her that he 'might' try to kill her. Still, only time would tell.
She saw him coming this time, that strong leap into the air, the way he planned on catching her then and there. That sly smirk was back. She'd have none of that. Quickly and gracefully she skipped away, just out of reach. She put those few feet between them again, chuckling softly. "You missed."

He growled as he felt dirt under his claws. His hand raked against the ground, those claws were getting hungry. He remained in that 'pounce' position, resting on feet and hands before he glanced over to her. He noticed that confident look on her face. He smirked back at her while slowly rising to his feet. He dusted off those clawed hands and rolled his shoulders.
Lucky for her he didn't really want to claw her to pieces. Part of him wanted to ruin that pretty face...but the part that thought it was indeed a pretty face was winning out. It was then that he took his jacket off. He pulled it from his body and dropped it rather neatly on the ground. The white t-shirt under that jacket could be seen now, revealing the outline of those muscles underneath. "I'll give you another head start Bunny." Would that intimidate her? He wasn't going for that...he was going for maneuverability. He turned his head side to side, loud cracks being heard while he loosened himself up a bit. But then again he lied a little as he turned and leapt for her again just in case she didn't take the chance to run.

For some reason, she thought the whole growling into the dirt was actually kind of cute, like a puppy that was getting mildly annoyed with the cat it was trying to chase. Of course he wouldn't be to happy that she'd avoided his tackle, but all was fair in this game. And she wasn't going to make this easy. She just waited as he stood once more, as if she had all the time in the world.
She'd already known he was strong, but seeing those muscles only reassured her of that fact. Much stronger then her. And while she was stronger then others, she couldn't even compete with him. Still, she smirked. "Well then, I'd best not waste it." Again, she chuckled a little. As she started to move away she heard the cracking of his stretches. Followed by....
Merfonde leaped out of the way, and just in time. She rolled when she hit the ground, quickly returning to her feet with the skill of an acrobat. With out a moment to spare she was off again. This time she sped off in the straightest, cleanest path she could. Her winding before hadn't slowed him down at all, he'd used the trees. All she'd done was slow herself down. Now it was time to see just how much distance she could get when running flat out.

She was lucky he was still being entertained by this little chase. But when he caught her...well even he wasn't sure what he was going to do. For some reason he didn't really want to tear her to shreds...and they were too far from the lake now. Hm...he had this problem with Birdy too. Oh well...what was the point of thinking of such things right now. He had to catch his bunny.
He took off after her, her straight line making it easy to keep up. Except that he trailed a few feet behind...giving his prey a nice false pretense of success. He'd let her run...and run....and run. Waiting to notice a change in her pace and lapse in her stamina. Not that Victor didn't feel it himself...but he wasn't going to give in until he had his claws on her.
Suddenly he wasn't behind her anymore. He ducked to the side running through the tree line next to her until he could get ahead. Moments later he headed her off, stopping right in front of her in an attempt to get her to slam right into him. It would be like hitting a brick wall...only a little bit softer. "Can't keep this up forever my little Bunny."

Like before, she had no desire to look over her shoulders. She knew he was close. Unlike before, she really didn't have a head start. Maybe a second or two, but he was fast. Those few seconds wouldn't mean anything to him. With how easily he'd caught up last time, it was safe to assume he was faster then her...
Merfonde had quite a bit of stamina, perhaps not as much as Victor, but it was definitely above average. Still, running in the rough terrain of forests took it's toll after a while. Of course she was starting to tire... Somehow though, there were no visible signs of her growing exhaustion. Victor still hadn't tried to stop her though... So she kept running...
His sudden appearance actually surprised her, instead of surprise though, she just smiled. He was to close though.... To close to stop in time and avoid the collision. That didn't mean she had any desire to run straight into him! With out even thinking, her footwork shifted, the woman spinning on one foot, allowing her to maneuver just enough to avoid him. She skidded to a stop then, softly panting as she stood only a few feet to his right. "Your bunny?" She chuckled softly. "Since when?"

He smirked to that question. Of course he was rather surprised that she managed to twirl her way around him. She could be pretty fast on her feet when she wanted to be it seemed. His eyes watched her as she rested there. She was winded and yet he didn't show any signs of stopping either. That wound in his wrist having long been healed up as he turned his body to face hers. "Since I smelled you..." That smirk remained as he took a few steps towards her.
He wasn't sure if she would flee again, but he watched her carefully. The closer he got the more tense his muscles became. He really didn't want to run after her again...and so he had to be quick. He lunged forward quickly again, reaching out for her arms. Better chances to grab one if he went for both of them.
With her in his grip he pulled her to him, quickly maneuvering to pin her against a tree. He used to sheer body size to his advantage as he sandwiched her between him and the tree. This time though he grabbed both of her hands and pinned them above her head. A growl was given from his throat to her, "My Bunny..."

For now, Merfonde just waited, watching him carefully. If she had to bolt again, she wanted to atleast catch her breath first! This time though.... She knew he wouldn't let her get that chance. He was done with their game of Cat and Mouse. His comment made her smile, as if saying 'really?'. She didn't say anything verbally though. There didn't seem to be any need to.
Seeing his muscles coil... Merfonde tried to leap out of the way. But there was that unbelievable speed of his. She realized her mistake. She was to close, right in his area. To close, and you didn't escape. Not with Victor... In the seconds that followed she found herself a ragdoll again, the giant doing what he wanted. The bark on her back dug into fabric and skin, but Mero didn't seem to mind, all her attention was on Victor. He was smarter this time, with a grip on her hands and his body locking her in place there was absolutely no chance of escape. Not this time. At least.... Not unless she could somehow free her hands. "And what, pray tell, are you going to do now that you caught me?" Her voice was low, whispery even. There was no point speaking any louder. Not in this current... situation.

"What any predator does to their prey." He grinned a little as he spoke softly to her, his voice rumbling almost like a growl onto its self. "Eat them." A deep chuckle followed that with a sinister twinge to it. Just what was he up to? Did he plan to literally eat her? No... Victor was crazy but not that crazy...least not yet. There was always room for improvement in insanity.
No he was thinking more figuratively in those words. And now he took the chance to inhale her scent again. There was something in that scent of the defiant woman that urged his blood into a boil. But now that he had her at his mercy he was able to press a few more of her buttons. While his face lingered near her cheek and neck he gave a possessive little growl to her before she could feel those teeth taking a bite at her shoulder. It wasn't a hard bite by any means...he was mostly testing the field. He expected her to fight him...most women did and his muscles were tense in preparation for a fight. Hell, half the fun was the fight and they already had a good start.

Eat her? That..... Was a first. Even for her! Again, she was torn on what to think. Part of her didn't seem at all convinced that he would be above Cannibalism, not with those animal instincts, especially considered quite a few species actually were cannibalistic. The other part though reassured her that she, and just about everyone else in the world, would know if this man had true cannibalistic desires. "I see...." She spoke just as she had before.
Merfonde just closed her eyes then, waiting for whatever it was he planned on doing. Again, though, he was smelling her, as if fixated on her scent. Why, she would never know. It did provide an interesting question though, when she left, or escaped, whichever it was, what was the chance of him forgetting her scent? It made her smile a little. Quite interesting, indeed. Her eyes reopened right around the time he was at his closest, growling into her neck. And then.... A sudden sting.
Instantly her whole body tried to fight, tried to do something about what it considered an attack. Her arms strained for freedom, her legs fighting. A few moments later.... She stopped. Fighting wouldn't work. Not right now. Not when she was on the verge of exhaustion and he seemed capable of going on forever. All fighting did was tire her even more...
