He had to admit that the treaty between the X-Mansion and Brotherhood proved to be more beneficial then her first anticipated. Even with some mutants from the mansion running around here, he didn't seem to mind them as long as they stayed out of his way. Which they did of course.
Right now he was supervising the new "Danger Room" that he read about in the mansion's database. The thought of using real life scenario's to train his mutants seemed petty at first, but the curiosity of it won him over. It wasn't long before the first official Brotherhood Danger Room was complete and ready to be tested. He even made sure to adapt it to the alien technology of the ruins which helped keep it updated on current events and adding them to the simulations.
Again, he had to admit that the treaty between the two proved to be very beneficial. So much, in fact, that there was a part of him that believed the two could become valuable allies in the times to come. Only time would tell though, but his curiosity of the things they could learn from each other was ruling over destroying them. He heard foosteps heading his way, and smiled towards his soon to be test subject for the room.

((Thought you could use some company ^^, and seeing as someone would be contacting him sooner or later, might as well. *shrug*))
It wasn’t hard for Wicked to get into the Ruins. If anything it was far too easy. With a power like hers though… There was no such thing as obstacles. She could remove anything and everything in her path. She didn’t want to be here though. Never had she ever wanted to be at the Ruins. It was no secret that the Runaways and Brotherhood didn’t get along after all…
Wicked just sighed, shaking her head. After hearing what their most recent patient had to say though, she’d agreed to take Apocalypse a message personally. No one else was supposed to be told, and Wicked had the highest chance of surviving if the Brotherhood decided to attack her.
She was in the ruins, having melted a wall to gain entrance. The very top floor was nothing but just what they were, ruins. Down a flight of stairs though, she found herself in a very odd place. Apocalypse was there, turning to smile at her. He must have heard her footsteps. Wicked just smirked. He probably hadn’t expected to see her of all people. “I’m guessing your Apocalypse, they were right, you do have a very… distinct look to you.” She took only one step closer. “Don’t worry, I’m not here to start a fight, even though several of your subordinates seemed to have thought so.” She shrugged, as if not at all concerned with having to deal with a few of his people on the way in. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a folded up piece of paper, holding it up so he would see it. “I was told to bring this to you. Do you want it?”

His smile immediately faded when he saw who it was. Wicked, the leader of the Runaways. He narrowed his eyes at her as she smirked, telling him of how some of his subordinates tried and failed to stop her. Though the compliment about having a distinct look didn't go unhindered, he wouldn't pay her much mind. He raised a brow when she held out a letter, saying that it was suppose to be given to him and him alone.
"Let me see this."
He took the piece of paper and looked it over. He didn't pay much mind to it until he noticed the name. It was Rose, and there was a request that he see her immediately. From what he got from the letter, she was attacked by Cain and injected with something she couldn't pronounce. Apocalypse had a feeling what was going on though, and if he was right, which he hoped he wasn't, things were about to get worse as far as Cain was concerned. He gripped the paper tightly, focusing his attention on a nearby mutant.
"Finish the danger room and begin tests. I'm leaving."
He didn't say anything else, and as far as any of them were concerned, he didn't need to. The mutant was off giving orders and commands to the mutants in the room, each one putting the finishing touches before looking to see who would do the tests. Apocalypse returned his attention to Wicked.
"Take me to her."

Wicked just smirked as his smile vanished almost instantly. So he recognized her? Well, like him, she did have a rather unique look to her. After all, how many women were there with brilliant pink hair and the capability of breaking into the Brotherhood's base with out breaking a sweat?
She held the note out to him when he reached for it, letting him take it with out having to step any closer to her. After all, they didn't have much of a like for each other! The note was vague, the handwriting poor, as if it'd been a struggle to write. It only explained that Cain had attacked her and that something was in her body. The part about her going to the future and the second Cain were left out. Instead, all the note said was that there were other important things she had to tell him that she couldn't trust on paper. That alone said that whatever it was she had to say was very serious...
Wicked smiled widely when he announced that he was leaving, obviously meaning to come with her before even looking back at her. She bowed when he 'ordered' her to take him to Rose, her arms thrown out in a somewhat mocking matter. "Of course. We thought you might want to see her." She turned, heading back up the way she'd come.... Even down to the hole she'd made in the wall. She stopped there, using her power to fix the whole after he'd come through.
"I should warn you, she's not in great shape." She paused for a moment. "Scratch that. She'd in horrible shape. She's very sick, and not just physically." It wouldn't be hard to guess that Wicked was hinting at Rose starting to lose her mind. "She rarely even talks, she won't eat, drink, or even sleep. Maybe you can talk some sense into her." Wicked shrugged, only a small amount of concern in her voice.

When she bowed to him, he couldn't help but sigh. He disliked her and even the fact that she would insult him in this manor. The only thing that kept him from killing her right there was two things. One, he had to see to Rose, having a debt to pay with her since she helped stop the assault on his base months ago. Two, the runaways weren't just called that for a reason. If he killed Wicked, he would have an entire swarm of mutants to deal with, and he wasn't in the mood to deal with anything but getting his base up and running fully.
Though he was angered at the mutants still lieing around from being pummeled by Wicked, he was even more angry with her putting a hole into his wall. Thankfully she closed it up, leaving not even a scratch. He turned his attention to her as she spoke of Rose, and he only nodded. If he was right about what might be causing her to go insane, he may have a way to deal with it. He looked ahead and within moments both he and Wicked were lifting off the ground and heading off towards where the runaways were located.
"The letter mentioned of other things you wish to tell me?"

Of course Wicked knew insulting him and being her usually bitchy self was a bad idea, but it wasn't likes he cared. If he did try to kill her he'd have all the Runaways to deal with, which he knew, but he'd also learn why she was the boss. She was a force to be reckoned, after all, all she had to do to to win a fight was touch the person...
She didn't move as she and Apocalypse were lifted into the air by invisible hands, moving off in the direction of her home. If anything, she just relaxed. His question though made her sigh and shrug. "Yeah, I wish I could tell you. I only know a little more then you, so I don't think I'd be that helpful. Rose isn't that willing to share information at the moment, not until you're there. All I know, is that she knows something important. Something big enough to probably turn his whole war. For better or for worse..." Wicked paused for a moment, sighing. "I'm guessing for worse. The way she's been acting... Well, when she is somewhat fine... Well you'll understand when we get there. Let's just say that something has her terrified beyond belief." And terror wasn't an emotion that Rose displayed often... But to such a degree that she was acting the way she was? That was unheard of.

Apocalypse stayed silent as she spoke, not believing that Rose could have anything affect her to the point of fear. He had known the Nightshades long enough to know that fear wasn't in their vocabulary, nor was it in the Nightmares. One look at Wicked, however, he could tell that she was telling the truth. Something had caused Rose to go completely overboard and possibly be driven close to insanity. What had caused her to be this way, and what is it that she only wanted to tell him?
"Is this your way of telling me that the Runaways are now joining the battle?"
He had to admit having the Runaways as part of their alliance would definetly tip the balance of power in this war in their favor. With the Exiles on their side as well, it was pretty much the entire mutant world against the powers of Cain and the Nightmares. Even with an Ellwood with him at the ruins, he couldn't help but wonder if that would stop Cain from causing war with the elder families. If that were to happen, then he would no doubt have to leave this planet behind and find another suitable place to live.

Join the battle?
Wicked fixed Apocalypse with a curious stare. Sure, the Runaways weren't one the 'leading parties' when it came to the war, but didn't mean they'd been completely silent. Wicked herself had fought Cain at one point. It hadn't quite gone as planned, but she'd left with no real injuries, but a wealth of knowledge when it came to Cain's fighting style. The Runaways were just being far more patient when it came to it all...
"I suppose you could say that. We've had no real reason to hurry in eliminating Cain up until now. I am the only one among us that's even encountered him, so none have had reason for revenge. None of our people have vanished mysteriously. Up until now, we have been left completely out of this war." It was true. Even Cain seemed to be keeping himself far from the Runaways. After working up the reputation they had, no one willingly attacked them. Cain especially should be wary.
"After seeing Rose though, well, something big is happening, that much is obvious. And it’s big enough the terrify even the infamous Rose. We figured it was about time we got off our lazy asses. After all-“ She flashed a grin. “You guys need us. After how poorly things have been going, this alliance could use all the help it can get.”
“Oh, and just so you don’t get lost or anything, when we get there, Rose is in the most isolated house. What with how destructive she can get at times, we didn’t want her wrecking anything we actually use.”

"You have faced this man?"
Apocalypse looked to her when she fixed him with a stare. He had known Cain's reputation enough to where very few people faced him and either died or were never the same again either physically or mentally. Apocalypse and Xavier had both faced Cain and barely survived, and even with Xavier out of commission and his school in disarray, things were going down hill for The Alliance and fast.
"Yes, it is hard to admit but you are correct. What ever Cain is doing he has bested both myself and Xavier in one way or another. Now mutants from both factions as well as neutral mutants are disappearing. It is only a matter of time before Cain sets his focus on a few runaways."
He looked to her once again as they began to draw closer to where the Runaways were hiding out. He had to hand it to Wicked, when she wanted to make sure her team wasn't found, she did a good job. Apocalypse would've missed it completely if she didn't point it out to him. When she said that they were keeping Rose in isolation, he immediately knew that it was more serious then she first spoke of.

Wicked shrugged, as if her fight with Cain was well known. “Yeah. Once. He tried to ruin my day off.” She was smirking a little now, as if the thought of that fight made her laugh. “It was interesting, I’ll say that. Not nearly as exciting as I thought it would be. I don’t even have a scar to show for the whole thing.” She rolled her eyes. Cain hadn’t been nearly as strong as she’d thought, and she’d walked away exhausted, but with absolutely no injuries except for a few cuts. Actually… She was probably one of the only people to have survived so well.
“Exactly. Best to get rid of him before he starts pushing his luck.” Her smirk had vanished, replaced with a scowl. No way in hell was she going to let Cain anywhere near a single Runaway. And if he tried… She was going to make sure he bit off more than he could chew…. And ended up getting killed in the encounter. “It’s about time someone gets rid of him, and if we can help do it, we will.”
Wicked could see her home now. From the air, it really was hard to spot, even for someone who lived there! It took her a few moments to finally locate the house that she was looking for, and instantly pointed to it. It was small, obviously meant for those one or two mutants who couldn’t handle being around others. The place was a little run down, but it wasn’t that bad. “Just right there. Hopefully she’s in a good mood today…”

Not many came close to the house that Rose had been staying in… Or more like locked in. After that first night in the Runaway’s hospital…. Well they were still repairing all the damage. They didn’t want Rose wandering about, and most likely causing even more trouble. Thankfully, she hadn’t had an episode that bad since… But that didn’t mean she hadn’t had any violent outbursts. They weren’t intentional though. With how… insane she’d been feeling, sometimes she was just overwhelmed by it all and exploding like that was the only way to relieve that pressure that had been building.
Sadly at the moment, Rose was slowly building up to one of those episodes. She was curled up on one of the beds, sweat beading on her forehead. She was pale, so pale her skin looked like ash. Her breathing came out in short, shallow bursts, so irregular that sometimes she couldn’t even bring herself to breath for half a minute or more and other times so quickly she was hyperventilating.
Rose was getting worse, that much was obvious.
Her head felt like it was splitting in half, her whole body trembling and hot. And in the back of her head, a voice was taunting. Just stop fighting. Stop fighting and you’ll stop hurting… She didn’t know who’s voice it was. It wasn’t one she recognized. All Rose did to respond was scoff. She wasn’t a quitter. Especially when it meant joining Cain if she quit… No, she would fight even if it killed her…. Sadly… that seemed to be the case. The more she fought the worse she got.
Her feverish gaze was blank as she stared at a bare, white wall, her anger growing for absolutely no reason. She didn’t try to stop it for once, she was just to exhausted to even try. In only a few minutes it was past the boiling point, dark matter lashing out to claw at the wall, ripping holes into it, leaving deep gauges in it that matched the other three walls she’d already torn at. Unlike the other three walls though, she couldn’t satisfy her hunger for destruction. The dark matter tore into the wall deeper and deeper. Finally, the wall came crashing down, but in the rumble, another one of her hallucinations appeared.
It was Ian.
Her eyes half widened. Since the hallucinations had started she'd never seen Ian. He just shook his head when he saw her, as if disgusted by her current state. "This is what you've been reduced to?" Rose didn't respond to the hallucination, she couldn't. Instead, she looked down at her tightly closed right hand. Opening her fingers, she stared at the small recorder the future Ian had given her to give to his younger self...

He knew that being on the ground was dangerous, so he didn't bother landing them until he was sure that they were at the point where Rose was being held. He was beginning to feel that this alliance may still have life in it, even with the grown army that Cain was "acquiring" over the months. It was as if on que when Wicked point to the house that Rose was staying at that the wall came crashing down.
"Indeed."
It was his only response when she said that it was where Rose was kept. He had a feeling that his own barrier would be best held until he was sure he was able to get Rose either secure enough or unconscious enough to allow him to find out what was going on and how to stop it. He stepped over the rubble and through the dust and dirt that filled the air from the wall's destruction. As he looked around he could tell that everything around Rose was either being torn apart or already was. He walked over and knelt next to Rose, looking her over.
"She will not last long without help. I must get her back to my base immediately."

Wicked just sighed when a wall came crashing down. And it wasn't an inner wall. "Great. Now we have to repair another hole in the wall." Okay, it would be a lot easier then it sounded, especially if Wicked was the one to do it. Her power let her do a lot of things, and 'fixing' walls happened to be unusually easy for her.... Though Apocalypse had already witnessed that. The way she spoke though, it obviously wasn't the first time Rose had taken down a wall or two.
When they finally touched ground, Wicked fell behind a little so he could have some space as he approached Rose.... Not to mention Wicked didn't want to push her luck to far. Currently, Conner was the only one among the Runaways that could approach her and not have to worry about being torn to shreds by Rose's power. He could just repel the energy she sent at him. Even then, they didn't want him there long, they'd learned very quickly that the amount of force Rose let out was enough to send him into the red.
She frowned a little when he suddenly announced that he would have to take her with him. Finally she nodded. "If you think that's the best thing to do, she's all yours..."

Rose lay in a daze when the two older mutants entered from the door she'd just made, her gaze still on the small device in her hand. Only when she heard Apocalypse's voice did she seem to break free of her thoughts, her eyes lifted to stare at him. Was this the real Apocalypse? Or another one of her hallucinations? Truly her grasp on reality was beginning to falter...
"......." A few minutes passed before his words finally registered. She tried to move, to sit up, but her body was sluggish and heavy. She couldn't even find the strength to move enough to even attempt to push herself into a sitting position. "Don't." Her voice cracked a little as she finally spoke. "Just... slow it down." Apocalypse was brilliant, but it would take him days to figure out a way to save her. Days that they desperately needed. "Not enough time to stop..." If he could just slow the affects long enough for her to find some strength to keep going...
Gasping for air, she closed her eyes. Thankfully another episode wasn't coming on, but that didn't mean everything was fine and dandy. "You need to warn the school...." A short pause to catch her breath a little, her eyes opening to stare at Apocalypse again. Even though her gaze was weak and exhausted, fear could be seen. "I've seen the future... If we don't stop them, there won't be anything left... They'll destroy everything...." Yet another pause. "The person who brought me back was turned into a copy of Cain from the future...."

"Unless you wish her to destroy more of your home."
He looked back at her, though not smiling, she would no doubt tell he just made a wise crack. He looked back to Rose as she began to speak, wanting him to slow whatever was causing her to be sick down.
"I must discover what is causing this before I try to slow it down."
He placed a hand on her head, knowing she was too weak to try and stop him. He closed his eyes and concentrated, though not difficult, it wasn't easy to find what it was either. Machines? he thought to himself, No...something smaller..
"Of course. The fool thought to copy my design and use it to his own means. There's only one man who could remove whatever's in side of her. Though finding him will be difficult."
He kept a hand on her head, and placed another over her heart. Using his powers he managed to indeed slow down what the machines were doing to her, but he knew it wouldn't be long. He would be able to control them for at least a couple days, maybe a week if he was lucky.
"She's changing. I was able to slow the process, but if I am unable remove these from her in a weeks time, we will lose her forever." he looked over at Wicked, "She will either be Cain's subject, or she will die. We must find Magneto."
He picked Rose up in his arms, holding her gently as he stepped through the hole that use to be where the wall was. He focused his attention on the mansions direction and rose into the air.
"We will warn the school of the coming danger. If what Rose says is true, we may have already lost this war."
He then headed off towards the mansion with Rose.
