*When Gisli answered... basically yes. A smile came to Shakaku's face. He was happy about that. He wanted Gisli to be by his side forever.*
*When she asked him what he thought he sighed. 'Should have seen that one coming' he thought to himself.* It might be better, I'd have my own room again, you could visit anytime you wanted without worrying about room mates. And then I would for sure be staying. Not to mention that I could train with Freya while you were in your classes, and then we could get together after your classes.
*It sounded like a good idea but maybe Gisli could think of a problem, or a whole in his thinking.* What do you think about it? Anything you can think of? *Gisli's opinion mattered to Shakaku. Like she said "he was dense" well most the time. He planned, and promised himself that he would do better... He looked into Gisli's eyes and kissed her on the forehead, that should have less an effect. Maybe before they work on perfecting her powers, they should work on the fact that she might one day suffocate herself one time after they kiss.*

It was rare for Shakaku to ever give a genuine smile. Now though seemed to be one of those times. Seeing the smile only made her smile even more. Instantly she knew that she liked seeing him smiling. And not those maniacal smiles either! This kind of smile. This was officially her favorite.
He had plenty of valid reasons for staying at the school. Being an X-men would also give him a lot of responsibilities. It might help him outgrow his bullying stage! He probably wouldn’t like that idea all that much. Not to mention, perhaps the missions were what he needed to vent his anger? He picked on other students when he got angry. This way, he could take it out on the people who should be beaten to a pulp. “It’d be good for you, that’s pretty obvious. You’d have to wait until graduation though. Unless you can convince them to let you graduate early.” The Rules were pretty clear. You had to be a minimum of 18, AND had to have your GED.
Gisli really did need to work on remembering to breathe when Shakaku did certain things. She seemed to be working up an immunity to him touching her, since he had been holding her for quite some time with her being fine. Kissing though? There was still absolutely no immunity whatsoever. Her cheeks stills turned pink, her breathing still stopped. Thankfully? It only took her a few seconds to remember to exhale and inhale again.

Freya had felt the random spikes in temperature and instantly what was going on. Or... had an idea or sorts. Shakaku was feeling something that he couldn't control. And seeing as he'd gone up to see the girl he loved... Well it wasn't that hard to guess what might be happening.
Great, did he have to pick now to do this? Freya was in her guest room, Hazel having come to rebandage the wounds across her torso after taking care of Gisli. Taking her phone out during the process she sent Shakaku a text, ordering him to go to the Danger Room right now. Of course, when Freya told Hazel this the nurse voiced her concern and disagreement but didn't stop her. Freya had taken Shakaku as her student, and she had to stop him from doing anything stupid... Even if she did some pretty stupid things herself!
Freya hadn't told Shakaku about her injuries. He didn't know that she'd almost been killed, and that training him as much as she did was not helping her injuries heal. All it did was reopen the wounds. He'd never even seen her have an off day... She didn't want him to see her weak or vulnerable. Even if it meant forcing herself to keep moving at her usual insane pace as long as he was there.
Leave her room she heading for the Danger Room. Once inside, she leaned against a wall, breathing deeply. She was paler then usual, her body temperature much to low. The odd thing about Freya? Unlike other pyromancers her natural body temperature was cold enough to freeze her to death. She didn't like people knowing that though. It was why she tried to keep her temperature high, to create the illusion.
Right now though.... After the training she just didn't feel like wasting the energy to heat herself more then necessary.
Where was that stupid apprentice of hers?

*Shakaku was just fine holding Gisli and hearing her talk. He would have to go and talk to Xavior about that. He was fine with just a GED. He could careless about high school anyway. All he had to do was study for it....scratch that. All he had to do was have Gisli help him study for that. Shakaku couldn't focus on school work alone. That was why he rarely turned things in.*
*But then he got a text. Looking at it he sighed and rolled his eyes. That dang woman! Why did she have to text him now? Knowing here she probably felt the fluctuations. Dang. This sucked! He then texted back and sighed one more time.* Sorry Gisli I have to go. Freya want's to train more with me.
*He knew there was no use arguing, but he still held on to Gisli. He didn't want to go, but he knew that if he didn't....lets not go there.*
*Eventually he releaced her and kissed her on the forehead one more time and smiled.* I'll see you around alright? *He then headed for the door and left the girl he loved in the dance room that felt like three classes had been taught in a row. He then made it down to the Danger room, not in a good mood.*

Of course he wasn't in a good mood, but Freya was in an even worse one. She just wanted to lay down right now! And yet here he was losing control of his power! She would not let that happen for one reason. Fire was destructive on it's own. If you lost control it could sustain itself and continue to wreck havoc of it's own accord. Those who controlled the element understood this better then others. It would turn on the controller if given the chance...
Feeling him approach, she forced her temperature back up to her 'usual', if only so he wouldn't come in and see her, but feel near no heat coming from her. That would make anyone that knew her worry. Taking another deep breath she stepped away from the wall, forcing herself to put on a mask of her usual self. She couldn't let him know what was going on. But she couldn't just ignore his problems. As the door opened to admit Shakaku she spoke. The sooner they got through this the sooner she could go lay down.
"Do you mind telling me exactly what is going on?"

*Shakaku looked at his teacher as he entered. There was something odd, but he couldn't exactly put his finger on it. A few seconds ago he didn't feel he in there, it was cold, he thought he was the first one there. cold wasn't normal for her, or any pyromancer. Then when he got closer it instantly heat up again. Almost like a trip wire or something.* What's going on? I was doing what you told me to do and handling it. How can I learn to control it when I can't be doing it? *He was working on trying to control his heat. But he didn't see how training like this would work. He took a good look at Freya. She looked quite pale.* Freya, are you alright? You don't look so good. Maybe this isn't the best time to train. I think you should go rest.
*But he knew there was no fighting back. She would want to go on and keep training him. Even if she was sick, or in pain....or whatever was wrong. He would just have to work harder so that they could get finished quickly.

Of course he would notice. Everyone noticed when there was something off about her. But like she’d tell him! Like she’d tell anyone if she were in pain or not! Even those closest to her were left blind when it came to things like that. She didn’t want people worrying about her. Ever. End of story.
Upping the heat like that almost made her sweat from the effort. Why did she push him as hard as she had earlier? She was having to deal with after affects right now! These stupid injuries were sucking up most her energy… “You weren’t handling it though. There is a fine line between uncontrollable outburst and controllable.” She paused for a moment. “You will always have a reaction to things like that, you’ll never fully control it.” She knew from experience. When Rory had been around she’d often unknowingly raise the temperature. “But if it gets to high, you put those people at risk. You need to learn to unknowingly stop the temperature from raising above a certain temperature. Otherwise one slip up…” He knew what the consequences would be.
Hearing his concern, she just scowled. That wasn’t what she wanted to hear from him right now! “I’m fine. Nothing is wrong. Drop the subject.” Oh yes, that was very subtle. If anything it would make most people worry even more!

*Shakaku only rolled hes eyes. Great there was no getting around this...at least any time soon.* Fine let's just get on with it. *He would work hard and then hopefully be able to go and see Gisli agian. But for now he had to focus.*
*He could tell that she was hiding something from him, and grew even more worried. But he knew there was no fighting her on this subject.*
Then let's get started *He then got ready for whatever she threw at him. Witch, by experience, knew would be a lot. But she wasn't feeling good, whatever it was, so hopefully they would be able to wrap it up shortly. But he would do his part and work hard. That way it might just get done faster. Then she could go rest and he could go and put what he learns to good use, and maybe see Gisli, or at least text her.*
*As Shakaku got ready for his lesson he had put most of his thoughts of Gisli further in his mind, so that he could work harder. But no matter how hard he tried he couldn't forget her. He couldn't get her face or her smile out of his mind completely. But he kept the temperature the same as always.*

Did she have the energy to teach him yet another lesson? She’d have to at this rate. Shakaku was close to someone, and he’d made the exact same mistake she had… What’s worse, his dear one wouldn’t come back if things got out of control like her’s had. Maybe that was why she was pushing him like this? Because unlike her, he didn’t need to learn by trial and error. He could learn in a safe environment, and save countless lives. If only Freya had had that sort of a place when she was still learning…
“I’ll try not to keep you long, this isn’t a lesson. This is an exercise, that you” She pointed at him. “Will practice whenever you get the chance. The more natural it gets, the less likely you will accidently hurt someone.” She stepped away from the wall, her movements a little sluggish compared to her usual self. She just had to get this over with as quickly as possible.
“Think of it like….” She paused to think, trying to come up with something to compare it to. “Push-ups, sort of. The idea is the raise the temperature to a certain degree, then dropping it back to the temperature of the room. Raise it again, lower it again. Ten times.” She paused, looking at him. “It’s not as easy as it sounds, for you at least. Most the time when you lower the temperature, you lower it to what is tolerable for others. This time though, you have to return it to the room’s temperature. That way, it is always different, but the temperature you raise to is always the same.”
Freya took a few deep breaths. As if tired just from speaking that much, but it didn’t stop her. “Don’t raise the temperature above what is tolerable. And don’t hold it for any amount of time. Just raise the temperature, and when you reach that point, drop it again.” Yet another pause. “Go slow. Take several seconds to build the temperature up or down.”
Great, she was feeling light headed again. She went back to the wall, sitting down on the floor. “I’ll lower my own body temperature so it doesn’t interfere.” She almost let out a sigh of relief as she stopped using her power to warm herself. He’d notice the drop instantly. It was almost too fast to be her pushing the temperature down.. Not to mention he wouldn’t even be able to feel the heat coming off from her… And that was because there wasn’t any.
