It was close to four months now. Since Rory had left with out much warning. Freya was living in France again, if only because staying at the school kept reminding her of her time with him. Of course she was moody from being alone! She hadn't even heard a word from Rory since he left! That infuriated her. What the hell was he doing? Why couldn't he at least contact her to tell her he was all right?!
Freya sighed, wandering one of the old dirt roads. She'd gone for a walk, wanting to get out of the castle for a while, but not wanting to go any town in case she... well got annoyed enough to set something on fire. Sure, the French Government put up with the sisters and let them get away with a lot, but just randomly setting a city on fire was not one of them.
It was a bright day, the weather warm for this time of year, and none of it was thanks to Freya. Just a freak warm day. It made her a little happier that she didn't have to heat up the air, or herself, to her favorite temperature for once!

Standing ontop of the Eiffel Tower, Cain could see all that could be seen in Paris. He smiled at how small they looked, like ants crawling around in the dirt. He chuckled, thinking this was another good place to cause some fear. As if on cue, he heard a small girl say "Mommy, what's that?". He looked down to see a group of people looking right at him, and decided this would be the perfect start.
He knelt down ontop of the tower, placing a hand against the metal. The people began to look around as his form matched the material. The barrier that kept them from the edge of the platform was breaking and seperating, laying out flat as the rest of the barrier. People began to back away from it, moving against the center part of the tower. Cain jumped down, landing on the platform. Many looked at him in fear, and all he did was smile at them. Many began to scream and try to run for the elevator, but another peice of metal came up, blocking their path.
"Leaving so soon? Well if you wanted down, all you had to do was ask."
He began to chuckle at his next move, but it soon became an evil laughter as more metal walls appeared between the center of the tower and the people. The walls began to move outward, pushing people closer and closer to the edge. Cain moved the walls to the point where there was only a few feet between the people and certain death. Cain walked through the metal to the otherside, and with a wave of his hand, caused the walls to shove everyone off the tower. As the visitors fell, their screams ending in sickening thuds on the tower and the earth, laughed, causing the platform to return to normal as if nothing happened.

Now, Freya usually stayed far from Paris, in case she did manage to get in a fight. Sadly, today wasn't one of those days. The farther she walked, the more she realized she was heading towards the city. She sighed, the towering buildings in sight. Oh, what the hell, maybe she could pick up a few things before heading back.
She wasn't expecting what she saw.
Or, heard to be exact. Freya had been wandering the streets, her gaze on the shop windows when she heard several people yelling in a panic. With a sigh she let her gaze turn to wherever the commotion was coming from.
The Eiffel Tower?
Her gaze turned upward just in time to see several people thrown off it's high balconies. Freya just about gapped, as if unable to believe her eyes. Sadly, they weren't lying to her! She burst into a run, pushing through the crowds as fast as she could. All these idiot people, just standing there in shock! How was she supposed to help if she couldn't get out of the crowd to go save the falling people?!
Finally she was out of the crowds, with enough space to use her power with out risking hurting anyone. Flames engulfed her body as she leaped into the air, the fire propelling her through the air and to the falling victims. She couldn't reach the first fallers.
She refused to look at them though, they were already dead. Somehow, but a miracle she managed to catch hold of that one child... The girl who had spotted Cain first.

Cain had turned and headed towards the elevator, now revealed again by the lowered "wall". He was a few steps towards it when a burst of heat came up from the direction of one of the platform edges. His curiosity causing him to turn his head with interest towards the source. Turning, he headed towards the edge in time to see a woman wrapped in flames catching the small that had spotted him earlier. It didn't take him long to realize who it was, having knowledge of the old families now.
"Freya..."
He chuckled, causing the metal to shape around his form once more. He then stepped onto the edge of the platform, walking towards the edge and then using the metal to walk down the side of the tower as if it were a regular sidewalk. He watched with interest as Freya began rescuing who she could, and he looked towards the street to see more people running in fear. As his feet touched the ground, his metal form melted away to reveal his normal status.
"Freeze!"
He stopped when he heard a voice commanding him from behind. He looked back to see an officer pointing a gun at him. He smirked, the concrete beneath him now forming up around his body. The officer didn't know what was happening, but Cain enjoyed the look on his face as a chunk of concrete rose up as a spike and impaled the man.
"Die."

It wasn’t that the Elensar family was an ‘Ancient’ family like the Nightshades, Milenas, and Ellwoods, but they were very well known. After all, none of the Ancient families had had a Level Six mutant. No family had. There had only been one in existence, and that was Amarie. So of course the Ancient Families had taken an interest in the Elensars!
The little girl was utterly terrified in Freya’s arms, but she tried to ignore it, dropping to the ground and setting the child on firm foot. “I’m sorry…” Her words were uncharacteristically soft, her smile reassuring. If only she could have saved the child’s parents and the others… There was a French woman nearby, retreating into the shop she owned. Freya picked the girl up once more, rushing her to the woman, speaking quickly. The woman didn’t need much persuading, taking the child from Freya and taking her inside with her.
Freya was already back to work, turning towards the crowd once more and running through. She knew who was doing this. She could see him walking down the metal. Cain. Her eyes were almost on fire. This was the man that was causing so much grief in the world! She was downright furious now. Most the people had fled inside buildings by now. They wanted to get out of the way and fast.
One idiot officer though…. Or, not an idiot but one brave soul, stood up to Cain before she could get back… And paid with his life. It made her even angrier. “Everyone! Get out of here!” Freya knew how to make her voice carry, and it did. All the people still there fleeing without a single hesitation. Soon no one stood before her… Except for Cain…

If someone could play out a western feel, then this was definitely a good version. As soon as Cain heard her voice, his attention turned to her completely. The "spike" that impaled the police officer sunk back into the ground, leaving the body lifeless on the ground. He chuckled as he watched the people scatter, then returning his attention to Freya.
"Well, well, well, I should be honored to be in the presence of a member of the Elensars," he smirked, "but I'm not."
He chuckled, looking around to see if her sister had shown herself, but sadly she wasn't. It was just him and her in the middle of the street.
"Why do you care about these things? They're nothing but toys to be played with by their betters, just as those who believe they can defeat me." a cold smile formed on his lips, "You should join me, and save the humiliation of being left to die like so many others have. I'm sure that X-Man, Faith would agree with you...if she was alive that is."
It was as if talking of and chaos was a joy to him, and to him it was. Nothing filled him with pleasure then causing fear and destruction where ever he went.

Freya knew instantly. Cain was different. An uneasy feeling was growing in her stomach. Something was off. She hadn’t been at the school in some time, so she hadn’t heard any news about Cain in quite some time. What had happened? He was giving off an air of death…
She didn’t back down though, didn’t even show any signs of her unease. He was someone that needed to be destroyed. Had to be destroyed. And he’d attacked her home! That was unforgivable. He was rambling now, speaking to her with no real reaction in his voice. He knew who she was…
“Don’t soil my family by speaking our name.” Her voice had gone cold, her eyes narrowed. How dare he speak the name she and Tari shared with their mother? It was unforgivable. Maybe she was just looking for a reason to be angry with him… Either way, it didn’t make her happy he’d said ‘Elensar’.
His gaze had wandered, as if looking for something…. Or someone. “She’s not here.” There was no reason to hide the fact that Tari wasn’t with her. “You’re not even worth her time.” Freya was confident. She didn’t need Tari’s help on this.
Her eyes narrowed even more when he spoke, a scowl forming on her lips. Join him?! Who in their right mind would join him?! “Join a mad man?” Her voice was mocking now. “That’ll never happen. Especially since you’ll be the one left to die!” With no warning the air around both of them skyrocketed, jumping at least fifty degrees in no time at all. It didn’t stop though, continuing to raise as quickly as before. Drawing closer and closer to the point where a human would die from the heat…

"So be it. If you wish to die, then by all means allow me to assist you."
He knew that she wouldn't join him, but it never hurt to ask, or did it? He could feel the heat rising drastically around them. He smiled and closed his eyes, feeling the heat causing his skin to sweat. He smiled, once again the material from the sidewalk beginning to change his skin, making him the same material.
"Come one, , let's see what you got."
He laughed at her as the heat continued to rise, the ground between them beginning to and split. He began to cause the ground to shake violently, looking to knock Freya off balance enough to make an attack. As the ground shook more, Cain charged at her, forming his hands into two concrete hammers as he approached. Each step he took, the ground shook more violently until buildings began to shudder. It was as if an earthquake was beginning to grow with each move he made.
As he approached her, an arm swung out, extending in an attempt to strike out at her. He knew that if he could face and defeat a member of the Elensar family, then he would indeed be a force to be reckoned with among the world. Perhaps I'll use her as an example to those who dare to compete with me he thought with a cruel smile.

Freya was smirking now. “I’m not going to be the one to die today.” Maybe she was a little overconfident. She should have been more worried about just what was different about Cain then killing him! What had happened to this man to give her such an uneasy feeling? Again, she shook away the feelings. She could worry about that later…. If only she knew what had happened…
“What’s wrong, Cain? Can’t handle a little heat?” She knew how near everyone reacted to temperatures at this level. They’d start sweating, a lot. They’d feel lightheaded, they’d get dehydrated extremely quickly…
Curse that power of his. His body was cement now. The temperature wouldn’t affect a cement body, but she wasn’t going to drop it. He’d change materials sooner or later… And if she could get him to change into a certain material he’d be gone for…
He was causing an Earthquake. How? He’d never been able to cause one before! “Learned some new tricks?” Again, she didn’t think much of it, just a new trick he’d learned. He was getting closer, running with his hands turned to hammers. The Earthquake was getting worse, that much was obvious. But Freya kept her ground, keeping her balance as best she could.. waiting for him to get in striking distance.
As soon as one of those hammer hands was swinging out at her, flames engulfed her once more, propelling her high into the air. Twisting in the air, she held out a hand towards him, sparks gathering in the palm of her hand before lightning danced from her fingertips, streaking through the air to strike at the cement man. One of the tricks she’d learned several months before. Fire might not affect cement, but lightning did.

She was just within reach, but to his surprise she launched herself into the air. He turned and watched her, smiling as she flew into the air. His smile was changed into curiosity when electricity began to form at her fingertips. His eyes widened when the bold of electricity shot down and struck him in the chest, causing a large chunk to be blasted away. He looked up down at his chest, his eyes narrowing in anger.
"That tickled." he looked back up at her, "But you can't hang there forever, and when you come down."
The blast in his chest slowly began to reshape itself, and all along the cement area spikes began to rise into the air, the limp body of the officer disappearing in their length as they continued to grow. He partly hoped that Freya could dodge it, he was having fun, but if she wasn't, then this battle would be over long before it had just begun.
"Try not to make too much of a mess when you die."
He smiled and laughed at her, a few of the spikes beneath her launching up in an attempt to spear her. As long as the spikes were under her, each one would strike into the air, looking to impale her. Cain just stood there smiling, waiting to see what she would do next.

It was annoying that he repaired the damage so quickly, but at least she’d taken him by surprise? Or…. Made him even madder. Was making him mad a good thing? Definitely not. She didn’t care though. She had plenty of tricks up her sleeves to keep him from doing any major damage.
Her flames weren’t able to keep her suspended for long, slowly bringing her back down towards the ground. Which…. Was a very bad thing. Great. He wanted to impale her?! She didn’t want to be impaled! “You know, I’d rather you not try to turn me into a shish-ka-bob.” More flames appeared, propelling her higher into the air again to avoid the obvious to come attacks.
Was it possible to avoid attacks in the air? No, most definitely not. Her power didn’t really let her fly, just propel herself through the air in one direction. Thankfully? It was still concrete. Concrete lost to lightning.
Flames picked up again, sending her for a place to land. The ground was a bad idea though, especially with the 'Earthquake' going. So, her best shot was a rooftop. Like before, sparks gathered in her hands right before lightning streaked out, shattering every attempt to impale her. There was one disadvantage to lightning, it didn't last long, a second at best, but it was oh so destructive...
Freya touched down on a roof with a thud, stopping the latest impale attempt half a second before. "Really? That's it?"

"Pity, I was hoping for a cook out."
He chuckled as he watched her go up and down through the air, dodging the spikes and blasting others. He had to admit, he was enjoying this little show, and as he watched her go up towards a nearby roof, he just smiled. His walked over to the building he had landed upon, placing his hand against the structure. His first form began to disappear, being replaced by that which the building was made from. As his form blended, it disappeared into the building itself.
His form began to rise up behind Freya, right when she made her comment, a cold smile still on his lips. He extended his arm, his hand once again changing to a different shape. He approached her slowly, keeping silent until he was within reach of her. His hand now shaped to that of a large hammer once again.
"Actually, I'm just warming up."
He chuckled, swinging his arm down in an attempt to strike the Elensar woman. He knew that by coming up behind her, he had caught her off guard. He enjoyed that, more then he enjoyed placing fear into who ever he was about to attack.

Freya was not an idiot. She knew enough about Cain to know when he turned into a certain material he could also 'hide' inside structures made of the same stuff. Walls, floors, houses as he was demonstrating now. And that was exactly where she had a little plan. If she could get him to change into certain types of materials, he would be completely at her mercy, whether he knew it or not!
Sneaking up behind her was predictable. More then predictable. It was the most overdone tactic in the art of battle! Anyone with a right mind would look over their shoulders first, if the enemy vanished! Thankfully? Freya was one of those people. Her glance was almost lazy as she turned her head to peer behind her, just in time to see him creeping closer.
"I didn't think you were this predictable. Want to know a secret?" She was smirking, turning to face him completely right as his arm was swinging towards her. "This house is flammable." An almost explosion of sorts seemed to happen, flames bursting into existence around Freya. But not only did Freya seem to be set on fire, but the house as well, the fires building and burning so quickly it would probably be ash in only a few minutes, at the most. And if Cain stayed that material? He'd dead meat.

"What?!"
To say that Cain was caught off guard was an understatement. He hadn't prepared for her to set an entire building on fire, but she did. Within moments the rooftop and himself were burning with a feirce blaze. It affected him for only a few minutes as he struggled and fought against the flames. He could feel his form changing again, mending with the flames as they touched him.
He took a few steps towards Freya before the roof collapsed under him, sending him yelling down into the darkness. The house started to fall down ontop of where he fell, but soon an explosion was heard from deep inside. A glow of flames shown in the darkness, glowing brighter and brighter until a ball of flame exploded out through the rooftop. It hovered in the air before taking Cain's shape. He looked at Freya, his eyes a dark red inside the flames.
"Foolish girl, don't you know that any element I touch or touches me, I turn into? Now here's my little secret. While you can only hold yourself by fire for a moment, I can do it for as long as it takes."
He changed into a ball of fire once more and shot himself at Freya. He knew that she could control fire, but what would happen if the fire was out of her control.

Freya was smirking at Cain’s shock. He’d made a mistake, or several mistakes. The first? Not thinking she wasn’t willing to do just about anything to kill him. Setting a house on fire was nothing. The second? Not being aware of what materials he was turning into. The house was made almost entirely of flammable materials. Wood, mostly, with a few steel beams. He was so sure that he was stronger than her that he hadn’t even thought about what he was doing!
As the house collapsed the flames sent Freya into the air, though she landed on the ground this time instead of another roof. She wouldn’t set houses on fire unless she had to. Besides, she’d already accomplished what she’d been after. She saw it, actually. Cain coming from the flames, his form completely made of the destructive element. Her smirk widened even more as she stood there, arms folded lightly across her chest. She listened to what he had to say with no real reaction what so ever. When she did speak… It probably wasn’t what he would expect.
“You forgot something very important, Cain.”
Freya uncrossed her arms, holding out a hand as if to wait for the fire that was Cain to reach her. It didn’t though, which would probably horrify Cain. He wouldn’t be able to move, his flames shrinking smaller and smaller, sputtering to stay alive. He’d really forgotten something. When it came to fire, she was always going to be the expert. Her control over the element would completely overpower his.
“Fire is my element.” It didn’t matter if she’d created the fire or not. All fire was hers to control.
