Gisli Allenforth's BedroomKnock first!* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Gisli had been away from the school for a while... One of her father's relatives had caused quite a bit of drama when they suddenly tried to take custody over Gisli. At first, she'd just gone with it, seeing as it was family and they probably hadn't even realized where she was up until now. She learned pretty quickly what their real motive was though. They'd been waiting for her to learn enough control over her power. That was pretty sad, even her own family had tried to use her power for their own gain. The arrangements had only lasted a few months before child services once again got involved and Gisli found herself heading back to Xavier's school. She thought a lot as she unpacked her bags in her old room. On things that had changed, things that were the same... She wondered if Shakaku was still tormenting poor younger students. Probably. He'd always been a bully to people he couldn't get a long with, or rather.. .wouldn't get along with. New students were his usual victims, but things could have changed. Gisli stopped unpacking for a moment to stare at the wall with a blank expression. Did Shakaku know she was back? He hadn't had a huge reaction when she left... Just telling her it was best to be with family. Those words had near destroyed her. It'd made her angry, and sad. How could he have said something like that?! Wasn't he supposed to be selfish at that moment and tell her not to go? Would she want to see him after that hellish farewell? It was hard to decide. Shakaku had been one of her only friends at the school! Sure, he had his faults but he'd always been a good friend to her. He'd always been selfless when giving her advice... She just about groaned, shaking her head. She didn't know what to do. Finally she leaned up against the wall, staring up at the ceiling with only one question in her mind. Did Shakaku know she was back?

*There was a new student at the school who decided to change his image. No one knew him or what he was like so he thought he could pull of the bully persona. Unfortunately the poor kid didn't know that a third one was just to much and he also didn't know who, if any, the bullies where. The kid found a target and decided to stick with it. It was some kid who he thought would be an easy target. He was Asian and had piercings.*
*Yes, it was Shakaku. Bad idea! Shakaku was just minding his own business, almost praying that a poor new kid would come in and make him angry. He was reading a manga that had just come out in English, he had it in Japanese but he wanted to know if it was different. In other words, meanings lost in translation. First the kid started to only use virtual assault. Behind the book he couldn't see Shakaku's evil, devilish smile. He wanted this kid to make him angry. The kid grabbed the book from Shakaku's hand and with some concentration the he destroyed the book. BAD IDEA!*
*Shakaku wasn't showing any signs of being a bully until he stood up and looked at the kid. He then felt the instant danger. Luckily, for Gisli, they were near the Girls dormitory. So in result everyone in their rooms or near that spot heard the kid screaming from Shakaku shattering his arm, along with dislocating it.*

Gisli had stayed like that for nearly ten minutes, wondering, waiting... Finally she’d just gone back to her unpacking. If he knew, he’d show up sooner or later. But she doubted he did know, because she would have assumed he’d show up near instantly in this sort of situation. Or… maybe he wouldn’t? He hadn’t seemed all that distraught when she’d left after all…
Ugh, she was making it worse than it already was. She had to just let things happen, and hope for the best…
She was near finished, all her clothes stored in her closet and dresser, in the process of stacking her books on the shelves when she heard something. A scream? A boy’s scream…. Gisli sighed, shaking her head. Oh, she knew what was going on. And who was making the boy scream. It was obvious. She almost scoffed. So he either didn’t know she was back, or didn’t care. That made her feel loads better.
Running her fingers through her hair, she stopped, leaving her suitcase on the desk as she crossed to the door. With little hesitation, she left the room, making sure to lock her door after, just in case. It wasn’t hard to figure out where Shakaku and his latest victim were, seeing as you could still hear a few whimpers from the boy. It didn’t take long to catch up to them…
Gisli folded her arms tightly against her chest as she watched for half a second. Shakaku’s back was to her, otherwise he might have stopped the second he realized he had a familiar, but obviously not expected audience.
“… What’d he do? Stare at you wrong?”

*Heat filled the area, the poor kid was sweating, even though outside it was getting closer to winter. That was the last straw, the kids time here at the mansion would most likely be a living Hell. If not by Shakaku's hands, then by the other girl. Depending on if he felt like he could make it worse than Mairead could. Before anyone had come, even before the unexpected Gisli was there, shakaku ahd found twenty bucks in the kids pocked. He took it as Compensation for the manga. By the time Gisli was in sight of boys Shakaku was holding the whimpering kids wrist, or else the kid would have been long gone. He had half a minde to shatter his hand too. That was until he herd a voice he thought he had recognized. He turned to look, was he dreaming this? Or was Gisli really there? Shocked he let go of the poor kid and the kid ran for his life, towards the infirmary. At the movement Shakaku looked back, he decided to let him go...for now. He knew that the kid wouldn't tell the whole story and he would get into big trouble for breaking some kids arm "with out reason." That was because there was no proof save the receipt and no book. Shakaku turned his attention back to Gisli and walked towards her.*
When did you get back?
*Obviously avoiding the question.*

So… Shakaku really hadn’t known she was back? It almost hurt that he hadn’t even known. But hey, who would have told him? It wasn’t like one of the teachers would have gone out of the way to tell the people she’d known that she was coming back. Not to mention…. It’d lead to questions she didn’t want to answer. Shakaku had been the only one to even know why she’d left in the first place. Her being back now… Well he might be able to guess that things with her relatives hadn’t gone as well as planned.
It was a good thing that the helpless student had left as quickly as he had, otherwise Shakaku’s attention might have gone back to him. Sure, it wasn’t likely…. But still possible. She just watched as the boy scampered off, before slowly looking back at Shakaku with a somewhat stern look, as if scolding him for attacking another student.
Finally, she sighed, shaking her head. “About… an hour ago? Maybe less.” She paused for only a moment. “I’m surprised you didn’t know.” No, not really. She was barely surprised at all, it obvious on her expression. As well as… Well it was obvious she still wasn’t too happy with how things had ended last time..

*Shakaku felt kind of bad he didn't know that she had returned. No one had told him, and so how was he supposed to know. He wasn't psychic or anything. He could tell by the way she looked at him she wasn't exactly happy with things from the past. But he didn't know what to say. He knew that he could be quite selfish, but for some reason he couldn't. He felt like he had to let her go. But she had forever changed him. Recently he had been softer on his victims. Well most of them. It seemed like it was some sort of a voice in the back of his head. Gisli's voice. But that just sounded creepy.*
I'm glad your back.
*She probably wouldn't believe anything he said after how he treated her earlier. But he didn't know what else he could say. He wasn't good with sentimental things like that. But he had found an odd taste in mangas and shows with romantics in them. This was because of Gisli he was sure. But she most likely hated him, so he wasn't going to say anything like that.*

Gisli didn’t like staying mad at Shakaku. He didn’t really deserve it. He’d been thinking of her at the time after all! She didn’t know her family all that well, after all. Still… He was always so selfish about, well everything! Why couldn’t he have been selfish then?
Finally, she sighed again, dropping her arms from their tense crossed state. Really, she couldn’t stay mad at him when he was acting like that. He almost seemed to realize why she was acting this way towards him, and he was being just as reserved. Shakaku wasn’t the super quiet type either, so he really was acting out of character.
“Yeah…”
She shouldn’t have left in the first place! It was frustrating that she’d even considered leaving the school, let alone actually do it! But everyone had told her to go, not a single person had told her to stay, the only thing she had been wanting, wishing to hear. Not even Shakaku had been willing to say it either…
“How have you been..?” She wasn’t really sure what else to say. She didn’t want to chastise him for being selfless for once. If anything she should promote that kind of behavior from him! She knew that he had some a sort of affect on him, it was obvious. Shakaku had never acted violently around her, and, like he’d demonstrated, he’d stopped all his tormenting the moment he realized she was behind him…

*Shakaku had thought, lots had happened. But most of it was him being his easily angered self. So there was nothing quite interesting to tell. Some fairly exciting things had happened, but nothing that Gisli would be excited about, or even happy. He did have new targets, she would not be happy about that, for sure.*
Well not much, just the usual. Except some mutant hunters were in the forest recently.
*There was no plan to tell her about Nezumi, or even that he had saved her. There was probably little belief to his story as it was. At this Furai poked her head out. She smelt....something familiar. She looked around, only to post the familiar smell. It was that girl that made her master different. Furai scurried up Shakaku's shirt to sit on his shoulder. She wondered if she would remember her. She was so small and easily forgotten by everyone but her master. Shakaku watched as the small creature made her self comfortable on his shoulder. She then made a small squeak sound for all to know that she was there, and happy. Shakaku reached up and gave her a small treat, witch she quckly nibbled it down to nothing.*

The usual for Shakaku was almost always tormenting and bullying students that didn’t know what they were up against. It wasn’t at all surprising. The Mutant hunters part though was a little more surprising. Mainly because she didn’t think the X-men would have let a hunter get that close to the school! She just smiled a little.
“They probably thought the school would be an easy hit.”
This was a school after all. If they found out it was a mutant school they’d probably thing they could get some quick cash. The fact that it was almost entirely teenagers and younger here didn’t help all that much, and seeing as they were all still learning to control their powers, it made them even easier marks. What they failed to realize was all the students were mutants. You take a swing at one and another will show up to take you down. At least, that was the theory…. There were some students that just didn’t get along.
Furai’s entrance made Gisli smile a little more. Shakaku didn’t let most people even know about the squirrel, let alone see her. And it was obvious that the little thing remembered her, and was probably wanting as much attention as possible. “Furai is just as lively as always. Isn’t she supposed to be mellowing down for winter?” She smiled a little wider. The little squirrel was like a kid, bouncing around like crazy.

Yea probably *Shakaku wasn't going to tell her that he was the one to hit back. He had saved Nezumi and probably scared off the hunter, at least for now.
*He was glad that she remembered Furai. She was one of those pets that needed almost constant attention.*
I keep her warm until she decides that it's time to hybernate.
*His control over heat was quite nice when you had a rodent who didn't exactly like to hibernate. But she knew when it was time to hibernate and her bed was already prepared for such a time. She would go to sleep soon and sleep thought out the winter. Shakaku would then be quite lonely. He was so used to having Furai in his pocket when she wasn't it just felt wrong. He wanted to ask how thing s were but felt that she would get mad at him again. Furai broke the silence by squeaking one more time. Shakaku then raised his hand to pet her, and give the attention she wanted. Through the rubbing she looked at Gisli and squeaked again. It was almost like she knew that things were somewhat awkward and wanted them to be friends again.*

Furai wasn’t something you could forget all that easily… At least for Gisli. And considering who Furai’s owner was… It wasn’t easy to forget her because her personality just clashed with Shakaku’s.
Were they not friends anymore? Furai seemed to realize the tension between the two… What would be a safe subject for them? And how would they repair the damage? It was going to take quite a bit of work from the two…
“Still stalking the Girl’s dorm, huh?” She’d caught Shakaku near the place several times before her ‘temporary’ leave, so it definitely wasn’t a shock that he was near the place. Finally she sighed, having finally decided what to do. “Do you… want to come back to my room?” If she let him out of her sight, he’d probably go find himself another student to torment. And even though he’d never been ‘caught’ before now, there was always a first for everything. If he were ever caught, all of his torture victims would probably come forward just to get him out of the school. Not to mention he wouldn’t have to worry about other students finding out about Furai. After all, Furai was the only safe subject at the moment….

*Shakaku was fairly offended when he said "stalking." but he he let it go quickly. He had no reason to be mad at Gisli. It was in a scene, his fault that she left. If only he had told her that he didn't want her to go. When he had the chance. But that was gone and done. She invited him to her room and he nodded.*
Sure.
*He had found himself close to the girls dorm recently, probably thinking of Gisli. But he allowed her to lead him to her room, even though he knew exactly where her room was. He had never thought about it, but what if while Gisli was gone someone moved into her room. Then Shakaku would probably torment that girl to no end. So in a scenes it was a good thing that she was back. She saved some random girl from being tormented more than anyone else.*
*In the room Shakaku looked around, a few things had changed, but most things were the same. He was happy to be with Gisli, it seemed like the best thing to happen to him in a long while. But once in the room Furai scurried down Shakaku and decided to investigate the room. She soon found a nice warm spot on one of Gisli's pillows.*

Little had changed during her absence, and thankfully she still remembered where everything was. The walk back to her room was quiet, probably because neither of them was all that sure what to say. She’d been gone quite a while after all. They were still trying to figure out how different the other person was!
Reaching her room she quickly unlocked it, holding it open for Shakaku before entering herself. Furai wasted no time at all, climbing up onto her bed and curling up on a pillow. It was cute, and made Gisli smile a little again, before she finally returned her attention back to Shakaku. She leaned against the ladder, watching for a few moments, before shrugging away from the spot and returning to her abandoned box she’d been in the process of unpacking. It was filled entirely with books, something that wouldn’t shock Shakaku. She’d always been a bit of a bookworm, if only because she wasn’t social enough to do anything else in her spare time.
She didn’t say anything for a minute, pulling out the books in small stacks and setting them on the desk. A moment passed and she stopped, her eyes on the books but not really…. Looking at them. As if seeing right through them. “Why… Why didn’t you tell me to stay?” The question that had been haunting her ever since she left.

*Shakaku watched her in silence for only a little bit, when she asked the question. He couldn't help but lower his gaze. He wanted her to stay. He didn't want her to leave. But for some reason he just had to let her go. He was silent for quite a wile but when he did speak it was fairly quiet.*
I'm not sure....I just couldn't bring my self to say those words.
*They had lots together, but he could feel it slipping away, even further than before. They were closer to strangers than they had been for a while. Why did this have to happen? why did they have to draw apart? Why couldn't he have made her stay? He wanted to know her feelings for him, but knew that this was not the time to ask something like that. She was probably still mad at him. It was funny, she was one of the only people he didn't want mad at him. If she was mad, upset, crying. He could see himself doing anything to make her feel better. Well almost anything. Unfortunately he was still quite bad at being sentimental, and most things out of his mouth sounded harsh.*
Why didn't you come find me when you got back?

His answer definitely wasn’t reassuring. Why couldn’t he have asked her to stay? What was the reason? It’d been haunting her not knowing. She’d been trying to find the reason since she left. Tried to tell herself that he’d only said it because he didn’t want to stop her from knowing her family. Or because he thought she’d hate him if he’d asked her to stay. She didn’t like those reasons. And now that he’d given one… She definitely wasn’t satisfied with it.
His question back… She didn’t know what to say. Gisli looked up from the books, her gaze slowly, almost tentatively wandering back to him. Why hadn’t she? Well, she’d only been at the school for an hour when he showed up, so it wasn’t like she would have had the time to go find him… But she could have called before hand, or written, or something…
“…. I don’t know…”
How was she supposed to express all these confusing emotions she was feeling? Should she just shut up now and probably leave things as rocky as they are and make them grow even more distant? She hated this awkward air in the room!
“Because…” She paused for a moment, almost hesitating, as she looked back at the books. “It didn’t seem like… After what happened that you’d really care if I was back or not…” She paused again. “Just thought it would have been better to lay low for a while…”
