Having had his time on the island with the nightmares, and not seeing Shadow for a while, he decided that it was time to have a little fun with the locals. He missed the pleasure of causing death and destruction at random places. But he wasn't sure what he would do today. He had already destroyed a city, slaughtered a camp site, even downed a few planes. He had almost given up on what to do when the smell of the ocean air came upon him.
With an evil smile and renewed gleam in his eye, he turned and headed towards the beach. People were laughing and playing as usual, children building sand castles, people surving the waves that had grown after the big storm last night. He couldn't help but smile as he worked out his plans of chaos for this oblivious group of humans.
He walked towards the water, paying no mind to the people that gave him odd looks. The waves rushed up around him as he continued to sink into the ocean, his body slowly changing into the clear water that was around him. Once he reached the bottom, he held his arms up above his head, causing the waters to churn and rise. The people above could only watch curiously as the waves began to rise higher and higher.
The surfers and swimmers began to worry more when the waves rose so high that they could barely make out the people below them. He chuckled as he combined the waves into a giant tsunami that swelled up over the sand and crashed down onto all the people on the beach. He laughed as the silence came after a few minutes, the water returning to normal as he began to rise out of it. He smiled evilly when he walked onto the sand and saw the broken and bleeding bodies.
Perhaps I should show a little kindness and put these people to rest, he thought as his smile grew as cold as the look in his eyes. Starting with the bottom of his feet, the texture of the sand began to change him. It rose up his legs and covered him to the point that he was a walking sandman. Those that still had life in them looked to him with a worried expression, that soon turned to horror when the realized they were sinking into the sands. He watched with pleasure as the bodies began to sink into the beaches they came to enjoy, the last one holding out a hand towards him as if to pleade for him to stop. Then all was silent, the beach empty of any forms of life, the bodies resting more then a few feet under the earth. Some dead, yet some buried alive.
"Now that was a fun bit of time to spend." He said, stretching and laughing evilly, "Too bad I didn't have an audience to enjoy the show."

"Oh, you did. And I think it's about time I let those people out." The sand that had buried the tanning Wicked was no where in sight, though from where she sat it was obvious she'd sunk into the sand like the others. Wicked fixed him with a 'Are you serious?' look. With a sigh she rolled to her feet, shaking any left over sand off. She didn't seem to be in any real rush, her steps slow as she walked to a spot she knew a living person was at. She reached down, stuffing her hand in the sand. Instantly 'smoke' could be seen. A few moment later, it was obvious what the smoke was. The sand was changing elements... Wicked carefully 'dug out' the few living people left before straightened and looking at Cain again, this time finally 'examining' him.
It took only a few minutes. At which time, Wicked sighed heavily. "Wow... A guy with longer hair then me.... That's sort of embarrassing." Shaking her head she rolled her shoulders, pulling off her other glove so both arms from elbow to finger tips was bare. "So. My guess is you're Brotherhood. Not to many mutants would so openly attack humans." She paused, running her fingers through her hair. "Looks like my vacation has been completely ruined."

"Awww you ruined my fun."
He mimicked a pout when another person, obviously mutant, came and released the living people from the he had planned for them. He chuckled as he watched her, making sure to keep track of the people that were still alive. Still in his sand form, he shot out his arms towards the humans. His arms turning into separate spears that shot even further and impaled the living beings around Wicked. He chuckled as the bodies fell limp, his own form turning to normal.
"As for the brotherhood, I don't associate with the likes of those power hungry fools. My purpose is for a higher power, which will soon take over any mutant and human that doesn't follow."

Wicked frowned, wondering what he was up to when he lifted his arms. She hadn’t figured out his power yet, and there for had no idea what he was capable of. Of course she didn’t expect spears of sand to skewer the still living humans. Her eyes widened slightly, before narrowing, suddenly angry. How dare this man kill innocent people! What gave him the right to do something like that?!
She didn’t speak for a moment, trying not to yell when she did, but when she heard him speak of his ‘real’ purpose her eyes narrowed more. Something about what he said reminded her of those after one of the younger Runaways. “You’re part of the MRF…” She was livid. The people who had caused so many problems for the Runaways. “You’re the ones that keep sending mercenaries after Maron!” Wicked took a few feet forward, her gaze dark.

He knew well of the MRF, having served under them for quite some time. But when he saw the look on her face, he couldn't help but laugh.
"My, my how you do jump to conclusions. First the brotherhood, then MRF."
He paced to the right a bit as he spoke, smiling at her all the way. His "sandy" form melted away to his normal one. He chuckled again as he turned to her, seeing her takek a few steps towards him. The anger in her eyes made him laugh all the more.
"I was part of that group for a time, then I found new meaning, and new purpose. I strive for a newer goal, one that involves. The Brotherhood is small, the MRF weak, even those people in the Nightmares quarrel over a small girl rather then focus on how they're powers can be use to put the humans in their place."
"No..." his voice grew more cold and heartless, "I strive for purity. Purity of those filthy humans that think us their betters., and the mutants that seek to protect them, or find peace."
He spat on the ground at that word.
"Peace. Peace is a dream. A story parents tell their children to make them wake up to a better world. I'm going to give them that world. A world of my own design!"

Wicked just shrugged dramatically. "Used to be is close enough. The MRF has been giving us quite a few headaches lately." She paused when he started to speak of his 'purpose', a slightly bored expression on her face, as if everything he said went in one ear and out the other. She had no idea who these 'Nightmares' were(remember, they still are hidden from the public), or what little girl he mentioned. This guy wasn't making any sense in the least. Finally though, his speech over with, she clasped her hands behind her head. "Now, pretending I have any idea what you're rambling about, I'd have to say that as a one man army you're attempts to exterminate humans will be just that. Attempts." She paused, thinking in a very dramatic way, a finger to her lips. "Though you're just like those 'peace-seekers', you want to kill. Just going about it in a more.. psychotic way."
She paused again, shrugging. "You might want to cut your hair though if you want people to take you seriously. I mean, come on, most girls don't even have hair that long. You look way to feminine."
((Sort of crappy... I know I could have done better... If I waited a few more days for this phase to end, but I couldn't wait any longer XP.))

(lol meh, it works)
He watched as she talked of his attempts being just attempts. He smirked, knowing she doesn't realise the devistation he did in a part of new york and a few towns just by blending with the earth and elements. He still chuckled at the thought of him turning a towering inferno into a flam cannon.
"Don't worry about how I'll do it, girl, just worry about what you will do when it happens."
When she talked of "peace-keepers", he just smirked. She was starting to bore him, and he couldn't decide whether to kill her, or just start making his plans. He already knew the first stop he was going to make, as well as the next. One he was able to find easy, the other would require some work. When she talked of cutting his hair, he chuckled.
"Does it matter how one looks when others are dieing around him? It won't matter if my hair is long or short. When the world dies, nobody will notice anyway."

Wicked actually laughed this time. "Well, if no body will notice how come I did?" She smirked, shaking her head and shrugged. "Well, now that we're 'acquainted', I wonder if we are just going to keep on talking or if you'll try and kill me? I am the only one you left alive after all, and you don't seem like the type to leave unfinished business." She paused, wondering if he could kill her. From what she'd seen of his power it had something to do with using whatever was around him, like the water or sand. She wasn't sure how far his power went after that, or if he'd figured out her power yet. They were in quite a predicament it would seem.
"So? what will it be?" She tilted her head a little, watching him carefully. If only she knew his name... Then she could escape and do more research on this man. A physical description wouldn't be enough...

It was his turn to laugh. He liked her attitude, so much so that it was unfortunate that he had to kill her for meddling with his latest kill.
"You noticed because the world isn't ended...yet." He smirked, "And you're right, I'm not the kind of man to leave my business unfinished. However, I do like your attitude, so I may let you live...depending on how long you last. So you want to play do you? Fine...LET'S PLAY!"
He began to laugh once more, the texture of the sand forming up around his feet, up his legs, and all over his body until he once resembled a "sand man". But it didn't end there, for his feet slowly sunk into the sand until it was up to his ankles. At that point he began to grow into an enormous size. He grew until he could see over the trees, looking down at her with his cold grin, her size being like that of a small figurine to him.
"Alright, let's see what you got, girlie." His voice, now deep and just as cold, boomed, "HAH!"
Raising his right hand, he brought it up as if he was going to punch the ground. It came down over her, turning into a giant waterfall of sand, looking to swallow her up. At the same moment, the sand around her began to grow less firm, causing her to either sink or lose balance. Either way, it would be hard for her to get out of this assault, at least from his point of view. A small part of him hoped she would, just to see how much more fun he could have with her. Again...it was a small part that hoped.

Wicked smirked. Maybe this would be fun. It’d been a while since she seriously fought someone. And seeing as neither of them understood the other’s full potential, it could be rather interesting. “Really now…” She paused for only a moment. “Yes, let’s, as you said, play.”
She took a few steps back, though not in fear. She just smirked to herself as she watched him become a ‘Sand man’ again. He’d obviously missed what happened before. “You sure you want to do that?” She didn’t even flinch when the sand around her began to shift, or a waterfall of sand came barreling towards her. She just closed her eyes, her shoes suddenly melting into water. With her bare feet touching the sand now, the sand was suddenly changed into hard steel. She stepped onto the steel block she made, careful not to change it again as she held her palms out to meet the sand waterfall. Deciding it’d be interesting to make it a real waterfall, the sand went from sand to water, crashing down to completely drench her.
She scowled. “Perhaps I should have thought that through a little more…” She shook her hair out. “But I’m sure you could try better than that. Come on. What happened to wanting to kill me?”

He smirked as he watched the sand under her feet turn to steel. What was even more impressive was that she pretty much turned a part of his arm into a waterfall. He indeed saw that this was going to be fun. He chuckled a little.
"I see you have more to you then I first noticed." he said, "But then again, so do I."
As if on cue, the steel that was under her feet soon began to spread out, swallowing up the beach and himself in the hard material. His body sunk into the steel "floor", and it seemed that nothing else was happening, until behind her, a giant steel hammer rose up from behind her and swung, hoping to catch her in the back and off guard.

Wicked just spit out some water she'd swallowed when it had crashed down on her, rolling her shoulders. "I didn't think you noticed at first. My bad." She shook her head again, still drenching wet. "Hm, I wonder... Does your whole body turn into whatever your touching? Sand... Water... Now steel." She smirked as she watched him turn into the steel she'd created. She didn't notice the giant hammer coming up behind her. When it hit her though, she more definitely felt it. Well, only for a moment. When it touched her back, the cloth melted away to expose her skin to the steel. It turned to water as well, drench Wicked even more. Why was it that when she wasn't concentrating it turned to some sort of liquid?
She rolled her shoulders, the spot stinging. Though most of the impact had been dulled, she'd still felt some of it. "I'll let you in on a little secret. It doesn't matter if I can see it coming or not. Anything that touches my skin, will change. Not unless I'm making sure it doesn't change." Wicked smirked, taking several steps forward. "And since you've been on the offense thus far, I think it's time we switch sides." All she had to do was get close enough to touch him and it would be all over.
"Now... Let's see what happens..." Another smirk. The steel at her feet suddenly went from steel to wood, spreading at wild fire rate, racing towards him. If Cain wasn't careful... and extremely fast, he'd be changed into wood as well. Hard, inflexible wood that would break if bent even the slightest.

He laughed when the hammer struck her, but couldn't help but show curiosity when it turned into water again. He smiled when she told him that anything that touched her gets turned into a different kind of material then it started with. He had to admit he was having fun, and perhaps he would let her live even longer.
"What a coincidence, my dear." he smiled, "For you see, anything that I touch or touches me, I control."
He waited for the wood to swallow him up, and he only stayed still for a moment. But it was long enough for him to move, smile and ball his hands into fists. The ground around them began bursting apart, giant wooden spikes rising up from the ground, moving closer and closer to Wicked with each appearance.

"Hm... This may take awhile then."
Wicked didn't look worried in the least. If anything, she almost looked excited. She'd never had to fight someone that could last more then a minute.
She wondered though. Her only form of attack was transforming the things around him. And his was manipulating those things. Did that apply to everything? Or did he have a limit? Wicked would get major headaches if she transformed to many things at once. So what was his...? Well, she'd just have to find it herself.
Wicked smirked when she spotted wooden spikes shooting out from the platform. With a kick of her foot the wood seemed to 'pop'. Perhaps she'd been a little to silly about it, because no longer was it 'wood', but cotton. Still smirking she kicked at it again, parts of the cotton suddenly changing into glass shards and firing out of the cotton mass at Cain.

"Not bad, girl, I wonder how I'll get out of this one." he said with a smirk.
Glass or Cotton, that was the choice Cain had now. He watched as the wood changed to cotton, then fired glass shards at him. He smirked as he felt the glass thump against his wooden body. He chose the element he would use as the wind blew around them. Hands outstretched, he looked up and welcomed the wind, his body becoming transparent and misty.
His body disappeared and nothing happened at the moment, but soon the cotton and glass around her began to pick up in the wind. Within moments a vortex of cotton and glass was now swirling around Wicked. She had found herself in a cotton/glass tornado that slowly and steadily began to close around her.
