"Of course. It's fun when it doesn't make you sick." She smiled softly. Of course she enjoyed teleporting! After how many years of being able to teleport, how could she not? When he asked of her name, she chuckled softly again, leaning against one of the desks. "Oh it's not rude at all. I'm twenty-years-old." She didn't have much problems with revealing her age. After all, she was one of the youngest among the X-men, seeing as you could join the team when you were twenty.
When she heard the same sound as him, she literally vanished, reappeared on the other side of the desks, and the other side of the room. A second later, she smiled sheepishly, reappearing where she had been. "You're just as jumpy as me, huh?" She was jumpy for a good reason.

Matthew smiled and turned slowly to face her, his hand was still clenched. He didn't trust this place yet. "You look way younger than twenty" He laughed. "I'm only 15" Matthew stuck out his tongue and slowly walked towards her, grabbing his bag on the way towards her. "So what now?" The smile disappeared. "I want to practice my skills" He unclenched his fist and the spikes disappeared. Matthew grabbed his right wrist and rotated it. It made a sickening crack.

April just laughed, shaking her head and reaching up with one hand to touch a blue lock. "Yeah. It's the blue hair, I'm sure. It makes me look like a teen." That and her total lack of figure, but April would not mention something like that. She had to keep some face after all with this new student! "Well, we could wait for F-" She cut herself off, almost letting the name Faith slip. "I mean... Storm or Xavier..." She paused when he mentioned wanting to practice, slowly smiling once again. "Danger Room then?"

Matthew raised one eyebrow. "Er okay..." He took a pause. Matthew then smiled again. "Teleport" He said slowly and his face grew each time, he was hooked on teleporting. He picked up his bag which he had dropped again... "by the way, who's F...."

April slowly sighed, shaking her head. "Didn't mean to let that slip... But you'll find out sooner or later... Faith. Faith Stone. She was one of the school administrators. But..." She hesitated, as if nervous to tell what happened. "She was killed... Not to long ago." Everyone had known, loved, and sometimes hated Faith, but she had been respected, running much of the school by herself.
A few moments passed before she shrugged the depression away. "Teleporting it is then! You can leave you're bag here if you want, just put it behind the counter so none of the others get any ideas."

Matthew nodded swiftly. He grabbed the bag and as he turned, he closed his eyes. "Matt you are an idiot" He whispered quietly. He threw the bag over the counter and begun walking back over to her. "Do you think my power is weird?" He finally reached her and held his hand out so they could teleport.

April was taken back by his question, having never expected that sort of question by anyone. She had to stop, thinking carefully over her words. "No. Most definitely not." She paused, smiling softly. "And if you think you're power is weird, you're going to be eating your words pretty soon. Just wait until you meet some of the other students." She smirked. There were most certainly some interesting students at the school, so by no means was his power weird.
Taking his hand once more, other hand on his shoulder. Then- they were gone, reappearing almost instantly on the floor below. The hall was much dimmer then the upper floors, a large, steel door against one of the walls. Releasing him, she approached the door, examining the side panel only to see the doors weren't locked. "Hm.... That's odd. Oh well." The steel doors hissed open, revealing the absolutely empty, large domed room.

Matthew shook his head as he let go of April's hand. He exhaled quite heavily. "Woah that it a rush" He shouted and then laughed at the same time. Then she said that word "odd" "What's odd..." Matt didn't like the word odd. He looked around the room. "Well this is...." He took a small pause. "Homely" Obviously with sarcasm.

"Heather didn't lock it after her last beating of the students, but that's not really a surprise. This isn't the first time she left it unlocked. Probably got distracted yelling at them." With the tone she used, it was obvious she wasn't exaggerating.
She paused after taking a few steps into the room, her gaze slowly wandering around it's dim walls. "You'll just have to see it when it's running. It's a lot more interesting depending on the setting it's on.

"Great..." He raised an eyebrow. "So it could be on the highest setting" Matthew stroked his chin. "But what is actually trying to kill us mutants?" He didn't like that word. "I prefer Individuals myself to mutants"

The look April gave Matthew called him completely insane. "You wouldn't last a second on the highest. There's a point where it stops using paintballs, and if you're not completely ready for it there's a chance that you could get yourself seriously hurt or killed." She paused at his question, having to stop to think about it. "Well, other mutants obviously. And those radical humans that feel threatened by us. But that's not why we have a danger room. We do everything we can for the world, so we need to be properly trained to handle anything that tries to stop us." She paused once more. "There are many different types of training we do here, and more then just combat obviously. We need to learn the limits of our powers, so as we know how far we really can push ourselves, and refine our skills for other uses."
Another short pause as she thought up an example. "Take me for example. I'm useless in a fight. That's why I have to carry this here." She patted the gun holster at her waist, the sleek black hand gun barely in sight. "Instead, I use my skills for infiltration and information gathers." Finally she scratched the back of her head, hiding a yawn. "For you, we'd start on something small, like shortening the time it takes for you to bring out you're spikes."

Matthew stroked his chin. Pondering what she said about "being useless in a fight" "I have just had an idea" He stopped stroking his chin and he looked up at her. "You are useless at fighting, no offence" Matthew coughed lightly. "As your power is more defensive, but me on the other hand." He smiled. "We could be an awesome stealth team, you with the sneaky, sneaky and me with the spikes" Matthew jumped. "Oh my god, we would own!"

April chuckled, shaking her head. "I just admitted I was useless in a fight, didn't I? Why would you agreeing offend me?" She decided to hear him out, but she doubted his idea would be possible, well depending on what he had in mind. Only when she heard the idea did she just about double over in laughter, a wide grin across her lips. "If you can convince Professor Xavier to let you even go on a stealth mission." She took a few steps towards him, hands on her hips once more. "But I think before you can even think about going on any missions you should train up a bit."

Matthew stood with his hands on his hips. "Are you trying to say i am unstealthy?" He asked trying to be serious. Soon enough he started laughing. "You are right though, i ain't stealthy" He laughed again. "Also who is Professor Xavier?" The name rung a bell in Matt's mind.

April just smirked. "Of course not. But you're still a student. And my work is a bit dangerous. If you were to get killed, I'd be to blame." She paused, her expression growing a little more serious. "And you wouldn't want to be on most criminals hit lists." She may not look like it, but in the criminal world, near everyone wanted April dead for all her snooping.
When he asked who Professor Xavier was, she blinked, more then a little surprised. A moment later she chuckled. "He's the founder of the school, and the Principle of the place. He's the guy who runs everything. And probably the one who contacted your family for you coming here."
