"Come on! Is that the best you can give me up there?"
Tokra screamed angrily at who ever was behind the window in the control room. The danger room was sending him clone after clone of the many enemies the X-Men faced, but all he saw was one enemy. A tall man with long, silver hair, cold eyes and even colder smile. Lauging and mocking him, gloating about how Tokra would never get him.
"Give me something stronger!"
Tokra's anger was fueled by Ayden's situation, Cain, and the fact that he was banned from missions because he wasn't an X-Man. It grew even more as more clones came out and he transformed into his stone form again. Rocky fists destroying the drones that reprisented the many enemies, but all one enemy to him. He'd smash heads in, punch holes in chests, even use them as weapons against each other, or parts of them if he was able to tear some off. It wasn't enough, and he was only getting more angry.
"I said stronger!"
"Tokra the computer has sent you almost all of the drones. Any more and we'll run out." The voice spoke over the intercom.
"Then give me something else!"

Anya happened to walked by the danger room when she heard someone. And whoever it was didn't sound very happy. Curiosity go the best of her, like it always did. She walked in, but not into the control room where the intercom was. She walked into the danger room itself. She pursed her lips slightly at the boy, who was glaring angrily into the window of the control room. She'd managed to hear the last few things the boy said. More of yelled, really. Made it impossible to ignore...
"You're in a lovely mood, aren't you?" she asked, pulling her eyebrows together. Then she smiled slightly, "Wouldn't you talk rather about it than destroy innocent drones...?"
The drones were obviously too easy to defeat for this student, so it was completely pointless to go on with this. She could tell how angry he was, and she could tell taking his frustration out in the danger room wasn't working all that well.

He heard the door open behind him and that only made him more angry. The one thing he didn't need was someone walking in on him. He turned as the voice commented his "wonderful mood" and saw Anya. His mood lessened a bit, but not by much. When she asked him if he wanted to talk about it, he turned and kicked one of the drones heads across the room. He could almost hear who ever it was behind the controls breaing a sigh of relief.
"What does it matter? I'm stuck here while everyone else is out taking care of things."
Ever since that meeting with Cain, every night he was haunted by dreams, which made him angry every time he woke. What added to it was Ayden and what ever happened to her. But Cain was the one that he wanted the most, he wanted to kill the man that killed his parents and ruined the life he could've had.

Anya looked at him curiously, and touched one of the drones that he'd basically ruined. She closed her eyes a moment, seeing visions of Tokra hitting it and sensed his anger. But she hadn't needed to see the vision to figure that out.
"I'm stuck here too," she opened her eyes and looked at him. "I'm not destroying the danger room. Sometimes it's better not get that involved."
By looking into his eyes, she saw a quick glimpse of whatever he was mad at... Cain. There's a shocker, she thought. She knew that wasn't all he was mad about, but that's the main reason, Anya was for sure. "And revenge is never a good idea," she added.

"Things get destroyed in the danger room all the time."
He bent down to pick up another head that had been taken off by him, grabbing a dismembered arm and using it to hit the head like a bat. The hed flew across the room and hit the far wall, clanking and clattering to the ground. His anger was slowly disappearing until she mentioned revenge, and that laugh came back into his head. His anger flared again and he turned to her, throwing the arm down.
"What do you know about it!? He didn't kill your family! He didn't frame you and have your own home town turn on you!" his body changed into stone once again, "I'm not going to let them take away my chance to avenge my parents! They aren't going to kill him, I AM!"
He raised his foot and brought it down hard into the torso of a drone, bringing that same foot back and kicking, launching the body through the air.

Anya just looked at him. She wasn't afraid, even though she had basically no self defense. Fear just wasn't in her nature. She sighed, letting the body of the drone fly past her.
"All I'm saying is there's a difference between avenging someone and murdering someone. I know you want to kill him, but once you do it's not going to make you feel any better about your parents." She paused a moment. "And I know Cain is a seriously bad guy, and the world would probably be better off without him... but it's not going to make you any less angry about your parents death. If anything, it'll make you feel worse."

He stopped when she mentioned all the information to him. He couldn't help but feel the urge of watching the life fade from Cain's eyes. He looked to her when she mentioned how it would only make him feel worse. It was as if a light had turned on in the darkest part of his mind, lighting a mirror that he had been looking into for the past few days. In that mirror he saw Cain, but then soon after saw himself. He looked around at the drones that now littered the floor, wondering if such a massacre would've happened had he let his anger on Cain. Would he have stopped there? Or would he have destroyed everything else that Cain represented, the bodies around him being like the drones that were around him now.
He could hear his parents voices in the back of his mind, telling him the same things Anya was saying. He knew how they would feel towards him now, scolding him for being so angry and ful. All he had felt seemed to collapse, the strength and rage that held him up for the past week now causing him to drop to his knees, his hands flat against the floor. Drops fell from his eyes to the ground as everything came crashing in then.
"It's just not fair." He spoke quietly, partly to her and partly to himself, "I don't know what to do. Cain is out there, Ayden's been hurt by something...I don't know what to do."

Dimitri leaned against the doorway, watching Tokra and Vin talking. He sighed, shrugged off the framed and walked forward with his hands in his pockets. He didn't feel like jumping right now or teleporting.
"Do you mind if I join you in here? I'd like to practice as well." His Russian accent came out in his low voice, silky and smooth. His black jacket hung loose around his shoulders and fanned out behind him as he walked. A small paper-back book was stuffed in his back pocket, worn from use.

Anya walked over to Tokra and stood in front of him, looking down at him with a sympathetic look. She was smiling so bright inside, but knew it would be weird to smile at him while he was so sad and confused. She'd gotten through to him. She barely knew him but had gotten him to let go of his revenge. If he wasn't crying she would have been jumping up in down in excitement. She'd never felt so important before.
She was quiet for a moment, then spoke softly back to him, kneeling down in front of him to see his face. "I don't think anybody really knows what to do," she admitted. "Not ever."
She put her hand on his shoulder and closed her eyes. She suddenly saw a vision of the image Tokra had just shown himself of the mirror and Cain, and then the bodies lying around him instead of drones. Her eyes snapped open when she heard a Russian accent and spun around, her hair flowing behind her, to see Dimitri.
She hesitated a moment. "Yeah," she turned back to Trokra and grabbed his hand and pulled him up gently, leading him toward the door. He was definitely in no state to practice anymore today. "We were just leaving."
She got much clearer visions when she touched his hand, but had learned to ignore most of them. People needed their privacy, and she didn't want to butt into his painful past just because she could.

He felt more lost and alone then ever now, even his mind was so jumbled with thoughts that he couldn't even control it. When she placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him, telling him nobody really knew, he looked up at her, his eyes red from crying. He paid no attention to Demetri when the man came in, even if he was a member of the X-Men, and when Anya took his hand, he just let her lead him out.
"Sorry." He muttered as they past Demetri.

Anya let go of his hand once they were down the hall and thought a moment. The weather wasn't so good outside, but it wasn't raining. It was a little cool, so she knew no one would be at the beach. "Let's go to the beach," she finally said. "No one will be there today. Maybe it'll help you think... sort out all the things in your head."

He gave her a look, wondering why she was willing to help him. He couldn't help but feel a little more warmth now that everything had been let out. When she invited him to go to the beach with her, he gave her a half smile. He hadn't been to the beach in a long time, so it may be good to get out and enjoy the weather. He loved the outdoors more anyway, so he nodded.
"Sure...the beach sounds good."

"Do you want to walk there?" she smiled then when she had a thought. "We could always steal one of the X-men's cars... or motorcycles." She thought a moment. She'd never even considered what Logan would do to whoever took his fancy motorcycle. She would never do something like that, though, unless her new friend wanted to. If they took one of the other cars there, any that didn't belong to Logan, they'd probably get off without that bad of a punishment.

The thought of taking one of the motorbikes for a ride did seem to stick in his mind, or maybe the mustang that he had his eyes set on. But his he knew his conscience would be beating the crap out of him if he even tried it. He looked to her and just smiled. Either way didn't matter to him, as long as he was able to get out of this place, but walking seemed to keep them out of trouble the most.
"I don't mind walking, it's a nice day out."

She nodded, knowing that he would say that and smiled back at him. She hesitated a moment and said, "Wait! I have to get something." She spun around so fast that her hair almost hit him as it swooshed around her. Anya walked quickly toward her room. She came back a minute or two later, with a jean jacket in her hands and slipped it on as she walked back to him. The jacket was obviously very worn, and torn in a few places. Most of it was faded and seams were white. There were two pockets that used to have buttons holding them closed, but now the buttons were missing, so the flaps were flying off in different directions. Anya was never bothered by it. She rolled the sleeves up so that they stopped at her wrists.
"I never leave without this," she smiled again. She always smiled, or wanted to. She didn't know why, but she was always happy.
