Rory grinned, he was really starting to like this teasing thing. No wonder Freya did it so much, it caused so many interesting reactions from her. Though, he wouldn't push it too much, she was still far better at it than him, if only because she could seduce him so much easier. "Well so can you, lass... But I love ye for it as well." He said with a wink before finally letting her go a taking a slight step back.
He glanced at the village as she spoke. It was a bit bigger than he remembered but it still wasn't that large. Not to mention there were a few people outside, which was going to make this... very interesting. It was then he realized that it seemed a bit warmer down here, far warmer than it had been at the cave, but still cold with how little clothing he was wearing.
He turned back to Freya, "You should probably go in first, I'll follow and try to act wounded." He said with a grin, after all, they couldn't really see whether Rory was hurt or not even if he wasn't wearing much to covering him now. Besides that, he wasn't going to take his clothes off until they were in a room at the inn, so it should work out okay. "You lead, I'll follow, muirnin."

His returning her comment made her smile, as innocent as possible. If only she were as innocent as that smile looked. "Good. Because if it didn't, I wouldn't understand just how we fell for each other." Of course she were joking, but things wouldn't have been as fun if they didn't have diabolical sides to them.
It was a good thing none of the people had seen the two before now, because otherwise the commotion would have been bigger. But a big commotion was exactly what Freya would cause, that much was obvious. She wasn't the type to be subtle after all. "Don't worry, they'll have to totally pampered after the ruckus I cause." She grinned. Yup, her plan? Go running in, yelling for help. Not at all subtle.
With a wicked grin, she turned and started jogging towards the town, picking up her pace as she grew closer, forcing a frantic expression on her face as she started calling for help... And just about startling everyone that heard her. A series of events followed, people rushing to her when hearing her calls, following her fake, frantic gestures to Rory and running to his aid.

Though Freya may have been joking when she spoke about falling for each other, it was more true than she probably guessed. Rory doubted he would have fallen for someone that he knew wasn't as devious as Freya, not to mention as fiery and fierce in combat; which was what first attracted him to her. She kept things fun, and kept Rory on his toes all the time, it definitely wouldn't be as fun if she wasn't like that.
What she said next though made Rory's face drop a little. What did she mean by totally pampered? Rory had meant to only let a few people know, he didn't want the whole town to know, "Don't cause a ruckus!... Freya! Try to be subtle!" He called after her, though he knew it was near impossible for he to actually be subtle in any situation.
He slowly followed behind her as she ran into town. Then suddenly she started acting frantic, causing people to come out of their houses to see what was going on... Great. His face fell a little more. Then suddenly, there was a mob of people rushing for him, "...Crap..." Rory muttered, he started limping and nursing his wounds as if he were really hurt. Though through the crowd he glared at Freya.

Subtle was a foreign term for Freya, completely and totally impossible. Not to mention she probably didn't even understand the concept of being subtle! Rory probably should have taught her a few things during those private training sessions of theirs.
Freya had intentionally done this, for a few reasons. One, it was pay back for teasing her like that right before. Two, it'd teach him a lesson that being subtle was impossible for her. and Three... She just wanted to see him squirm as he had to deal with the people. He was glaring at her through the crowd whenever someone wasn't blocking the view. She just grinned, as if to laugh at him. She'd stayed back, when suddenly an elderly woman latched onto her arm, giving her more motherly treatment then the mob surrounding Rory. Still... It was just as bad, the elderly woman literally pulling her behind her, speaking about getting her somewhere nice and warm, that her husband would be taken well care of, and so on.
Freya's grin vanished, as she looked over her shoulder to Rory with a half pleading look, as if wanting to be rescued by this Grandmother who seemed intent on taking care of her. Well... It looked like her plan had back fired on her. Because before she knew it, she'd been taken into the woman's home, the elderly woman telling some of the men to bring Rory as well...

Suddenly a bunch of men and women were crowding around Rory, trying to look at his wounds, and some with shocked faces at how blood stained his clothes were. Though he was trying to act wounded, he was really starting to get mad. If another one of the people in the mob asked if he was alright, he was going to punch someone. Not only that, but with everyone surrounding him it was making him feel uncomfortable, he hated being around people... This was just cruel.
Through the crowd though, he saw Freya getting grabbed by an old woman, then a pleading look on her face. Rory broke out into a positively devious grin, no way he was going to help her. She did this to him, he was going to let her suffer the consequences. Then the people in the crowd started grabbing him! The first one that touched his shoulder, Rory almost whipped around and broke his nose, until he realized they were picking him up to help him to the old lady's house.
Soon the crowd broke away, and it was just four men helping Rory into the house. Once he was inside Rory gave another glar at Freya, as if to say "I hate you right now". Pampering was something Rory had never had nor ever wanted. Pampering by large amounts of people was a personal hell for him. He was wishing he was back fighting the rock monster again...

Freya had literally been dragged into the house and into the front room, forced to sit and wait for the woman to come back with a blanket. Now she wished she hadn't made such a scene out of it, if only because she was going to be just as miserable as he was. But, she couldn't exactly do anything to stop it from happening. The woman was back around the time Rory had been brought in, throwing a blanket over Freya and ordering the men to put Rory down on the other couch while she went to fetch another blanket.
The look he gave her made her roll her eyes, her own response of 'It wasn't supposed to be this bad!'. It really was a pain... but at least if Cain's men were around, they wouldn't do anything because of the attention they were getting. They wouldn't want to make an even bigger scene by going after the couple. So there was at least one good thing that had come out of this...

This was driving Rory nuts, all this kindness and all these people. Why were small towns so nice?! By now though he knew there was no sense in fighting it, or getting mad because of it. Freya had already set things in motion and if they were every going to make contact with the X-Men again, they needed to play along... Even if it did make Rory mad.
As soon as they were in the door, the men got orders from the old lady, and set Rory on the couch lying down. He didn't know who this old lady was, but apparently she was some sort of person the people listend to. What surprised Rory though was that they weren't freaking out over his bloody, slashed clothes as much as he thought they would.
Once he was on the couch, lying down with an annoyed expression, he glanced at Freya; catching her look. He narrowed his eyes slightly in response with 'I hope you're happy'. One had to admit though, it took skilled arguers to argue without ever saying a word. As he sat there, annoyed, he folded his arms slightly waiting for the woman; still acting as though he were hurt a little.

Freya just curled up on the couch she was settled on, staring over at Rory as he was forced onto the couch, the elderly woman throwing a blanket over him as well before shooing the men away. Freya just shrugged, nothing even bothering to come up with a 'response'. Of course she wasn't happy! It wasn't supposed to get this out of hand!
Suddenly the elderly woman was back, a pair of fresh clothes that would probably fit Rory. "Here, take these. You're going to keep drawing attention to yourself if you walk around in those." There was little worry in the old woman's voice, as if she already knew that Rory was faking his injuries. Freya looked at her in surprise. "Wait... Wh... huh?!" She sounded so confused, as if trying to figure out what was going on and failing miserably.

Finally, all the men left him and Freya alone. Perhaps things were finally starting to look up, or so he hoped. Rory leaned back in the blanket, as if still nursing his wounds when the old woman came back with clothes. What she said next made Rory freeze though and apparently shocked Freya too.
Rory sat up, no longer feinging being hurt, taking the clothes from her. He was nervous, afraid that this women may be one of Cain's agents... But why was she being so nice? "Who are you?" Rory asked bluntly, glancing at Freya to see her reaction to all of this.

Freya's reaction was far more... elaborate then Rory's. Her eyes wide as saucers, her mouth almost a gap. What in the world?! Then... Realization struck. "You know Xavier..." She had to!
The elderly woman smiled, nodding. "Did you two really think he wouldn't have someone keeping an eye out if something happened?" She paused for a moment. "Don't worry, both of you are safe for now. No one would dare come after you. And when you are both fit to travel, you can return to the school."
Freya sighed, leaning back into the couch and shaking her head. "Why doesn't it surprise me that he had someone stalking us?"

Rory almost had to laugh when he saw Freya's reaction, especially compared to his own. Where Freya was completely shocked and awe struck, Rory was showed no emotion and was stone-faced. Though Rory had to admit, he was incredibly confused. Why was she not shocked that Rory was covered in blood, or stooping over him looking for wounds and why was she not asking questions?
Then Freya spoke, and it donned on Rory as well. Again, why hadn't he thought of that? Freya was starting to get ahead of him on the planning and the assuming. It made sense though, and then when the woman smiled and nodded it left no room for doubt. "Because he's a sly old man who's resources seem to know no bounds." Rory said with a small grin.
Rory slowly stood up, still holding the clothes, "Well, uh... Thank ye very much then, but do ye have a bedroom or somethin' I can change in?" Rory was still blunt, though he was a bit more polite than before, he had said "thank you". Being polite was something Rory wasn't very good at, Professor Xavier knew that very well by now.

“Yeah… Sly old man indeed…” Freya sighed, rolling her eyes. “I’m guessing either A, he didn’t trust us. B, he knew we’d do something stupid. Or C, he just likes keeping a very close eye on everyone..” Suddenly though, she was nervous. Just how closely had this elderly woman been watching their activities… Now she suddenly felt embarrassed, her face blushing, giving Rory a ‘how much does she know?!’ sort of look.
The elderly woman just pointed down the hall. ”Down the hall, first door on the left.” She paused for a moment. ”Do you want me to call for the X-men to come pick up both of you now, or would you prefer to rest a little before?”

Rory laughed a little bit as Freya spoke, "Aye, I choose option D... All of the above." He glanced at the woman, as if hesitating to speak again, but then remembered he didn't really care what she thought or how blunt he was. "Frankly, I think it's a bit rude... and kind of creepy." Rory said with a nod.
Rory saw the look Freya was giving him and shook his head slightly as if to say 'We'll talk about it later'. When the woman pointed to where the room was he nodded, "Thank ye... And I think we could use a bit of rest before we leave." He glanced at Freya as he walked by toward the room, and motioned with his head slightly for her to follow him.

Freya laughed, shaking her head. “Option D it is!” That really was creepy! And… Disturbing… But understandable… At least a little. Sure, you’d want to keep an eye on those under you, to make sure they were safe… But to a degree that it was stalking? That was a little…. To crazy. But how did they know they were being ‘stalked’? Maybe the woman had just been waiting for them…
The Elderly woman really was a sweet old lady once you got pass the whole ‘keeping an eye on them’. She let Rory wander off to change, who was closely followed by Freya. She wandered off towards the kitchen herself, to fix the two something to eat since it had probably been at least half a day or more since they’d last eaten.
Freya smiled softly as she trailed after Rory, having noticed that motion of his. “I bet Xavier knew this would happen, that’s probably why he had someone waiting here…” It really did tick her off that Xavier had pulled such a stunt, but if this woman hadn’t been there… They’d be in a load of trouble when the villagers realized Rory wasn’t hurt.

Rory slowly made his way down the hall toward the bedroom, glancing at Freya as she followed behind. This had been one wild day already, considering what little sleep they got last night. Then they almost immediately got caught up with villagers trying to help them, it was another whirlwind day. Then again, Rory didn't really mind. He loved a good adventure and this whole trip had been one.
"Aye... I bet he had her watching us... Just in case." He said with a nod, then remembering the looke Freya had given him a moment ago he grinned slightly. "And I don't think she's been watching us the whole time... Though I do remember a noise outside the tent the other night..." Rory said, as if pondering.
Finally, they were at the door to the room, Rory opening it and stepping inside. He didn't take the time to change yet, instead he walked over and plopped onto the bed. It was amazing how good it felt even though he wasn't tired. "You should come try this... It's like... Heaven." Rory said softly, compared to sleeping on a rock floor all night, it was heaven.
