"Sounds like we have an evil, mastermind on our hands," Phoenix said, he couldn't help but grin. As for almost getting killed everyday, he'd much rather almost die with Maron then anyone else. He'd had a lot of near-death-expeirences in his life but thses were by far one of the best. If that was even possible.
It was a good thing Maron had lead him into the kitchen. One, because he would have liked to avoid being 'aquashed like a bug' as Wicked called it. And two, oh God was he hungry. There were a few figures up and moving already which sent Atr on edge just a little bit. It probably would have been helpful to know what Xenthron looked like. It was too late now though. Hopfully Maron could steer him into the direction of the food.
Phoenix hadn't realized it, but such a small thing like hand holding really seemed to stand out here. It seemed like all eyes were on them right now. That was a tiny bit akward. Especially everyones expressions! Disgusted, envious, even angry? Phoenix whispered in Marons ear, "Is it just me, or is everyone starring at us?". His tone wasn't embarressed, in fact he was holding back a laugh. Had no one seen two people holdong hands?

"A very evil mastermind." Maron agreed.
The walk wasn't far. Maron's room was actually close to the kitchen, which was an interesting but useful fact. The few people they did see looked like they were going off to bed or something, tired. A few others were getting one last meal or snack before heading off, and a few others had just woken up to do whatever it was they needed to do at this hour. Wicked was no where in sight, neither was Zoltin or anyone else Phoenix might recognize.
Maron knew who they were though. It wasn't just that they were staring at the 'couple', they were staring a the idea of Maron being in a couple. "No. It's the idea." Phoenix probably wouldn't know what she meant, so she continued as she led him past the others. "They don't like the idea of anyone being close to me. So, yeah, it's sort of you they are staring at, probably thinking you are insane. But they are thinking I am making the biggest mistake letting you be near me." She could smell the food now. Eggs, bacon, and pancakes being the dominate smells.

Phoenix shrugged. "Maybe they need to learn, that I'm a little bit crazy." he said, louder then he usually would have. Just to prove his point, he kissed Maron's for head lightly, quickly, before they walked into the actual 'kitchen'. He was never one for being afraid or ashamed of what he believed in.
Art grabbed two sets of paper plates and plastic utensils, handing one set to Maron. Food. Glorious food. The kitchen was sort of set up like a buffet. Phoenix piled on as much as he could onto one plate without it collapsing on him. Good thing he had an extremely fast metabolism.

A faint blush touched Maron's cheeks as she felt Phoenix's lips on her forehead. Wait, why was she getting so embarrassed by something like that?! This was nothing to Wicked spying on them! Well, she's wasn't 'embarrassed' embarrassed. It was more like a 'You're so cheesy!' sort of embarrassed. The kiss certainly got some interesting reactions. Most just went about to ignore the teenagers, muttering something about it not lasting. A few others actually stopped and gapped, so shell shocked all function failed them. It made Maron a little happy to see such a reaction.
She accepted the set passed to her. Mmm... You never knew how hungry you really were until you actually saw food. She didn't have quite as much food as Phoenix did, because, well... A teenager girl could never eat as much as a teenager boy! That was just a fact. "You sure you'll be able to eat all that?" Maron was trying not to laugh as she saw just how much Phoenix planned on eating. A monster size amount.
Maron had already taken a seat at the table, wolfing down a slice of cooked bacon before she'd even sat down completely.

Art knew that he was cheesy and fully embraced it at times. Well, the only time that he was really cheesy was when he was around Maron. Mostly it was on purpose, just for fun. Sometimes though it was like someone should take a double-take of what he'd just said. At all of the mutants reactions, especially the gapping ones, he just full on laughed.
By the time that Maron had asked him that question, he was already halfway through his plate. Somehow he managed to make it seem graceful though, and as if he wasn't stuffing food down his throat. Even when he was caught with his mouth stuffed it still seemed adorable. The look on his face said Guess I bit of a little more then i could chew". Now though, he was trying especially hard not to seem like some kind of animal while he sat across from Maron
"I think I can handle it," Phoenix said, smiling a sweet, no-tooth, smile. It was funny how there were so many calorie counters out there. Most of them girls at that. While Art could eat as many carbs as he wanted and hardly gain any weight at all. When was there time to be over weight anyway? Especially not in a world like this one. He couldn't help but chuckle. Maron's appetite seemed to be as ferocious as his own. Yet another thing that was extremely cute about her.

If she hadn't been so hungry, and eating, she would have laughed at just how quickly he was scarfing down his food. Oh, he was definitely going to give himself a stomach ache later. She'd bet on that. But, with how hungry she was, she just might eat herself sick to! Yeah, that'd suck. Not a smart idea. To try and avoid the problem, Maron forced herself to slow down, besides, it wasn't like the food was going to go anywhere! She hoped....
"I can tell." Where did he keep all that food?! Could he really eat all of that? Well, he was already proving her wrong, more and more of the food on his plate vanishing as more time went by.
Maron's plate was empty now, seeing as she'd gotten quite a bit less then Phoenix. Standing up, she quickly disposed of the plastic plate and utensils. There were only a few others in the kitchen, but these people didn't seem to have as dramatic of reactions to the 'couple', instead, they just took in in stride as they finished off their own breakfasts.

A few minuets after Maron had disposed of her plate and utensils, Phoenix did as well. That probably had to be one of the most satisfying breakfast's of his life. It was sort of a relief that the other guests eating their own food weren't staring at him like he was some kind of Maniac.
"So what adventures are in store for us today?" he asked, tilting his head again in that cute, curious way. He doubted sneaking out was a good way to kick off his first day with the runaways. He could only imagine what Wicked would do to them. It's not like she could keep them apart, but he had a feeling she could do some much worse things.
Confronting Xenthron wasn't on the top of his list either. Well, maybe if he was with Maron it wouldn't be so bad. Even though the both of them were responsible for the bike. Maron being the one that stole it and Art being the one she stole it fir. Not to mention his psychotic sister being the one that stole it from Maron. It was like some kind of odd stealing triangle. Well Phoenix doubted this building was the only stretch of land they were aloud to be on.

“Hopefully? None!” Maron laughed. Well, none as dramatic as their other adventures so far! Ah, why did Phoenix have to give her that curious, but overly cute look of his?! It made her blush, again. And she was sick of him seeing her blush so often!
None the less, she started to put some thought into it, what could they do today? There wasn’t a whole lot that could be done around here… But, if they wanted privacy, the best place would be outside. “It shouldn’t be too cold today. So we could go outside. No chance of running into Xenthron out there.” Absolutely no chance. Xenthron couldn’t go outside when the sun was out.

"Maybe we can hide away at some frozen lake, huh?" Phoenix said, in a gentler, softer tone. Now that he'd proposed the idea, it was seeming more and more appealing. The both of them keeping each other warm. God knew that he was not a talented skater. Keeping his balance while moving forward and on a deadly pair of blades. Way too much multitasking. Still though, why did it sound so fun?
There was no way ice skating shoes would be an issue. Knowing Art, why would it be? After a while, pain seemed sort of irrelevant. Mind over matter. He'd learned that a while ago. His power really gave him no choice but to learn it the hard way. He was only thirteen at the time though, so that had definitely left some emotional scars.
"I didn't bring a down jacket... but, we'll keep each other warm. Where ever it is we go," Phoenix told her, it's not like they had to go to a frozen lake. She knew the area way better then him after all. Anywhere sounded good as long as Art was with Maron. If that didn't sound love sick then what did?

"A frozen lake?" Maron stopped to think, trying to remember where any lakes were. There was one close by. "Yeah, there's one pretty close. It's a little bit of a hike though, so, just as a warning." She smiled, happy she remembered the way to the lake. It'd been a while since she'd gone to the place, but she'd been their often enough when she was younger it was like a bike, you just couldn't forget.
Again, she was blushing at his 'cheesiness'. So tempting now, so cute and romantic. It sounded nice. Just the two of them, off at a beautiful frozen lake.....

A small, excited, smile appeared on his lips. The two snake bite piercings Art had below his lips glinted in the light. He hadn't even remembered having them in. The night before though he'd bitten his lip with worry, causing it to bleed. He had already the puncture, just no piercings. It's not like he wanted holed to close up. It was funny, he was usually always seen with piercings in until recently.
"Well if we leave now... there is a small chance we might not run into Wicked," Phoenix, an almost mischievous tone to his voice. Technically they weren't sneaking out, but it was close enough.

"Yeah. Wicked might not like us not listening to her and telling Xenthron." Wicked wanted them to squirm. So when she found out they hadn't talked to Xenthron, and vanished, well, she'd be a little pissed. She wouldn't go after them though, because during the day, Maron was free to wander as long as she stayed 'close' to their land, and away from civilization.
Taking his hand, she lead him back to her room, where she got herself a coat, gloves, and ice skates. The next stop was a closet, where she fished Phoenix a coat that would fit, gloves, and ice skates as well. Handing them off to him, she buttoned up in her coat, downing the gloves, and holding the skates by the laces in her other hand as she waited for Phoenix, ready to take his hand again when he was ready.
When he finally was, her hand found his again and she was leading him out of the 'building'. Phoenix probably hadn't gotten a good look before, but now he would. It wasn't exactly a house, but it wasn't a large plain building, it was somewhere in between. The closest thing it seemed to be to was a college dorm. "It's this way." She lead him to a half hidden path, the brush around it a little overgrown from lack of use. But, it was obvious someone came out from time to time to clear the path, keep it accessible if anyone planned on traveling up it. "It's not a long walk. Maybe ten minutes."

Phoenix followed after her, buttoning the jacket and downing the gloves Maron had given to him. He tossed aside his pair of skates, though. Through the gloves he felt the familiar outline of the box cutter in his pants pocket. He grabbed a red beenie from a small bag he'd brought. Putting it snuggly over his now wavy, white, hair.
As his hand found Marons, he let her lead him toward the path. It was funny, this place did remind him a little bit of college dorms. When Art was younger, he remembered telling everyone that when he grew up he wanted to be 'the smartest student'. That hadn't worked out.
As they started walking, it was obvious he could see his breath. "ten minuets? Not to bad," he smiled, pushing hair out of his eyes.

Maron laughed a little, her breath visible in the cold air. "Yeah. Would be shorter if the trail wasn't so rough." It wasn't to bad, but, all the overgrowth just made it tricky. But, it was still a nice walk. Cool, quiet. Let you 'connect' with nature and those with you.
The walk really didn't take long, and passed quickly and silently. The dense forest finally seemed to open up, and they were soon out of the brush, the large frozen lake in front of them. It wasn't huge, but was bigger then a pond. Someone kept the snow from covering up the ice, which pointed to at least other people coming out to use the lake from time to time...

Phoenix enjoyed most walks, this was probably one of his favorites. Walking with Maron, gloved hands laced together, what could be better? Usually when people said things like that, things got bad. But he figured that nothing could get worse then what they'd already been through.
Walking in silence wasn't that bad. But when he saw the lake, he couldn't help but let out a "whoa,". It had so long since he'd been ice skating. Taking his hand away from Marons, Art took of a glove. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the box cutter. He traced a line on his palm, not even flinching at the deep cut. Soon there were two sharp blades on the bottom of his boots, his hand was gloved again, and the box cutter was back in his pocket.
Phoenix stood up, almost falling over instantly. "Oh god," he said, laughing at himself.
