It had been a few days since he had visited the site where Rose was killed. Construction had stopped, blaming "mutant activity" on the incident. He smiled a bit at that thought, wondering how many times people are going to use that excuse before things start to go well between mutants and humans.
He wandered the destroyed site, passing by spots that still showed hints of red from the deaths of the workers. He then walked over to the spot that he was so nervous about walking to. A small cross placed in front of a destroy cylinder. He kneeled down infront of the cross, placing a small rose in front of it. He placed a hand on it, smiling sadly.
"Hey Rose." he spoke softly to himself and to the cross, "Sorry it took me so long to get here, I haven't been myself lately. Alex helped clear my head a bit but...it still hurts. I still feel there was something I could've done to protect you more."

"You are back..."
Pitsha had never spoken to the boy before now, but she'd seen him at that time when his friend had died. Or so he thought. If he knew of Pitsha's interference, he'd probably ask her to take him to Rose's new host body. That couldn't happen. The girl needed to come to term with things first, and then she would find him on her own...
She felt little pity for the young man, but that was how she felt towards everything. She only approached him because she wanted some answers. She wanted to know what that girl had been to him, and just what he'd do to find out she was still 'alive'. She was also curious as to why her grandson was so focused on the young man. Why did Cain and his lover seek his death? What had happened?
Pitsha stood a short ways from where Ian was, standing next to a beam, watching curiously as he finished speaking to the cross that had been placed in memory of that girl....

"Don't worry, I'll keep my promise to you. Cain and Shadow won't win."
He smiled, staring at the cross that had been placed there by the three. He placed two fingers to his lips, then placed them against the wooden cross. He then stood up, looking down at the cross, wishing he could tell Rose that he loved her. Even it it was one last time. He was brought from his thoughts when he heard the voice of a woman nearby. He quickly turned and looked to her, wondering how long she had been there.
"Who are you?" he asked, then thought again, "How did you know about me coming here? Were you spying on me?"

Pitsha just blinked when the boy's attention was finally brought to her. He'd already partially answered a few questions of hers. He didn't like her grandson, but that didn't explain why Cain was after him. And the girl that had died must have been extremely close to him, his actions giving that much away. How close? It was either sibling close, or she'd been his girlfriend.
"I prefer not to introduce myself until the other has been introduced first." She paused, finally smiling a little. "I was here, the night this happened. Outside, actually. I heard much of the commotion, including seeing you and the Nightshade boy entering." Pitsha knew what a Nightshade looked like. They all carried a few defining characteristics.

"You're the one that was obviously spying on me, so it's only right you tell me yours first."
He stood there, listening to what she had said. So she knew about what had happened, or at least had heard it. When she commented on Parker, his eyes narrowed at her. How did she know Parker was a Nightshade? How did she know about the Nightshade family at all? He flexed his fingers a bit before balling them into fists. He was never one to fight a woman, but if she was a member of the Nightmares in any way, then there was going to be trouble.
"How did you know about him being a Nightshade? Were you sent by them?"

"Hm....." Pitsha looked deep in thought, as if trying to decide if she should oblige or not. She hated the word 'spying'. She hadn't been. She'd just.. happened to be passing at the time and her interest caught. "If I was spying on you, it wouldn't have been so obvious. You wouldn't have even seen me." After all, she didn't even have to stay in this body to spy on people... In some ways, she was a master at deception. It wouldn't be all that hard to plant her soul into, say, the building itself, after all....
"Very well then. You don't seem to have any manners for your elders, so I have no choice but to oblige. I am called Pitsha." Just because she gave him her first name didn't mean she'd give him her last. That would be idiotic, since the X-men now knew Cain's last name. They would make the connection and take her hostage, to get to Cain.
Her pause was short as she finally chuckled, shaking her head. "My... aren't you a suspicious one!" He had instantly assumed she was a Nightmare. "No. I would never work for the Nightshades." She paused once more. "All the Nightshades share a few physical characteristics, that are easy to distinguish when you are familiar with the features. Your friend's were very defining, so it is safe to assume his lineage being of the main family, or a very close branch." She smiled softly, a smile that seemed to be calling him a complete imbecile to have to ask such a question.

"You're right, I'm sorry." he lowered his head a bit, then looked back to her, "I'm Ian."
He looked her over, trying to discern if she meant trouble at all. The way she spoke and scolded him made him feel like he was being talked to by his parents after doing something foolish. He had to admit she was right though, the Nightmares seem to have one thing in common to be able to tell if they're part of the family. He was thankful Parker was considered a friend and not an enemy.
"Yeah, he's the only one of that group I consider a friend."
He wouldn't tell her much about Parker, just that bit of information. Parker d the Nightmares as much as he did, and he didn't want to share too much with someone he had just met. He was getting a little tired of standing, so he walked over to a nearby rock and sat down, still staring at the woman.
"So...did you know Rose?"

So this really was the boy her Grandson was after. But why? She couldn't spy on everything he did. Was he acting on his own, or someone else's wishes? She knew that before she'd confronted him the first time he'd been after the boy, and even turned Ian to his side until something made him break free. After that? He'd seemed to have lost interest in the boy for a time... But now those feelings had been rekindled?
"Not all Nightshades are as heartless as you think." Pitsha was smirking a little, her arms folded neatly across her chest. She wondered how much information she should share with the boy. It would be interesting if the information was passed on to the school, but she felt no obligation to share anything. After all, her allegiance belonged to no one. What assistance she did offer to anyone was merely to make things more interesting.
But now he was asking her a question, one that she had to put some deep thought into. What was she to say to that? In a way, she did know Rose, but she'd never physically meet the girl, which would be difficult to explain if he ever asked how... After all, she wasn't one to lie. "In a way." She knew the answer might just lead to more questions, but that didn't matter to much.

"Yeah well, they haven't given me much reason to think other wise. Like I said, Parker's the only one of that group that I consider a friend."
He didn't know why this woman was here, or why she seemed to be so interested in him. She had to be interested in him, otherwise she wouldn't have taken the time to talk to him. He wished he had some telepathic powers like Ayden or Anya, at least then he'd be able to figure out what kind of game she was playing.
When she said she knew Rose in a way, he had to give her a curious look. He had been with Rose more then not, but she had never mentioned this woman, Pitsha. But then again Rose was secretive about things even to him, so maybe they did know each other or at least had run into each other from time to time.
"What do you mean by that? You two meet somewhere?"

Pitsha's smirk was still visible, almost shaking her head and laughing. This boy had had little exposure to the Nightshades it seemed. "Let me ask you, how many of the Nightshades have you personally met?" An eyebrows was raised now. If she were to guess, she'd say all he knew about the Nightshades he'd heard from Parker or his Nightshade girlfriend.
His reaction was rather expected. After all, he probably thought he'd known all the people in Rose's life. Though even if he had, he still wouldn't have known about Pitsha. Seeing as she had only 'known' Rose for a very short time as she went to find the girl a new host body. "I believe that is none of your concern as to why or how I know her." She refused to use the word knew, but it was unlikely he'd think anything of it. "That is not the reason I spoke to you in the first place. Seeing as it's not the topic at hand, I feel no obligation to satisfy your curiosity."
She still spoke in a way that made most feel inferior and idiotic, whether it was intentional or not. "No, I'm much more curious about what it is you've done to get yourself in so much trouble at such a young age." The funny thing was? Pitsha didn't look all that much older...

"Well," he had to give it some thought, "I've seen Shadow, but I've met Sky, Parker and Rose."
He didn't go into how he had met them or how he had seen Shadow, mainly because he didn't think she really needed to know. He heard her use the word "know" in reference to Rose. Didn't she know that Rose was killed? He looked at the cross again, wondering why she used a word like Rose was still alive, then looked back to her.
"I'm a mutant. I'm always getting into trouble."
Him getting into trouble was an understatement. He already managed to get on the Nightmares side by saving Rose, Cain wanted him because he not only trashed the factory but took out two of the new sentinels Cain had created. Add that up to your basic mutant hating humans and the gangs and thugs that try to take over, and he never has time to relax.
"And I hate to break this to you, but Rose is , so I don't know how you can "know" her."

"Seen Shadow. Met three others." Pitsha had a look of deep thought, staring blankly off into space. "Shadow..." The way she spoke the name sounded as if she was trying to recall a face to go with the name. "Oh right.... the next head... White hair... Your friend Parker's older sister." She was smiling faintly now, as if bragging that she knew something he didn't.
"No, Shadow isn't a good example of the family. I'm sure your friends in the family have told you a little about them, right? Do you know why they are so hard on themselves and each other? Why they don't hesitate to drive themselves to death, or others?" She was smirking again. "I should introduce you to someone...." It was unlikely Ian had any idea what Pitsha was talking about. She did this often, making no sense at all.
She was smiling again, running her fingers through her hair as she stared at him with that 'Are you sure?' sort of look. "Really now? Dead?" She paused for a moment. "Hm..... How certain are you of that?" Pitsha might not tell him exactly, but she'd plant the seed of doubt, make him start to doubt reality, make him start looking for Rose again, get things moving.... If Ian was able to find the new Rose, and make her remember who she truly was, the war just might take a surprising turn...

"Yep, that's her alright. How did you know?"
He didn't really know what this woman was about, but she seemed to be treating him like he was a lot dummer then first given. When she asked him if he knew why the Nightmares were the way they are, and why they treated each other the way they did. Honestly, lady, why should I care? he thought, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. He gave her and odd look and smirked.
"Introduce me to a member of that family? Thanks, but no thanks."
Then she started questioning him about Rose, and that made him irritated. Who did she think she was, questioning him about whether Rose was alive or not. He saw her die, he held her in his arms watching the life fade from her eyes. And even with Pitsha smiling at him, he grew even more irritated at her.
"Look, I know she's alright? I saw her die."

"I know because those Grandparents of her talk about her far to much." She was still smiling, but now she looked even more deep in thought, as if lost in memories. "Not all of it good then bad, of course. Once your friend Rose was born though, she was all they could talk about..." Her pause was short. "Power like an Ellwood, they always said." Ian wouldn't know about the Ellwoods yet. Perhaps the Milenas. Definitely the Nightshades.
"No. Not a Nightshade. Definitely not." She paused once more. "But she is someone that Parker and Rose would have grown up with. Not to mention I'm sure she'd be able to explain quite a bit to you." Pitsha was reaching into her bag now, pulling out small notepad and pen. Flipping it open, she quickly jotted down a number. Ripping the paper out she held it out for Ian to take. "Your other friends at the school would find her services useful as well. Not to mention I'm sure she'd want to help..."
His irritation was entertaining to say the least, but he certainly was a stubborn one, so focused on what he saw. "What world do we live in? One where we are limited by human standards? Or is this not a world of discovery? Where what you see may be different then what happens? Where dead return to the living. Where people fly just because they can? Where the body can do the extraordinary." She was smiling again. "Where one is not limited to just one life." Oh how tempting it was to tell him exactly what had happened! The longer they spoke, the more she wanted to tell him.

He gave her an odd look when she spoke about the Nightshades. Especially when she got on the topic of Rose and how her grandparents spoke of her so highly. So Parker, Sky and Rose's grandparents thought highly of her. Was Shadow the only member of the family who wanted Rose to be destroyed? What made Rose so worthy of in Shadow's eyes.
"Ok...who is she then? Or will I have to find out for myself?"
He walked over, taking the number out and looking it over. What was he suppose to do with it? Just call and say "Hey, you don't know me, but I was hoping you could tell me about Rose and the Nightshades"? Yeah right he thought to himself, that would go over well, and I'd end up in a loony bin
She then started talking like some sort of seer again, which really made him roll his eyes. The last he talked to at least showed him what the future held and why he needed to save Rose. He could sure use her advice right now, that was for sure. Where one is not limited to just one life, something in those words hit him hard in the back of his mind. Not just one life...could that mean...
"Wait a sec. So your telling me that Rose...could still be alive? How?"
