*Chez thought about how lucky the people here were. They didn't have to worry about food. They could just go somewhere and eat it. His life was so different. He had to look for food, almost every chance he had.*
Well it's not that easy for me.
*He wasn't sure what else to say, he wasn't used to talking this long to someone so nice.*

Christy had never thought about how good the kids here had it. She'd never been on her own the way Chez had. Most of the students here depended on the school to always be here. If something terrible happened and they all had to go live on their own, they wouldn't last ten minutes. Not in Chez's world.
She gave him a sympathetic look and decided to change the subject. "So how long are you staying?"

*Chez shruged, he had been making plans to start to move around. He had made quite a few enemies around here. But now he wasn't sure. This place was good. But maybe it was too good. But he alway told himself that he would find a place that he belonged.*
Not sure. I guess until I'm all the way healed.
*He still felt pain and Hazel wanted to keep a close eye on him until he was back to 100 percent.*

Christy knew that he must want to go on somewhere else. Clearly he had enemies, and if they hurt him bad enough for Hazel not to let him leave, then maybe he should get away after he's healed. But staying at the school would be good for him, at least from Christy's point of view.
But, considering his gloominess at the beginning of the conversation, maybe he didn't like it here at all. She couldn't really tell anything about him. That kind of bugged her, like it does any time she can't figure a person out. Then again, she'd only known him five minutes.
"Yeah," she smiled back at him then. "Hazel won't let you go anywhere until she knows you're good as new."

*Train sighed.*
It most be nice to have someone who cares about everyone like this.
*He had been on his own for so long he had learned the rule of "survival of the fittest." But he wished that he had someone who cared about like this.*
This place seems nice, and busy
*He looked around seeing kids playing and doing what they want.*

Christy sighed, getting that sympathetic feeling again. She knew he probably didn't have anyone who cared about him, not the way the students and teachers did here. She couldn't help but feel bad. But he was also right when he said it was busy here. There was always something dramatic going on. Usually something life threatening and dangerous, too.
She nodded then, and tried not to give him her look of sympathy. "If you decide to stay, then you could be a part of it, too. Except for the occasional bully, which is my expertise, everyone cares about everyone here."

*Chez smiled at Christy's invite to stay. Maybe he could belong here. Maybe this was where he was supposed to be. It seamed perfect. Nice people, a good, big, area to run around in. Lots of stuff to do. But maybe it was to perfect. Maybe as soon as he decided, it would all come crashing down. Like waking up from a good dream.*
We’ll see how things play out.
*He couldn’t bring himself to answer at this point.*

Well, it wasn't exactly a yes, but it was better than a no. And it was better than a maybe, too. Christy nodded, then, satisfied. "Good."
Depending on how long Hazel made him stay, she might have enough time to convince him to stay. She could tell he hadn't had a good place to stay in a while, and when she offered he seemed to really think hard about it before responding. But, being the hopeful and persistant girl she is, Christy hoped that he'd stay. She was still trying to figure him out, and knew it took more than one or two conversations to really get to know someone.

*Chez smiled at Cristy. It seemed now he knew three people that he could consider being associates. They weren't quite friends, because he didn't know how friends acted with each other. He thought of his few possession and wondered if anyone had found them. It wasn't lots, but he should still go and get it. He only had a jacket that he used as a pillow at nights, and to stay warm in the winter, and an extra shirt. It wasn't much but Chez would feel more comfortable if he had them closer.*
Do you know the best way to sneak out of hear?
*He knew that he could just evaporate but it kind of hurt for a second now. He figured it was because of his injuries.*

Chrisrty couldn't help but wonder why he wanted to sneak out. She would to help him escape if there was a good reason to it. If his reason was to just leave, she wouldn't. But if he needed something important or was in danger, she wouldn't hesitate. But, when it came to sneaking out of places, Christy was your girl.
She cocked one eyebrow at him curiously, "Well, I know of a few ways. But why would you want to sneak out? And I can't promise that I can get you out without Hazel catching you."

*Chez sighed. He understood her curiosity. He must be an interesting person, considering how he's been living most of his life.*
It's just my things. Well my only possessions that I can actually call mine.
*He paused, half way hoping that she wouldn't ask any other questions about it. But he thought about Hazel. He didn't want to get in trouble, or Christy in trouble, but he had a solution.*
If we're about to get caught, I can Evaporate us out. Granted I've never evaporated someone other than me and it might feel weird the first time.

Christy smiled then. If it was only for possessions, she would gladly sneak him out. And she knew she'd be able to settle more of her curiosity about him by getting Chez to his things. But as she thought of his evaporating idea, she thought a moment. She didn't really like the idea of being evaporated...
"You won't have to worry about me getting in trouble. I'm actually an X-man now, so it's not like they can put me in detention or something. I walk around the mansion all the time... everyone's used to it. I actually spend most of my nights in the forest, and come back inside around 2 in the morning." She smiled, shrugging slightly. "So technically I can't get in trouble."

*Chez smiled, he was glad that she wasn't worried about getting in trouble. Also that he wouldn't have to try to Evaporate her too. He did want to find out if he could do it, but not now. Not when it hurt his wounds when he did. He wasn't sure what an X man was, but he was sure that at this place, it was important.*
Okay, lets go, from what I remember it should only go a few blocks away.

Christy thought a moment. Well, whatever his "possessions" were, he wanted them fast. She nodded and thought a moment. "Where are they exactly? Somewhere in the city...?"
Depending on the direction they were in, she could find a much easier way to get there. If they were deep in the heart of New York, she'd just leave right out the front entrace, without being seen of course. But if it was somewhere else, she might have to make a more devious and clever plan of escaping to get there before dark without being noticed.

*Chez thought, they were in a residential area, it was in the same area that he met that mirror world girl.*
It's in a residential area, about in the middle of it.
*He didn't know the direction, but once he saw it he knew exactly where the stuff was. He started to try to remember what happened that day, before he was attacked. but he couldn't remember exactly which direction. That was probably because he was so turned around because of the incident.*
