Rain Rain, Go Away (Open)

[storm]

*She smiled softly at him before pushing a lock of hair out of her eyes.*

“That might be the case, but I have personal battles that don’t have anything to do with the school or anything like that.”

*Ororo sighed.*

“I do have faith in her, it’s just that the students aren’t blind or dumb and neither are the other X-men. We’re just lucky that Ayden hasn’t sent her tongue flapping about this.”

[logan]

I'll know which to step in on and which to stay out of, don't worry.

::he looked at her curiously when she spoke::

then why are we keeping this hidden from everyone?

[storm]

"That's good then."

*She stated before turning and gently biting the finger that still laid across her cheek. Ro reached up with her own hand and caught his hand in hers before it could hit the ground, gingerly lacing her fingers though his.*

"Honestly, I really don't know why we're keeping this on the down low, but...everyone is going to flip. As far as nearly...everybody is concerned I don't believe in getting involved with someone, which isn't true. I've just had...bad luck with guys in the past."

[logan]

::he smiled as she gently nibbled his finger. When her hand took his, he laced his fingers when she did the same to him. He looked into her eyes and smiled, glad that they were alone on the beach then. When she told him he reason, he couldn't but give a small laugh::

In other words, you want people to think you're not the dating type?

[storm]

*She shrugged at this.*

“I can’t have the students thinking that. I’d have to beat the boys away with a stick if that were that case.”

*She teased lightheartedly.

"They would also probably think they're all tough and call you Riney then tell you to get off of me."

*Storm grinned when she called Logan Ayden's nickname for him, knowing that he wasn't very fond of it.*

"Ayden's quite a special one, isn't she?"

[logan]

::he couldn't help but chuckle::

I'm sure the boys will have a hard time trying to fight me, especially after they break a few fingers throwing punches.

::when she called him Riney, he couldn't help but smirk. Even though he didn't like it at the start, after Ayden was living with them for over a month, he had gotten use to it::

She is pretty interesting isn't she Stormy? I just hope she's able to take over where her grandfather left off.

::his smile faded as another thought entered his head::

Do you think we're forcing things onto her just because she's Xaviers granddaughter?

[storm]

*She shrugged at this.*

"Actually, they would probably get more defensive about me as if I was their mother, which is really annoying because I'm not their mother. I would really suck as a mother."

*She rolled her eyes and shook her head.*

"Stormy is an actual name, Logan. And it's not my actual name. It's Ororo. Come on, say it with me. Ororo."

*Storm shook her head.*

"I'm not forcing her into anything. She insisted upon it before I could even get the words out of my mouth. I just hope she doesn't go into Cerebro before she's ready. She was very zealous to get her head in Cerebro."

[logan]

::he chuckled as she talked about the students getting defensive::

Well if they start getting defensive, I'm pretty sure they'll know who they're dealing with. Besides, I don't think you'd make a pretty bad mother if you can control a whole school of kids.

::he laughed when she tried to get him to say her name with her::

And my name is Logan, but that doesn't stop you from calling me Riney.

::his smile faded when she talked about Ayden, and he couldn't help but be more than a little worried::

I hope not either Storm. She's pretty much found out she's not only part of a great family, but one that's more powerful mentally than any mutant out there.

[storm]

*She shrugged.*

“Alright then, I’ll just make a bad mother instead of a pretty bad mother. You gotta cut me a break though. I didn’t really have a mother figure in my life to learn crap from with the exception of the first five years of my life.”

*Her thoughts went to her mother. Storm really wished that she had known her biological parents better, but there wasn’t anything she could do about that.*

“I’ve called you Riney once.” *she retorted* “You haven’t called me Ororo…ever.”

*She smirked and fought off a fit of laughter.*

“Yeah…she was a bit upset when she found out that she couldn’t make me say that it was alright for her to fly the jet. All we can really do is hope that she isn’t stupid.”

[logan]

::he shrugged as well::

Either way, I think you'll do fine.

::he smirked when she mentioned him calling her Storm instead of Ororo::

I just prefer to call you Storm, it's all I've known you as.

::again his smirk faded as conversation continued about Ayden::

Trust me, she's not stupid. If she's the proffessors granddaughter, I'll wager she's wanting to know anything about him as well as her powers

[storm]

*She rolled her eyes. He really didn’t have the slightest idea. The only reason she was so good with the majority of the students was because she knew what they were going through, having gone though it herself. She decided to drop the subject however, not wanting to start a debate.*

*She smirked and sat up, gazing down at him.*

“Well prove to me that you actually know my name, or even my nickname. Getting called Storm all day every day gets old from time to time.”

*Ro shook her head and rolled her eyes.*

“Smart people do stupid things. You remember the atom bomb?” *she challenged.*

[logan]

::he laid down on his back and looked up at her as she looked down at him. He rolled his eyes playfully as she challenged him to remember her real name::

ok, Ororo, I know your real name.

::when she asked if he remembered the atom bomb, he had to stop himself from saying "of course I know, I was there". But he knew she would just think of him as more crazy than people already to. Instead he just shrugged it off and answered::

Yeah, anybody who know's history knows it.

[storm]

*She laughed and sighed.*

“Alright…you know my actual name…but what about my nickname? And don’t say Storm because before I hit puberty nobody, myself included, knew what I could do.”

*She shrugged.*

“Well the people who made the atom bomb weren’t stupid…but I’m sorry, that was stupid. Yeah, just dropping one I could get, but Nagasaki was taking it way too far.”

[logan]

::he shrugged::

I never did know your nicname, I only knew you as Ororo and Storm

::he nodded his head when she talked about people taking things too far. He knew more on that then anybody would think he did::

When people have power, they seek to use it. Magneto's group proved that theory more times than others.

[storm]

*She raised a brow at him.*

“Think really hard. What’s the last syllable of my actual name?”

*Storm rolled her eyes.*

“There’s a difference between using power and abusing it.”
