• Power/s [/color] | Beth calls her ability 'Extrasensory Perception'. This phrase refers to the ability to receive information that is not gained through the recognizable physical senses. It's a rather broad term that covers a range of powers, but for her it involves the 3 abilities of precognition, retrocognition and clairvoyance.
Precognition: This is the ability to see the future. Beth currently has no control over when or how she receives these visions and the visions often come in snippets that are confusing and hard for her to piece together. Most often she'll have dreams of the future, but sometimes a vision will come to her as she goes about her life, usually resulting in her passing out. Just recently she has developed the ability to see the future of a person when she touches them, but this is usually just a small snippet that she can make no sense of.
Retrocognition: This is the ability to know certain aspects of the past of an object, person or place. Again she has no control over this ability or when it happens but unlike her precognitions the visions come as the result of direct contact with a person or object or from entering a certain place.
Clairvoyance: This is Beths most consistent power. She seems to always have a constant sense of what's going on around her. It's hard to explain, but for instance, she can tell when danger is near, if someone means her harm of if everything is just fine. She also has a keen instinct of the emotions of those around her that never leaves and an ability to just know things about people. It's hard to explain, but she'll just instinctively know what someones Favorite food is for instance. On top of that, this ability can give her visions of something that's happening right now, half way around the world.
• Flaw/s [/color] | Beths flaws relates to all her powers. She has no control. It makes her pretty useless, because her visions are often of random things that are of no importance. On top of that, she can't just make herself have a vision. She's learning control, but it's a slow road. She's only just learned how to tell if a vision is of the past, present or future. One day she'll be able to have visions on demand and even about a specific events, but that's a long way down the road.
Other than that , her other flaw is that her she has no way of defending herself from real harm. Her power is neither defensive nor offensive and she has no knowledge of fighting. In battle she'd be like a sitting duck.

Beth is like most other girls her age appearance wise, there's not really that much to make her stand out from the crowd. She's slightly shorter than average and has a petite figure that fluctuates between average weight and too skinny. She doesn't have much shape , but on the up side she doesn't have much fat either. She knows how to dress her figure though, to make it look like she's a perfect hourglass. She has pretty enough facial features, but cute is the word that is most often used to describe her. Because of her girlish features she has a hard time being anything more than 'pretty' or 'cute'. No matter how hard she tries to make herself look sexy, it just doesn't work. Her look is too girl next door and she doesn't have the sex appeal for much else. The first think most people notice about Beth is her smile. She always seems to be doing it and even when she's not smiling, something about her face makes it look like she's always on the verge of laughing. There's something very warm and open about her face that makes people feel at ease.

How she dresses is a large part of who Beth is as a person. She's always impeccable dressed, in cute dresses and skirts often with lace or floral prints. Her look very much reflects her sweet persona. It's rare you'll see her in pants but when she is, it's always paired with a feminine shirt and lots of accessories to dress it up. One thing people notice about her is how perfect her appearance is. She never seems to have a hair out of place or a wrinkle on her clothing. You'll never see her wear clothing that doesn't match and she'd never think to leave her room without some make up on.

-Failing: she's never failed an exam, but the thought of that makes her shudder.
- Loneliness: Beth loves to talk, but there's no use talking if there's no one to hear you. She needs human company and the thought of not having someone to talk to actually scares her.
- Gaining weight: It may seem shallow, but it's one of Beths biggest fears. It stems from her need for perfection, and if she weighs more than 112lbs she'll flip. She's been known to go to extreme and sometimes dangerous methods to lose weight.

Fighting - Ever since coming to Xaviers school Beth has realized just how helpless she would be in a fight and she hates the feeling of helplessness. So has she has vowed to learn how to fight, so she can protect herself and those she cares about.
To be the best she can be- Beth is obsessed with becoming the best at everything. She just wants to be the best possible version of her herself and she won't be done bettering herself until she's satisfied.

Beth is often described as the 'girl next door' and for the most part the description fits well. She posses the sweet, innocent nature that is often associated with the term and she has a very child like demeanor. She goes through life like a wide eyed child, experiencing everything for the first time. She has this amazing ability to find joy in the smallest of things. Most seem to like Beth at first glance, it's rare you find someone with such a joyful, open heart. Of course, this joyful nature has it's downfalls. Anyone who always seems happy is bound to become annoying eventually, but add to that an incessant need to talk and you have a serious problem. But part of that is what makes Beth so endearing. It's not everyday you meet someone as honest and trusting as her. She has one of the biggest hearts around and she has this rare gift to see the good in even the most undeserving. But too much trust is a bad thing and Beth definitely suffers from too much trust. It's alright to give someone a second chance, but after the 3rd, 4th and fifth chances it would be a smart idea to just give up. Not Beth though, she hates giving up on people, even if that means getting walked over herself.

This girl next door persona of Beths often leads to people making assumptions about other aspects of her personality. Most assume that Beth is probably stupid, but she's one of the smartest girls around. Worse though, they think she's weak. It's easy for people to assume that Beth is the kind of girl who needs saving, but in reality nothing could be further from the truth. Beth hates to rely on others and even if she did need saving, she'd never admit it. In fact, she takes personal offence to people offering to help, because she assumes by doing so they thing she can't do something herself. One of the things Beth hates about her power is how powerless it makes her feel. But rather than sit around doing nothing about it, she's decided to learn how to fight. She wants to be able to protect herself and those she cares about because she couldn't live with herself if she needed to rely on others to take care of her.

A trait of hers people seem to overlook is her fierce determination; once she sets her mind on something she'll see it through till the end. No matter what. She's also one of the most motivated people you'll meet. Lazy is not a word used around her. She's always doing something, always working on some new big project or doing something amazing with her life. Her dedication to her work is inspiring and her dedication to herself is as well. Beth is always working to better herself, she just wants to be the best version of herself possible. But what people never seem to notice is the dark side of that trait. All they see is a girl who's dedicated to making something amazing and who never gives up until she's satisfied. They don't see how ridiculously high the standards are she has for herself, they don't see how much she beats herself up when something isn't perfect and they don't see the amount of stress she puts on herself.
Beth is one of the toughest girls around, emotionally. It takes a lot to make her cry and a lot to knock her down. Something being considered 'imperfect' in her eyes is one of those few things. Every now and then Beth will break under the stress and it's not a pretty sight. Beth considers herself to be self confident, but in reality her perfectionist side is just another form of insecurity. She finds her worth from being the best and if she's anything less, she thinks people won't like her. And if she's not perfect, she won't like herself either.

There's not really much to say about most of Beths life growing up. She had pretty much the most average, all American life imaginable. She grew up in a middle class family, to a business man dad and teacher mom. She was the oldest of 3 children, she went to a good public school, and attended church every Sunday with her family. It was the same life that most children around America experience everyday. That's not to say it was perfect, it had bad aspects too. For instance, her parents put a lot of pressure on her to succeed and often made her feel like her worth came from how high her grades were, or how nice she looked. But it was all trivial,normal problems like that and despite them she knew no matter what that her parents still loved her. Or so she thought, she learned the hard way that even a parents love isn't unconditional.

Beth was 12 when she first started to discover her powers. It started with a few dreams here or there that she thought nothing of, but when she started passing out and having visions that later came true, she begun to worry. She kept her abilities to herself, because she knew how people with powers were treated. She'd seen it in her town; people she knew, betrayed by their loved ones and taken away to never be seen or heard from again. She didn't want that to happen to her. But when she was 15 she had a vision of her mom dying and she couldn't keep it to herself any longer. She told her dad, but he laughed and told her she was being silly. Two days later though her dream came true, while walking in the afternoon her mom was hit by a car and killed.

It wasn't till after the funeral that her Dad connected the dots, but when he did he never treated her the same again. He wouldn't look her in the eye, he would avoid her around the house and when she tried to talk to him he would just grunt, still not meeting her eyes. She even over heard him telling her brother and sister not to talk to her, and they listened to him. Beth felt so helpless, she didn't know what her father was going to do; would he tell the authorities about her? She could only hope not. After 2 months of putting up with feeling like a stranger in her own home, Beth finally confronted her dad and forced him to talk. He went crazy, yelling at her, accusing her of killing her mother, saying she was a freak and telling her she was no longer his daughter.

It was actually her dad who contacted Xaviers school. Beth felt a swell of hope at the knowledge, after all he must still love her if he chose that path over handing her over to the government. But the hope was short lived. As she walked out the door for the school, her father told her not to contact him any more. His exact word were "you're dead to me now". She's now been at the school almost a month and she hasn't contacted him and he hasn't contacted her. But she knows it's for the best, now she can move forward with her life and into what the future holds.
