' A b i l i t i e s

• Power/s [/color] | X-23 is a clone of Logan, Aka Wolverine. She has the same quick regeneration powers from wounds like Logan and is immune to most poisons, diseases, and drugs. Her endurance, reflexes, and agility are enhanced along with her senses. She can hear and see things at a far distance and has the ability to recognize people and objects by scent. With that she can track creatures and things with almost perfect success. Being Wolverine’s clone, she has two retractable bone claws on each hand. These bone claws are coated in Adamantium allowing her to be able to cut through flesh and other materials. Also, because she is a clone of Wolverine, her aging process is slowed down.
• Flaw/s [/color] | Though X-23 has amazing regeneration abilities, it does not make her immortal. She still can die from blood-loss, the loss of a vital organ, and/or having her head cut off. Also extremely high doses of tranquilizer can knock her out for a short time. Another fatal flaw she has is a chemical compound called “trigger scent” that will send X-23 into an involuntary berserk rage when she smells it. In this rage, she will attack anything around her, enemies and allies.

• Overall Appearance[/color] | X-23 looks like a young female version of Wolverine, since she is his clone. She has long jet-black hair that seems to always be messy and green eyes. She is a height of 5’6” and never slouches. She doesn’t look very muscular and is slim, though that doesn’t mean she is lacking in strength. With her small size it makes it easy for X-23 to move around. Her form makes it so she is very flexible and nimble. Even though she cuts herself, there are no forms of any scars on her body since she has the same healing ability as Logan.

X-23 likes to wear blacks clothes that are consist of a black sleeveless shirt, arm braces, black pants and boots with one blade attached to the tip, like a third claw. She also always wears dog tags with 'X-23' etched in them around her neck. When her two blades are out on her hands, they are Adamantium blades easy for cutting into almost any material, considering its thickness. Her face is usually expressionless, except when she is fighting. When she fights, her face and movements are like that of a wild animal. She even growls like it sometimes. It’s worse when she smells the “trigger scent”.

• Overall Personality[/color] | X-23, or now know as Laura, is a very quite and calm young woman. She doesn’t speak much, using perfect grammar every time due to being raised in a controlled environment. She never uses slang and is always hard to read. Most of the time she will have this blank expressionless face, which makes extremely hard to tell what she is thinking if you aren’t a telepath. She cuts herself with her claws, which is something she has done since she was very young. She is highly trained in assignation and combat skills meaning she can kill dozens of heavily armed opponents in one encounter without remorse. Also, there is the “trigger scent”. When even Laura smells thins, he mind goes blank and she will attack and kill anything around her.

She was forced to reject any emotions that a normal person would have in order to become the perfect killing machine, so as a result she cannot understand most emotions people express. She does show some signs of humanity from time to time by spared some people’s lives on missions she had to do when she lived in The Facility.

Since becoming a X-Men, Laura has begun to have some of her humanity surface more and more. She began to make some friends and emotions like love and happiness have found their way into her heart. She hates being seen as a clone of Wolverine and wants to be recognized as an individual. She just wants to treated as a person like every else and not like some killing tool like before. She tries hard to understand what people say or do, sometimes asking very bold, yet blunt questions.

• Overall history[/color] | Unable to find any mutants that could survive the Weapon X procedure, Dr. Martin Sutter gave Dr. Sarah Kinney the task of creating a clone of the original Weapon X, Logan Howlett. However, the DNA they had from Wolverine had been damaged and they couldn’t produce a male clone. Kinney proposed they create a female clone. Dr. Zander Rice, who’s father had been killed by the raging Wolverine, argued against this, but in the end Sutter agreed with making the female clone as long as Kinney became the surrogate mother and she gave ‘birth’ to X-23.

Raised in captivity, X-23 was trained as living weapon. Kinney tried her best to have X-23 keep some of her humanity, but her efforts seemed in vain. When the girl was seven years old, Rice used radiation poisoning for the activation of her mutant powers. As soon as her bone claws were revealed, he coated them with Adamantium. After that, Rice created the “trigger scent” which caused X-23 to go into an involuntary berserk rage when she smelled it. Three years later she was sent to kill presidential candidate Greg Johnson.

After that her services were sold to the highest bidder for assassinations. Rice, as an act of revenge, abandoned X-23 in the middle of a very dangerous mission. She survived against all odds and returned to the facility. Rice then persuaded Sutter to give all projects with X-23 to him and secretly ordered her to kill Sutter and his family. He had revealed to Kinney just before firing her that there were many other female clones like X-23 in chamber pods. Just before fleeing the facility with X-23, Kinney gave one last order to her. It was to destroy the pods and kill Rice. While Rice dieing, he exposed X-23 and Kinney to the “trigger scent” and X-23 ended up killing Kinney. Kinney, as she lay dieing, named X-23 Laura.

She escaped and a pimp named Zebra Daddy who took and employed her as a prostitute two years later. During that time she suffered from self-mutilating disorder, cutting herself, and personality issues leaving her slightly mute and unable to get away from the pimp. She started to come to her senses when a young mutant named Kiden Nixon found her. She left with Kiden and a two other mutants. Zebra Daddy tracked Laura down, but her new found friends helped defeat his thugs. X-23 then ended up killing the pimp in order to save her friends. She later took a job which killed some people making it so it looked like Wolverine had killed them. The X-men got involved and X-23 instinctually attack Logan. He managed to calm her down and they helped her out with a situation in Paris. She fled after that only to show up and help the X-men save victims of a car crash. After that she enrolled into Xavier’s school.
