Electrical Form -
Adam's body can generate copious amounts of electricity and magnetic energy. Each and every one of his cells can generate this energy and when he charges up it causes them to glow a pale bright electric blue. Now this has lead to the belief that Adam is actually turning into electricity which is not the case. He simply has super charged cells that glow with the energy he can produce. One of the telltale signs that he isn't actually fully made from energy is that his teeth, which aren't organic cells, don't transform and the fact that his body is still solid and can make physical contact with anything tangible, however the charge goes all the way down to the marrow. However given time, practice , and training, his body could transform wholly into energy.

While all aglow with this energy, Adam can fly(at speeds upwards of 300 mph or more), project bolts of electricity, generate up to 5 terrawatts of electricity, and produce an electromagnetic force field with enough strength to act as a barrier from outside contact capable of stopping bullets or speeding cars, however without actual focus on the barrier, it can at most, slow a speeding bullet to the point that it causes bruising as opposed to the normal penetration. He can also produce magnetic force but as of current his ability to control such powers is very slim.

Adam subconsciously has enough control over the energy he generates that he can touch things and people without conduction, and can thus touch things and people without causing harm.

Adam can generate electricity without transforming but there are telltale signs as to what he's up to, such as glowing eyes and minor glowing in his limbs as power travels through him. Usually he does this when powering electronics or attempting to be inconspicuous.

He is also immune to electricity in either normal or charged up form seemingly absorbing it with no upward limit. He also has no need to breathe in electrical form as he is generating the energy his body needs to survive and does not fatigue. He however can remain in electrical form for about 2 hours before he needs to rest and refuel (ie eat and sleep)

When he takes electrical form or concentrates, Adam can also see all aspects of the electromagnetic spectrum and interact with the energy and wavelengths he can see through a combinatin of his powers.

Technopathy -
Adam also has the ability to communicate mentally with electronics and various other technological devices and beings as if he possessed telepathy. This allows him to mentally link with, control, and manipulate technological devices or cybernetic systems including computers and data. He can freely and easily manipualte and alter information even as it travels to other devices, sned enough information to overload most any storage device

This also means he can hear the 'thoughts' of electronics and speak with them as if they were sentient beings which to him, they seem to be. Usually a device has somewhat simple desires to do what it was created to do or to insight minor mayhem out of rebellion of the way it is treated. He has come across more than one malicious toaster and vehicles who sort of want to back over their owners. Without a system to connect to and use to piggyback his consciousness onto, his range is about a mile and a half.

He can mentally project his mind into and through cybernetic and virtual pathways to control, perceive, or communicate with and through a device through a network connection which could potentially involve the internet. Using this function of his ability is dangerous however as the internet is a vast system of data and information which without proper control, can easily overload Adam's mind but with focus he can think and operate with the mental acuity of a computer and know virtually anything that can be found on the internet, but he does not as of yet have the skill to achieve this properly.

While mentally projected Adam can form 'firewalls' and 'programs' and 'viruses' to aid him in his journey and partake in 'astral combat' as if he were a telepath. He can even 'download' electronic files into his brain to be extracted later or upload his own thoughts into files or programs. It seems his mind and brain is somewhat compuer like and designed to handle such massive data storage and computer language to the highest of degrees.

He can also make various communications with little more than a thought such as phone calls, texts, and emails.

Elelctromagnetic Vision -
Aided by his other powers, Adam can see and hear the entirety or portions of the electromagnetic spectrum allowing him to view wireless data transfers such as tv, radio and phone, satellite signals as well as the non visible forms of light, x and gamma rays and magnetic energy itself. He can even differentiate these signals on an individual basis to recognize specific signals.

Using this in combination with his other abilities Adam can also produce signals such as wifi (if close enough to an internet connection), television, radio, or microwave. Thus he can act as a communication hub and transfer messages in a myriad of different mediums. To do this at a greater range than 5 miles however he needs something to transmit a signal with such as a satellite, antennae, or a device which can be used to connect to the medium he wishes to use in the first place, most often he uses his personal cell phone who actually has somewhat of an attitude about getting used this way.

• Flaw/s [/color] | The first and foremost weakness Adam posseses lies in the fact that he is still human. While not in electrcal form Adam is just as vulnerable as any otehr human being, squishy and able to be beaten upon and possibley killed by every normal method with the exception of electrocution.

The next weakness lies in the fact that Adam, much like other youthful mutants, doesn't have a great amount of training with his powers and lacks true control right now. He does all he can to keep the images and millions of signals around him out of his brain and tries his damnedest not to invade people's privacy but it's all a bit much and try as he might sometimes he can't control it. More often than not, when he let's his guard down, he literally can't hear himself think over the myriad of signals that invade his brain. He also has a tendency to lash out mentally and make devices blow up (frying their processors and what not and occassionally literally making them explode) when he gets overwhelmed. When his powers first manifested he fried the entire 3 surrounding blocks worth of electronics with a wish for it all to just shut up. He has since developed a modicum of control, able to use his powers purposefully, but still has difficulty turning them off at times.

Next most notable is that Adam cannot use his technopathy in electrical form, as the electromagnetic barrier around him provides too much interference, and vice versa,he can't use his electric form while also using his technopathy, seemingly because when he tries he just winds up projecting electricity across the link originating from his body, thus it would seem he can only do one or the other at a time.

Magnetic powers also seem to have some baring upon his electricity form and electromagnetic field because they can alter and warp his energy around leaving exposed portions of his flesh with no protection.

His electricity also has no ability to deny the laws of physics, and electricity can't be forced to conduct through mediums that can't conduct electricity (like a vacuum) but he can overload even nonconductors and melt them with enough raw power pushed into it. He however has no particlar weakness to being grounded or submeged in water able to project electricity as normal however with much less control as the energy tries to escape through whatever pathway it can goin for path of least resistance despite his direction.

His technopathy does not work on non electrically powered devices. for example, though he has some control over most modern cars in the way that he can, turn them on, roll down the windows and lock the doors or open the trunk or set off the alarm, he can' force them to drive themselves or open the doors because these are mechanical processes not controlled by something electronic, but he could take full control of most robots, who are electrically mechanical.

While connected to network or computer, technically Adam's own brain could be counter hacked and accessed by someone else, and taken control of but that would take someone of extreme skill.

It is also notable that Adam's abilities could still increase and evolve to even higher levels but as of now he doesn't have the understanding of his abilities nor the control to achieve his full potential.

• Overall Abilities/ Skills[/color] | Performer: Adam first and foremost is a musician in his heart. He sings, dances and plays a whole host of instruments including guitar, piano, harmonica and the drums. He has aspirations of getting on broadway or having a music career of some sort, and given his natural talent, there's pretty much nothing standing in his way.

Athleticism: Because it looked cool when he was 13, Adam started free running and discovered that the coordination and exercise it provided, were amazing for staying in shape and he's been doing it ever since and has gotten pretty decent at it, making him a traceur. He is also a decent tennis player and a blue belt in karate.

Acting: Adam is a pretty good actor and his range of emotions and his raw vulnerabilities and keen observation skills and ability to pick up on things other people do and say have made him a great performer. It also has helped him develop excellent people reading skills and he notice subtlties in smeone's actions or words to determine a lot about them in a few moments. It has also afforded him pretty good people skills.

Academics: Adam is a smart kid and always has been and has always done excellently in school and retains much of his knowledge throughout the years, going so far as to previously tutor several of his classmates for a bit of an after school job.

• Overall Appearance[/color] | Adam looks a bit older than he actually is a lot of the time, something he attributes to his ability grow facial hair better than his peers and his 'soulful somewhat sad eyes'. He has a dense mass of curly dark hair on top of his head which he actually doesn't really love but can't do much about so he endeavors to keep it as short as possible otherwise it's just thick and damn near unmanageable.

He has the telltale broad shouldered form of a man and a rather fit body thanks to his constant activity. Standing at 5'11" and weighing around 167 lbs, he definitely fits the bill for what he does. His use of parkour and dancing keeps him in shape and has given him a rather muscular shape.

He has reasonably thick black triangular eyebrows over his hazel colored eyes that often have that far away look of a boy with his head in the clouds or lost somewhere in deep thought and philosophy. His eyes are probably the most expressive thing about Adam because they always seem to betray his real feelings, giving him a sort of vulnerability because how he feels is often written all over his face.

• Overall Personality[/color] | if three words had to be used to describe Adam in the most concise manner, those words would be 'likeable', 'quirky', and 'exuberant'. Adam has developed as a very happy seeming kid, always joking and trying to enjoy his life and get everybody else around him to live it up too. That isn't to say he can't be serious or that he doesn't have real aspirations. Lots of people say they want to be famous or use their talents and then just squander them or never put in the work but Adam isn't that sort of kid. He's ambitious even though few people ever get to see that part of him. he never gives up and has a tenacity about him that is somewhat endearing.

Never one to be shy about anything or embarrassed by the small things, he's likely to do anything or say anything for a laugh. It's sort of a coping mechanism, the fun. he doesn't like to slow down because the world sucks and the slower you go through it and the less exciting you keep it, the more likely you become to see that its all going down hill and that you're just another speck in the crowd.

Perhaps the only thing Adam is shy about, or cautious I should say, is in love. He isn't so free with his heart and his affection as he is about just about everything else. he knows he has a raw vulnerability in him, not unlike most artists, and he doesn't want to get hurt and put himself out there. Not to mention being gay isn't all rainbows and streamers, despite how it seems to look. Not every guy is gay nor are they flattered when they get complimented, or hit on or flirted with and Adam knows that all too well and isn't really about inviting himself into a fist in the gut or face.

Actually, Adam can't stand to watch someone else get oppressed or ridiculed and endeavors to advocate agaisnt prejudice and hatred turned on anyone for any reason, be they woman, gay, mutant or crazy purple alien. He accepts everyone for what they are even if some would say they don't deserve it and he tries his best to learn about other people and never judge.

Adam is perfectly ok with being a mutant for the most part. Sure it makes him different but what has ever been wrong with that? In fact his only problem is with his powers and the stress they cause him and the power he has in this day and age. It's a lot of responsibility and a lot of power and he isn't sure if he can cope with it all but he's at the least going to try for his own sake, if not for those around him.

• Overall history[/color] | Adam Arthur Argent was born to Elaine and Christopher Argent one mid July day. He was their first born and afforded all of their love starting out because he was always a well behaved and happy sort of baby. He didn't pine for attention or cry for no obvious reasons. He just was around and well mannered.

Well that was until he learned to talk and walk on his own. Then he was an utter delight to the two of them who didn't have much going for them other than having jobs and a place to live. But it became abvious pretty quickly that Adam had something special about him, because he was always rather... empathetic compared to other children. If his parents were sad he did his best to cheer them up resorting to being an adorable little kid. It was doing little things like that that set him apart at first. Even when they had their second son, Jack, Adam wasn't jealous and was always trying to be helpful, perhaps overly so.

Then it happened. He displayed his talent. One day Jack wouldn't stop crying and Elaine was too busy arguing with a bill collector on the phone over something or other, and Adam took it upon himself to help with the infant and started singing for little Zack. It wasn't anything extra special, nursery rhymes he'd been learning in preschool and Disney songs he'd learned from his almost never ending use of the VCR.

From then it was on. Adam sang whenever he could because even his brother was captivated by his voice. His mom made him do it for his dad and he was blown away and their praise filled him with joy, and he kept it up all throughout out school, getting better and better and getting into music.

By Middle school he could play the guitar and he was in dance classes despite the ridicule of the other boys , who Adam wanted nothing more than to befriend but he didn't really know why he wanted their friendship. That was until he was around 13 and everyone else was getting fascinated by girls and he couldn't see what was so wonderful about them.

He did ,however, have one thing that most boys didn't have, the friendship of a lot of the other girls. This eventually evolved into the understanding that Adam was gay, and try as he might to deny it and pretend otherwise, it never felt right in his heart and eventually he gave up on it, and came out. This lead to some more bullying for him but nothing more than the usual and nothing he couldn't handle by needling the bullies about their own insecurities, much to their displeasure of course.

But fate is obviously a cruel mistress because Adam couldn't simply be a little different, he had to got the whole nine yards. At the age of 15, Adam, began to have headaches sometimes but the doctor couldn't find anything wrong with him so he bared with it , often crying himself silently to sleep at night from the pain. Then in his dreams he'd begin to see lines of electricity and images and words an TV programs and imageless conversations to some not so ... family friendly sources.

Eventually these voices and words and pictures and whatnot began to slip into his waking hours and Adam was finding it hard to listen to his friends when they'd talk and text at the same time or when they got together to play Call of Duty or something his headache would soon start and he'd excuse himself to go home, and basically hallucinate his way their, seeing streams of light and hearing things that sounded like the radio and tv. Then he'd get there and curl up in his bed and hold his ears to no avail and plug in his iPod and drown out everything but the music.

Eventually, one night just before school started up again, After crying for almost an hour Adam realized the words were starting to die down and he felt tingly all over. Opening his eyes he could see his room in stark contrast bathed in sheer electric blue light shadows sharp and everywhere. As his wits slowly came back to him, he realized he was at a weird angle and the room was moving a little. Looking around he found that he was floating above his bed and what was worse, HE was the source of the light. But before anything more really happened, gravity gripped him and he flailed and the glow flickered and died and Adam flopped ungracefully back on his bed.

He was terrified. Why shouldn't he have been? This was worse than being gay. He was....A........Mutant. How could he be a mutant? Sure he didn't hate them or anything like everyone else out there. Hell he'd jumped in front of a fist for the guy that got found out as a mutant, but to actually be one? What would he do if someone found out and how was he going to keep it a secret? He didn't even know what his powers were and hell he figured someone was already on their way to haul him off.

So over the next few weeks, Adam figured it out. He was talking to and hearing electronics. He figured it out when he realized one of his dreams during a nap, was actually his next door neighbor's wife, stripping on cam for some perv in Canada. It was growing more difficult to control too because, one day during a math test right after school started, he whispered stop and every calculator in the room shut off and so did the entire classroom. He was happy though for the silence and free A on his test.

But pretty soon he couldn't handle the migraine as the technological world at large tried to insert its way into his brain as a garbled mess and crying out in frustration one afternoon after school, Every electronic device for 3 blocks overloaded and several overheated and blew up as he found out later, thanks to the news.. Adam himself was soon glowing and their were holes in his clothes as electricity arced across the room and pretty soon his bedroom was on fire, and his brother was in his doorway trying to figure out what was going on. The glow fortunately had receded almost immediately but both boys were trying to put out the fire with an extinguisher. But now Adam knew he had to do something to get this under control before someone was seriously injured. The few old people in the area had almost died as their pacemakers went into overdrive and then stopped and Adam couldn't handle the thought of killing someone and so he started his search for a place to go for help, that wasn't obvious, like Genosha. Plus he didn't have a passport.

In his search Adam easily found Xavier's and after a few phone calls, he had set up a visit for himself, solo to see if he could push himself into coming out to his parents as a mutant.
