Just two years ago the world erupted in a massive fight between humans and mutants, X-Men and Brotherhood. In the midst of certain failure, the X-Men triumphed and overcame the Brotherhood. Forcing the Brotherhood back to their island nation, Genosha, the X-Men quickly set about to fix relations between mutants and humans. Now, two years later, things are just barely back to the way they used to be, with humans fearful of mutants, yet not ready to take up arms against the race.
Many changes have been made since the X-Men have once again defeated their foe, changes on both ends. The original X-Men have stepped back, focusing much of their time on running the school and helping other mutants to understand their powers. The original team is now considered to be the Elite team, used only when extreme measures must be taken. New faces fill the ranks of current X-Men team, and new students are just beginning their first semester at school.
As for the Brotherhood, their ranks are filling with new faces as well. Magneto still leads the forces, and is said to be accumulating mass amounts of mutants on Genosha. Being declared a no-fly zone for other nations, no one is sure just how many mutants Magneto has brought together.
Stand beside the victorious and add your name to history as one of the famed X-Men or take up the devious ways of the Brotherhood, striking when everyone least expects it.

The President of the United States has been made aware of several state office buildings crumbling to dust all over the country, within minutes of each other. Mutants were caught on security footage as the attackers, setting off internal alarms all over Washington D.C. Some eye-witnesses claim government conspiracy, and scream it to the media. Nonetheless, secret meetings were called in order to find a solution to the problem, and speculate the next move. The conference lasted for days, each member debating their own plans to handle the situation. In the end, two parties spoke louder than the rest.
The first act would be Operation: Zero Tolerance. The failed plans of Bolivar Trask would be resurrected and given a much needed make-over. The Mark II sentinels would be deployed to the country, where they will monitor mutant activities. Any illegal use of mutant powers against property or humans would result in the capture and containment of the involved mutants.
The next act would be Operation: Tanks. The tanks are a military group comprised solely of mutants. Though it took much convincing, it was clear that the only way to fight mutants was to use mutants. The tanks are offered complete control of their powers, no matter their age, in return for loyalty. It was discovered through research that doctors could unlock the part of the mutant brain that enabled them to control their powers; while doing the procedure, doctors would implant a small tracking chip as well as power inhibitor to ensure no tanks go rogue. Tanks must give up all affiliation with known mutant groups, and should they use their powers outside of approved government missions, home base will disarm their powers and bring them back to Washington D.C. to await a trial.
In deploying these two operations, it is the President's hope that all illicit mutant activity will come to a halt, giving the humans more time to discuss plans for the future in the long-run.
