Victor looked down at her as she stood infront of him. "I guarantee nothing." How could he honestly tell her that he wouldn't try it? He couldn't even tell her that he wouldn't try killing her either now or further down the road. The animal side of him was far too unpredictable that way. She would have to trust in the fact that he cared about her and hopefully she was smart enough to keep the animal from surfacing. And if it happened well then to get out of the way before he did something he might actually regret. Not that he would admit such a thing.
He had protected her from a few sentinels before and that wasn't enough to remind her that he cared for her? Certainly if he cared for her then he cared for their child as well. She just needed to stay on the good side of that animal that fumed within him like a tiger in a small cage.
Victor continued to look at her with that stoic look while she stood there in his way. He wasn't going to sugar coat things for her. She was going to have to decide.

She stared at him, studying his face. He really couldn't guarantee her anything. The animal inside him wouldn't let him. She already knew that before she had even asked so why did she ask? For her own comfort? She continued to stare at him as she studied his face. The face she had come to be so familiar with. She didn't want him to walk away. It showed that he cared for her just by the fact that he had traveled over seas to tell her to come home. It showed that she was more than just a plaything to him. She knew he would have never done that before.
Phoenix smirked a little at him. It was almost like the smirk she had first given him when they had first met. That evil sadistic smirk. But now it was different. it was tinged with amusement and more feelings than even she could describe. She nodded.
"I'll come home with you. Just give me a day or two to pack things up. I went a little crazy with shopping while I was here. "
She turned and started walking out of the cove and back towards the large house she had been staying in. It was big and elaborate just how she liked it. There were a lot of french doors and open bay windows that let the sun and the ocean breeze in. She walked through the front entrance and back to her bedroom.
