Izabelle was hiding out in a little room inside one of the secret passages. The room being more of an alcove that you could hide in and was big enough to say house a desk should she want it too. Of course that meant that she didn't want it too and that it was big enough for her to have out her books and other things scattered about her. Currently she was trying to making one of her books fly for her. She had cut herself earlier and had put a band aid on it but not before she let some of it fall on the book that she was concentrating on at the moment. Giving life or animating a book was not an easy thing to do. Soon enough through it was flying about her that was until she lost concentration and it fell on her head. She cursed softly to herself and sighed. One of these days she's get it right and she wouldn't have it hitting her in the head when she lost concentration or when her blood dried.
Izzy had been a little out of it lately. She was wondering what trouble her eldest brother was getting himself into and why she hadn't heard from him in a bit. She figured he was busy doing whatever it was that he did. She could at least keep tabs on one brother. Alucard was here at school with her but even she seemed to avoid him. She wasn't trying to it was just that she wasn't a people person most of the time and she choose to stay in the shadows. That was not to say that she wasn't social at all just not many people liked what she liked and most other thought her odd for it so she kept to herself. She shrugged her shoulders and began to hum to herself. She was getting bored and someone else should be coming down the passages sooner or later. Maybe they would relieve her of her boredom.
She was going to have to talk to her brother at some point too. After all he was helpful when it came to helping her if he felt like it. He had the manipulation thing down better than she did.

The Nightshade family, when you thought about it, was much smaller then you would think. You had three families to be exact, Joseph's, Yukon's, and Kyo's. The oldest, Joseph and his wife Andromeda had two children, Shadow (who had died about a year ago) and Parker. Her father, Yukon, and mother Anya, had two as well, herself and Sky, as well as a granddaughter (Sky's) named Syrena. Then, you had Kyo and his wife Morgan and their four children, Dalacur, Dracaul, Alucard, and Izabelle. That was it. The extent of the Nightshade family. And, since Rose's 'suicide', she'd run into almost every single one of them. Originally, it was supposed to be a secret that she'd actually survived, but Parker and Sky had found out (hard not to with their annoying telepathic powers), then Parker had spilled the beans to Alucard, then Dalacur had figured it out on his own, and in turn told Dracaul. It seemed the only one who didn't know Rose was still alive was the youngest, Izabelle. But fate seemed determined to change that. Izabelle was a student now.
Rose had gone out of her way to avoid her only (living) female cousin since hearing about her enrollment. But... How long could she keep it up? They'd run into each other eventually. Izabelle would figure it out, just like Dalacur (Izabelle and her oldest brother had a bond that was rivaled only by Rose's and Sky's.). Sure, Rose didn't look the same (plastic surgery could do wonders), but it was close enough that any Nightshade would make the connect eventually. And all of this could have been avoided if Parker hadn't told Alucard. Curse Parker.
Muttering a string of Russian profanities under her breath, Rose forced herself away from her thoughts. She was stalling, she knew that. She also knew where Izabelle was currently hiding, so she might as well just get this over with.
Moving swiftly and silently, she weaved her way through the maze like passages, having memorized them when she was a student herself. Actually, when she was a student, she'd used the exact same little nook Izabelle had found for similar reasons. Back then, The Nightshades reputation was.... far less honorable. Still, many students were reluctant to befriend, or even be near, a Nightshade. But back then, you so much as said the name and people flinched...
Rose reached the small room around the time the book dropped on Izabelle's head. The girl wasn't looking in her direction, so the older Nightshade quickly took a step back, as if to make sure she really wanted to do this. She waited several moments, until Izabelle had started humming, before stepping out fully, leaning against the wall with her arms folded across her chest. "Are you sure you have enough room to practice that sort of power in here? It's a bit small." She didn't introduce herself. No, she'd wait, and watch. She'd give Izabelle some time to try and figure it out on her own...

The youngest of the Nightshade family was usually kept in the dark about things that had been going on with the rest of the family. As a matter of fact she came from what would be considered the lower branch of it. She was not the only female but she was the youngest female and by being so was told not to worry about too many things when it came to family mishaps so to speak. She wasn't exactly stupid in that department she knew when things were going on. She was a Nightshade after all and she was curious about everything and always had been. These days it didn't show as much as it did the other days but still it showed a bit. She had wondered what had happened with one of her older cousins. She had seen shadow at family events and then he was gone. The next family event was his funeral. She wasn't sure how he had died and no one would really tell her anything about it. She figured she'd have to find that out on her own but so be it.
Then her cousin Rose had committed suicide and she never felt right about that one. Something was all wrong but she couldn't put her finger on it. Still she hadn't a clue that Rose was still alive. It was just that she hadn't been able to attend the funeral for her. She couldn't remember why at the moment. It might have been because of getting into school or another one of those failed attempts to see what was mentally wrong with her. She could care less really. She was kept out of the loop unless her eldest brother told her something. However, much like Dal she had a way of finding things out before her told her too. Still so many things happened in her small little family that it was hard to keep track of all of them and at the current moment she didn't give a care. She was far to intrigued with trying to figure out how to control her powers just right.
There were not many people that used the little room she was sitting in. Sure most of the other Nightshades knew about it if they went to school and those that choose the darkness but not many people actually spent the hours that Izabelle spent in them. Well okay she didn't know of anyone who had spent as much time here as she had. She was rubbing her head and huming to herself trying to figure out if she wanted to take out her small knife and cut herself to make something else. She was right in the middle of cutting herself when she heard movement and then a voice. She put the knife down and cleaned it off. Looking at the small cut she'd made on her wrist and watching the blood. "well that all depends on what you think i'm doing. And how big of a space you think I should have. I find it works rather well in small places." There was a faint giggle to her voice but it was also dark. Not something many thought would come from the youngest of the Nightshades who wasn't commonly seen speaking at any point in time really.
Moments later there was a little squeak. It sounded like a mouse and should someone actually look at her there would be a mouse sitting on her wrist. She looked up at the person who had spoken. She had her arms crossed and was older than she was but something felt familiar. The voice seemed like someone that she knew but she wasn't sure at the moment. She wasn't going to ask the question either. She went to cleaning her wound and covering it so that she could play with her little mouse which now crawled up her arm and sat on her shoulder.

Izabelle was definitely a Nightshade, in so much that Rose almost cracked a smile. Her youngest, and only living female cousin wasn’t fazed by Rose’s sudden appearance, in fact, she acted like she’d known Rose was there the whole time. It was doubtful she had, but it just went to show, some personality traits were genetic.
”I’m sure it does. But that doesn’t challenge you much, does it?” Like Izabelle, Rose didn’t even blink by the young girl’s cutting, or even the sudden appearance of the mouse. Actually, she looked even less fazed then Izabelle had, as if it was the most normal thing she’d seen all day. ”But, considering the fact that you dropped a book on your own head, perhaps it is wise you stay in such a confined space. Wouldn’t want to drop animate objects on other people’s heads, now would we?” A smile, that was just as dark as the younger girl’s giggle, softly touched Rose’s lips, in a sort of “I know something you don’t” way.
She shrugged off the wall, taking a step closer, but not yet entering the room, for fairly obvious reasons. Izabelle was a Nightshade after all, a young one, but one none the less. If she were anything like Rose, which she wasn’t sure of (since the last time she hadn’t seen Izabelle in so long), she wouldn’t take kindly to a stranger invading her space. But staying out of the room, Rose was respecting Izabelle’s bubble. ”I’m surprised. Most Nightshades your age would be a bit more… advanced, but that couldn’t be your fault. No doubt your brother’s are to blame.”

Izabelle usually wasn't ever fazed by sudden appearances. Actually she was paranoid from incidents as a child that she kept herself alert even when people didn't think she was. Sure she could be caught off guard but no one liked doing that to her. That was liable for you to get cut by an animated knife working on its own free will. Her mind giggled at the thought none of the animated objects she'd make would ever be doing anything on their free will. Her creatures he hadn't even granted that either. Then again they had minds of their own it was just that they were controled by her inner thoughts. At the moment she wanted a buddy and so the mouse had appeared out of her blood and move so she could clean. It would be there until she dismissed it which would then mean she would clean up the blood and drink it. Not that anyone knew that much. She was from that part of the Nightshade family.
"Well actually it does present a sort of challenge. After all I'm trying to keep things confinded so that i can do it both unconfinded and confinded properly." She was an intelligent young girl. Sure trying to make a book fly in a confinded space was not a good idea and it was highly likely she'd get a book to the head but if she learned how to do that then there wouldn't be a problem when she took it to bigger place. Least that was the way she thought. She liked learning things the hard way. It always made life more interesting that way. The only reason Izabelle made een the slightest movement as the mouse appeared was because of the fact that she had to make sure she didn't bleed anymore. It wasn't like she could get blood from just anyone. She giggled darkly at the others comment about books heading other people in the head. "Well that all depends on if the person had pissed me off or not." She was suprised at herself really. She hadn't made to knock this person away yet. However, the other female had not invaded her space either.
Izabelle looked a Rose for a long time. Then she said something about her family that would give any Nightshade away. Most people didn't know how her brothers treated her and for this person to know they would have to know the family intimately. "Rose?" She said the name in barely a whisper. She gave the other another look over. Familiarity was something she knew she was getting but could it truly be Rose. After all she'd found out that she was supposed to have died. Could it be that she didn't and that she was standing here now. "I've killed before so I wouldn't say I'm lacking in that department. Though this animating thing takes more concentration then I'd like it too." The mouse moved from her and went to circling Rose trying to find a way up the other girl's leg to get to her arm or something of the likes. "My brothers are just being brothers..." That was all she could say to that. It could be possible that her brothers were the reason she wasn't as advanced but still she kept herself in the spot she was in too. She didn't exactly want to make another blood bath happen it was freaky enough the first time.

Rose had to remind herself that, out of the four Nightshade siblings, Izabelle was like Dalacur the most. Dalacur, the cunning, brilliant, and insane, oldest had figured out who she was with out any huge hints from her in minutes. Dracaul, the second oldest, who was the humblest and most laid back of his siblings, had only found out because he was there when Dalacur figured it out. Alucard, who seemed to care more about books and knowledge then his siblings, hadn't found out until Parker quite literally told him. And Izabelle, the spoiled baby of the family, somehow ended up being the most like Dalacur, and like him had discovered Rose's secrets in minutes. Rose had to hand it to her cousin, for a fourteen year old, she was pretty smart.
Izabelle sounded almost... unsure as she softly whispered Rose's name, as if she was seeing a ghost. All Rose did, was smile. "Hello, Izabelle. It's been a long time." was all Rose said to her youngest cousin. It was always strange, remeeting her family. They'd all been told she was dead. Sky had been absolutely convinced her little sister was dead, and thus shared the news with her whole family. Rose was curious how everyone had reacted, now that she thought about it. Sky, of course, had been devastated, as had their parents (she knew because when she'd recalled her memories she'd contacted them..). But what about her cousins? Her Aunts and Uncles? Alucard had made it seem like he cared, since he had an emotional breakdown when he found out she was alive, but she didn't quite believe that was the reason.
Her gaze lowered to the animated blood mouse as it circled her, searching for anyway to climb up the older girl. Shrugging, she reacted down, scooping it up into her hands as she crossed the small room and sat down next to her cousin. "I wouldn't know, no brothers, remember?" She smirked a little, before continuing. "Well, you are a lot better at it then the last time I saw you, I'll give you that. "

Izabelle was compared to Dal most of the time. It might be due to the fact that she clung to her eldest brother so closely when she was a child. Or maybe it was because her personality fit with his so well. She never was really sure but of all her siblings she was definitely Dal's shadow. She didn't much care what other thought though. She was perfectly fine being compared to her eldest brother. After all he spoiled her rotten sometimes and who wouldn't like that out of an older sibling. Izabelle would likely flip a gasket or two of something gravely bad happened to Dal. She wouldn't be as crazy if something seriously bad happened to the other two. She's be pissed mind you and out for blood but she would just all over flip out. She's be lost if she didn't have Dal around to help her make sense of some of the things that she went through. She shook off that thought and continued to look at Rose.
Rose was supposed to be dead. However, Izabelle had never truely believed it. It was hard to believe someone was dead when you hadn't seen their body in the first place. As in Shadow's case she knew very well that Shadow was gone. Izabelle hadn't exactly had much contact with Rose over the years so her stating her name as a question wasn't of disbelief but of mere I got that right type of thing for her own mind. Rose was smiling at her so she supposed all was well. "It has been some time now." She hadn't exactly been counting on how long she'd seen the whole family. Shadow's furneral was the last time for her. "Never had the chance to give my condolences to your parents or sister. Was a little tied up at the time." It would be hard to tell how Izabelle felt about the whole thing. Again she had never actually believed that Rose was truly gone but there was no way to really explain that. There would be no emotional tears or breakdowns from her. And when she was told she was on too many medications for her to have actually fully comprehended anything. That was part of the reason why she didn't remember where she was at the time she was told.
Izabelle watched with a slight smile on her face as Rose bent down and picked up the mouse. The mouse seemed content to settle anywhere the older girl felt like putting it. Rose sat down next to Izabelle causing her to move over just a slight bit. She wasn't comfortable with having anymore too close to her. The mouse seemed to react to her movement too fidgetting just a little bit before calming down once again. There were very few people who could get close to Izabelle enough to touch her and it happened to be any of her her brothers and that was about it. Most people just stayed away and she liked it that way. She didn't exactly like being touched and sometimes it would cause her to flip out which would not end well for the person who had touched her. Izzy laughed when Rose made a comment about not having brothers. "I've always wondered what it would be like to have a sister."
Izzy rolled her eyes at Rose's last comment. Of course she was a lot better. On top of that Izzy knew she had a lot more to work on two. Not everyone could be completely perfect regardless of what each person thought of themselves. She was happy for the momet just doing her own thing. "So how have you been?" Izabelle was always awkward with conversation and she was reaching her caring limit at the moment.

((Sorry it took so long to post! D: ))
Rose was almost waiting for Izabelle to have a similar reaction to the news of her survival as Alucard had. Loss of control, leading to her having to retrain her younger cousin until she calmed down. That wasn’t what happened. Instead, Izabelle had a totally opposite reaction. She took the news in stride with only a small hiccup, recovering quickly. ”Let’s see…. I believe the last time I saw you, you were…. Oh, maybe only four at the oldest.” Rose couldn’t help but smile at this, and the fact that Izabelle looked almost exactly like a true Nightshade, with the same dark hair and eyes as Rose. In fact, the two looked like they could be sisters, not just cousins.
”It’s probably a good thing you didn’t talk to them. I heard Sky when a bit off the deep end with grief, hormones probably didn’t help either.” Rose rarely felt pity for anyone, but she was a little for anyone that had messed with Sky at that time.
Rose pretended not to notice Izabelle’s reaction to her sitting next to the younger girl. Instead, she focused on the conversation. ”Oh, it’s nothing special. Sky spent a lot of my developmental years seeing how much make-up she could cake onto my face.” At least, until Parker and Shadow came into the picture. Things changed when the cousins met for the first time, but that was a different story…
The awkward ‘How have you been’ made the older Nightshade laugh. ”Oh, that’s a long story. Ten years to be specific. Did you want me to share everything, or just since my suicide attempt?”
