Victor had frozen when he saw Phoenix in the state that she was in. He felt like his heart was breaking for her. How was that even possible. It wasn't until he saw the blood dripping from her mouth that he grew especially concerned. It may have not shown on his face but he didn't skip a beat before he was scooping her up into his arms and leaving the room. At this rate he wasn't sure if she was going to last the trip it took to get to where they needed to go. Perhaps he should have said something to try and calm her...but there was nothing he could think of.
* * *
Once they reached the mansion it was raining, not just any rain but a pouring rain. It was as if the world around him understood how he felt even if he wasn't able to truely show it. He had Phoenix in his arms again. His mind was racing with thoughts of what the X-Men would do and what was going to happen but at that moment he didn't care about it. He would deal with it later. The main gate was jumped over with the sheer strength of his legs and he walked to the main door as if he owned the place. He carried her to the door and literally kicked that large wooden door in to give them entrance. Wood shattered in several directions as they walked in drenched from the rain and tracking that water within. He walked a few feet inside, glancing around to see who would have heard the not so subtle entrance he made. "I need to talk to McCoy. Now!" His voice boomed and lingered with a growl while his grip upon Phoenix remained strong but gentle all at once.

Phoenix didn't have time to think before Victor pulled her into his arms and held onto her. His face had been one of terror and pain before he cloaked in again. In that instant she grew even more afraid. If he was scared then what hope did she have? She let out a pained noise as he picked her up and jostled her one broken rib. She coughed again and more blood came up with it. Not as much as before but enough to scare her even more.
Victor ran with her and she glanced up to see the mansion of the X-Men looming closer to them. The heavens were pouring down upon them soaking her to the bone. She held onto him and dug her nails into his shirt as the baby kicked again and another rib cracked. She screamed out as the pain seeped through her body and tears sprung to her eyes. Why was he taking her here? She didn't want the X-Men to know about her baby. They would kill it. She knew they would. They would try to take it form her and if they couldn't they would kill it. She was dead set on that right as he kicked in the large door that led into the interior of the mansion. Her breathing was heavy as she held onto him as another kick broke through and cracked another rib and she screamed out again, black dots appearing in line of vision. Her skin was pale and her breathing was labored as she looked around uttering a only two words before her body went limp in his arms as she lost consciousness.
"Victor...no..."

Victor frowned as he saw her lose consciousness. He had to do something and while his plan might have been a little on the over exagerated side, Alex suddenly appeared. Helpful girl... Though he couldn't help but to snarl slightly in the thought of he leading him into a trap. But as she disappeared down the hall he followed her. Hoping that this doctor would be able to help the woman that he had cradled in his arms. Once they reached the infirmary he snarled as there wasn't any doctors around. He walked to a bed to lay Phoenix out upon it before his attention turned back to the girl whom had vanished. She had better have gone to find Beast. If he had to find the doctor he doubted it was going to be a pleasant scene. He would have dragged the man to the infirmary kicking and screaming if necessary.
He lingered there for a moment, attempting to be patient while he looked Phoenix over. He frowned while he watched her skin grow pale. "Stay with me Darlin'." He said it softly, only wishing for her to hear it of course.

Alex continued to run down the halls trying to find Dr. M you would think that a big furry guy would be easy to spot in a school but thankfully it didn't take to long for her to fine him she ran up to him and stoped right in frount of him and pulled his arm a little bit and started talking a million miles an hour.
“Dr. McCoy some hear for you they have a girl who like looks dead in his arm but I don't think she is maybe just past out of something but she has blood on her he looking for you The guy looks kind of scary thought like he has claws but not like logans you know these ones are on his finger nails and he looks really mad I think you should help him isn't that what we do hear is help other people he knows you is he a friend of yours but we better hurry he looks really mad I told him everything whould be o.k but being that it looks like there blood on the lady’s mouth im not sure you know cause that a bad thing can you fix her Dr. M I know you can your real smart like that”

Jean had been in the back in the lab part of the infirmary running test and doing research. She had been trying to figure out how she had blacked out so many times without her even realizing it. How she had gotten the long scars on her hip that made Logan stare at them with disgust and hate. He never let her see it though, or well he thought that she never saw it. But she did. She saw the way he looked at them and she wondered what it was about. He wouldn't tell her.
The red headed doctor sighed as she lifted her eyes from the microscope she had been looking at her blood in. She rubbed her tired eyes. Maybe the Phoenix was back but where was she now? Jean hadn't blacked out in a long time. It was odd that the Phoenix would have a burst of energy and then just disappear. She didn't even feel her in her mind anymore. She usually felt a spark of fire in the back of her mind but she didn't feel that anymore. She was holding her clipboard as she walked into the main part of the infirmary. She stopped and almost dropped the clipboard in her hands as she looked up and saw Victor Creed standing there next to a bed that was holding a woman. She was obviously pregnant and in distress from the look of her. But Jean was scared of Victor. She was stuck in her place as she stood there looking at the pair.
"Wh-what are y-you doing here?"

Hank had been reading a book quietly near a window. He was actually reading it upside down, not the book...he was the one upside down. Ape like feet had a nice grip of the rafters above. But once Alex came up to him he pulled his glasses down from his face and listened to her ramble on like she did. A man with claws that asked for him? Was it really who he thought it was?
He frowned slightly and in a fluid movement let go of the beam and flipped about to rest his feet upon the floor again. Without a word he went towards the infirmary. It sounded very serious and the faster he got there the faster he would be able to help after all.
It wasn't until he entered the infirmary that he realized the true circumstances of the situation. Oddly enough there stood Victor Creed, drenched from the rain and looming over a woman on the medical bed. He ignored Jean for the moment as he walked past her and looked Phoenix over. He hadn't seen the woman before so he had no idea who she was but it was obvious that she needed help. Large blue fingers moved over to feel her pulse. "Oh dear..." He turned quickly to find a tray of supplies that he would need, he even gathered a few other things. His complete attention was upon the woman and didn't even seem to notice the way Victor stood there staring at everything that he did.
The hard part was that this woman was pregnant so whatever he needed to do was going to effect the child as well. He injected her with a liquid that would sedate her more permanently than the unconciousness that the pain had created. It wasn't enough to hurt the child, not that he was fully aware of the situation. But once Phoenix was more stable he was finally able to turn his attention to Victor. "Perhaps a little more information is in order." He knew Creed wouldn't spill his guts so easily but without this information it would be hard for him to help her. "What happened?" The X-man in him jumped to conclusions that Victor was the cause of this woman's distress...but the doctor in him was giving the man the benefit of the doubt. He had brought her here after all...

The last thing Phoenix could remember she was in Victor’s arms looking around at the interior of the mansion the X-Men occupied. She had been in so much pain and distress she hadn’t been thinking clearly. Her only thought was why had he brought her here? Why had he brought her to the people she hated who would surely take her baby away from her. Then everything went black and the pain was gone. She had no idea that she was sedated in the infirmary. She had no idea that Hank McCoy and Jean Grey were there along with a student. She didn’t know about any of this. She just knew the darkness.
Then everything changed. Her mind became a landscape of a city in ruins. She was standing on a cliff overlooking the city that used to be known as The Big Apple but now it was a pile of buildings falling apart. Fires and riots had broken out on the streets. She walked along them looking around at everything. There were bodies littering the sidewalks and streets. As she neared central park she looked up to see Victor standing at the entrance waiting for her. Her smiled his signature smirk and put an arm around her shoulders as they continued to walk into the park.
There was blood on his claws and as she looked down she saw that there was blood on her hands as well. They had killed tonight but where were they going now? Why leave the streets that were still harboring humans that needed to be taught a lesson? Her question was soon answered without her even asking it. As they neared a pavilion that once held rallies there gathered in front of the stage were mutants of all kinds. Victor steered her towards the stage and once they were on it she looked up as another mutant walked on as well. She was young. Slim in build, long brunette hair that bounced with curls, and yellow eyes that burned with power. Yellow eyes of an animal. An animal she knew all too well, Victor. Power radiated around the young girl. She flexed her hands and Phoenix looked down to see sharp claws retracting on the tips of her fingers. She walked over to them with a smirk and Phoenix got the slightest glimpse of a very sharp canine tooth. The young brunette was shorter than her seeing as she was only a teenager. Her yellow eyes brightened as she got closer and her mouth opened to speak one word that took Phoenix’s breath away.
”Mother.”

Alex let Dr. McCoy run off ahead of her but she was right behind him almost skipping along like nothing was wrong and this was an everyday thing that happen once inside the infirmary Alex found her self a seat and sat down to watch the show and to be as helpful as she could be in her mind she had been the first to see the two and she had gotten Hank so this ment that she needed to help as much as she could now things would of been different if she did know that they where both brotherhood members but they where good guys as far as she knew.
“O jean Hi I didn't see you there I'm hear to help any way I can this is going to be fun I mean it a bit scarry but you and Dr. McCoy are both hear so you will be able to help the lady wont you o and don't worry I don't really have a problem with blood I wont puke or anything I mean i'm not 100% use to it but I can handle this...Jean....you o.k you look sick it o.k it just blood your a docter you see it all the time” Alex turned back to Hank who she knew full well was working “So is there anything I can do or do you just want me to sit hear” She smiled and then up at Victoer “HI my name is Alex”

Jean stood there staring at the woman on the table and the man whom she was having bloody flashbacks about. Her eyes turned to the claws on his hands. Had he been the one to give her the scars on her hip? Her hand lightly ran over her hip bone that would be forever marked. But what was he doing here and with a woman who was pregnant? Had he hurt her? If so then why would he bring her here for help? She heard a very peppy and upbeat voice next to her as Hank came in. She looked over and saw Alex, a junior here at the school. She knew Alex pretty well.
”I’m fine, Alex. I’m sure we can help her.”
She wasn’t sure actually. They didn’t know what was wrong with her and it was a high possibility that Victor Creed would not tell them everything they needed to know. There was something unsettling about all of this and Jean didn’t know what it was. Her mind was being pulled toward the woman by a part that was deep in the back of her mind. The part that had held the presence of The Phoenix. It was pulling her toward the woman. It told her that there was something there that she needed to know. But did she want to know? She looked up at Hank.
”Hank what do you need me to do?”

Victor snarled slightly as he was questioned about what happened. He knew they would jump to conclusions and part of him wanted them to. It would give him a good reason to tear them to shreds. But that wasn't going to help Phoenix was it? How was he going to explain this to them? And in all actuality he didn't even know what was wrong with her. He knew the baby was causing problems but he wasn't sure why or how. Wasn't that what they were for?
"Well she's pregnant obviously. Find the problem and fix it...she was in a lot of pain." The grip upon the bed before him tightened slightly. He hated feeling powerless; hated not being able to do anything.

Well that hadn't surprised him any. Hank stared at Victor for a long moment while thinking of what the man said. It seemed they were going to have to start from scratch then. His attention turned to Jean and her question. "Yes Jean, she will need a blood transfusion." He smiled to her slightly and nodded while he looked at the instruments that he had gathered. First thing on his mind was a blood test. It wasn't plainly obvious that the woman was a mutant but he figured that she was. After a moment he took the blood sample and placed it in one of his inventions. It was a small device that would quickly identify if she had the mutant gene within her blood or not. He moved away from the machine momentarily so that he could pull one of the xray panels down from the ceiling. He thought for a moment about telling Victor to move, but then again he supposed that radiation wasn't a real worry to the man.
Once the machine was in place he smiled over to Jean after setting up the transfusion. "Why don't you analyze that blood sample for me." It would keep her busy while he examined the xray. He tapped a few buttons upon the panel as it took the 'pictures' of the woman's body. He had to find out where she was bleeding from when there wasn't any real wounds to speak of. It wasn't much longer before he had the panels back up in their resting place and he took the films over to the lightbox to look at them. "Now that is unfortunate..." Hank's hand moved up to his chin as he contemplated the solutions for this problem. After all...healing broken ribs was hard enough with all that necessary breatheing...but with the baby that only made thing harder. Of course he couldn't help but wonder if Victor had been the cause for these injuries...but it was strange that he'd seek help for it.

Jean nodded at Hank as he told her to look at the blood sample. They needed to analyze the blood to figure out if she was a mutant and what blood type she was for the transfusion. it wasn't something difficult to do. But Jean kept her eye on Victor who was standing protectively next to the woman who was sedated on the bed. It didn't seem like he was going to move for anything.
She walked over to the small machine that Hank had invented to analyze the blood to see if she was indeed a mutant. She read through the paper that the machine was printing out. She found a slight trace of the mutant gene but it was clear that it was from the baby and not the woman on the bed. She then found her blood type and went to the back to get the necessary equipment for the blood transfusion. She set the bags of blood on the table next to Hank along with and IV.
"Hank, there was no trace of the mutant gene in her blood. I believe the baby is a mutant though."

Phoenix was living in her dream. Her daughter was beautiful. She was powerful and merciless with her killings. They killed as a family and Phoenix couldn't be happier. The humans were where they should be, underneath their feet begging for their lives. This was what the future was going to be like. She would make sure of it.
The dream started to disappear as she felt a prick in her arm. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around for a second. Bright lights were above her and she squinted. Then she looked down and saw an IV needle in her arm she followed the hand that was holding it and she came face to face with Jean Grey. The woman she had been forced to live in. She snarled as she looked at her.
"You!"
She quickly pulled her arm away from her and sat up in the bed looking around. She didn't even see Victor next to her she was just trying to find a way out. An escape! She saw the door and ignoring the pain in her abdomen she got out of the bed and went towards it trying to just get away. She wasn't angry or mad she was scared. She was like a terrified injured animal and she just needed to get away to lick her wounds.

Alex was sitting not really saying a word just watching what was going on not really getting what was going on she wished she could be helpful but this was far more fun then sitting on the couch it was something to do at minimum.
She watched as the blood sample got tooken and the xrays it was all fun to her, she was a bit shocked to find out that woman wasn't a mutant but her baby may be “O that going to be so cute a little mutant baby” she squeaked. sure that everything was going to be just find in the end.
When the woman got up and started heading towards the door Alex sighed and made it so no one could see the door and then she started talking “Its o.k Lady you don't need to worry Hank not that scary he really hear to help you he a great doctor so is Jean no one hear will hurt you” Alex had a big smile on her face like nothing was wrong as always “Can you sit down i'm sure Dr. McCoy and Ms. Grey can help you more if you sit calm down and um...the person you came hear with is hear to and he will make sure nothing bad happens to where all friends hear very happy friends but they can't take care of you if you run away” Alex was smiling at her all innocent like.
