Gentry was in no mood to deal with people or class actually. He was upset and wanted nothing more then to leave this school and everything altogether. He of course would not do that. He needed to be here for his sister but things were just not right. He was so used to the circus that being away from it for so long made him urn to be performing. There were times where he had wished to just go away for a little bit and get a taste for the life outside but his first taste of it didn't have him very happy at all. Of course coming to school had been a bit of a con job but his parents.
There was only one way they were going to get him to go and that was to have Gabbie come too. However her felt like it would be a better idea for her to have stayed home and the two of them to have come to him and demanded that he go. He knew they were afraid of his powers and he didn't blame them. At the moment the only one that wasn't all that scary was his force field and as of late he'd been having problems with that and needed a little help. He sat on the lawn headed towards the forest and pondered and everything wondering what in the world he could do to fix what was wrong with him.
He closed his eyes and brought out his juggling balls and stuck up his force field. There wasn't much to show for it at the moment. It did a flicker of light when he wasn't concentrating and it was going to fall but at the moment he was in full concentration on that but still through that charging the the balls he had in his hands.

Rose was bored, which was a little surprising when you thought about it! Between X-men duties, and her own studies (she was attending a local University, and had more classes then reasonable), you'd think she'd have trouble finding any free time! Some days, that was true, today though, wasn't one of them. Things were quiet at the school, so nothing there. She'd finished all her homework the night before. And she just wasn't in the mood to spend any more time studying. Trying to keep herself busy, she wandered the school grounds, a kindle in her hand with her gaze focused on it. Every minute or so, she'd press the button that would turn the page of the book she was currently engrossed in.
After what felt like an hour, but in actuality was only ten minutes, she looked up, sighing. She'd read this book in particular twice before, and nearly had it memorized. Why did today have to be so... so boring? It was literally driving her insane, to the point where she was tempted to track down someone that wanted to kill her just for something to do! Or, you know, book the Danger Room for the rest of the day, but someone had already beat her to that one.
At least.... Today had been boring. It was at this moment Rose noticed the student, who probably hadn't even hit High school age yet, and looked totally put out. And, it seemed he was training. By himself. With a force field. When you're power revolved around barriers, you tended to recognize one on sight. But that wasn't why she was so curious about the boy. No, it was more the fact that she rarely ever met people with a power so similar to her own. To be exact, he was the first she'd seen since her 'suicide'.
So, smirking a little, she altered her course, so instead of walking the path that went around the school, she was cutting across the lawn to approach the young teenager. "Practicing?" was all she said to him, a curious expression on her face.

Gentry was slowly losing it. He wanted his sister to be okay and he wanted to hunt down those that had made her not okay. It was the reason why he was out here with his force field up and charging the juggling balls he had. He was upset and he had shut down all emotions and everything that made him who he was really. The teachers had not been able to get through to him. The thirteen year old boy could do no more than think of revenge and head down a rather dark path and do everything he could to keep his emotions and everything else away from his sister. He had not come up with any ways to help her and helping himself didn't seem like something he could do at the moment either. He started to take deep breaths. He wanted nothing more then to be in a place where he felt like he had control. He didn't feel like that here and after everything that was going on well he felt even less like it.
He felt like a complete failure and a horrible brother. Add on the fact that he felt like he had not control at all and you had one mess of a kid. If he had been in the ring now things would have definitely not gone right. For once he was glad that he was not at the circus. With everyone that was around having powers and some that could get into his mind. No no that would be a horrible thing and would take the usually not talkative boy that he was into a land where he'd have to talk and he wouldn't want too. No this was in a sense better. His field began to flicker not because he was losing concentration but because his anger was starting to get the best of him. He tried to snap out of it but it wasn't working. One of the balls in his hands exploded sending him sprawling face first into the grass. He let out a groan as the force field he had up went down in a rather showy way.
It took him a moment to notice that in the time he had been fuming someone had come up to him and actually asked him a question. "What did it look like to you." He snapped back at her as he got himself up and checked that he was okay. Minus a few cuts in his clothing and a burn mark on his left palm he's be alright. The force field was back up seconds later in a show of flickering light before it became unseen to those that didn't know what they were looking for. He took a deep breath but didn't apologize like he usually would for his previous comment. He was in no mood to apologize for anything. "What are you doing out here?" It would be amazing or rather it would shock him if she got close to him with his shield up.

This boy was young, definitely not in high school yet, so it wasn’t too surprising that he finally lost control. Whatever he was doing in his hands literally blew up in his face, and his force field actually shattered. Well, talk about going out with a bang! She had to give the kid some credit, he was back on his feet in time to not only give her a smart ass comment, and go back to what he was doing, even though he’d obviously been injured during his last failure.
Rose was tempted to snap back at the boy, but refrained herself, if only because she was curious. That didn’t mean she’d keep everything back though. Smirking, she tilted her head slightly. ”Sort of looked like you were having a flying lesson.” Hey, if he wanted to be a smart ass, so could she! He really shouldn’t play this game with her, because she’d win. Without a doubt.
She didn’t react at first as he quickly put up another barrier, but when he spoke, that smirk quickly returned as she took a few steps closer. ”I could ask you the same question, seeing as you so easily injured yourself, it might be a good idea to practice with supervision.” Reaching out, she lightly knocked her knuckles against his force field. It was hard to see, obviously, but she knew it was there. She also knew that if she used her own power, she’d be able to take it down in seconds. ”But, I can see why you’re out here. After all, how often do you find someone that can teach you how to control force fields?”

ooc: Sorry it took me so long.
Gentry had never had a person even the teachers in that regards come close to him with his shield up. People tended to be thrown back into walls or the nearest place for them to land hard. Still he was tired now and concentrating would prove to be hard in a little bit. His juggling balls were back in his pocket at least the ones that hadn't blown up in his face. He knew he should have been paying attention and keeping his anger in check but it wasn't possible not right now. He was too angry, too upset to actually land on his better judgement. It took him a few moments to actually feel the blood that was coming down his face. He only noticed that when blood found its way onto his lip and then into his mouth. He sighed and then his attention was brought back to the person that had been talking to him. She was making some comment about his failure.
"If I could fly maybe it would have been. But I can't as you can tell." It wasn't that he really wanted to be a smart ass it was just that he wasn't himself. "Supervision doesn't usually know what to do when things get out of control." In all honesty no one really knew how to help him when this force field went out of wrack. The other power he had the explosion that had send him sprawling on the ground in the first place well that wasn't easily helped either but at least there were reason for it and ways to well trap it for a bit. He checked his face and found blood come from under his right eye. Well that was going to be a fun thing to explain later. "You wouldn't happen to have a band aid or anything would you?" He shook his head as he put his sleeve to the cut and pressed it there hoping to stop the bleeding. It could have been far worse. That was a start.
She was touching his force field and yet it didn't throw her back. He cocked his head to the side but chalked it up as to him being a little worried about a cut then who was trying to touch his barrier. "Not at all" was his reply to her comment about finding someone who could teach him how to control his power. He studied her for a moment. "You know how..." It was the only explanation as to why she ventured near him with it up and even tapped it. Of course she could also have the power of power negation, though that seemed unlikely.

((I am SOOOOOO SORRY! I didn’t mean to take so long to post! Every time I had the muse I totally forgot about this thread!))
”I wasn’t saying you could. Doesn’t mean you can’t try. And fail. Miserably.” Rose’s smirk was dark, as if asking if he wanted her to give him a flying lesson, which, obviously, would be extremely painful. Was she sadistic? A little. It wasn’t exactly a secret either. You had to give her credit though, she was good at being evil. ”That’s true, but you know, if something did happen and you, say, almost killed yourself… It’d be good for someone to at least be nearby for safety’s sake. It’d be rather depressing to die. All alone. With no one knowing where you are. Probably take several days before anyone found you.” Yup, definitely sadistic.
Rose didn’t seem at all fazed by his injury, or concerned in the least. He didn’t either, for that matter. ”Don’t you men have a policy to… What was it? ‘Rub some dirt in it’? I’m sure that would stop the bleeding.”
She had taken several steps back, putting a small distance between herself and the force field. She critically examined the force field, as if it’s barely visible appearance would tell her more about him and his power than everything else. ”You could say that.” Her tone was that of boredom, as if teaching a force field user was the easiest thing in this world, and thus beneath her. ”Or rather, you could say I’m the…. Resident expert.” Rose took another step back, took a deep breath, and smirked. Her own force fields were different then his, which was instantly obvious. His being totally transparent, and hers an almost night sky look, midnight black, with hints of deep purple and blue. Hers didn’t appear in the shape of a wall or dome of sorts. Instead, it closely resembled a spearhead. ”I wonder just how strong you’ve managed to get on your own.” A darker smirk, before her manipulated barrier lunged forward at blurring speed, slamming into his own barrier with more force than a speeding semi-truck.
