Half Spider Monkey – She is, as stated, quite literally, a human/Spider Monkey hybrid. She has unnaturally good hearing and sight (including night vision), as well as the obvious inhuman ability to climb near anything. She is longer limbed, like a typical Spider monkey, and even has a tail that is fully prehensile, which basically means it can be used to hold and manipulate objects, and, obviously, is strong enough that if need be can support her whole weight, but usually it is just used as a climbing aid. Like any Spider Monkey, she is incredibly agile, which means she can maneuver off and on the ground with the skills of a highly trained acrobat. She is also an incredible jumper, able to leap horizontally up to fifteen feet.

Blinking – Simply put, a short range teleporter, which basically means she can’t teleport long distances, instead she’s limited to about ten-fifteen feet each jump, but she isn’t limited in direction, so she can, if she wanted, go twenty feet up, or down. When explaining the sensation of blinking, she tends to describe it as swinging through trees, leaping out of our plane, into another, and leaping back out somewhere different.
• Flaw/s [/color] | Obviously, for one, being part monkey doesn’t make her stronger in any real way, faster and more agile, yes, but not stronger. So, if you can catch her, you can easily knock her out of the sky. Her teleportation is, as stated, short range, so if she tried to go more than her short range, she could end up leaving a limb or something behind…

Mad climbing skill – Obviously, she’s part monkey. She can climb just about anything.
Acrobatics – Again, monkey part of her, enables her to perform many completely inhuman feats.
Strategy – She is very, very clever, and can outsmart almost everyone she encounters.
Light fingered – Basically, she is very, very good at anything thieving related. Picking locks, lifting wallets, breaking into security systems…
Escaping – Basically, she is very good at getting away. Yes, that is an actual skill.
Antique appraisal – It is her job after all! She knows a lot about antiques.

Scarlet is a petite, beautiful, but slightly lanky woman. She is very small and light, but for her stature she has unnaturally long limbs … And… a tail. No, really, she has a tail, a red, fuzzy tail that is very, very long, thankfully it’s thin enough that it can easily wrap around her waist and be completely invisible under clothing. Her eyes are a beautiful, but rather common light blue. Her ivory skin is covered, completely covered in freckles, and her hair is a brilliant shade of red that’s hard not to notice.

Her dressing style completely changes depending on the time of day you meet her. When the sun is up, she is very casual but nice, dark blue jeans, nice tops, and sometimes sun dresses. At night… You’ll likely find her dressed almost like a ninja, all black from head to toe, with a lower face mask.

Scarlet is a free spirit, uncaged, unbridled. She does what she wants, how she wants, and when she wants. With no regard for authority, rules, or even people. Actually, she seems incapable of following anyone but herself, and all her actions reflect that! More so, she specifically goes out of her way to avoid doing what people want! You could say she’s a bit impish, having a need to be a little mischievous maker. But, you know, she’s a sweetheart, and would never do anything to hurt a person’s feelings in anyway.

The young woman is stubborn, in so much that she refuses to give up on anything she sets her mind on! She is also incredibly over confident, to the point where she honestly believes she can do anything and everything if she’s determined enough, and she has proved this on many occasions, to be honest! So it’s no wonder she’s so over confident!

She is an incredibly happy and cheerful person, who seems to love everything about life. Basically, she is a child at heart, and isn’t afraid to show it! You’ll probably find her goofing off, refusing to act like an adult, playing games, so on and so on. In fact, very rarely do people actually see her actually serious. To her, life is all one big game, and she’s determined to out show, and out play, all the other players. Oh, and she will out play everyone else. Thankfully, she does know when to mature, at least a little. Enough to not seem disrespectful!

But how can she out play people? You see, she is smart. Ridiculously smart. Freakishly so. To be honest, she can mentally run circles around almost everyone she meets. And she gets a thrill out of doing exactly that. Of course she doesn’t know everything, but that doesn’t mean you should try to outsmart her. Think of her this way, she learns on the job. She excels at adapting to any, and all situations within seconds. Faster, even. You could say she’s a master of reaction. Which, you know, is pretty useful in her line of work!

What is her line of work exactly though ? Well, she technically has two lines of work. Her first is her day job. She works in a shop. An Antique shop. Basically she’s an Antique appraiser! Her second, of course, is she’s a thief. You know, steal the valuables, vanish in the dead of night. She’s quite good at it too, the trade comes very naturally to her.

She has made quite a name for herself because of her night life, specifically with the Police. It’s become a joke to the law force that if you ever meet the woman, she’ll actually wait for you to catch up. Which, she does. You see, it’s no fun if there isn’t any challenge in it! She has, on many occasions, literally sat down, and waited for the police to catch up so they can have a proper chase. They’ve never managed to catch her though, which explains why the Police have come to call her ‘The Uncatchable Thief’. She also goes by a completely different name at night, specifically ‘Kestrel Cowl’, which the police quickly discovered was an alias. It’s also a known fact, that she’s more flamboyant then ever when she’s on the job.

Scarlet is actually a very slow tempered person, to be honest! As stated, she treats life like it’s one big game! So, obviously, she takes very few things seriously, including what other people say. Sure, she’ll get frustrated when things don’t go her way, like a little temper tantrum, but she never actually get’s angry, at least towards people. With her, it’s all smiles and laughs. As if without a care in the world.

You’d think, in her line of work, she would be an exceptionally well off individual. That is not the case. In fact, she struggles to make ends meet on a daily basis! Why is that? Well, it’s because everything she steals, goes to those in need. Quite literally, she is a modern day Robin Hood. She steals only from those who can afford it (so the wealthy), and gives the money (if that’s what she stole, if she stole actual goods, she sells them on the black market for the money) to those who truly need it. No one really knows this though, because the money is always given anonymously. And, she’s smart enough to never give enough to draw suspicion. Instead, she’s been known to revisit many families over a long period, keeping the payments small, but frequent, like a paycheck.

So, yes. She is, actually, a very, very, good person! You wouldn’t think that a thief could be good at heart, but she is. Without a doubt. And if you ever do meet her, you’ll learn that first hand. She gets along with almost everyone she meets, is probably the first person to offer assistance in a time of need.. Just… Nice!

Scarlet is a Londoner from birth, not only that she was also raised in the city most of her life. Her family was well off, and you could say this left her rather…. Troubled. You see, her family refused to admit it, but the girl seemed to have an uncanny knack for getting her hands on anything that wasn’t hers. A lot. More than a lot. By the time she was ten, she’d discovered the art of pick pocketing, and quickly mastered it. Soon, she moved onto bigger and better stunts. She’d always been incredibly acrobatic, so all that sneaking around came rather naturally towards her. Thankfully, her acrobatics skills were, so far, the only sign of her mutation, and thus, unnoticed. Technically. Because of her family’s reputation, she managed to stay out of trouble all together.

When she was fifteen, the family moved overseas to the United States for her Scarlet’s father. You see, her father was a very prominent business man, and, said business was expanding, and they needed someone to run the overseas offices. For a little while, Scarlet stayed on the right path, going to school, doing well, making friends, no stealing. Things didn’t stay that way, sadly.

Before the start of her Senior year, her mutation finally presented itself, tail and all. Her family, being the…. Traditional, well respected lot they are, couldn’t afford this kind of disgrace, so she was completely disowned. Forced onto the streets, she was forced to fend for herself for the first time in her life. It was through sheer luck that she managed to find an Antique shop willing to hire her, and even more so that the shop owner actually took the teenager in, letting Scarlet stay with her until she could afford an apartment of her own.

Somehow, Scarlet managed to get herself through high school with good marks, and then moved onto college. Originally, she was majored in Criminal Justice, but when her Boss started to consider retiring… Things changed. It was then she… Rediscovered her thieving knack. Sort of. Well, what happened specifically was, she changed majors, to Art History, so she could take on more of the work load at the shop. She shadowed her boss for several months, learning on the job, and in classes. It wasn’t hard to discover her new purpose, when she was reintroduced to her old life. The wealthy. Who spent their money on the silliest things, all because they could afford it. It irritated her, after barely managing to stay afloat for several years, that people that could do something about it, didn’t care! Obviously, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

She started out small, picking pockets mostly, but from the start, she gave away almost everything she stole, even though she obviously could have used it! She quickly discovered, pick pocketing wouldn’t be enough. Again, she started out small, trinkets mostly that wouldn’t be missed, but weren’t that valuable. Soon, she’d moved on to bigger and better, items that could fetch thousands on the market. It was then she started to get noticed by the police. And, even with them pursuing her, she managed to grow more and more bold. And thus, ‘The Infamous and Uncatchable Thief, Kestrel Cowl’ was born.
