on the inside that counts
Personality: At the age of eight Blair’s parents decided to get a divorced. One year later, her father having an extreme addiction to alcohol and gamboling the state stepped in. Calling him unfit to take care of children, and their mother not having a good job, all four children went into Foster care. At first they kept the siblings together, that was when Sophia got adopted, then the others got moved to different homes, while she stayed. Moving from place to place, not having a stable place to call home, is hard for a girl especially if everyone you were close to couldn’t see you any more, either by distance or other reasons.
Blair was bullied at multiple schools that she went to, that and the story of her family, means that she is fairly self conscious. For example, if she does something stupid and she hears people laughing in the distance she will automatically thing that they are laughing at her, even if they didn’t even notice her. Likewise she doesn’t take criticism from other people well. She is more likely to leave and try to tell herself that they were wrong, but that doesn’t work all the time. Blair can also easily close up in a shell of her own creation. It isn’t hard to get her out again, unless it has happened repeatedly by the same person. She is also known to take trust very seriously. Once you have it you have it, but if you break it, just once, it is near impossible to gain it back again. Living the way she has, blair has learned to rely on her self and no one else. She doesn’t like to get close to lots of people because she is afraid that they will either disappoint her or do something stupid and have to go away. But hope isn’t all the way lost, it is possible to become her friend. Blair also has the tendency to cling to the friends that she has, and not branch out.
Because of her shyness Blair isn’t willing to except help from just anyone. She prefers to do activities where a group is not required and she can think and work on her own time. Also she had decided that no one would ever want her and is constantly bracing for disappointment by the people she does know and care about. Unfortunately she feels that no one would ever want her, or care for her, because she was never adopted and she has lost complete contact with her entire family. Hidden on the back of a picture of her and her siblings, the last time they saw each other, is a list of every home (10) that she has been in from the beginning. Being that she has had such a hard family life she really doesn’t like it when people talk about their families, especially if they are complaining, but she wouldn’t stand up to them, she would just get up and leave, feeling a little angry inside.
As mentioned before, it is possible for someone to break through her shell, when this happens she is almost constantly bracing for the shock of a break up or a reason for this person to never see her again. But once she does trust someone, enough to call them a friend, then she becomes more out spoken and more animated. Also she is a lot more willing to give more emotion towards them. At the beginning of a friendship, she is cautious and just waiting for some one to say that it was all a joke, but it is possible to get her past that stage of worry. Eventually, if someone stays around long enough, and they keep being with her, she will start to think that she has been proved wrong, but still, in the back of her mind, is bracing for that someone to let her down. If someone she knows starts to abuse her, she does stick around for a little bit, because that is what she grew up with thinking, but she will eventually run away, and avoid them the best she can.
In public, Blair will show little emotions, such as a polite smile, or an angry face. Mainly she prefers to save her emotions for when she’s alone or with her friends. But if something happened she has a tendency of sometimes over thinking the situation, and believing that it was all the person’s fault, and why she would never do that and why they are at fault for doing it themselves. If someone lashes out at her she would, then give them an angry look then runaway. But if it’s physical she would take it for an extremely short time, then she would do her best to run away from that person.
Blair is confident in her drawing and knows that she is a pretty good singer, but she can criticize herself when she knows it would be constructive. She does come off as a shy person, but tries to walk abound like she knows what she’s doing, and she is confident. If that is broken, like some one bumps into he she will quietly apologize then move on her way, even if it was the other person’s fault entirely.
Blair has a fairly good attitude of life, this is mainly because of one girl who was a lot like an older sister to her. She was also in foster care but she chose to look on the bright side and after she turned eighteen she stuck around as much as she could but then she got a job offer that she just couldn’t refuse and had to move away. Because of this girl __ is mostly optimistic, but there are those times where nothing goes the way they should, and it’s on those days that she finds it hard to think of the good that has happened to her.
Like everyone, Blair does have her dislikes, such as spicy food, cold, and spiders. Other than just normal dislikes, she does have some pretty bad habits and quirks. Because of being in foster care Blair has learned to trust little people, this is mostly shown by her mild case of Anorexia. When she is in a new place, or uncomfortable with a situation, her apatite almost disappears. This causes her to not eat, and to, in a round about way, stave herself. In a way, it’s also a sort of cry for help. When she does it, people notice and will try to help her. Even if she thinks she doesn’t want it. One thing she has sworn never to do, is Alcohol and drugs. Seeing her father participating in it, she noticed how violent he got, other times he just acted stupid. She never wanted to be in those shoes. Also, there is schooling, every time she moved to a new family, she moved to a new school. It became very hard to catch up and to remember what the homework was, so she just stopped doing it.
To look on the bright side, Blair has found ways to escape her upsetting life. She has found that by listening to music or art, she is pulled way from her troubles and everything goes back to normal, or as normal as it could be. This is the same with watching thunderstorms, they are beautiful, and are a way to escape the troubles of that day.
Everything that makes your character who they are!

some of us are... different
FOR MUTANTS, Leave blank if you are human.
Power(s): Blair’s power is, simply put, invisibility. But it is more like she vanishes both physically, and mentally. She is coherent but she is seemingly, not there. Also it isn’t just her body that disappears, but anything that is touching her skin at the time of her disappearance. If it’s a small item she can make it disappear after she is gone, but it takes lots or concentration. Also her power makes her hard to find, even by psychics.
Weakness(s): Psychics. This may not make sense at first thought. The longer she stays invisible she becomes easier to find psychic. And if she stays invisible longer, it will slowly fade. With practice the second time limit will get longer, but she just needs the time and attention.
Cause: Second generation mutant, her father was a mutant, witch was what made him so violent.
