Appearance: Adin is petite, standing at 5’1”. Her eyes are dark brown. Most of her body, with the exceptions of her legs, hands, and the center of her face, is covered with midnight black feathers. Her face is bordered with soft, down fathers, but apart from that was unaffected by her mutation. Adin’s hair also morphed into feathers, which lie along her head like hair. Her legs developed scales, like bird legs, and her feet are identical to those of a hawk. She has wings which are about the same length as her arms and shaped like a hawk’s. She normally wears jeans with a t-shirt that has holes in the back to let her wings through. Most of the time she also wears a jacket large enough to hide her wings.

Personality: Even before Adin discovered her mutation, she was a shy and quiet girl. Around her small group of friends or her family she could relax, but while Adin was at school she would sit in the back of the classroom, only speaking when forced to by a teacher. Her silence resulted from the fact that most of the time Adin spent at school she, and her friends, were picked on by the older students. Despite their troubles, Adin and her friends were always supported each other.
Things changed when Adin’s mutation revealed itself. She had been at school, trying to get away from a bully. As she ran, Adin could feel her skin shifting, especially along her back and along her feet. Managing to escape the bully by diving through a crowd, Aiden rushed into a bathroom. When she looked into a mirror, she saw that her face was surrounded by feathers. She then discovered wings coming out from her back, and the fact that her feet had transformed it to clawed talons like a hawk’s. Not quite thinking straight, Adin decided to try and get home and call her parents. Unfortunately, the school day had just ended and the halls were still filed with students. The moment Adin entered the hallway, she realized her mistake, but it was too late to hide. All of the students moved as far away from her as possible, letting Adin escape, but she would never again be able to safely walk through her school. Her normally supportive friends pulled away from the girl they instinctively recognized as an additional threat to their safety. After two days of trying to return to her life before her mutation, during which she received two black eyes and a cut lip, Adin dropped out of school with the permission of her parents. Her parents encouraged Adin to try and find a new school that was more accepting of mutants, and where she could learn to be confident both as a young woman and a mutant.

Power(s): Adin’s mutation covered her entire body, excluding her legs, hands, and the center of her face, with feathers. She has hawk like wings coming out of her back along her shoulders which give her the ability to fly. She also has talons, similar to those of a hawk, instead of feet.
Weakness(s): Because hawk feet were built for grabbing and tearing things, not walking, Adin was forced to relearn how to walk and run. She struggles to maintain her balance, although her wings help her with this. She also has normal human weaknesses.
Cause: Adin’s powers first manifested when she was being teased in school.

Other skills: Adin has always loved school and reading. She can, and enjoys, reading books that are challenging for many other people her age, such as Shakespeare.
