Appearance: Polaris stands at 5'7" with most of her height from those long legs of hers. She keeps herself fit, working out everyday to keep herself in peek condition. Her body is a slender build, with nice curves to her. Long green strands of hair sprout from her roots and grow through the shades of green to reach the small of her back. She prefers to keep it down or in a loose ponytail. The slight curls seem to curtain her face, hiding those deep jungle green eyes sometimes.

She dresses in what would make her both comfortable and stylish. She usually picks jeans that accent her hips and legs, and is comfortable pairing it with a simple white tank that hugs her curves tightly. Add a necklace and some fingerless gloves and she is good. Depends on her mood. Most of the time she dresses tough but when the occasion calls, she is just as comfortable in a nice evening gown.

Personality: Lorna is her own spirit. She can be a little wild sometimes but she has a lot of heart. She has a deep loyalty to her friends and once she finds a cause she believes in, she will follow it. She is her father's daughter and will follow her choices till the end. She doesn't fall in love easily and can be quite the flirt but she doesn't need the hassle right now. She recently found out that Magneto is her father and is still coming to terms with that. Right now she is stuck between wanting to please him and deciding to go back to the x-men.

Lorna carries a lot of baggage with her. She has seen a few of her loved one's hurt because of her powers and she isn't too happy about it. Normally she is a very carefree woman who takes life as it's thrown at her. She's not afraid to fight and will if she has too. Sometimes she catches herself being cruel but she tries to fix it. She is quite smart as well, having a masters degree in geophysics and has some doctoral research completed.

Power(s): Magnetic Field Manipulation - Polaris Can manipulate magnetic, electrical, and gravitic fields. She can levitate metallic objects, create forcefields in which she can suspend items or people in the air, these she can use to protect them from being attack from outside the bubble. She can overload or short circuit electrical systems. By concentrating, she can perceive the world around herself solely as patterns of magnetic and electric energy. She can also perceive the magnetic auras around people.

Weakness(s): Lorna can not pick up as many things as magneto, she doesn't know the limit to the weight she can pick up either. She doesn't use her powers much in battle for actually attacking people but rather helping them so she doesn't know the extent of that. Her potential is to be that of magneto, but his polar opposite. She can tap into the earth's feilds, but she tries not to because one false step and she could cause the earth to shift drastically and it would kill so many people. Also she is very prone to being possessed by other entities.

Cause:
Lorna had been born with green hair, which she always kept dyed brown so that she would not be seen as "different." Lorna’s hair color was the only outward sign of her latent genetic potential for magnetic powers, but certain genetic factors were absent which would have allowed her to exercise those powers. In the normal course of events, Lorna would never have been able to use these powers. However, the intervention of Samuel "Starr" Saxon, the master robotics whose brain patterns were later preserved in the Machinesmith, altered the normal course of events. Saxon had constructed an android duplicate of Magneto, the self-styled mutant master of magnetism who was believed dead at the time, and a small army of androids with strange powers called the Demi-Men. Saxon's plans were to use these androids as his means of accumulating vast wealth and power, while deceiving the world into believing them to be examples of evil mutants, who had become objects of widespread fear.

Saxon sought mutants to help lead his army while he gave directions through the Magneto robot. First, Saxon had the robot Magneto recruit the hypnotic mutant Mesmero to serve as second in command. Then, Saxon decided that a mutant who was a natural source of vast magnetic power would be useful in dealing with his metal robot army. Saxon acquired a "psyche-generator" which Mesmero used to summon mutants in North America with latent powers to San Francisco, and the nearest such mutant was Lorna. Mesmero and his androids captured her and placed her inside a genetic stimulator, which altered her genetic structure so as to allow her to exercise her latent powers. Mesmero then used his hypnosis on Lorna to alter her personality so that she would sympathize with the faux Magneto and believe him to be her father.


Other skills: Well she is good with computers and reasearch. She knows a bit about biology and such. She is a pretty good fighter.
