Naomi had just finished practicing her latest escape routine for her next preformance and decided that it was time for a well deserved break, even if she had only been practicing it for the last hour it was still time for a break. She had just made a stop at one of the stands and got one of her favorite things in the whole world, sugar. A slice of chocolate cake to be exact.
After getting her chocolaty treat Naomi made her way to her spot. Her spot was a small table tucked away under a tree. It was far enough away from the crowd of preformers and circus goers that they most likely wouldn't even notice her, but it was close enough that she could watch them as they scuttled back and forth.
Reaching the table Naomi place her piece of cake on the table while she took one of the only two seats at the table. Picking up the fork she finally dug into her well deserved treat, well she thought it was well deserved. Closing her eyes Naomi savored the taste, though when she heard footsteps approaching her spot she opened her eyes and turned to face the person who was approaching. The fork still in her mouth.

Mansions, mutants, friends, enemies and brotherhood. Everything Ian knew he had to remember but couldn't. Why was it so hard for him to remember anything? Alex had been a great help, showed him spots in the mansion that he felt familiar and even safe around, but he still couldn't bring himself to remember anything.
He left the mansion, wandering the streets of new york when he noticed there was a sign saying a circus was in town and it wasn't too far away. Then again, according to Alex and Devi, nowhere was too far away for him to get to. So within a few seconds he was at the spot where the circus was. It was a beautiful day and as he walked towards it, he noticed there was a girl there eating what looked like a really good peice of cake.
His stomache grumbled, and he fished around in his pockets for the wallet which, as Alex had said, was hidden in one of the boxes in his room. He looked through the random pictures and cards he had until he found what he needed. He just hoped there was an atm machine in there somewhere. As he passed the girl, he gave her a smile and a nod in greeting, showing no harm.

The person that was walking past happened be a circus goer, or at least she asummed he was a circus goer since she hadn't seen him before. Cocking her head to the side she gave him a curious look before removing the fork from her mouth. Watching him nod to her in greeting she decided that she should go ahead and go talk to him. Picking up her cake she got up and jogged after him. After catching up to him she gave him one of her biggest smiles. Holding out her hand she said, “Hi! I'm Naomi who are you?” She waited until he shook her hand before taking a bite of her cake.
“Do you need any help finding anything?”Since he looked like he was new to this kind of place Naomi decided that she would help him find whatever it was he was looking for. “The show won't start for another couple of hours, but there are a few stalls up if you want to kill time here before it starts. My favorite is the sweet shop.” She held up what was left of the chocolate dessert.

He continued walking after nodding to the girl, but soon after he did he heard someone coming up behind him. He had a sudden feeling it was her, and sure enough she was right next to him walking with what was left of a chocolate cake, which only made him more hungry. When she held out a hand and introduced herself, he smiled and shook her hand.
"I'm Ian, nice to meet you."
He often wondered if that was his real name, even though Alex and Devi both told him he was, and he saw his name and face on a plaque. He let go of Naomi's hand and continued to walk, knowing she would no doubt walk with him. When she asked him if he was looking for something and mentioned her favorite spot, he couldn't help but smile.
"Actually, I'm wondering if there's an atm around here. I'm pretty hungry and wouldn't mind getting something to eat. Are you one of the people that work here?"
It was a silly question to ask, and no doubt he'd either get a yes and hopefully a tour, or a no and feel like a total idiot for asking a stranger if she worked at a circus. For some reason the circus always interested him. Maybe he use to go to the circus a lot, it would explain how he always was drawn to it when he saw a poster up.

“Ian, huh? Thats a pretty...normal name.” She paused and then quickly held up her hands. “Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just when you live in a circus you sort of become used to all the...creative names of the people that live here that you kind of forget about all the normal people names.”
When Ian asked her if there was an ATM around she nodded her head. While some stalls did take debit and credit cards the majority of the places prefered cash, but since cards were now the norm an Atm was a most for them so they had to have at least one. “Yeah, it's over this way by the big top.” She started making her way toward the big top and by extension the Atm machine.
As the started walking she answered another one of his questions. “Oh by the way I do work here, and since the show won't start for another couple of hours would you like for me to give you a tour of this place. While I'm pretty sure you could find anthing on your own I think it's more fun when your with someone else wouldn't you agree?, especailly if the person your with knows what they're doing.”

He gave her an odd look when she called his name normal. He didn't know whether to take it as a compliment or an insult until she immediately went on the defensive. He then smiled, giving a small laugh before looking ahead then back at her.
"You must not have met many people with normal names then."
He followed her as she began making her way towards the nearest atm, listening as she spoke. He couldn't help but smile when she offered him a tour. He was certain he could find things on his own, but having a tour guide to help him make his way around the circus wouldn't be too bad. Besides, she was kinda cute, which made him smile a little.
"Sure, I could use a guided tour of the place."
