Alucard had gone to his favorite book store in the city to get the new book he had ordered. He rather liked the place because the owner of the place, an old man with white hair, never did try to make him talk or buy anything unless he wanted to. The old man was helpful too and somehow always could get his hands on the rarer books that Alucard wanted to read. He was actually looking forward to this trip enough, that he had even gotten the old man a gift. The old man needed a new pair of glasses, but he couldn't afford the ones he liked, so after getting the old man's perscription he bought them for him.
Alucard was so distracted that he actually got off at the wrong stop. He never did that before, but right now he didn't mind walking all the way to the store. He started walking dressed in a blood a dark, leather jacket ,red, button up shirt, nice black pants, a nice dark brown leather belt, nice shoes, and his satchel handing from his left side. He just kept walking until he had gotten to the bus stop he was suppose to get off at and stopped to take a quick break.

Kenzie had ordered several books from a nice book store in the city and was heading there. She was driving her car which was a nineteen forty one Chrysler Thunderbolt convertible. It had belonged to her father. But when she had killed her family and Magneto came for her she had asked him if she could take it for when she was older. She had gotten her license and drove it every where. It was in perfect shape a bright red. She noticed it often caught the eyes of men no matter what there age.Kenzie liked to walk so she parked a about a block from the book store and got out. She made sure to lock it. She had an alarm installed that would call the cops if anyone tried to get in with out the key.
She started walking breathing in the cool afternoon air. Her mind was on the meeting with Sam from the other day and wasn't paying attention to where she was going. She ended up bumping into a guy. She wrinkled her nose having touched a human. She knew it was her fault but she wouldn't say that. "Ugh what where your going idiot. I swear your as blind as a fucking bat." Kenzie didn't wait to see how he would react to her and continued walking to the book store.

Alucard was a little spaced out when he felt someone bump into to him. He didn't pay the person or what they said much mind since he could tell from the voice it was some girl saying rude things to him. He instead just kept walking and ended up passing the girl not long after she had bumped into him.
Alucard was almost to the door of the book store when he smelt something all too familiar for him, the scent of blood. He wasn't sure why he was so sensitive to it lately, or why he could smell it so strongly when he was this far from the store, but something told him he needed to hurry. He almost sprinted into the store and the sight he saw made him freeze. The old man was bleeding out from a stab wound he had taken to the stomach and his wife was crying over him and in a state of complete shock. He stood still a second before he rushed over to the old man. He bent down over the old man and cut a line across his arm with the razor he kept on him. He stuck the cut over the old man's wound and began to manipulate his blood into the old man and used his blood to stitch up the wound. As he sat there doing a blood-transfusion for the old man, he looked up at the old woman.
" Call the ambulance. I can keep him alive for a little bit longer, but if you don't go call them right now, he won't make it." Alucard said to her in a voice that was slightly concerned and as commanding as a nobles.
Alucard watched the woman head off into the back of the store before he looked down at the old man and frowned. He wasn't sure what happened, but as soon as the old man was clear of dying, he was going to pay whoever did this a visit.

Kenzie was almost at the book store when she spotted the boy again out of the corner of her eyes. What was he doing stalking her. She glared at the human wanting to use her powers to get rid of him. But she couldn't let the humans know what she was. They wouldn't stop until they had her. So she just ignored him. That was until he took off running and past her and into the book store she was heading for. She groaned but continued on her way. When she opened the door she froze. The smell of blood in the store was over powering. There was just so much of it. The smell almost made her sick to her stomach.
Looking around the store she found the source and gasped. This old man though he was human she didn't hate him. He had bean helpful to her at times. But was took her by surprise the most was the boy. He was kneeling by the old man and was bleeding as well but he was controlling his blood. "Mutant," she said in an almost whisper. But it was loud enough for the boy to here.
She knew he wasn't a brotherhood member. So that made him a rouge or an Xavier student. If he was a rogue she could change that maybe. But the guy like humans. Stepping forward she knelled down. "Is there anything I can do?" She wouldn't let them know she was a mutant as well. As far as the boy and the old man new. She was just a normal human. She wanted it to stay that way for a while at least.
Kenzie quickly realized she could take the pain away from the man at least for a little while. But did she want to? Sighing she realized if she wanted to win over the other mutant she had to. Closing her eyes she concentrated on a vision of the old man he was in a forest with no pain. He was having a picnic with his wife. After getting the vision she gave it to the old man. She could almost hear a sigh come from the old man.
She wasn't sure how long she could keep it up. As it was she was beginning to sweat a little.

Alucard was still using his powers to keep the old man alive when he heard someone come into the store. He didn't look back to see who it was, but he recognized the voice when he heard her say mutant. It was that person that bumped into him earlier. He wasn't sure why she was in the store, and it really didn't matter to him right now. He didn't say anything when he heard her ask if there was something she could do. He glanced over at the girl after the old man made a sigh of relief, which was not due to anything Alucard was doing. She was around his age and she looked like she was doing something that was causing her to get worn out. He had to guess she was a mutant like him and was the reason why the old man had sighed like that. He turned his head to look at the girl.
" Don't worry about doing anything right now, especially if it is going to tire you out so quickly." Alucard said to her in a tone of voice that wasn't rude or friendly, simply matter of fact. " Help will be here soon enough as it is anyways, and this kind of wound isn't as painful as it looks."
Alucard had said that and yet he was very pale by this point. He looked like he should be passing out himself from blood lose, while ironically the old man's color had come back to him thanks to the introduction of new blood to his system and the closing of the wound. He looked back at the old man. Alucard truly looked like he should be getting woozy and about to pass out, but one look into his eyes could tell you that he wasn't.

Kenzie kept the vision going though. "He's in pain humans can't take pain as good as us. Plus he's old. He needs a pain killer so that's me." Just than she heard the sirens outside and let it go. She quickly got up and moved aside. She wiped the sweat off her face. And other than looking tired she looked completely normal. The man never saw her until the vision ended and by than she looked normal. She put on a worried look as the doors opened and in came running the ambulance team.
She really hopped no one in the Brotherhood heard about her helping a human. Her skin crawled. But she didn't let anyone see how helping the human made her feel.
As the paramedics went to work she asked them a question. "Will he be ok the cut looks really bad." She said in a worried voice. They never replied to her. Turning to the boy she frowned. She had a million questions for him but didn't dare ask them with so many humans around them. She would have to wait for the old man and his wife to leave for the hospital.

Alucard kept the blood stitches in place until the ambulance team was almost to the old man. He made it look like he was just putting pressure on the wound the whole time and let the blood flow out when they moved him away. They had him up on the stretcher and into the ambulance fairly quickly. As the old man's wife was on her way out, Alucard pulled out a small box in plain yet pretty wrapping paper and handed it to the woman. She took it from him with a slight smile and handed him the keys asking if he could close the store for her. He just nodded and then she was out the door and him and that girl were alone together.
Alucard stood for a moment before he pulled a bottle containing a blood colored liquid in it out of his satchel and opened it up. He drank part of it before he closed the cap and put it back into his bag. He looked around the store and began to put the books back onto the shelves, being gentle and careful with them as if they might fall apart at anytime. He found a pair of books that had blood on them and frowned.
" Poor things, you didn't deserve to get blood on you like this." Alucard said to himself, but in a loud enough voice that the girl might have heard him. " I'll find who did this, don't worry."

Once everyone but the boy was gone she sighed with relief and leaned against the wall feeling very drained. Using her powers took allot out of her and she was feeling very drained. "Who are you what are your powers? I know they have something to do with blood or your blood any way other than that..." She didn't finish the sentence. She took great big gulps of air before her head started to clear and she felt a little better.
Kenzie headed towards the books and helped him put them away as she waited for an answer. "They can be fixed don't worry. You have heard of the book doctor right? I have a book that belonged to my great grandpa and it was in really bad shape. I found a book doctor and they fixed it up for me. Now it's as good as new. It's a one of a kind book. It's the only book like it."
Walking around the counter she found two paper bags. She pulled them both out. Looking in one she found the books she had ordered. In the other was more books. These must be yours. She passed set the bag on the counter. The old man had told her how much the books would be since they where rare they cost more than usual. One like her great grandpas was a one of a kind as well. Kenzie liked to collect one of a kinds. She had a whole library back at the Brotherhood. Digging the money out of her pocket she set it on a shelf. She than wrote a quick note thanking the old man for finding the books. "Well I got what I came for."

Alucard placed the two books on the counter and watched as the girl placed the two paper bags on the counter and looked through them. She wrote out a note and placed some money on the counter before saying that she had gotten what she was after. He looked at her for a moment.
" Well that is good that you got what you came for, but you don't need to worry about my powers. It is not like I use them much." Alucard said to her in a formal tone of voice. " I need to clean this place up before I'm going to leave, so you can head out whenever you wish."
Alucard walked to the back of the store and found some cleaning supplies. He filled a bucket up full of hot water and took it with a rag and some cleaning spray to the spot where all the blood was at. He took his time as he cleaned it up to make sure it was spotless when it was done. He kept quiet the whole time as he did. He wasn't in much of a talking mood at the moment.
Alucard had the spot cleaned up fairly quickly and very well done. He was use to cleaning blood up, so it wasn't anything new for him. He put the supplies up and went to the counter. He picked up the bag containing his books and then pulled out his wallet. As he opened it up to pull out the money to pay for his books, the sight of all the money in it came to view. It was obvious now that Alucard was well off. He put the money on the counter and left a note as well explaining he was paying for the books and even offering some help with the hospital bills. He turned to the girl, who was still in the store for some reason.
" Shall we get out and lock the place up now?" Alucard asked her.

Kenzie hugged the package to herself and watched the boy. She was just about to say something when he got up and paid for his books. She decided to wait until he finished the note. But than again she didn't get the chance for he started talking.
"Ok lets do that I want to talk to you so how about we got to the cafe for a cup of coffee." She didn't wait for his reply. She turned and headed out the door. "I'll drive there's this nice little cafe run by some mutants. Though no one but a few other mutants know there mutants. They make a real nice cup of jo." She smiled sweetly trying to win his trust. "I'm Kenzie and you are?" She hoped her trying to be nice would get him to come with her to the cafe.
Heading out the door Kenzie waited for him outside. She knew he would put everything away before locking the door. She wasn't sure if he would fit into the brother hood but she had to try. Anyone with his powers would be greatly welcomed into the brotherhood. She was starting to get a little impatient before he finally came outside.

Alucard heard what the girl had to say and watched as she just left without waiting for a reply. He figured it wouldn't hurt anything to go to a cafe with her. He didn't have any plans as it was and he needed to spend some time away from the mansion every now and then. He also wanted to see if he could figure out what this girl's aim was. He had noticed that she was faking, or atleast part of, her niceness and it made him curious as to why.
Alucard locked up the door and followed the girl back the way that he had come to the store in the first place. He wasn't sure where this cafe she mentioned was at or how they were going to get there. He figured it wasn't close since he never saw one in the area as many times as he had come to the bookstore so that meant they were going to have a long walk. He figured he might as well ask though instead of wonder.
" How far away is this cafe? Also, how are we going to get there?" Alucard asked her as they walked along.
Alucard started to wonder about why this girl had asked him to go to a cafe with her. Was it something about them both being mutants or maybe about what happened at the bookstore? He also thought for a moment that she might be asking him on a date but he quickly put that out of his mind since that was highly unlikely.

The two had only walked a block when she spotted her car and smiled. The guy had bean quite the whole walk. And he had yet to introduce himself yet. Even though she had already introduced herself to him. She wasn't sure if he was being rude or what. "The cafe is several blocks away, And your other question on how where going to get there is an easy answer." Reaching into her purse she grabbed a set of keys and walked to the red nineteen forty one Chrysler Thunderbolt convertible. "Where driving of course. You think I would walk that for?" She laughed softly. Walking to her door she opened it and waited to see his reaction. Would he get in or refuse to get in?
"Don't worry I don't bite....... usually." She winked trying to get him to loosen up. She didn't want to scare him away. "By the way you never told me your name." The wind was picking up a little and blowing her blond hair all over the place. She really wished she had tied it back in a ponytail right about than. But there was nothing she could do about it. At least she wasn't wearing a skirt or dress.

Alucard listened to what she had to say to him. He watched as she went over to a red car. He had never been much into cars and didn't know much about them, so he didn't show much when he saw it. What he did notice though was her look when the wind started to blow her hair around. She didn't seem to like it much. He pulled out a ribbon he had in his bag, it was left over from the gift he had made for the old man, and walked over to her. He quickly pulled her hair back and had it tied into a ponytail before she could have time to stop him. The ribbon was a plain black one, but it seemed to go with her hair color well. He walked over to the other side of the car, since he never took the time to get a license, and looked over at her.
" My name is Alucard, it is a pleasure." Alucard said to her with a slight smile. " Shall we be off now?"
Alucard waited to see what she would do now. He still wasn't sure what she wanted from him, but at least today wasn't going to be boring.

Kenzie was caught off guard when he walked over to her and tied her hair back with a black ribbon. She blushed a little and gave her first true smile. "Thank you," hearing his name she nodded. "Well thank you Alucard I appreciate the little ribbon I really do." She got in thinking about the feel of his hand in her hair. He had bean gentle. First impression of him was good even if he did like humans. But it was a better first impression than the one she had, had with Sam.
She quickly got her seat belt on and started the car. She purred like a cat making her smile again. She loved this car she truly did. "Well Alucard it is a true pleasure to meet you. And if you didn't know this is a nineteen forty one Chrysler Thunderbolt convertible. She's in mint condition. And she is all mine."
Once Alucard had put his seat belt on she took off. Thankfully it wasn't rush time. But even so the streets where still busy but what do you expect from New York City.
It took several minutes before the reached the cafe. A sign hung over telling you the name of the cafe was the Rose Thorn. "Welcome to the Rose Thorn Alucard." With that she parked and got out of the car. She walked along the car till she got to the sidewalk. With that she waited for Alucard. Once inside she smiled and walked up to a woman behind the counter. She whispered something quickly to the woman and she nodded. "Ready?" She turned and asked Alucard. "I asked her for a private booth so no one can over hear us."

Alucard just watched the sidewalk as they drove to the cafe. He still wasn't for sure what the girl was up to or wanted to talk to him about, but her smile earlier did seem real to him. He looked at the name of the cafe and was rather surprised by the name. He loved roses and even had some he grew in his room back at the mansion, but for this girl to pick this cafe without knowing that was ironic. He had stood looking at the sign for a moment before he followed the girl into the cafe. He watched her as she talked with one of the people who worked there. She had mentioned going to a 'private' booth. He smiled slightly to himself.
" You sure know how to treat a guy, if this was a date." Alucard said out loud to himself without realizing it.
Alucard realized he had spoken out loud a moment after he had, but decided not to say anything else. He just looked at her a moment.
" Lead the way. You said you wanted to talk about something right?" Alucard said to her.
Alucard just waited to see what she did in reply. He wasn't for sure if she was going to just lead him to the booth or say something.
