How it must have driven Devika mad since Jared had left her last. Not quite knowing what was going to happen. Well sure enough when the clock hit 4 a knock was at her hotel room door. And when she opened it, there was nothing there other than a nicely decorated box. It wasn't too large but the white box was tied nicely around each side and a bow in the middle. Inside the box was a tasteful evening gown. The fabric was a black satin with small crystals decorating the trim of the chest and trailing downward, splitting off until it reached all the way to the bottom of the dress in several places. The straps of the dress were on one shoulder, leaving other other bare. ( dress) * * * Meanwhile, Jared was busy making the rest of the reservations. He had everything planned out and would certainly show Devika the time of her life. At least, if she hadn't already been used to such treatment. She didn't seem like it, but you never know. The restaurant was set and there were just a few more things to solidify before he started to prepare himself. Once 7'oclock rolled around, like clock work, the black town car rolled up to the hotel Devi was staying at. It remained there to pick her up whether she was ontime or not. Inside that car Jared waited, butterflies fluttering in his stomach. Really Jared? Why are you so nervous? He's been on hundreds of dates before in his life time and yet he was still nervous. Perhaps that said something about his character more than anything. But either way he would just have to breathe and try not to show it.

When 4’ock hit she was surprised to hear a knock on her door Hira flew towards the door wanting to see who it was it seemed that meeting Jared had gotten him to he wanted to meet new people all the time. Devika shoed him away and opened the door to see a box on the ground. Devika picked it up and opened the box and gasped dropping the box on the bed. It had to be from Jared there was no one else who knew she was staying hear. Devika curled herself on the bed with Hira on her knee staring at the dress for an hour talking with Hira what had she gotten herself into there was no way that a guy like Jared would take her for more then just a friend even that after about an hour of freaking herself out Devika realized that it was 5 and she had to get ready she couldn’t just throw her hair in a bun she had to make herself look perfect. After prepping herself up for 2 hours devika looked at herself in the mirror her hair done up and curled and the dress was on that Jarerd gave her she wore her bendi the red jewel on her forehead seeming to stick out with her simple makeup and the black dress but she didn’t like going out with out it. Devika looked down from her window and saw the car weighting for her. Her hart jumped she literally was shacking she calmed herself down a little told Hira to be good and took off down stairs When she got there she had a small smile on her face as the door was opened for her and she moved in to the car and sat next to Jared. Devika was trying to calm her nerves enough to speak but she was just hoping he say something so because she was speechless on what to do act or anything at the moment. Once they reached the restaurant he waited for the driver to open the door. As soon as the door was opened he got out of the car then left his hand out for Devika to grasp and help her from the vehicle.
If she allowed it he kept a polite grip upon her hand as they were led inside. The red carpet was rolled out for this restaurant, which it always was, but it still gave the place far more glamour than was needed perhaps. After a moment speaking to the waiter they were led off to a small table in a secluded area of the restaurant. It was somewhat near the kitchen but still far enough away to be quiet enough to conversation.
"Thank you, for joining me for dinner." How lame was that line? He wasn't even sure why he was so awkward with women. With his looks, money and the charm he could manage to muster, you'd think he'd be better at this. But that just wasn't the type of guy he was. And maybe it was that that had him see straight through all of the gold diggers and linger in the solitude of bachelordom.

For Devika this wasn’t normal at all she had so many things on her mind and when he replied to her question Devika could tell he didn’t want to talk about that well she didn’t know where to go from hear now.
Then shortly after that a man came to there table Devika could only assume was the chef because he looked like none of the waiters Devika just smiled at him as Jared ordered a wine and the appetizer. Devika was looking at the menu when Jarred asked her what she did to keep herself busy she looked up at him and thought a little bit about it “Mostly I travel it’s easy for me there not much I do besides that I take life as it comes I may go back to school in a year or two but”…She smiled boldly at him “I can’t see me doing that right now there too much about the world that a class room can’t teach.. I’m sorry the way I look at it a bit odd I guess it just when…traveling became easier for me I just needed to…” she paused she sounded like some hippie or something, she was about to say because she was sick of living in a much richer home in india and then walking out and going down the street knowing that few knew how to read and wright but it was hard to explain that that was the reason she traveled and donated all her school money to the cacaty last night.
Devika looked down at her menu she didn’t know really what she wanted but if the chef came back she knew what she was going to get. “Sorry you probably don’t want to hear my life story”

He gave a little shrug. Seeming to calm somewhat now that there was something to actually discuss. "It was all right. Got a good amount of donations as well as managed to free up some of my storage space. It was getting crowded." A soft hearted chuckle was given before he let out a bit of a sigh. And there the topic went. He really didn't want to talk about his 'work'. And so the tables were turned. Well not quite yet.
They were soon joined by a man that looked nothing like one of the waiters. It actually was the infamous chef of the restaurant. Jared took a moment to order wine for them and an appetizer, just to get things moving while Devika would have a chance to look the menu over. He already knew what he was going to get so he hadn't even bothered to open that menu.
While Devika was probably reeling about the night Jared continued to act as if it was nothing out of the ordinary. Which...it really wasn't. "What about you? What is it that you do...to keep yourself busy." He was curious to find out what a woman with her talents would do.

"I asked didn't I?" Jared chuckled as the Chef returned with their appetizer and wine. The Chef exchanged a few pleasantries then asked if they had decided on their main course. "I'll have your scallop special." Jared came here enough that he hadn't needed to look at the menu, let alone order something that was actually on the menu. "And whatever she wants of course."
While Devika was deciding and ordering, Jared pulled the cork from the wine bottle and poured each of them a glass. He was careful not to fill the glass too much so there was still room to swirl the liquid and enjoy its flavor.
The appetizer was something fairly simple. It had a set of mushrooms filled with thin layer of rice then a mixture of lobster and a fluffed cream. It was a nice mixture of texture and flavors that oddly worked together.
Once the Chef left the table Jared took a few of the mushrooms for his own plate then sipped at his glass of wine.
"Okay, no life stories. What about..statistics?" He smirked a little in her direction as he thought of something interesting to share. "Let's see. I have three younger sisters and my parents are surprisingly still together." He was just looking for something to talk about. Last thing he wanted was for them to be stuck silent at their table together.

She smiled at the Chef when he came by again “I’ll have what ever is your favorite sir” she smiled not really picky about what was on her plate she never was picky and liked the idea of trying something she hadn’t before and the chef always new what was best anyway. The Chef left seeming like he knew what he was going to cook for her
Devika smiled at the Jared when he asked about statistics “Well I’m an only child and” she giggled a little “and well my parents are still together as well ” she smiled at him “You must love having all the little sister but I guess life must of be hectic some times” Devika took some of the Mushrooms as well and tried one of them it was really good she loved the flavor of them and the taste. Devika smiled at Jared starting to get the hang of this but it was still odd for her to be in such and nice place. Devika took a sip of her wine as well and smiled at Jared “ thankyou so much by the way for the dinner”
She was willing to answer most anything he asked getting to know each other would be fun he already wasn’t the stuck up rich snob that she think that someone with his money and power would be.

"Yea, they can be drama queens." He chuckled a bit to his comment about his sisters. Of course he loved them but he had to pick on them a little bit. What were older brothers for? Jared went quiet for a moment to try and think of something else to talk about. He really wasn't sure where to go with the conversation. They talked about family and she already knew what he did with his time. There had to be something else he could ask or inquire about...something to keep the conversation going. "So...what's your favorite flower? Color?" He smirked a bit, it was a little obvious that he was searching for anything to talk about.
Time passed quickly it seemed and before they knew it the Chef was back with their dinner. One plate was placed before them before the Chef bowed his head and left. Jared had what seemed to be a simple dish of alfredo and scallops, as well as a few shrimp.
Devika on the other hand had a chicken with a cream sauce poured on top and rice pilaf on the side.
Jared smiled to her as she recieved her food. "Don't worry about it, it's my pleasure. I hope you like it."

Devika giggled a bit when he said that they where drama queens “I’d love to have the honor to meet them some day” Devika, The small moment of silence didn’t bug her to much it was small and meaningless.
She smiled when the Chef came back with there food it smelled wonderful Devika returned her smile to Jared “You want me to feel out a question air with all these questions on it to” she joked knowing he was just trying to find a way to keep them talking for the night “lets see my favorite color is Orange and favorite flower” she had to think about this one for a second “hmm Lilac or Lotus but I mostly just like how the Lilac smells”
Devika took her chicken and started to cut it and took a small bit of it, it was just as good as it smelled “What about you favorite color or flower, lets what else….hmm” Devika wanted to keep the conversion going but also to just have fun she smiled thinking what she wanted to ask him knowing it sounded odd even to her “o.k I got one you got 24 hours to live how are you going to spend it”

"And that would depend on the 24 hour period." He smiled to her and thought about it for a moment, "I mean, if it was an apocalyptic 24 hours. Then I would do what I could to make sure my loved ones were okay and taken care of. If it was a 'normal' 24 hours..I probably would just make it another day, build a house then end it with my family and friends. Probably have a nice dinner and tell them how I feel and how much I appreciated them."
Jared placed a bit of a shrug at the end of that statement. He really didn't think about his life ending, he lived in the moment and yet managed not to make that a bad thing. Some rich bachelors did nothing but drink and buy things. All Jared did was build things with his hands and enjoy life in more simple ways.
"What about you? What would you do with only twenty four hours?" He was curious now. Sure it was nice to know what her favorite color and flower was, that was information to file for later. But now she implied a whole different level of getting to know one another. This would be interesting.

Devika smiled at his repose it told a lot about who he was as a person the fact that he thought about it in two different ways but he also didn’t have a repose that she got most the time. Have fun such as sky dive still or buy a nice car and drive a million miles per hour do something crazy he reposed was…reasonable she didn’t know if it was because he could buy any car he wanted or he could do anything most people would put on their things to do before they die list but his repose wasn’t selfish
When he threw the question right back at her she took a sip of her wine before she answered “well if it was apocalyptic and it feels like the hole world is comeing down with me I’d be fighting the apocalyptic weather it zombie or some meteorite I’ll help who I can and make sure someone gets out safe if I can.” She paused for a second the knowing you where going to die the normal way she figured she wouldn’t be like him and make it a normal day she couldn’t she’d be thinking all day that this was her last day and she needed to do one last good thing something to make a difference after taking one more small sip of her drink Devika answered “I know it sounds fake and chessey but I’d spend the day helping who I could at a shelter or something maybe go and play doctor for the day…But I do know I wan’t to fly for part of the day at lest spend one hour in the sky sort of an guiltily pleaser there I guess I just love flying”
Now when she ment flying she didn’t mean in a plane or something she ment on some kind of beast it really was the one thing she enjoyed more then anything she had found. Devika didn’t know if she’d tell anyone that she was going to die maybe she wright a letter home telling her parents she loved them but besides that she didn’t think she would be able to tell them in person and that and her parents didn’t really have the same view points she did when it came to the last 24 hours of life they want to spend it most likely morning and trying to stop it witch she guessed wasn’t bad but Devika would rather be helping someone she didn’t know and they didn’t know she was not coming back not seeing her family cry over her.
Devika took a bite of her food not knowing where the conversion would go after this they both had different options on what they do with their last day but she was happy of one thing witch only proved to her that her and Jared could be friends he wasn’t selfish witch she guess she had picked up already on that but it sort of proved it with his answer.

Jared smirked a little as he listened to her choices. He supposed he couldn't blame her for that. In fact her idea had her rethinking his own. But then again he rarely spent time with his family as it was. He really should change that. Not so much with his parents, he saw his father plenty of times thanks to the business. But his sisters...he barely even knew what they were up to anymore. And that thought alone made that charming smirk fade a bit.
But he attempted not to dwell upon it as he ate pieces of his dinner. He really enjoyed the scallops and shrimp, which was why he was now down to only the sauce and noodles. He didn't mind, he'd eat those too.
They lingered in silence for a few minutes. At least they had eating as something to preoccupy themselves this time. And then finally he thought of something, he had completely forgotten to answer the question she posed earlier.
"Oh...and my favorite color is blue. And..well I'm a guy I don't really have a favorite flower. But I usually send roses." He was back to that charming smile of his, seemingly trying to lighten the mood that had turned a little dark. At least in his head.

Devika giggled when he seemed to remember what she had asked “Blue…I like it,” she was blushing when he said that he sent roses “you send dresses and roses and your still single amazing is there something I don’t know about you for a reason why” she joked she didn’t mean for it to come across harsh but it may of he just seemed so sweet she didn’t see how a guy like him was single he could have anyone of his picking and yet she was having dinner with him now.
Devika took a bite of her food again trying to think of something else to ask him “So Jarred” she smiled but then looked back down at her food wondering if this was a good idea or not to ask this question “I was wondering yesterday when you first saw me what made you want to come talk to me there where other people there that would of loved the honor of speaking with the artist and telling them how grand the work was and thould you wonderful things all night” she looked at him and blushed “It o.k if you don’t know..I just wanted to know….but then I can be nothing at all…just you” Devika looked back down and didn’t say anything after that just hoping he whouldn’t think she was a fool for saying what she said and that she wasn’t digging to deep she just wasn’t good at diner conversation most the time

Why was a rich handsome man like himself still single? He probably had answered that question several times now to other people. Not that his mother hadn't playfully bantered about him getting married and having a child for an heir's sake. But he just hadn't found the right woman yet. Certainly there were girlfriends that had come close but he also didn't want to hide from who he was either.
"Something you do not know? Uhm...I really don't know. Maybe I work too much. I do tend to stay in my workshop a lot when I'm not outside building something." He gave a slight shrug. He was fairly comfortable with this nice dinner with a woman like Devi, but generally he did tend to stay to himself. Which was probably why girlfriend after girlfriend disappeared. But then again, if they wouldn't come out of the house themselves and demanded his attention without coming and getting it now and then. It was their own fault.
"In honesty." Jared paused a moment to stare at his glass of wine for a moment before he took a sip from it and placed it back to the table. "You were different. I know the type of people that usually stop by those shows. I seen them and have to talk to them all the time. But you...you were different. Not just the way you looked or spoke, but your...essense is different. It intrigued me." He smirked a little to her once he finished.
