Jacob was sitting on a bench in a busy part of Central Park just watching people as they passed by. He had been doing this for a time as he listened to some music on his ipod and drank coffee from a to-go cup from a nearby cafe. He was just listening to the music and he was starting to get bored. The people were doing nothing interesting, their reactions to their lives right now was boring and it was starting to get to him. They were walking around like they didn't have a care in the world as if everything for them was perfect and had always been perfect, which started to make Jacob think. He started to wonder if they really didn't have any bad memories or if they were just ignoring what had happened to them. And if they were ignoring them, what would they do if they suddenly and violently remembered them? A sinister grin crossed his face as an idea began to grow in his mind. The more he thought about it, the more interesting his idea sounded and the more his curiousity grew. He had to know the answer to his question now. As a new song began to play on his ipod, Jacob began to use his powers on everyone in an area around him. He just sat and concentrated as the people just continued to do what they usually would do in the park. After a little over a minute had passed, people began to suddenly stop in their tracks and their faces became clouded. Slowly at first, the people's faces began to change from their usual happy look to other ones. Some began to look extremely angry, some extremely sad, and even some who took on these looks of pure terror that fascinated Jacob. He had to push them all the way, he had to know what they would do. As if on cue, they began to scream or roar with rage, one here then another one there then two then three then them all. Jacob released his powers as the last of them screamed and his song ended. He felt tired, or was it hungry? He could never tell after using his powers which he felt, but he did know that he was loving the reactions he was getting. Some people he hadn't used his power on were coming to see what had happened. The people he had used his power on were all doing something different. One of the angry people, an average sized man in a trenchcoat, had started screaming at everyone who got near him. One of the sad ones, a woman in a black business dress, had begun to sob and speak incoherent things. And one of the terrified ones, an older man in a hoodie who looked like he had been jogging, had actually begun to attack and trash around at anyone who was too close. There were milder reactions as well, but the reactions of those three were his favorite ones so far and it was entertaining him just watching them go. Argentina was in New York City for a few days and had decided to go to Central Park. She was wrapped thick in clothes and a cloak. Not an inch of her skin was showing. And she had a pair of dark shaded glasses on. Her skin couldn't take direct sun light and she hated it. She was due back at the Xavier Institute in four days. Which was plenty of time to see the sites like the statue of liberty and Central Park and many other places.
She was walking down a path when she heard screaming and crying up ahead. Worry filled her thinking a mutant was attacking some humans. "There goes my relaxing walk," she sighed to herself before taking off in a run. She grabbed her notebook and pen from her purse and got prepared to scribble something. When Argentina reached the area she was confused. She didn't see any reason for the humans to be acting like this. Just than she spotted a guy sitting on the bench. He seamed to be smiling and having a good time watching the people. He had to be three or four years older than herself. Rage filled her but she kept it under control. She went from person to person taking away the fear, anger or sadness from them and than throwing it at the guy who was making them feel that way. After a few minutes the people grew calm and maybe a little confused.
Argentina walked up to the guy and leaned against a tree. "Hows it feel to have those emotions thrown back at you?"

Jacob just watched them all panic. The people who were trying to calm the people down weren't doing a good job of it. The situation was getting worse and some more people were starting to react more to the situation then they had been. It was a wonderful thing to watch all the people's reactions. After a bit, he noticed a woman going through the group and as she passed everyone, they seemed to calm down. He had to guess that she was a mutant. After she had passed the last person, she hit him with something. He started to feel angry, sad, and terrified immediately after it had hit him. His thoughts began to race at the thought of this being the emotions those people felt. His smile disappeared as he sat there feeling all the turbulent emotions. It wasn't long however before his smile came back even bigger then before. He was truly enjoying this new experience. He liked watching people's reactions, but now he was getting a first hand seat at the emotions that caused their reactions.
Jacob looked over at the girl with a strange smile on his face. The blood from his scars started to bleed through his clothing by now and it gave him an eerie look. He just smiled at her for a moment before he said, " Thank you miss. That was a very interesting thing you did for me, but you should really have let things play out. What would happen if you suddenly lost this overwhelming emotion out of nowhere with no explanation?"
As if on cue, some of the people who had been freaking out before suddenly started to look strange. They looked like they were all frightened of something. Jacob just watched them for a moment before he said, " Half of them will commit suicide by the end of the day."

Argentina took a step back as his smile reappeared. Who was this guy what was he. What kind of person actually enjoyed feeling pain. When he started bleeding she took a step back. "Who are you? What are you?" Looking behind her she grew worried. "Your at fault for that. They would be wondering why they all felt that way for no reason when only minutes later they where happy. And none will commit suicide I can take those feeling away from them. I can make them feel happy." Concentrating on her powers she took the fear and bad feelings from all the people around her and stored them. "
She really didn't like this guy he freaked her out. She had met some bad mutants since she had joined the X-Men. But he was one of the worst by far. He sent a thrill of fear through her. She wanted to use it to shoot a beam of Dark Energy at him. but had just gotten the people to calm down. She didn't want to fill them with fear again. "Why don't we take this some where private," she hissed making sure only he could hear her."

Jacob watched the girl as hints of fear began to show up in the way she presented herself. He wasn't sure what she was so scared of, but it had something to do with him he was sure. He noticed she had used her powers again after saying something about it being his fault for all of this and how she could make them happy. He found that amusing, but she was just dreaming a dream of hope. There was no hope for these people. They were judged unfit to live the moment that the girl took their negative emotions away from them. Some would have taken their lives before she did anything, but she only made things worse, and she did so yet again when she tried to make them happy. He wasn't sure what was on this girls mind, but she needed to know how fruitless her attempts were. He knew he was going to get a good reaction out of her no matter what she did so it was a win win for him.
Jacob just smiled at her as he said, " My dear, no matter what you do, no matter how many times you try to make them 'happy', their fate is sealed now. And ironically, by your own hands. All I did was make them remember something that happened to them and it was up to them how they dealt with it, but you stripped them of that choice and forced how you think they should be onto them. Their depression, their doubt about themselves, their lose of the will to live, it is all blood on your hands now because you interfered when you shouldn't have. I will enjoy this either way."
The people she had taken the negative emotions away from began to become depressed and strange once more, only this time it was far stronger then last time. Jacob watched for a moment before he looked over at the girl and said, " The number of those who will commit suicide went up my dear. So shall we go to that private place and chat before you make things worse once more or would you like to keep trying to break a cycle that is not going to end?"
