*The Circus had just gotten a new capuchin monkey and given it to the young Chantel to train. Chantel didn't mind. Honestly, she loved spending time with the monkey. She even let it run around, with her control on it thought. Unfortunately, with acts being practiced left and right, someone cut the line. Instantly the monkey ran into the big top and up onto the high wire. Luckily the acrobats were taking a break and the big top wan't open to the public yet. That still meant that the monkey was Chanrel's responsibility.*
*Chantel climbed the latter up to the wire. She had done this tones of times, but not this high. She wasn't a professional but she had to get that monkey. Sitting on the small pedestal that led to the wire Chantel reached out her hand to reach the monkey, to far. She then focused, sending a string over to the monkey. This was a tangible string, and if she did this right, the monkey would be captured and brought back down in safety. No sudden movements, and no sudden noises, and she would have this monkey safe and sound in her arms.* Venez à moi *She said under her breath, aimed at the monkey.*
OOC: translate: Venez à moi = Come to me

Lainey was currently on 'baby watch' as she called it, otherwise known as baby sitting. Basically she was helping watch the children of the troupe. The little monsters, they were so evil, it took two or three people just to make sure you know where all of them were! Thankfully she was one of three, so, when she spotted Chantel chasing after that new monkey, she didn't even hesitate to follow.
Apparently, someone had broken Lizzy's control over the bugger, and monkey's, as they'd learned so long ago, were disruptive and chaotic when loose. Basically it took forever to catch them. Probably why Lainey never copied an animal tamer's skills. Then they'd expect her to work with them...
Entering the Tent, she looked right and left, trying to find where her cousin and said monkey had taken off to. By pure luck, she looked up, spotting both up by the high wire. She blinked. Chantel, like most in the troupe, knew how to walk a high wire. But only the professionals would go up that high, if only because if you fell wrong, even with a safety net, you could get hurt. Lainey herself performed up on the high wire form time to time, and, from experience, knew that wasn't a fun drop if you didn't love the adrenaline rush.
"Ye sure ye wanna go after him on yer own?!" She yelled, cupping her hands around her mouth so her voice would carry up to the high wire."

*Chantel's string was almost around the monkey, ready to grab him, when Izzy yelled up to her. The monkey surprised, moved further from Chantel.* I almost had him Izzy! *Now looking down to talk to her cousin.* Plus I don't plan on actually walking on the wire, just get him with my string!
*She then looked back to the monkey who was now grooming himself, with his tail wrapped around the wire, so he wouldn't fall himself.* If you want to be helpful climb up the other pole and make sure he doesn't escape that way. Or you can always go back to Baby Watch! *She knew that Lainey wouldn't want to do that, so she would probably help. The two made a good team, and with Lainey on the other side, the monkey would be more likely to inch over to Chantel, witch would make him easier to make.*
*Extending the string once again, snaking over to the monkey once again. Her plan would be, once the monkey is wrapped in the tangible string, then she would bring it over to her, making first contact with her hand, letting mental connection attach to him once again. Then she would be able to get down from the high wire safely.*

Lainey couldn't help but grin when Chantel missed, the monkey getting farther away form her. She figured Lizzy was trying to use her strings to catch the rascal.... And knew yelling would startle it, messing Lizzy up. Was Lainey mean for still yelling? Yes. Yes she was. Did you expect otherwise from her? Not at all.
Scowling at the two options she was giving, she muttered a Gaelic curse under her breath. After a moment though, she jogged over to the other ladder and very quickly scaled it. All the while, she scoured through her stores of skills, finding a high wire, and quickly 'activated' it. "Ah donnae think ye want me back on baby watch. No' unless ye want a few to go missin'!" She yelled as she finished climbing and stood up on the pedestal. "Alright, little monkey, ye better run back to Lizzy before ah catch ye!" She meant it to, Lainey expected that monkey to be with Chantel by the time she finished this high wire. "Er ye be in fer a world o' pain!" Okay, they didn't actually hurt the animals.... And Lainey would never dare raise a hand to one, but that didn't mean she couldn't threaten them.
With out further ado, she cautiously stepped out on the wire, her arms stretched out to help balance her. The whole wire shook a little under her weight, not settling down as she took another step, then another. Slowly getting closer and closer to where this monkey had perched itself.

*Chantel giggled a little bit at the thought of a little "monster" dissapearing. She was the youngest, so she didn't care much for any of the little ones. Luckily she didn't have baby watch that much...mostly because she used the excuse that she had to train an animal.*
*The monkey watched as Lainey stepped onto the wire. It just watched her, munching on a bug it found in it's fur. It didn't move until she got into reaching distance of it, then it scampered a little bit closer to Chantel. That was when she took her chance. The invisible string wrapped around the little monkey. The monkey trying to squirm out of it, Chantel moved it closer to her. She petted the monkey, making the connection, that was when the little rascal calmed down and got on her shoulder.*
Thanks a lot Izzy. Not sure if I would have done it so smoothly without you. As always, we are the perfect team. *Chantel gave her cousin a big smile and moved to climb down from the high wire.* That little stunt will cause this one his freedom for the day. *Not that they were mean to their animals, but they did put them in cages, for transport sake, and to keep them in check.*

Rowan had stared up at the high wire, with his arms crossed over his chest, while the girls were chasing after the monkey. He was tempted to call to the monkey and get the little bugger to come to him instead just to piss the girls off. But it wasn't too long before they finally got control of him.
"Yanno if ye wont take care o' the animals I'll make sure ye'll have other things ta keep ye occupied." Rowan's words were directed towards Chantel as she finally made it back to the ground floor. He knew she'd throw a fit but he wanted to make a point. She couldn't take training the monkey so lightly. Last thing they needed was some suit coming through and nit picking the way their animals were treated. Not to mention the fact that there was no trace of the tigers, lions and other animals that they had in their acts.
He waited for his little sister to chime in but he wasn't going to listen to her. He could always just let her ramble on and on and it didn't usually effect him. His full concentration was on Chantel.

This monkey really irritated her. The sucker was brave enough to hold his ground until she was so close she could step on him. Only then did he go running back to Chantel, tall figuratively and literally between his legs. "Cowardly, monkey!"
Now, she had to figure out what way she wanted down. It was hard turning around on a tightwire, so she'd prefer not to turn around and go back the same way, and Chantel was occupying the other platform. Okay, looks like there was only one way down. "See ya at the bottom!" With out even a second though, she jumped. Twisting her body as she fell, she prepared herself for the net, all the while enjoying the air swishing past her. Lainey was a bit of an adrenaline junky, so she was obviously enjoying herself, and disappointed when she hit the net on her back. It supported her weight perfectly, but managed to knock the breath out of her, like always.
Rolling onto her hands and knees she started the long crawl to the side of the net to jump down. Why the hell did she always, always ALWAYS land in the center? It seriously took forever to crawl out! Mid crawling though, she spotted one of her siblings, Rowan to be specific. Oh, great. "Hullo, kill joy." Rowan, being the oldest of the Fury Kids, was more often then not, the kill joy for the pair. He helped make sure things went smoothly, and, sadly, Lainey and Chantel made it their life's work to make sure things didn't go smoothly. Obviously, he was almost always the one standing in their path when they were up to something.
And, there he went again, ripping into Chantel. He was always so critical of her, probably because, being older, he was in charge of caring for the animals, and by default, in charge of Chantel. If there were problems, she reported to him. Hoping off the net, she planted her hands on her hips and gave Rowan a very dirty look. "Who put a stick up yer arse?" Of course she'd say something like that... She knew he would try to ignore her, he always did. Time to see if he'd keep that composure if she insulted him....

*As Chantel's feet touched the floor she heard the one person that she didn't want to know about this. Rowan. Of chores he had to be here, he was always trying to make her life harder. She was only seven teen. She winced slightly before turning around, head slightly hanging.* He got away and I was only trying to get him back. I know that everything is busy for everyone, so I figured that I could just get him back before any trouble was started.
*Bad attempt. Chantel knew that this one....was her fault. She had no one else to blame, and no matter what she said, it wouldn't change things. Chantel slightly snickered at Lainey's comment, she was always trying to drag his attention of of Chantel. It usually didn't work and Chantel braised for impact. She knew that she didn't always mess up like this. She helped train almost all the other animals that the circus had, except for the ones that were animals by power. Just this was the new monkey, and she was plaised in charge of training it, and getting it used to the troupe. She messed up badly, and she knew it. The monkey, witch was now happily hugging her neck, would be taken away from her and put in someone else charge.*

Rowan usually did quite well in ignoring Lainey but he was starting to get stressed. With the set up still being worked on and the fact that they had a show tonight, he wasn't dealing with it too well. His dark eyes glared over at Lainey for a moment. "And why doncha act like a lady fer once." His glare settled on her for a moment before he returned back to Chantel. "I dun wan' see that monkey out o' yer control again, got it?"
He was hard on Chantel, that was true. But he really didn't want to have to deal with someone that could shut them down. The circus was their life and how they put food on the table for everyone and it always seemed that it was all just fun and games to the kids. Rowan snorted slightly and turned to walk away from them so he could make sure the two elephants they had were ready and calm.
But before he left them alone he stopped and turned to look at Chantel. "Go ge' the horses ready. They still don' have their gear on." He liked Chantel, he really did, but the fact that she got in trouble with Lainey so often made it hard to give her the experience he wanted to give her. And just as suddenly as he stopped he pointed over at Lainey. "An' you! Get movin' to where yer supposed ta be!" He glared at her a little knowing that she'd complain since she obviously took the first chance to not be doing what she was supposed to do.

It wasn't exactly a circus secret that Lainey wasn't feminine. At all. She was about as far from feminine as possible, to be honest. The girl had never had much interest in dressing up. But for some reason, she hated when people called her out on it, even her own siblings.... Actually, especially them! So, Rowan's snarky response was met with a snarl. "Ah'll act like a lady when ye actually land one." Her eyebrows raised in a 'beat that!' sort of way. "But yer so uptight, looks like we're both in fer disappointment." It was more then a little mean of her, but Lainey was mean spirited. Did they really expect her to keep her mouth shut when he left himself open like that?
Clasping her hands behind her head, she rolled her eyes as Rowan started ordering both of them around. Just because he was the oldest, he seemed to think he was in charge- Okay, he was in charge... But Lainey didn't appreciate authority to much... Basically, if you ordered her around, you best be prepared for her rebelious side to show through. "Hey, fer all ye know, ah'm right where ah'm supposed to be."

*Chantel nodded and pulled a small harness and leach out of her pocket. She put the monkey down, fastening the harness onto him. After it was on Chantel picked up the monkey again and let it hang on her.*
*When Rowan told her to go and fix up the horses Chantel nodded, but laughed when Lainey rebelled against it. She was a submissive girl but loved to laugh at Lainey's stubbornness. But still, Chantel started to head out the back door to the tent.* I'll get the horses ready Ro.
*The small submissive girl walked out and headed to the horses staull and started with burshing the horses down, and started to get the horses ready for the show.Putting on all the ribins, feathers, reign's, and sattles. When ever a horse started to get agetated, Chantel would run over and calm him or her down, before returning to what she was doing. All the while the monkey still on Chantel, afraid of leaving again. Chantel took a small break to let out a big sigh. It was hard work, and she wished that she was still with Izzy, messing around, but she knew her work and she knew what she had to do. She worked so hard, so she wouldn't have to go on stage...that was the last thing Chantel ever wanted.*

Wow that was a low blow. It wasn't like he never had a girlfriend...they just didn't stick around long. A lot of time in his youth he ended up falling for some girl in the audience and getting damn close to getting her to 'join the circus'. Though since he hit twenty he pretty much gave up on it all. He had to keep the circus going and that didn't leave him time to think about women much.
He watched as Chantel headed away from them. "Thank ye. Now with all the time ye two spend together ah'm surprised you didn' pick up on the good habits. Like doin' as yer told." He smirked in Lainey's direction. Of course he knew it was like talking to a brick wall but he'd say it anyway.
Just as she claimed that he didn't know what she was supposed to be doing, Rowan stared at Lainey for a moment. Did she really think that he didn't know that? "Ye have yer own set o' monkeys to watch now doncha? Git." He waved his hand to shoo her in the direction away from him. Who knew where the kids were now that Lainey wasn't keeping track of them.

Lainey was more then a little proud of herself for that insult. Rowan didn't even have a comeback! SCORE! Sure, it wasn't exactly true, Rowan was quite the heartthrob when it came to young, female guests. But they never stayed. It didn't help that Rowan didn't seem to have any interest in women. Oh, to bad he hadn't had a comeback now... Because she'd just thought of one that would hit much harder then the last. Damn. Now she wanted to say it...
"Ye live at a circus, ah'd think ye'd pick up some good habits too. Like knowin' how to have fun. Some people just donnae change." She paused for a moment, deep in thought. "Actually, when ah think about it, do ye even know what fun is?" Her expression was dead serious, which was probably the point, and would make the comment sting just a little more.
And why did Rowan know what her job was? Who the hell snitched on her? Good for nothing.... "How 'bout ye go watch 'em fer me? Yer good with monkeys, ainnae ye? Think yer family, ah'm sure." Okay, in mid sentence she went from referring to the children and monkeys, to real monkeys... And yes, it was meant as yet another insult.

He stared at Lainey with leveled eyes. She was such a brat! You'd think she would grow up a little given her age... "I have plenty o' fun after the show is o'er. It just doesn't involve yer immaturity." Mainly liquor. Then the idea of Lainey being drunk at any time made a chill run up his spine. He'd have to make a mental note to keep the whiskey away from his youngest sister as long as possible. Not that they really followed the whole '21' rule. American's were silly that way.
While he hadn't had a comment back for the girl thing he had one now. "Oh so yer sayin that A'm related to monkeys...is that right? Well then so are you darlin'." He smirked at her as it seemed to have slipped her mind that she was arguing with her brother not a cousin. Couldn't really blame her on that during an arguement, there were so many of them.
"Look, ye either get back to what ye are suppos ta being doin, or Ah'll put you on clean up duty." And he wasn't refering to trash...not in the slightest. So unless she wanted be picking up after all of the horses and elephants, she probably should take his threat seriously.
