*This was one of Chantel's favorite times of the day. For two reasons. First? The last show was an hour away and then they were done, in a couple hours Chantel would be relaxing and goofing aroung with her cousins. Second, the sun was setting and it was starting to get cool. The sunset had lots of colors including yellow, orange, red, and even purple. That was the beauty of living out side. Every night you got to see a beautiful sunset, and every morning the sun rise would wake you up. Well sometimes that wasn't so fun, but it meant that it was time to get to work.*
*The evening crowd was bigger than expected so Chantel had taken Arcamedis out again. The guests seemed to love seeing him wrap all over this small girl with ease. Others seemed surprised that she could carry such a large snake. Chantel walked around with a smile on her face and with both arms out, supporting the large anaconda, and showing him off at the same time. She let people touch him and even let some people hold him for a little bit.*
*Chantel had stage fright, but she had no lines, and nothing she really had to do, except make sure Arcamedis didn't eat one of the small children.*

Theo had gotten to the circus later then he had meant to. His father's customers always would try to trick Theo into giving them a cheaper price on his father's sculptors thinking that he was stupid just because of his age. He knew how much his father's work was worth, as well as anyone else's when other people's art was brought up to try to pressure him into lower prices. He hated dealing with those kinds of people, but his father had told him to 'play nice' when talking to them. He did that and they finally figured out that they wouldn't get what they wanted out of Theo before long. He got everything wrapped up and was well on his way to the circus. He had his violin with him last time he went, so he decided to bring along his sketch pad, pencils, and pens in a satchel with him instead. Hopefully now if he got an overwhelming urge to do something artistic, he wouldn't cause problems for his circus friend.
As soon as Theo had his ticket in hand and was inside the circus grounds, he allowed a few of his faster little girls out and sent them to go hunt down the shorty. Thanks to their mental link, he knew where she was as soon as they found her and was on his way. She had moved from the original spot they had spotted her at a few times, but thanks to his girls following her, he never lost track of her. He soon found her holding the big snake again with people gawking at her. He just smiled as an idea came to him. He pulled out his sketch pad and a pencil and quickly began to draw the girl and snake as people looked at her. He kept it up for several minutes, which by that time the people had all moved on to other sights leaving Theo the only one there.
" Here, this is for you." Theo said with a cheerful voice and a smile on his face as he handed the sketch over to Chantel. " You make a good model Shorty."

*Chantel happily showed off the snake until the crowd thinned and Theo was right next to her and handing her something. She had seen him before and just ignored him. But what was he giving her. She took the paper and saw that it was a sketch of her. She was flattered, of chorse. But then she looked at him with a serious look in her face.* It's Whisper, or I ignore you. *She was getting tired of this "shorty" business. It was starting to get annoying, and if Lainey herd him call her that, it was bye bye legs.*
*Moving Arcamedis into more of a comfortable position she looked over at Theo.* By the way, what are you doing back here? Didn't you already see the show? *True, every show was at least a little different, but that still didn't tell her why he came back again. Wait, wasn't he talking about researching the circus for someone...his father? Well it didn't matter. Nothing would ruin this time for her.*
*As they talked some more people came up to her. They wanted pictures and to pet the snake. All the things that normal people, who don't live in this environment want. Chantel happily obliged them.

Theo noticed how Whisper seemed to enjoy the sketch he made of her. He had to admit that it was a bit rushed and could look better. He really wanted to try and paint her if he could. That would take time though, and he doubted he would ever get that chance any time soon. More people showed up however and wanted to get pictures of her and the snake. He wanted to keep talking with the girl, but he was going to have to wait for her to get some free time.
Theo waited what seemed like an hour to him for the people to leave Chantel alone, even though it was only around 10 minutes or so. He had started to draw again, this time not a sketch but an actual drawing. What he had gotten looked like a big door and it had the starting of some kind of pattern to it that was hard to make out yet since it was so young. He stopped drawing as soon as the last person left however. It was obvious that he had been doing it to just pass the time even though the drawing didn't look like a 'normal' person's bored doodling.
" It seems we get to talk once again Hvísla." Theo said to her in a friendly tone. " So, how has it been today? Many guests? Anything interesting happen?"

*Chantel smiled at Theo, he seemed friendly but he was calling her something weird... she wasn't sure if she should be offended or just ignore him. While deciding that she thought about his question.* Today has been like any other day. Busy. Yes, lots of guests. And I'd say the most interesting thing to happen would be an elephant named Pooky doped one on a little girl.
*It was funny, essentially since the girl was asking for it. You don't play "baby elephant" with a real elephant. She was following him and when he needed to, he lifted his tail and let it go. The girl was covered in crap! Luckily she was a member of the troupe, but unfortunately the people on baby watch had to clan her up. Those kind of things are what make life here so interesting. Things go smoothly but you never know what is going to happen next.*
*Chantel laughed a little bit as she remembered. She was actually just about to warn the girl about "elephant preasents" when Chatnel saw the signs and backed up, yelling for the girl to do the same. Her not listening ended up in her smelling for the rest of the day. Well that's what you get for standing under an elephant.*

Theo got a feeling that Chantel didn't understand what he had called her a moment ago when he saw the look she gave him after. He listened to what she had to say and thought the idea of a girl getting covered in elephant poop would have been interesting to see, which she even laughed when she must have remembered.
" Sounds like a busy day, but at least you had something entertaining happen. I was stuck dealing with old, rich men who thought that a teenager didn't know what the price of a piece of art is and trying to take advantage of this assumption. At least I got some joy out of their faces when they didn't get their way." Theo said to her in a cheerful tone as he recalled some of his day. " Oh and I noticed this earlier, but I think your confused by what I called you. Hvísla means whisper in my mother's native Icelandic tongue. I personally think you sound better getting called Hvísla than Whisper. So, will there be anything different about tonight's show?"
Theo figured there wasn't, but it was a conversation extender. He had noticed long ago that this girl could be rather shy and he wanted to keep talking with her if he could.

*Busy yes, entertaining?...sometimes. Well she did live at a circus. She was homeschooled and at the age of five could through knives pretty well. Chantel listened to Theo vent a little bit about his day. He seemed to want to get it out.* Well you seemed to have an alright day. *Chantel understood now what he called her. But it sounded a little strange.* Well if we’re going to go into different languages then why not French it would be Chuchoter. Or even Swedish making it be Viska. Or maybe Spanish where it would be Susurrar.
*Chantel was slightly teasing Theo, but still liked it in English. The point was to make it sound like it wasn’t her real name. Witch, to put it bluntly...wasn’t. Chantel would never tell a stranger her real name unless she absolutely needed to.*
*Chantel thought about the show planned. She, once again would be behind the scenes helping with everything that needed to be done. She smiled slyly at Theo.* You’re just going to have to see for yourself when it starts. *She wasn’t going to tell him. But they did have differences. The performers would get board if it was the same show every time, every day. True there were lots of things that were the same, like the main attractions and such. It would still be an amazing show nonetheless.*

Theo had to admit that it might be interesting to call her whisper in other languages, but he still preferred his mother's native tongue more then the others. He Just smiled as she mentioned that he would have to watch the show to find out if anything was different.
" My, it would seem I have a little sales woman on my hands here. You have convinced me to go see it." Theo said to her in a slightly sarcastic tone. " It will be a wonder to watch the performance and see all the amazing acts once again, but if I do, then I will be leaving you all by your self! What ever would I do if a foul monster snatched you up into the night while I wasn't keeping an eye on you?"
Theo had been fairly dramatic with what he had just said. He was feeling kind of playful and if she wanted to play around with him, why should he do the same to her? He just hoped he would get a good reply to what he said from her. He figured he would, but he still was looking forward to it nonetheless. He just kept smiling at her as he waited.

*Chantel laughed a little bit as he said that she was a sails woman. She really wasn’t. Chantel hated talking lots to strangers, she was just, mostly, talking to Theo because he was talking back. Anyway that was what they were supposed to say if someone asked that question. It made the costumer want to see it and if they answered “no” then the costumer would probably want a refund on his ticket. They didn’t like to give money back.*
*Then suddenly Theo seemed “worried” about her being snatched up in the night. Did he remember that she lived in a circus? Where they traveled around to strange places and had to deal with costumers who sometimes looked like they wouldn’t hesitate to kill anyone there if they weren’t entertained.* Sorry but didn’t you know that the monsters work for my friends, the Fury’s. I’m not afraid of anything. *That was mostly true. Chantel wasn’t scared of the monsters in the dark. She could often be found with the little monster herself, Lainey. She could just make contact with them and then she could see into their mind, and maybe control them. And she was still going under the impression that she wasn’t a Fury.*

Theo thought her mentioning that the monsters in the night worked for her friends the Furies. He had thought that she was one of them, especially after the way the tall Fury girl had treated him. He wasn't sure if she was hiding that she was or if she was being honest with him, but he put it out of his mind quickly. It didn't matter to him who she was related to since that had nothing to do with who she was, at least to him. He just smiled at her after her comment.
" Yes, but the monsters in the night aren't half as scare to most people as my little girls are. Even though they are so sweet and honest, if your nice to them." Theo said in a cheerful way. " They like to dance and chat with each other, love flowers and fruit, and they make some very good tasting food. They are such girly girls are they not?"
Theo had said all of that in a joking kind of way, but he was serious about every part of that. He didn't care what others might think about them, he loved his little girls.

*Chantel thought back to how Lainey reacted when she saw him alone with her. She looked around a little bit to see if her cousin was around. Lainey would not take kindly to the boy talking with her “innocent” cousin. True the two had been together since birth but they still had different personalities. Even if they did work off each other very well though.*
*When Theo mentioned “his girls” Chantel assumed that they were those wasps that always seemed to be around him. It was sweet how he talked about them. As he spoke Arcamedis slithered around, feeling a little bit excited. Feeling his move ments Chantel grabbed the snakes head, having more control over where he looks and who he seems to want to attack.* They sound like sweet girls. Arcamedis, on the other hand, is quite an active guy, but he doesn’t really like being held by strangers. But he loves small children. I think it’s because they remind him of large rodents. But that entirely beside the point. *Theo seemed to be joking about a true subject. That was mostly what Chantel was doing as well. She did notice how the snake would look and think about small children, especially infants in strollers or in the arms of an adult.*
