Why are we here?
Yes why? As if they would appreciate us...
Dalacur sneered to the voices in his head. If only they would just shut up for once, but he knew they wouldn't. If he was lucky they would refrain from saying anything but lately they had been more active in his mind. It worried him a bit, which might have been the initial reason why he stood upon the steps of the mansion. He paused there for a moment and scowled to himself. This was stupid...they wouldn't care...he didn't care. It wasn't worth bothering other people about.
Dal turned around and started to walk away from that door. And then he ended up turning around and going right up to that door again. He'd visit his brothers, that was if one was still here and not in Europe again, that was normal right? Yea nice and normal. All he had to do was knock on that door and someone would surely answer it. Or he could just walk in. That could work, wasn't very polite but it'd work. Finally he resigned to knocking upon the large door.
You're funny.

When you lived at Xavier’s half your life, you learned to expect the unexpected. Having Nightshade cousins randomly showing up though? Even Rose found that a bit… Unusual. Just when she was getting used to having another Nightshade under the same roof, another had to throw a curve ball. Great…
Rose was in the main room, curled up on a couch with a book on her lap, when she heard the soft knocking on the door. Slowly, her head tilted in the direction of the door, half wondering who it might be…. And if she should bother answering. Someone else would get it, right? Wait, school. Right. They don’t care about that kind of stuff. It could be a possible new student, or any other important individual. Bad to ignore. And, as much as Rose hated being a well mannered do gooder, it wouldn’t be right to completely ignore the person. So, letting out a sigh that almost said she’d seriously regret this, she set the book on the couch, got up, and headed for the door. When she opened it, she froze.
”Dalacur.” As much as she hated seeing this mad cousin of hers, and her tone obviously gave it away, there was also that small hint of respect that a Nightshade always showed their superior. She didn’t like it, obviously, but, if she expected that same respect in return? You had to give it. ”To what do we owe the honor..?”

Dalacur couldn't help but smirk that infamous fang revealing smirk of his. How fortuitous that his own cousin was the one to greet him! It actually made him happier to see her. After all he was still glad to know that the rumors of her death were greatly exaggerated. "Rose, cousin...it is good to see you." He could tell that she wasn't thrilled to see him. Then again not many were, and he couldn't really blame them.
Aww, don't think that way. They haven't seen you in a long time, they certainly missed you!
Yea, we love you...so everyone else must it only makes sense.
"I came by for a visit, can I come in?" He asked as politely as she was speaking to him, after all he was speaking to the family scribe.
Liar.
He waited for Rose to let him in. Whether he would spill his reasons for being there, or completely forget it...was still left to be seen.
You don't need them. They don't want you. You know they just see you as a burden. It's time to move on permenantly dear.

Rose would be more than a little surprised if she found out that Dalacur knew her little secret. But, at the same time, it wouldn't be nearly as bad as if Alucard knew. Because, as one of the oldest Nightshade kids, if anything happened to Parker, he would be in the running for heirship. Yeah, that'd be terrific... Thank God Parker didn't die easily.
Her expression remained neutral as he smirked. Others might have been intimidated by this man, but Rose wasn't one of them. How she wished he'd never found out she was still alive. It made this whole situation.... Troubling. No doubt Dalacur, who had far to many connections, knew what would happen if word of her.... survival got out. The woman had caused a lot of trouble when she was a teenager, and a lot of people wanted revenge.
So, putting on a polite smile, she stepped aside, pulling the door the rest of the way open so he could enter. Rose knew he could do a lot of damage if he put his mind to it, but the man wasn't stupid. Only a fool would attack the X mansion alone. An even bigger fool knowing there were three Nightshades living at said mansion. And Dalacur, who was many things? Was no fool. None the less, she would still watch him like a hawk, and he knew it. "Of course, please come in."
As much as she hated to admit it, she didn't hate her cousin Dalacur. She was wary of him, without a doubt, but hate? Hate was to strong of a word. They just.... Saw eye to eye to much, which Rose hated. She and Dalacur.... Were a lot alike. He was actually the closest in terms of personality to Rose in their entire family. Obviously, you could see the dilemma. Rose didn't want to be like him. But she was. And for that reason alone, she couldn't bring herself to hate him. There was one good thing about this similarity though... She knew him very well. "Will you share your real reason for being here, or shall we continue to pretend this is really just a harmless visit?"

Damn, she actually asked why he was really there.
You'd think she wouldn't pick up on that.
Dalacur had to think on whether he really wanted to tell her or not. If he told her then it could make him seem weak. But then it wasn't unusual for a Nightshade to have these problems. Asking for help though, that would be a stab to his pride and probably make him look weak infront of Rose. He didn't want that.
Aw, you could lift a car over your head..you're tough.
Just don't let that brute at you again...
Yea that was kind of pitiful.
While he heard the voices bantering in his head he tried to make it seem like he wasn't preoccupied in his little chat with Rose. "I came to see how Alucard is holding up." Half truth. "Dracaul had distracted me and I didn't get to see much of him the last time I was here. And I did hear a rumor from my parents that you were teaching him....something..this year." That infamous smirk returned. "Has he become a thorn in your side? I could smack him for you."
Yea! Hit the brat!
Aw, don't hurt our cute widdle brother.
While Dalacur was joking about the hitting part, he was curious to see if Alucard was showing any 'symptoms'.
