She had no reason to worry about him. A normal human probably would have freaked out about the griffin and flying snake by now but he was still calm. He reached his hand out with the bag, giving her a wide birth to take it if she wanted. Jared could sense how tense she was and didn't want to make this any more unsettling than it already seemed to be. Though that snake was rather close for his own liking..more of a personal space issue than anything else.
"No worries, I'm fine as long as it doesn't decide to bite me." He smirked to Devika as charmingly as he could muster. He mainly just wanted her to calm down. He wasn't going to do anything to her or...whatever she thought he might do that made her so uneasy. He was half tempted to show her his mutant power, if that would let her breathe and relax. That was if this was even a mutant power. There were stranger things in the world. So it wouldn't necessarily surprise him if these creatures actually existed.
"I hope you have a safe flight." He nodded towards the griffin. That smirk faded to a simple smile. He no idea where she was heading but it was the polite thing to say.

“His names Hira his a Jaculus most people don’t know what they are best way to describe them is a dragon that only a foot long but has no limbs. The small Jaculus then flew up and rested itself on Jarred shoulder deeming him an o.k person and that he liked him. Devika gave a small smirk it wasn’t often that Hira got to see people and normally when he did he was a good judge of charter.
She was still timid even if Hira has said he was o.k and he wasn’t freaking out she stepped forward and grabbed her bag and held it close to her chest. “Why aren’t you freaking out” she said “not everyone has a pet dragon and fly’s a griffin to work I brought them hear I have the power to bring any well most magical things to are world these lovely things are just as real as you and me”
Devika didn’t know why he was telling her this maybe because she was weighting for him to freak out she didn’t know he was rich maybe he thought that they where some really nice robots or something and she was doing some parlor trick. “The griffin can fly to where she needs to go we might stop once or twice but her wings are strong actually on a griffin I once flew form hear to India in 8 hours with out stoping with two other people on the griffins back…” Devika stopped why was he telling him this he didn’t need to know about Tim or Alex. She looked up at him still wondering why he hadn’t run yet why he didn’t keep the bag and then turn her in.

His eyes widened slightly as the snake creature just decided to sit on his shoulder like he belonged there. Though he was startled again as Devika just grabbed her bag from him suddenly. Did he really come off as such a dangerous person?
He couldn't help but chuckled a little as she asked that question. "That is an interesting power you have. But I am afraid I have seen stranger. You should meet my sisters." He smirked to her playfully. All things considered his power was quite tame compared to those girls. He apparently drew the short straw at the gene pool.
But just to show her that he wasn't lying his skin started to turn a darker shade of red. Then slowly what seemed like red scales started to appear like chicken pox over his skin. Those rock 'scales' grew thicker until his skin was covered in them except for his face. He offered his hand out to her so that she could see how his skin had changed. Luckily for him she had picked a rather secluded spot so it wasn't going to be a mistake for him to show off his little trick.
He listened to her words about the griffin as his attention turned to look at the beast. "Remarkable.." He was geninely curious. It surprised him that such a creature could exist...more likely that a mutant could bring such a creature into existance.

He turned red…o.k. that was odd but well Tim turned Green so it wasn’t to odd she guess well for a mutant she calmed down tough as soon as he turned red and started to grow scales. When he reached out his hand showing her that his skin has changed she steped closer to him and reached out her hand. Before looking at him in the eyes
“I didn’t know, you know with your family being so famous a figured a mutant wouldn’t want to be in the lime light and did you say your sisters there more of your family who mutants…um can I feel..um your skin I know that sounds odd but…not having a physical mutation that effects me well physically even tough most do I find it…” Devika felt she was rambling and she stopped for a second trying to think of the right words “O.k that just sounds odd how I just asked to tough you”
Hira didn’t seem to happy that his human pillow had turned hard he sat up and was trying to find where the hard skin ended and when flesh was there he didn’t look to happy when he saw that it was the face knowing he wasn’t aload to lay on peoples faces they got mad normally.

Jared seemed to notice how unsettled the serpent dragon was. He wasn't sure what he was upset about exactly but he went ahead and changed himself back to his 'normal' self. All except that arm he held out to Devika. That remained a dark red and even thickened slightly. "Go ahead, you can touch." He smirked to her, rather amused by her sudden curiousity of his power. He rarely met anyone that seemed excited to see what his power was. The ones that did know usually pegged it as rather boring, especially if they knew what powers his sisters had.
His hand and arm would feel like rock itself. Besides a slight warmth from the blood that flowed beneath it, there was no deference from his body and a rock that laid on the ground next to them.
"It's a bit weird. But comes in handy." He moved his fingers a little and the sound of rocks rubbing against each other could be heard.
As a carpenter the strength his power gave him was very helpful indeed. As well as if something went wrong he could withstand the trauma. At least if he had enough time to turn his skin into that rock surface.

Once he had turned back to normal Hira and nuzzled on to his shoulder again and made a strange sound showing he was happy.
Devika touched his hand lightly feeling the rocklyness of his hand she was sort of expecting but it was warm to the touch , she was expecting to to be cold but it seemed there was still blood flowing in him…well of course there was he didn’t lose limbs and grow rock. O.k this was sounding odd in her head.
She nodded when he said it was a bit weird but comes in handy. “I’m sure it does I bet you can take a fall much better then normal humans or get in a fight and not get as hurt,,,can’t tell you how many times I’ve fallen off a dragon or something and broken a bone or something…” she smiled at Jarded.
“You want to feel what a griffin feels like” She walked over to the griffin and started to move her fingers threw its feathers on its neck scratching it there “yea you’re a good girl aren’t you now be nice to Jarred he’s not going to hurt us I promise” Devika still wasn’t sure about that but he was a mutant so most likey not she looked over at Jarred and showed him where he could pet if he wanted to that was “sorry for acting scared it just……with everything going on lately its not really safe for mutants anymore ” She continued to pet the griffin “No where really is”

Jared smirked a little since it seemed the snake..dragon thing was happy again. But his attention turned back to Devika as he felt her soft hands against his rough rocky skin. "Yea I suppose I could do that. Not really a fan of fighting all that much." That charming smirk remained before his eyes widened at the idea of petting the griffin. "You sure?"
Well he trusted Devika as much as he could trust a total stranger but the bird was another story. He never interacted with Griffin before after all. But slowly he moved over to the large animal. His hand had turned back to his normal skin and he held his hand out to the creature. If it wished to smell him he allowed it before his hand finally touched her. It was remarkable. He had never felt something so mythical yet so real. And she 'created' these creatures? Amazing. His fingers gently brushed through the griffin's feathers before moving his hand over part of the creature's back. The contrast between the feathers and the fur was so strange. He couldn't believe what was in front of him. "You have quite an amazing talent Devi."
He smiled to her as she apologized. "Don't worry about it. I understand. The mutant race has seen better days, that is for sure."

The Griffin sniffed his hand and let Jared pet her. Devika moved her fingers threw the Griffin feathers she shuged when he said he wasn’t a fan of fighting “I only my self have used my power one or two times in a fight…I can tell you its different but I only fought for what I belive you know…freedom for everyone I saw the need for someone to step in…” a small smirk hit her lips “but it gotten me in trouble before”
As he pet the griffin she smiled “Shes a good girl don’t worry about her if anyone you should worry about bitting you its Hira there he bit me a few times and if the giffin does…Its because she thinks your going to hurt me or something” Devika blushed lightly the almost night sky hiding her blush mostly when he said she had an amazing talent “its nothing the trick is knowing the names of the things I bring out so…I’ve read a lot of fiction…it not much of a talent…expully when I don’t really like to make the cheathers do something they normally wouldn’t I don’t like commanding them to much…its hard on them and they hate there lives.”
She looked at him when it seemed to dawn on her that she was sharing all this with someone she new nothing about she turned her head away form him “I’m sorry I should let you talk more…I don’t know why I’m talking so much”

Jared had been distracted by the griffin, gently petting the creature that seemed to enjoy the attention. He grew quiet. Not because she was talking too much, no he was thinking about something. He was trying to buy time perhaps. Trying to decide if what he wanted to do was a good move or not.
He stayed quiet maybe for too long and for that he'd be sorry. But this was something he was struggling with until he finally gave up. "I guess you could say I'm more of a listener anyway." He smirked to her as a response to her worry of talking to much. "But I was wondering something."
He grew quiet again, almost as if he was regretting saying anything. It was too late now. "Would you...want to have dinner with me sometime?" There was something about her, she was brilliant and talented in her own right. It was something he wanted to get to know better. Mysteries that needed to be solved. Though he waited for the inevitable denial of his offer. Certainly a girl like her was already taken. Or maybe he was too old for her. His mind was a whirlwind of excuses as to why she wouldn't be interested. But maybe he should just let her answer before his mind got too carried away.

She smiled a bit when he said that he was more of a listener then a talker most boys where anyway so she felt a little better about her self she didn’t want to feel that he felt that she was talking to much exully when her accent showed threw more often then not.
When he said that he had something to ask she figured it had to do something with her powers like if she could talk to the monsters or if it drained her afterwards or what. She looked at him and smiled but with how quite he had gotten Devika was starting to think that this wasn’t an easy question to answer. When he asked Devika looked a bit surprised.
“dinner….sure…um…I’d love to…when” She looked at him in the eyes and slowly petting the griffin not sure what to think her mind was raceing with a million questions was this a date or was he just being nice do to the fact that they where both mutants did he really have something else to say to her and that was the only thing that came out, there was no way this was a date some one of his class has all the woman in the world to pick form so why he want to go out with her

Jared was actually surprised that she said that she would. He was speechless for a few moments before he finally realized that he probably should make some sort of reaction. He smiled to her and then took a step away from the griffin. "Well I'm glad you agreed. How about tomorrow night? Seven? I'll take care of everything."
He took a moment to search his pockets before he pulled out a pen and two cards. He handed the three items to her. "Keep the one, it has my number on it and on the other write down the address you're staying at in town and I'll have a car pick you up if you'd like." Not that he was flaunting his money, he just wanted to make it easier on her. That and he might have had some other ideas floating in his head.
It had been awhile since he had met a girl that was so...unique. So he had to make sure he made an impression. Not that being in who's family he was in didn't have an impression already. And even if it didn't work out, she could at least say that she went on a date with one of the richest bachelors in the world.

Devika toke the cards and the pen, she looked at his number before she took the paper and wrought down her number and then paused for a little bit she was planning on spending the night and flying all the way back to India well that wasn’t going to work out. So she put the address of the hotel she was staying at before she’d see if they had a room for the night. It was a cheep little place anyway on the out skirts of town not that many people new about so they normally had a room or two.
She handed him back the card with a smile “I’m looking forward to it. Umm….just wondering how formal is this dinner going to be….this is my fanciest dress that I have with me…I don’t want to be over or underdressed for anything” she had a light blush as she spoke she wasn’t sure what to think about this she new if her parents found out that he had asked her for dinner they’d freak declaring that she needed to get him to like her but Devika wasn’t like that she didn’t look at people for money and power that didn’t make the person or it shouldn’t and form what she could tell so far Jarded may have been rich but he wasn’t one to show off that fact….but then again she never had a car sent for her before.

Jared took the card and pen from her. "Let me worry about the details." He smiled to her. And while Jared was a stand offish type of a man, when it came to women he couldn't help but be a bit of a flirt. It was so easy when all you could do was throw money at them, in a manner. As for the charm to keep them...well he was a bit more rusty on that one.
Unfortunately Jared would easily get lost into his art and construction. He wanted to help people and it was just a natural step to work in the construction from his work with wood already.
And even with that charming smile of his he was a bit on the nervous side. He didn't want to let her know that though. But ideas swarmed in his mind as he thought of what he could do. "I..have to get going though." With that said he did his best not to disturb the creature on his shoulder as he gently picked it up and placed it down on the griffin's back, assuming that the two got along. "So I will send that car for you at seven tomorrow night. Until then, take care." He smiled to her still while he tried to reaffirm their plans. Once she agreed he was off. He had to get back to the art show for the end of it after all.
