Devika nodded as he spoke, looking at the poor thing. That was until he gave a small chuckle trying to lighten up a little she looked at him with a small smile “Well I’ve been told that art isn’t good unless the artist pours there soul into it and you seemed to have mastered that even when you where younger” Devika was still debating weather she wanted this piece or not it may off been something that she felt close to but where she’d but it when she was moving around so much she guessed she could always drop it off at her house her parents wouldn’t mind they wouldn’t get it either.
“Well I think its lovely…” she said when talked about there not being a creature for reference but he most likely was looking at pictures of large cats and birds “I would say if something like this was real it would look a lot like this” she didn’t know why he and smirked but she just shrugged it off and looked at the poor thing, she wished that people where o.k with mutant powers or she’d show him what one really looked like how big they where and the large muscles in there wings and how kind they where to people or at lest to her.

Mastered the art of showing one's soul even when he was younger? Yea, probably. While he really didn't feel as connected to the pieces as he had been, it was obvious in the work that the connection was there.
"Well I had a lot of practice in mastering the carving tools. I made a lot of toys for my younger sisters. My father would buy them any toy they wanted but they still would rather have had me make them one." And with having three younger sisters spread out in years behind him, he indeed had a lot of practice. He smiled as he remembered the wide array of toys, anywhere from a rocking horse to a doll house and furniture for that house as well.
"I'm glad you like it." He smiled to Devi, glad that at least someone was genuinely enjoying the pieces instead of just thinking of how they would look as a collectors item. His work was all orginal and he refused to recreate any piece. It just wouldn't be the same if he did. So naturally his work did sell for quite a bit. But he didn't care about the money, he didn't need the money.
Jared could sense something in Devi, it was in the way she looked at his piece. There was something there, something personal but of course he didn't know her well enough to know why. "I'd say this piece would suite you, but certainly you wouldn't want something so tragic around. It would be depressing after awhile.."

She smiled as he said that he had lots of practice and spoke of his sister Devika didn’t have any sisters or brothers so growing up in her home was odd with her mom in the kitchen or at a neighbors her dad at work all the time then there was just the small hand full of servants who where always running around so Devika never played much with toys she remembered having some but she was more interested in reading and getting lost in the make believe worlds on the paper but she thought it was nice that he had done this for his sisters made her kind of wish she had an older brother or sister.
“Your sisters must have been very lucky to have you make such fine toys form my experice hand made toys are always better any way…..means more when you know someone made this for you….you know what I mean”
When he said the piece would suite her she gave a smile again but turned and looked at him when he said it be depressing after awhile “I know it’s already depressing….but I guess you could say…” she paused trying to think of the right words in English “that I know the feeling…hurt, abandoned, trying to mend yourself.” She wasn’t smiling anymore she knew that most the pieces would be out of her price range and this may have been a smaller piece but it was still a lot for the piece. “and if I was able to get the piece then I wouldn’t keep it with me…you see I move a lot I travel form place to place but I’d keep it at home in India in my room I’d only see it every once in awhile…probably after….long trips”
She looked at him and smiled brightly “why don’t we move on then you have so much hear to see”

He nodded as she spoke to him. She was right. A lot of the pieces were rather expensive. He hadn't set the prices at all, it was simply something the curator came up with. An idea came to mind but he wasn't sure if time would permit it. Perhaps if he was sly enough.
"How about this one." He lead her further down, ignoring the ones they passed along the way until they reached a piece hanging on the wall. It was a three dimensional sculpture of a tiger's face. Much like a mask, it was only the front portion of the face. But accompanied with the detail of the fur and stripes of the tiger there were wisps of flames framing the feline's face. "I did this when someone introduced me to that famous poem, 'tiger tiger burning bright..in the forests of the night.'" It wasn't necesarily a real emotional piece but it had a bit of a muse behind it.
Now that he looked at it, it seemed rather childish to him. But that was what he got for digging thing out of storage. He glanced away from Devika for a moment, noticing that a few of his pieces were disappearing as they were bought. Well at least the charity was going to do well tonight.

Devika fallowed him to the next peace and looked at it, she ponared the piece for a seconded trying to remember the poem, The piece its self was different this one could be hung on a wall with other work the bright colors made her think of her home and well Tigers where found in India she didn’t love the piece but she was sure her father would.
“This one…I like how its different its flat but at the same time not…the colors on this piece are…lovely…being that you said you where insipered by the tiger, it shows. I don’t know its lovely…my papa would love something like this in are home…” She looked at him after a wile “why do you care about my option about art I’m no artest just a woman who hear to buy a peace for the charity”
She looked around seeing some people with some of the artwork leaving why others that people seemed more interested in they where setting up little auctions why didn’t he talk to of the other people in the room about his art if he wanted someone who new more about art there where many in the room who new much more then her.

Jared chuckled a bit, "I don't need someone that thinks they know about art. I don't really need anyone to make comments about my work. I work because I enjoy it." He turned and smiled to her. "You are the first person in a long time that I've seen just finding joy in looking at it. You aren't picking it apart and trying to figure out what I was thinking."
Sure he had told her what he was thinking so she didn't have to try that but the point was still there. "I thank you for being so..forth coming with your opinions. I appreciate someone thinking of a piece as trying to find it a place where it belongs. Instead of just some museum or mantle to gather dust and go ignored."
"I build homes for the less fortunate for a 'living'. I carve these creatures for leisure." He pondered for a moment then smiled to her again, "If you truly think your father would treasure it. Then it is yours to give to him. Donate what you can to the charity. That is what is important tonight." The curator would probably have kittens for the decision he just made but it was his art work after all.

She looked at him and smiled when he said that he liked how she didn’t over thing his work and that she enjoyed it for what it was not as some peace of art to sit around and also the fact that she didn’t feel that his belonged in some museum just to gather dust. “Well isn’t that the point of art to enjoy it and have fun and my opinions are just that opionions there are a million others in this room also it be….sad to see some of this work stored away I hope at lest some of these are going to good homes”
Did he just say he built homes for the less fortunate god what Devika would give to have that kind of money to give yes her parents where rich expully for India but that didn’t mean she owned any of it. But then he said something that even surprised her more he said to take the piece in front of them she looked at it and then back at her regeating that she had even said anything “…No I couldn’t someone else should pay for it for the charity that’s what this is about”
She looked at him she couldn’t tell if he was kidding or not why he want her to take the piece she just said that hear dad would like it not to mention of he found out the family name Ellwoods owned a lot of companies and so one and so forth her dad would freak putting much pride in the fact that his only daughter spoke with an Ellwood and even got a ‘gift’ form him.

"Take it." He went right ahead and took the tiger right off the wall and handed it to her. A smile remained on his face as he waited for her to take it from his hands. "I'd rather have someone take it and appreciate it for some money for the charity. Rather than have more money for the charity and someone just throw the piece in with the rest of their gawdy junk." Being of the richer side of things he had seen quite a few 'trophy' rooms that were nothing but a tacky conglomerate of junk.
"And really it is just one piece. And if you dont take this one. Then I will be forced to find out where you live in India and mail it to your father myself." He smirked to her, he wasn't going to let her tell him no. "Of course if you do not have a home here I can still have it sent to him."
Devika's reminded him of his sisters, which perhaps help decide his generosity. But then again she was a beautiful woman in her own right. It would probably be his luck that he was a tad bit too old for her. But that was all right. The likelihood that he would see her again after this night was slim.

When he reached out and handed it to her she looked at it not sure to take it or not that was until he said that he’d go and find where she lived and send it to her father himself her eyes widened, seeing the face on her fathers face when a package came in the mail that had the word Ellwood on it.
“No…there no need for that I’ll take it if you feel that’s what’s the best” she grabbed it form him with a sweet smile “and don’t worry I will just fly over soon and drop it off my parents would like it if I dropped by for a bit anyway and easier” it was true about it being easier not only for her to not have to call up her parents and tell them why something with the man’s last name on it just got dropped off but also she could really just make her way there as soon as they where done talking hear.
He was a nice gentlemen for letting her take this one she was slightly blushing as she held the artwork, she was going to have to get something else and pay what ever she had to get it where she was going to put it she had no idea maybe she’d buy a few smaller trikits and then when she was india she’d give them to some children on her way home.

Jared smirked to Devika's reaction. It was funny how some people would be so shocked when he planned to do something a little out of the ordinary. Damn money. Always attracted too much attention. Oh well, it didn't really matter to him as long as the majority of the world left him to do what he wanted. Which they normally did, unless father had some huge deal to flaunt the company with. And being the heir to all of that only made his seclusion harder to obtain.
Though he read Devika's startled reaction a bit differently than she probably expected. "I apologize if I seemed a bit on the pushy side. I would just rather know that my work is being really appreciated rather than forgotten." It did depress him a little to know that a majority of this work was going to go to complete strangers. Why did he agree to this again? Oh thats right...the orphans.
Fearing that he might have just made a complete and utter fool of himself he just sighed then smirked to her, "I'll let you look around on your own. I hope you enjoy the rest of your visit."

Devika smiled and held the art piece to her and smiled at Jared. “No it’s o.k trust me I’ve meet more pushy people then your self to be honest I’m more worried about what my dad is going to think when he find out I meet you…you know being and Elwood” She blushed lightly. Knowing her fauther would try to arrange for the two to meet again if he could and see if he could talk Jared into buying his daughter but Jared didn’t seem like the type to want to buy his wife.
When he asked her to enjoy the rest of the show she nodded and walked off looking at the rest of the peaces some of his smaller work that looked more like toys and his other large works. She spent most of her day there looking around when she was done she had spent all the money she was planning on spending she had gotten a bag full of small trinkets and some smaller peaces of work that she knew some of her friends would enjoy.
She looked bought the items and then waved to Jarred as she left she was barley able to carry everything as it was and with her carrying so much she had left her bag on the counter as she walked off. Devika only had to make it to the park she had “parked” her griffin there and Hira was weighting for her mostly his job was to if anyone found where she had hidden his griffin then he was to distract them. And then come and get her.
Devika made it to the park it was late and dark so it would of bed hard for anyone to see them the griffin stood there as she placed the artwork on it so she could take off making sure it was nice and tight it was going to be a long flight to India and she didn’t want to lose anyone it.

He smiled as he saw Devika leave with a few more items with her. It was a surprise that she was even able to make it out of the door with the way she was bogged down with bags. Well that was good. At least she left happy.
It was then that as he watched Devika leave that he noticed the bag at the counter. He walked over to the counter and tried to find out who the bag belonged to. His eyes widened as he figured out who that bag belonged to.
He grabbed the bag and quickly moved to the door of the gallery. He had to dodge a few people that wanted to talk to him, but he was on a mission. Just as he stepped out onto the street he saw a glimpse of Devika moving down the crowded street. He frowned, this was probably going to be harder than he thought.
Jared moved through the crowd and kept following the glimpses of the woman that he found. He had lost her once he hit the park. Jared wandered through some of the brush until he heard some odd noises. Moving through the brush he stopped as he saw Devika...though he had to stare at the griffin that she stood next to. His eyes were wide in disbelief at what he saw. This couldn't be real...

Devika was all set and ready to go, And the griffin didn’t seem happy about all the extra waight being tied on him “don’t worry” she said scarching his head “Will get back home then you can rest for hours why I go talk to daddy” she smiled Hira (snake with wings about a foot long) seemed happy that she was back and was flying all around.
“Come on Hira your wings are too small you can’t fly all the way to India with out stopping get on the griffin”
Hira zoomed into the bush running into Jarred and hissed at him his wings expanding. Devika ran over to see what her little dragon, snake was upset at when she saw Jarred. Devika as soon as she saw him grabbed Hira and turned and ran trying to mount her self on to the griffin witch was difficult with the dress and heals on. It wasn’t quite late enogh that Devika could just fly out of there but she couldn’t face Jarred he knew that there was something wrong with her he’d pick it up fast that she had something to do with monsters and she was a mutant so it was no point staying there it was just a good thing he didn’t know her last name and her address she could ruin her and her family. She was about to take off right then with out truning a back unknowingly that Jarred had her bag witch had her pretty much her life it in.

"Whoa!..." Jared's eyes widened to the sight of the flying snake suddenly in his face. He froze, not sure what to do. Though when Devika appeared he smiled to her. "Hey..." And then she was gone. He blinked a bit in confusion as he watched her climb the griffin and prepare to leave.
"Hey wait! You left your bag!" He frowned as he watched her panic and be close to just flying off forever. He supposed that he didn't blame her, after all if this was because of a mutant power...well it wasn't safe to be a mutant anymore. Sometimes he wondered if it was worth going up to that asteroid he heard about. But with a sigh he stood there and waited to see if she'd run off or turn around.
Jared made no movements to chase her or to run away. It seemed like he had either seen such things before or at least was used to odd things. Even one of his sisters could move her hair like they were an extention of her arms. So he was used to seeing odd things. And that wasn't even mentioning his other two sister's powers. He seemed to have gotten the short straw when it came to powers. Oh well.

The Griffin was about to take off when she hurd him say she had her bag, Devika said one word in Arbic “Qef” and then the Griffin suddenly stayed very still but you could tell it wanted to bolt out of there as much as Devika.
Devika looked at Jarred debating on if it was save or not to talk to him or just bolt out of there he had her bag witch did have her ID, Pass port, and other very important things she looked at the bag. Before she slipped off the griffin on the farther side away form Jarred and looked at him.
“Can…I have my bag please” she stepped forward slightly staying close to the Griffin in case she needed to run. The small flying snake had sliped out of her hands and flew towards Jarred and stuck his tough out sniffing him like snakes do he few all around Jarred being very graceful with his movements Devika spoke a few more words in Aribic, pretty much saying to the snake to make sure there was no weapons on him or anything.
“He won’t hurt you” Devika said “he’s to much of a pansy for that” Devika looked at him she was still scared that he would turn her in for being a mutant and she’d end up somewhere she didn’t want to be as of late people where being so hard on mutants for being mutants.
