Parker made his rounds, as usual. He had gotten into the habit of making mind rounds around the school, after being attacked a few times. Sometimes he disgruntled his fellow telepaths, but after a while, they came to expect it. Parker just needed to know what was going on and if anything unusual was going on. Just an early warning system.
Then, in his mind, Parker spotted a girl named Reverie, who was also a telepath. Her power was completely annoying. Her power allowed her into anyone's mind, including Parker's, even with his so-called indestructible barriers. Reverie seemed to slip through all the time and he could tell she was on the edge of insanity, because she couldn't control her power. She could get into anyone's mind, but at the cost of not being able to turn her power off or tuning out minds. That was his impression at first glance.
It was kind of weird, having someone else in Parker's mind without his permission. Even his powerful cousin, Sky, couldn't get into his mind without his permission. But this girl couldn't even control her power and got into his mind anyway! It was infuriating.
